Abstract

Purpose - This study aims to analyze factors that influencing credit risk  in Indonesian Islamic banks based on the board characteristic.Method - This study is a quantitative method using secondary data from nine Indonesian Islamic banks during 2018 to 2022. The sample of this study was taken by purposive sampling method and the data were analyzed using panel data regression analysis, including the classical assumption, F-test and T-Test.Result - This study povides evidence that sharia supervisor board size and women on board of directors are negative and significantly related to credit risk. However, the education level of board of directors and indepedent commissioners does not influence Indonesian Islamic Bank’s credit risk.Implication - These findings have implications for regulators and policy study to streghthen the internal governance mechanism to protect the Indonesian Islamic banks from financial failures and increseas the trust of stakeholder thorugh the effectiveness of implementation good corporate governance.Originality - This study represents a novel contribution to the literature on the determinants of Indonesian Islamic Bank’s credits risk as it conceptualized the relationship between board characteristic  and the credit risk. This study represents the few that adopt comprehensive modeling approach by proposing the role of board of directors’ gender diversity and education level and Islamic governance context represented by sharia supervisory board.

Abstract

Masalah yang dihadapi umat Islam sangatlah beragam dan kompleks termasuk masalah ekonomi. Wakaf merupakan salah satu solusi. Perlu penguatan dari sisi keilmuan hukum Islam, tatakelola wakaf. Para pengelola wakaf (nadzir) haruslah profesional tidak memutarbalikan tujuan pemberi wakaf (waqif), apalagi untuk kepentingan lainnya. Prinsip wakaf yaitu mengelola aset pokoknya, dan memanfaatkan hasilnya untuk pengentasan kemiskinan dan tujuan kemanusiaan lain.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi potensi kolaborasi antara seni tari Beriuk Tinjal dan platform media sosial TikTok dalam meningkatkan kreativitas peserta didik. Beriuk Tinjal, sebagai salah satu bentuk seni tari tradisional Indonesia khususnya pulau Lombok, menghadapi tantangan untuk tetap eksistensi relevan dan menarik bagi generasi muda di era digital. TikTok, sebagai salah satu aplikasi berbagi video yang popular, menawarkan berbagai fitur yang dapat digunakan untuk mengajarkan dan mempromosikan seni tari tradisioanal. Melalui metode studi kasus dan pendekatan kualitatif, penelitian ini menganalisis bagaimana penggunaan TikTok dapat meningkatkan kreativitas peserta didik dalam belajar dan mengekspresikan seni tari Beriuk Tinjal. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa integrasi TikTok dalam pembelajaran tari tidak hanya memperkaya pengalaman belajar peserta didik tetapi juga memberikan ruang bagi mereka untuk berinovasi dan mengeintegraikan kembali gerakan-gerakan tari tradisional dalam konteks yang lebih modern dan menarik. Temuan ini mengidentifikasi bahwa kolaborasi antara seni tradisioanl dan teknologi dapat menjadi strategi efektif untuk melestarikan warisan budaya sekaligus mengembangkan kreativitas generasi muda. Abstract

The size of the Gen Z segmentation, which reaches a range of 40 per cent in 2045 and the tendency to consume halal products, and the role of religiosity are interesting studies to be studied. With regard to this, the stimulus-organism-response (SOR) model is needed to see and analyse the credibility of the influncer and the role of religiosity in mediating the decision to purchase cosmetic products. This study was conducted with a quantitative approach of SemPLS method, with 100 respondents, most of whom are gen Z. This study found that the model obtained was valid, but the position of religiosity did not mediate the credibility of endorsers, popularity, and business ethics on purchasing decisions for cosmetic products. This is considered reasonable, considering that consumers use more rationality in deciding their purchases. In addition, the popularity, attractiveness, and credibility of endorsers increase the decision to purchase cosmetic products. Of course, in accordance with the findings, valuable input can be provided, especially in the halal beauty industry to continue to educate with improved marketing strategies and contribute to the theoretical literature of management and marketing science.

Abstract

This study analyzes the use of mobile banking by both Islamic and conventional bank customers using the theory of consumption value. The aim of this research is to evaluate the factors influencing customers' decisions to use dual mobile banking services. The proposed hypothesis is that the intention to use Islamic mobile banking services is influenced by functional, conditional, social, emotional, and epistemic values mediated by consumer preferences. The method used is structural equation modeling with partial least squares (SEM-PLS) with a sample of 191 people, all of whom use both conventional and Islamic mobile banking. The results show that the theory of consumption value does not directly affect the interest in using mobile banking, either conventional or Islamic, except for the emotional value variable. Consumer preferences mediate the effect of functional, conditional, emotional, and epistemic values on the intention to use conventional mobile banking. Meanwhile, conditional, emotional, and epistemic values influence the interest in using Islamic mobile banking, which is mediated by consumer preferences. These findings indicate that the consumer's intention to use mobile banking is influenced by the theory of consumption value regardless of whether the service is Islamic or not. The implication of this research is that Islamic mobile banking services need to improve their service quality by considering consumer preferences and the theory of consumption value, thereby enhancing the usage of services by both conventional and Islamic bank customers.

