Abstract

Elementary education master's program students must complete teaching practice to become lecturers in the future. However, how they integrate and employ technology to support their learning practices is still understudied. This research aims to analyse the integration of technology in research and learning practice. This research employed a qualitative approach with a phenomenological type. The research subjects were students participating in research and learning practice programs who were selected purposively. Data collection was carried out through interviews and documentation. Data was analyzed using interactive analysis. Research programs and learning practices were carried out by utilizing technology in planning, implementing and evaluating learning. Technology-based planning can be seen in teaching materials, teaching media, teaching materials and even the preparation of digital- based teaching assessment instruments. Learning is carried out using a variety of digital technologies. Commonly used learning media include PowerPoint, Canva, video and YouTube. Online quiz applications dominate learning assessment. The findings of this research have urgency in finding patterns of technology integration in lectures. This contributes to the potential for further research regarding the development of technological innovation in learning that needs serious attention to be studied.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to improve the ability of teachers to apply the Problem Based Learning Model through IHT at Vidya Qasana Public Elementary School.  The method and design of this research is action research carried out with research procedures based on the Kemmis and Taggart principles which include the following activities: (1) planning, (2) implementation of action, 3) observation, (4) reflection or evaluation.  Increasing the ability of teachers to apply the PBL Learning Model through the application of IHT has increased. The increase occurred due to time management activities in the form of synchronization of iHT implementation time and the mentoring process from classical to group. This has an impact on teacher participation in participating in IHT activities. In cycle 1, the number of teachers who obtained the very good category in the aspect of teacher participation in IHT activities was 62.5% and increased to 87.5% in cycle 2. In the aspect of school principals carrying out IHT activities, cycle 1 achievement of 25% then increased to 100% in the cycle The ability of teachers to apply the Problem Based Learning Model has increased. The increase was after there was an increase in teacher participation in following IHT, thus impacting teachers' understanding and ability to apply PBL in learning. This can be seen from the percentage of teachers who obtained the very good category. In cycle 1, the number of teachers who obtained the very good category in the aspect of lesson plan PBL development was 62.5% and increased to 87.5% in cycle 2. In the aspect of implementing PBL in learning, cycle 1 achievement of 25% then increased to 87.5% in cycle 2

Abstract

The curriculum serves as the objective to guide education. Teaching modules are designs or instructional tools that are based on the curriculum and are used to meet established competency standards. It underscores the importance for educators to use teaching modules when developing lessons. The aims of this study is to analyze the ability of students enrolled in an elementary teacher education program to develop a Civics teaching module for elementary schools. This research is of a qualitative descriptive type, with data collection methods including observation, questionnaires, and documentation, employed in this qualitative study. The subjects in this study are 47 sixth-semester students from class 6E, comprising 7 male students and 40 female students from 12 groups selected based on their ability to develop teaching modules categorized as very good, good, fair, and less good. The research instrument uses an interval scale questionnaire of the Likert scale type. The results of PGSD students' ability in developing curriculum-based teaching modules were obtained after calculating each group's score based on the assessment rubric for each component. The overall percentage result is 80.70%, which falls into the "Good" category. Based on the research results, it can be concluded that the majority of students have good abilities in developing Civic Education teaching modules in elementary schools according to the indicators of the Free Curriculum teaching modules.

Abstract

This study seeks to examine the differences between the Value Clarification Technique (VCT) model, integrated with socioscientific issues through role-playing, and the more commonly used problem-based learning model in schools. Scientific literacy among elementary school students remains low, necessitating innovative teaching approaches. The research employed a quantitative, quasi-experimental design, specifically utilizing a non-equivalent control group pretest-posttest model. The sample consisted of 71 fifth-grade students, divided into two groups: the experimental group, which received the VCT-based intervention, and the control group, which followed the standard curriculum. Data were collected through pretest and posttest assessments, and hypothesis testing was performed using paired sample t-tests and independent sample t-tests via SPSS 2022. The results indicate that the VCT model, integrated with socioscientific issues through role-playing, significantly improves students' scientific literacy, particularly their ability to explain scientific phenomena. As a critical 21st-century competency, scientific literacy enables students to analyze information, articulate scientific concepts, and draw evidence-based conclusions from data.

Abstract

Generally, the weakness in students' democratic attitudes stems from a lack of understanding of the principles of democracy. Therefore, there is a need for a successful learning model to instill democratic attitudes in students. The purpose of this study is to analyze the impact of the group investigative learning model on the democratic attitudes of Elementary School Education (PGSD) students. A quantitative approach and quasi-experimental design were employed in this study. Employing a random cluster sampling technique for sample selection, the population comprised a total of 71 second-semester elementary education students, divided into classes A2 and A7. Questionnaires, observations, and documentation were used for data collection. Data analysis involved descriptive analysis and inferential analysis, using tests for normality, homogeneity, and hypothesis testing through the independent simple t-test. The data analysis resulted in a significance value (2-tailed) of 0.000, which is less than 0.05 (0.000 < 0.05) in the t-test for the experimental class. Therefore, the null hypothesis (Ho) was rejected, and the alternative hypothesis (Ha) was accepted, indicating that the implementation of the group investigative learning model significantly influences students' democratic attitudes.

Abstract

Students still have difficulties in developing their interest in learning and the ability to solve science problems. This has an impact on students having difficulty working in groups, communicating, solving problems, and making decisions as the right solution to a problem. The objectives of this study are (1) to analyze whether there is a difference in learning interest and science problem-solving ability of students who use educational comics and students who do not use educational comics (2) to analyze the influence of educational comics on the increase in learning interest and science problem-solving ability in students. This research is expected to provide data about the use of comics in improving students' problem-solving abilities and interest in learning. This research was carried out with the research subject in the form of 5th grade elementary school students. This study uses a quasi-experimental design with a pretest-posttest control design. The data collection method uses research instruments in the form of questionnaires and tests. The data analysis technique used is quantitative descriptive analysis. Based on the hypothesis test, the independent t-test with a significant level (a) of 0.05 obtained a significance value of 0.000 and the paired sample t-test with a significance level of (a) 0.05 obtained a significance value of 0.000. Thus, it can be concluded that there is a difference in learning interest and science problem-solving ability between students who use educational comics and students who do not use educational comics, educational comics also affect the increase in learning interest and science problem-solving skills of 5th grade elementary school students.
