Abstract

Family income could indicate the ability of family in fulfilling food necessity. Family with higher income could get sufficient food intake for the whole family members, especially toddler, so good nutritional status would be reached. Research had been conducted in Bojong Village Subdistrict of Pameungpeuk Garut Regency to find out the relationship between family income and nutritional status of toddler. Survey method was applied in this research with samples of 30 families who still have toddlers. The relationship between nutritional status of toddler and family income was tested by the Rank Spearman. Result of the research showed that there was a strong relationship between nutritional status of toddler and family income (r 3,06 much bigger than r - table 1,70. Determination Coefficient was 85.94 meant family income gave contribution 85.94% to nutritional status of toddler.

Abstract

Breadfruit besides can be consumed directly, can also be processed into intermediate product, that is processed into breadfruit flour. Producing breadfruit flour is an effort of food diversification, to reduce people dependency on wheat flour, and to extend the storage time. Characteristic of Breadfruit flour is affected by temperature and drying time. Therefore, it is necessary to do research to find out the effect of drying time on particular temperature level on characteristic of breadfruit flour. This research applied the Randomized Block Design with five treatments which was drying time (A: 6, B: 6.5, C: 7, D: 7.5, E: 8 hours), and each treatment was repeated five times. The organoleptic test was conducted on color and aroma, while the chemical test was moisture content. Result of the research showed that drying time effected color and moisture content significantly. However, aroma was not affected by the drying time. The best characteristic was produced by treatment A (6 hours) based on color (4.85). moisture content of the product was 12.21%.

Abstract

Natural disasters are one of the natural phenomena that threaten human survival. The negative impacts can be in the form of material or non-material losses. However, with the ability to recognize the early symptoms of a disaster, humans can prepare themselves for disaster. Application of the K-Means clustering Algorithm in Grouping Provinces Based on the Number of Villages / Sub-districts with Anticipation / Mitigation Efforts for Natural Disasters Using the WEKA Application. The data sources for this research were collected based on documents describing the Number of Villages/ Urban According to Natural Disaster Anticipation/Mitigation Efforts produced by the National Statistics Agency. The data used in this study is provincial data which consists of 34 provinces. There are 4 variables used, namely Natural Disaster Early Warning System, Tsunami Early Warning System, Safety Equipment, Evacuation Path. The data will be processed by clustering in 2 clusters, namely clusters with high anticipation/mitigation levels and low anticipation/mitigation levels. The results obtained from the assessment process are that there are 5 (14.71 %) provinces with a high level of anticipation/mitigation and 29 (85.29%) other provinces including a low level of anticipation/mitigation. This can be an input for the government to pay more attention to the Village/Kelurahan based on the clusters that have been carried out

Abstract

The aim of study is to determine the ability of kitolod leaves given through drinking water as a substitute for antibiotics in terms of growth performance, weight, and length of the small intestine of broiler. The method used is a Complete Random Design with 5 treatments of 4 tests and each test consists of 10 chickens. Details of the treatment: TO = 0% kitolod leaf extract; T1 = tetracycline antibiotics; T2 = 0.5% kitolod leaf extract; Q3: 3.0% kitolod leaf extract, and T4 = 4.5% kitolod leaf extract. The variables observed in this study are the Performance of broiler chickens (feed consumption, weight gain, and feed conversion) and the weight and length of the small intestine of broiler chickens. The results showed that there was no noticeable effect (P>0,05) of giving kitolod leaf extract on the growth performance, weight, and length of the gastrointestinal tract of broiler chickens. Pemberian extract of kitolod leaves up to 4.5% through drinking water has not able to increase the growth performance, weight, and length of the small intestine of broiler.   Key words: Small Intestine, Weight Gain, Feed Consumption, Feed Conversion.   ABSTRAK Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahuai kemampuan ekstrak daun kitolod yang diberikan melalui air minum sebagai pengganti antibiotik ditinjau dari peforma pertumbuhan, bobot dan panjang usus halus ayam broiler. Metode yang dipakai yaitu Rancangan Acak Lengkap, 5 perlakuan, 4 ulangan (10 ekor ayam pada tiap ulangan). Rincian dari perlakuan: TO = 0% ekstrak daun kitolod; T1 = antibiotik tetracyclin; T2 = 1,5% ekstrak daun kitolod; T3: 3,0% ekstrak daun kitolod; dan T4 = 4,5% ekstrak daun kitolod. Variabel yang diamati pada penelitian ialah: Performa ayam broiler (konsumsi pakan, PBB, dan FCR) dan bobot serta panjang usus halus ayam broiler. Hasil Tidak ada pengaruh yang nyata (P>0,05) pemberian ekstrak daun kitolod terhadap kinerja pertumbuhan, bobot dan panjang saluran pencernaan ayam broiler. Pemberian ekstrak daun kitolod sampai 4,5% melalui air minum belum mampu meningkatkan kinerja pertumbuhan, bobot dan panjang usus halus broiler.   Kata kunci: Usus Halus, Konsumsi Pakan, PBB, FCR

