Abstract

This study aims to determine the macroeconomic variables of the BI Rate, the amount of money in circulation, and the Jakarta Composite Index on the growth of corporate sukuk in Indonesia with inflation as a moderating variable. This research is quantitative research whose data sources were obtained from the Financial Services Authority, Bank Indonesia, and PT. Indonesia stock exchange. There are 24 samples from the 2019-2020 period which are used with data analysis techniques. The results showed that the variables BI Rate, Money Supply, and Composite Stock Price Index had no effect on the growth of corporate sukuk in Indonesia, but inflation was able to moderate the BI rate, Total Money Supply, and Jakarta Composite Index on the growth of corporate sukuk in Indonesia. The impact of this study shows that the increase in the BI Rate, Money Supply, and Composite Stock Price Index will be followed by an increase in corporate Sukuk in Indonesia, conversely if the BI rate, money supply, and JCI decrease, the corporate Sukuk in Indonesia will decrease. Keywords: Sukuk; BI Rate; Money Supply; Composite Stock Price Index; Inflation Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui variabel makroekonomi BI Rate, Jumlah Uang Beredar, Indeks Harga Saham Gabungan terhadap pertumbuhan sukuk korporasi di Indonesia dengan inflasi sebagai variabel moderasi. Abstract

The stretching development of the global halal industry, including Indonesia, continues to receive consumers' attention. Among the many sectors that attract consumers' interest is cosmetics, especially with a halal label; product quality supported by promotions by public figures continues to encourage consumers' desire to use halal cosmetics. This study aims to confirm the influence of millennial consumer behavior on purchasing decisions for halal cosmetic products. A random confirmation process of the respondents accompanies this quantitative research method. There were 120 respondents who were dominated by women millennials, with the SmartPLS test tool and a Likert scale of degree 4. The research results were among the four independent variables. Halal labels and sales services had no effect, while product quality and consumer ratings affected purchasing decisions for halal cosmetics. At the confirmation level, it is known that halal labels and sales services get respondents' attention; even without knowledge about them, they immediately buy products because of brands, influencers, and friend recommendations. So, the halal label and sales service does not have a significant effect; instead, it is an attitude of 'ignorance' and is more due to brand or influencer education, as previously stated.

Abstract

The development of Islamic banking credit risk shows a downward trend. However, the existence of Indonesian Islamic banking in the world is not yet among the best ranked, even though it has the largest Muslim population. This study examines the factors that influence credit risk in Islamic banks in Indonesia by using the bank's specific characteristics and macroeconomic factors. This study uses a multiple linear regression method with monthly data on Islamic banking in Indonesia for the period 2020-2022. The dependent variable for credit risk uses Non-performing financing (NPF). Independent variables from bank-specific factors are used Capital Adequacy Ratio (CAR), Financing to Deposit Ratio (FDR), and Operating Expenses to Operating Income (BOPO). While the independent variables from macroeconomic factors use inflation and interest rates. The results showed that the CAR, FDR, and inflation variables affected the credit risk of Islamic banks. FDR has a positive effect, while CAR and inflation have a negative effect. BOPO and interest rates do not affect credit risk.

Abstract

Islamic banking's financial stability can improve efficiency and health and be able to withstand shocks originating from internal and external factors. This study analyzes the impact of risk, diversification, and inflation on the financial stability of Islamic banking. By using monthly time series data from 2018–2022, the analysis method used is multiple linear regression and moderate regression analysis (MRA) using the Eviews version 10 application. The results showed that the credit risk variable (NPF) has a significant negative relationship to financial stability (Z-Score). As well as the liquidity risk variable (FDR), financing diversification has a significant positive effect on the financial stability of Islamic banking (Z-Score). Macroeconomic variables (inflation) can strengthen the effect of financing diversification and weaken the effect of liquidity risk (FDR), but inflation cannot moderate the effect of credit risk (NPF) on the financial stability of Islamic banking (Z-Score). This study introduces a new theoretical approach to the conceptual relationship between variables. The findings can serve as a reference for monetary authorities in considering the impact of inflation in setting financial stability policies.

Abstract

Islamic banking in Indonesia faces unique challenges related to financing risks (NPF), particularly in the context of financing diversification (FDV), income diversification (IDV), and other influencing factors. This study investigates the impact of FDV, IDV, bank-specific factors, and macroeconomic variables on NPF in Indonesia’s Islamic banking sector. Using monthly data from 2016 to March 2024 and employing the ARDL approach, this study analyzes the short-term and long-term effects of these factors. The results indicate that FDV and IDV do not significantly influence NPF. Similarly, bank-specific factors such as capital (CAP), efficiency (OPE), and bank size (SIZE) are not significant determinants of NPF in Islamic banking. However, asset quality (AQ) and diversification (DIV) were found to significantly increase NPF. Among macroeconomic factors, inflation (INF) has a significant positive effect on NPF in both the short and long term, whereas the BI rate (BRT) has a significant negative effect. This research highlights the need for Islamic banks to mitigate financing risks associated with diversified products, both from PLS and non-PLS contracts, while maintaining public trust by enhancing their credibility and existence as intermediary institutions. Emphasis should be placed on optimizing product diversification strategies, improving asset quality, and monitoring macroeconomic conditions to sustain financial stability.========================================================================================================ABSTRAK - Apakah Diversifikasi Mempengaruhi Risiko Pembiayaan pada Bank Syariah di Indonesia? Suatu Pendekatan ARDL.