Abstract

The song is one of the teaching media used by preschool teachers around the globe. Indonesian preschool teachers face a rising problem: the government regulates a standard curriculum where the educational song is compulsory. Yet, there is no concern to facilitate and fill in the absence of children's educational songs. This study aims to unveil the creative process of non-music education graduate teachers in composing educational songs as required by the curriculum. This study employs a qualitative design based on a case study of thirty-three teachers from eleven different preschools in Semarang, Central Java, Indonesia. The researchers analyze the preschools' curriculum, teachers' interviews, field observations, and documentation. The findings show that teachers can use their creativity to create songs with educational messages projected in a collective poetry singing performance. Poetry singing allows students' aesthetic skills development through continuous song probe and response between teachers and students.

Abstract

This community empowerment aims at improving skills of and intensifying scientific writing and publication for teachers under the auspices of the Ki Hajar Dewantara KKG, Purwanegara, Banjarnegara. Difficulty of publication triggered by a lack of motivation, was given a solution in the form of encouraging teachers to restart their scientific writing activities. The enthusiasm given was accompanied by the provision of motivation about the importance of writing skills for a teacher and its benefits for various parties. Furthermore, the problem of difficulties for teachers to publish due to lack of ability and skills to write scientific papers was given a solution in the form of training: facilitation-based action learning model. Based on the series of activities, it was concluded that efforts to motivate the participating teachers to write scientific papers showed good results. The teacher's enthusiasm and willingness to write scientific papers deserves to be appreciated. Furthermore, the teacher's skills in writing scientific papers showed good results as well. However, this activity has not succeeded in publishing participants' scientific papers in scientific journals. Suggestions given are those related to implementation time management, provision of materials for writing scientific papers and their practice, as well as methods of writing assistance. AbstrakKegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan dan menggiatkan kegiatan menulis karya ilmiah dan publikasinya bagi guru, yang bernaung di KKG Ki Hajar Dewantara, kecamatan Purwanegara, kabupaten Banjarnegara. Kesulitan publikasi yang dipicu oleh kurangnya motivasi, diberi solusi berupa pemberian semangat kepada guru untuk memulai kembali aktivitas menulis karya ilmiahnya. Semangat yang diberikan diiringkan dengan pemberian motivasi tentang pentingnya keterampilan menulis bagi seorang guru dan manfaatnya untuk berbagai pihak dalam dunia Pendidikan. Selanjutnya, permasalahan kesulitan guru untuk melakukan publikasi yang disebabkan oleh minimnya kemampuan dan keterampilan menulis karya ilmiah diberi solusi dalam ujud pelatihan. Pelatihan yang diadakan adalah model action learning berbasis fasilitasi. Berdasarkan rangkaian kegiatan pengabdian disimpulkan bahwa upaya memotivasi guru-guru peserta kegiatan untuk menulis karya ilmiah menunjukkan hasil yang baik. Semangat dan kemauan guru untuk menulis karya ilmiah layak untuk diapresiasi. Selanjutnya, keterampilan guru dalam menulis karya ilmiah menunjukkan hasil yang baik pula. Namun demikian, dari kegiatan pengabdian ini belum berhasil mempublikasikan karya ilmiah peserta di jurnal-jurnal ilmiah. Saran yang diberikan untuk pelaksanaan kegiatan lain di kesempatan yang berbeda adalah yang terkait dengan manajemen waktu pelaksanaan, pemberian materi yang terkait dengan prosedur menulis karya ilmiah dan prakteknya, serta metode pendampingan penulisan.