Abstract

This research aims to determine the optimum conditions for the synthesis of CaO nanoparticles using the coprecipitation method, determine the characteristics of the CaO nanoparticles synthesized, and determine the effect of the performance of CaO nanoparticles as an adsorbent for indigo carmine dyes. CaO nanoparticles were successfully synthesized using the coprecipitation method at the optimum conditions of 1 M NaOH concentration and formation temperature of 400+200℃ with the highest % yield reaching 74.56%. The successful formation of CaO nanoparticles was proven by the appearance of a 2-theta diffraction peak of 23.12°; 39.2°; 57.9°; and 67.2° which is identical to the lattice structure of CaO with hkl indices (200), (311), (422) and (600) and a crystal size of up to 4.96 nm. SEM images support the formation of CaO nanoparticles with an average particle size of 98.1 nm and a varying size distribution. The IR spectrum of the formation of CaO nanoparticles with the appearance of Ca-O peaks at wavelengths of 3640, 1400, 860, and 791 cm-1. The adsorption capacity of indigo carmine on CaO nanoparticles was greatest at an adsorbent dose of 10 mg, adsorbate concentration of 100 ppm and a contact time of 50 minutes. The most appropriate adsorption isotherm model and adsorption kinetics model was the Koble-Corrigan model and the pseudo second order model, respectively.

Abstract

This review article aims to systematically describe the synthesis methods, characterization, and performances of CS/PVA based hydrogel composites as drug delivery materials. The literature review was conducted through ScienceDirect and Google Scholar, where the article selection is based on Scopus index in the Q1 and Q2 categories within the past 5 years. The synthesis of CS/PVA hydrogel was performed using various methods, including crosslinking, freeze-thaw, and sol-gel. The synthesis methods of hydrogel composites included crosslinking, freeze-thaw, and sol-gel. Characterization of hydrogel composites was conducted using FTIR spectroscopy, SEM, and swelling ratio measurement. CS/PVA-based hydrogel composites as drug delivery materials have been successfully synthesized using crosslinker, freeze-thaw and sol-gel methods. FTIR spectra indicated that drug was successfully loaded into CS/PVA based hydrogel composite matrix, involving the hydrogen bonding as predominant mechanism of interaction between precursors and drug functionalities. The best swelling capacity was obtained in the CS/PVA/Tetracycline based hydrogel composites, up to 949%. The SEM images indicated the homogeneous morphological structure and surface of hydrogel composites. The CS/PVA/Tetracycline based hydrogel composites exhibited the largest cumulative drug release of 99.44%. The drugs loaded CS/PVA hydrogel composites are promising as a drug delivery material.

Abstract

Membrane processes are well-established methods in real water treatment, renowned for their compact size, exceptional treatment effectiveness, and substantial water permeation capacity. The emergence of nanomaterials has ushered in thrilling prospects and progress in the membrane technology. Silica nanoparticles (NPs SiO2), a high-purity amorphous silica powder, is a white fluffy material characterized by its small particle size, and it brings numerous benefits due to its distinctive attributes. With a large specific surface area, strong surface adsorption, considerable surface energy, high chemical purity, and excellent dispersion, it holds significant value in diverse areas like medicine, physics, chemistry, and biology. NPs-SiO2 can be categorized into hydrophilic and hydrophobic types, which offers difference application in the membrane technology. In this review, NPs-SiO2 contained membranes are specifically discussed. The main goal is to provide critical analysis on recent application of SiO2 in membrane technology. Apart from the introduction and conclusion, this review has three consecutive parts including The synthesis methods of NPs-SiO2 contained membrane including size of the NPs-SiO2 that is mostly used in membranes, the application of the hydrophobic and hydrophilic NPs-SiO2 in the membrane technology, and the future challenge of NPs-SiO2 used in membrane technology.

Abstract

Pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk melakukan pendampingan penulisan proposal penelitian bagi siswa Madrasah Aliyah (MA) dan anggota Musyawarah Guru Mata Pelajaran (MGMP) Kimia di kabupaten Tasikmalaya. Kegiatan pengabdian dilaksanakan dalam tiga tahapan, dengan tahap 1, 2, dan 3 berturut-turut dilakukan secara online-offline-online. Dari hasil workshop P2M ini diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa kegiatan pembinaan siswa MA dan guru-guru MGMP Kimia di wilayah Tasikmalaya terlaksana dengan baik pada setiap tahapnya. Kegiatan ini telah membantu siswa dalam menyusun draf proposal penelitian Olimpiade Penelitian Siswa Indonesia (OPSI). Dari kegiatan ini diperoleh 13 judul proposal yang dianggap layak untuk diikutsertakan pada kegiatan OPSI. Dari seluruh judul tersebut, terdapat 11 judul proposal yang berhasil lolos seleksi.This community service aims to provide an assistance in writing research proposals for the members of chemistry subject teacher deliberation (MGMP) and Madrasah Aliyah students in Tasikmalaya. The community service activities were carried out in three stages, with stages 1, 2, and 3 conducted online, offline, and online, respectively. Based on the results of this workshop, we concluded that the assistance program was executed effectively at every stage. This program helped students in preparing a draft research proposal for the Indonesian Student Research Olympiad (OPSI). Through this program, we generated 13 proposal titles deemed suitable for participation in OPSI. Out of these titles, 11 successfully passed the selection process.

Abstract

Guru kimia disyaratkan untuk memiliki 4 kompetensi yang mencakup kompetensi pedagogik, kepribadian, sosial dan profesional. Beberapa keterbatasan guru yang telah teridentifikasi diantaranya adalah masih lemahnya literasi dan kemampuan berfikir kritis, yang menyebabkan pembelajaran kimia lebih bersifat teoritis. Hal ini menjadi salah satu penyebab rendahnya minat dan motivasi siswa untuk mempelajari kimia. Untuk mengatasi hal ini, perlu dilakukan kegiatan penyegaran dan pendalaman materi bagi guru, sehingga diharapkan guru menjadi lebih percaya diri dalam menyajikan pembelajaran kimia yang menarik dan relevan dengan kehidupan sehari-hari. Workshop dilakukan dengan mengadopsi model pembelajaran Problem-based Learning (PBL) untuk memberikan pengalaman kepada guru dalam bertindak sebagai fasilitator untuk memberikan rangsangan kepada siswa dalam mempelajari kimia. Materi termokimia dipilih karena merupakan stimulus yang baik dalam menyelesaikan masalah pada fenomena sehari-hari melalui pengetahuan kimia. Melalui workshop ini, dihasilkan luaran berupa analisis kurikulum serta strategi pembelajaran materi termokimia yang siap diaplikasikan oleh guru.Chemistry teachers are required to have four competencies which include pedagogic, personality, social and professional competencies. Some of the teacher's limitations that have been identified are weak literacy and critical thinking skills, which causes chemistry learning to be more theoretical. This is one of the causes of the low interest and motivation of students to study chemistry. To overcome this, it is necessary to conduct workshop and deepen the material for teachers, so that teachers are expected to become more confident in presenting chemistry lessons that are interesting and relevant to everyday life. The workshop was carried out by adopting a Problem-based Learning (PBL) learning model to provide experience for teachers as facilitators that stimulates students in chemistry learning. Thermochemistry topic was chosen because it is a good stimulus in solving problems in everyday phenomena through chemical knowledge. Through this workshop, outputs are produced in the form of curriculum analysis and learning strategies for thermochemical materials that are ready to be applied by teachers.

Abstract

Perpustakaan merupakan salah satu sarana penunjang sekolah yang berperan penting dalam menyediakan bahan bacaan dan tambahan materi siswa yang dapat menunjang keberhasilan belajar siswa. Perpustakaan SMK Negeri 1 Puloampel Serang-Banten masih menggunakan sistem manual untuk pelaporan proses pendaftaran, pendataan anggota, pendataan buku, pendataan transaksi peminjaman dan pengembalian. Hal ini sangat tidak efektif dan tidak efisien mengingat bahwa sistem manual menghambat pemrosesan data pustakawan dan kinerja pembuatan laporan, dengan potensi risiko kehilangan kehilangan atau kerusakan data. Dengan adanya permasalahan tersebut maka yang dibutuhkan adalah sistem komputerisasi yang dapat mengelola data secara akurat, efektif dan efisien. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan efisiensi kerja perpustakaan dan membantu memecahkan masalah yang timbul pada perpustakaan SMK Negeri 1 Puloampel. Metode yang digunakan dalam pengembangan perangkat lunak menggunakan model waterfall artinya sistem bekerja secara berurutan atau linier. Metode pengumpulan data adalah observasi, wawancara dan studi pustaka, dengan menggunakan bahasa pemrograman PHP dan didukung dengan database MySQL. Sistem informasi perpustakaan diharapkan dapat meningkatkan kinerja pengelola perpustakaan dalam menavigasi proses pendaftaran, peminjaman dan pengembalian buku perpustakaan, serta penulisan laporan.