Abstract

Keroncong is one of the cultural heritages owned by Banjarnegara, which needs to be preserved through education, especially in elementary schools. However, the competency in playing keroncong music for teachers is not sufficient, so it is necessary to hold a keroncong training program for teachers. This keroncong training aims to increase the knowledge and skills of teachers in playing keroncong music. The main stage of the activity is programmed training, which consists of planning steps, training implementation, and independent practice. The planning step includes identifying the types of activities for training, material development and implementation design, as well as preparing supporting facilities, while in the training implementation step a workshop is held which includes presentation of material on keroncong music, individual and group practice in the training arena accompanied by the implementing team. In the independent practice step, participants practice playing keroncong music in groups using the available instruments. From a series of community service activities, it can be concluded that the teacher's knowledge and skills in playing keroncong music have increased. The participants managed to play the cak, cuk, cello and bass instruments well to accompany the keroncong song they were singing. As a follow-up to the activity, it is suggested to carry out keroncong music learning training for elementary school teachers and provide a set of Keroncong musical instruments in schools as a means for teachers to teach them to students. AbstrakKeroncong merupakan salah satu warisan budaya yang dimiliki oleh Banjarnegara, yang perlu dilestarikan keberadaannya melalui jalur Pendidikan, khususnya di sekolah dasar. Namun demikian, kompetensi bermain musik keroncong para guru belum memadai sehingga perlu diadakan program pelatihan keroncong bagi guru. Pelatihan keroncong ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan guru dalam bermain musik keroncong. Tahapan utama kegiatan adalah pelatihan terprogram, yang terdiri dari langkah-langkah perencanaan, pelaksanaan pelatihan, dan praktek mandiri. Langkah perencanaan meliputi identifikasi jenis kegiatan untuk pelatihan, pengembangan materi dan rancangan pelaksanaan, serta penyiapan fasilitas pendukung, sementara pada langkah pelaksanaan pelatihan dilaksanakan workshop yang meliputi pemaparan materi tentang musik keroncong, praktek individu, dan kelompok di arena pelatihan didampingi oleh tim pelaksana. Pada langkah praktek mandiri, peserta mempraktekkan bermain musik keroncong secara berkelompok dengan menggunakan instrument yang tersedia. Dari rangkaian kegiatan pengabdian dapat disimpulkan bahwa pengetahuan dan keterampilan guru dalam bermain musik keroncong mengalami peningkatan. Peserta berhasil memainkan instrumen cak, cuk, cello dan bass dengan baik untuk mengiringi lagu keroncong yang dinyanyikan. Sebagai tindak lanjut kegiatan, disarankan untuk dilaksanakan pelatihan pembelajaran musik keroncong bagi guru sekolah dasar dan menyediakan seperangkat alat musik Keroncong di sekolah sebagai sarana guru untuk membelajarkannya bagi siswa.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the influence of financial performance, environmental performance, tax avoidance, and gender diversity on sustainable development goals (SDGs). Based on the background and after deepening the literature, the researcher found a research gap from previous research that examined the relationship between the Company and the SDGs. Until now, research that connects the influence of financial, environmental, and diversity factors on achieving the SDGs is still minimal. Therefore, this study aims to analyze the influence of the current ratio, free cash flow, environmental performance, tax avoidance, and gender diversity in the board on the company's contribution to supporting the SDGs goals. This research is expected to contribute to academic literature and business practices related to the role of companies in sustainable development. This study uses a quantitative approach. The population in this study is all companies listed in the DES (Sharia Securities List) that have annual reports and sustainability reports for the 2021-2023 period. The sampling technique used in this study is purposive sampling. The sample in this study is 70 companies. The data collection technique in this study is using documentation techniques. The hypothesis test in this study uses the formula 1) T-test, 2) F-test, and 3) Determination Coefficient Test. Based on the results of the data analysis processed and the discussion that has been described by the researcher, the following conclusions are reached: 1) The current ratio of companies has a positive effect on the SDGs. This is because companies that show greater liquidity and profitability tend to have the necessary resources to support the SDGs. 2) Free cash flow does not influence the SDGs. This can happen because free cash flow only shows the availability of funds, and how the funds are used.  3) Environmental performance has a positive effect on the SDGs. This can happen because by increasing environmental performance, companies can help support the global goals (SDGs) related to environmental sustainability. 4) Tax avoidance carried out by companies will hurt the SDGs. This is because taxes are one of the largest revenues owned by the state. 5) Board gender diversity has a positive influence on the SDGs. This happens because the level of equality in the board can encourage an inclusive work culture and will have an impact on company productivity.

Abstract

Purpose: This research examines the impact of corporate governance mechanisms, profitability, and company size on tax avoidance. Methodology: This research uses multiple regression analysis and an independent sample t-test. Based on a sample of 380 firm-year observations from 95 manufacturing companies listed on the List of Sharia-Compliant Securities in Indonesia and Malaysia in 2015-2018. Findings: The results of this research concludes that independent of the boards, audit committees, audit quality, institutional ownership and managerial compensation had negative influences on tax avoidance. Profitability and company size had positive influences on tax avoidance. This research also finds differences in the level of tax avoidance in Indonesia and Malaysia.
