Abstract

Abstract This research aims to test the effect of the anchored instruction model assisted by PhET on students' physics problem solving abilities in optical instruments at SMAN 1 Sukamulia. The type of research used is quasi experimental with a pretest-posttest control group design. The population is all students in class XI MIPA SMAN 1 Sukamulia, totaling 52 people. The research sample was taken using a saturated sampling technique and class XI MIPA 1 was selected as the experimental class and class XI MIPA 2 was selected as the control class. The experimental class was treated with an anchored instruction model assisted by PhET and the control class was treated with a direct learning model. The research instrument consists of a problem solving ability test (KPM) in the form of a description test of 10 questions taking into account validity, reliability, level of difficulty and differentiability of questions. The KPM pre-test and post-test data were tested for normality and homogeneity, then continued with hypothesis testing using the twin sample t-test. Hypothesis test results obtained that the calculated t value was greater than the t table, so Ha was accepted, so that the PhET-assisted anchored instruction learning model had an effect on ability. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji pengaruh model problem based learning berbantuan simulasi PhET terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah peserta didik pada materi elastisitas dan hukum Hooke. Jenis penelitian ini adalah kuasi eksperimen dengan desain penelitian nonequivalent control group design. Tempat penelitian di SMAN 1 Bayan, teknik pengambilan sampel purposive sampling. Sampel penelitian yang digunakan adalah kelas XI MIPA 2 sebagai kelas kontrol diberikan perlakuan pembelajaran konvensional dan XI MIPA 3 sebagai kelas eksperimen diberikan perlakuan model problem based learning berbantuan simulasi PhET. Instrumen tes yang digunakan berupa soal uraian dengan jumlah 10 soal yang telah diuji validitas, reliabilitas, daya pembeda dan tingkat kesukaran soal. Hasil analisis posttest didapatkan data terdistribusi normal dan homogen. Hasil analisis posttest didapatkan rata-rata posttest pada kelas eksperimen sebesar 77,00 dan kelas kontrol sebesar 67,91. Hasil uji N gain untuk kelas eksperimen diperoleh N gain skor sebesar 76,11% dengan kategori tinggi dan kelas kontrol sebesar 69,45% dengan kategori sedang. Hasil uji hipotesis diperoleh hasil yaitu  sebesar 3,30 dan  sebesar 2,014, didapatkan hasil bahwa lebih besar dari  sehingga  ditolak dan diterima. Kesimpulan penelitian ini adalah terdapat pengaruh model problem based learning berbantuan simulasi PhET terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah peserta didik.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meneliti pengaruh model pembelajaran berbasis masalah berbantuan media animasi terhadap hasil belajar peserta didik pada materi fluida dinamis. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah quasi eksperimen dengan desain nonequivalent control group design. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh peserta didik kelas XI MIPA SMAN 7 Mataram yang berjumlah 214 orang dan terbagi ke dalam enam kelas. Sampel penelitian ini adalah peserta didik kelas XI MIPA 6 yang berjumlah 29 orang sebagai kelas eksperimen dan peserta didik kelas XI MIPA 5 yang berjumlah 26 sebagai kelas kontrol yang dipilih dengan menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah tes tulis berupa soal pilihan ganda berjumlah 19 soal yang sudah lulus uji instrumen. Hasil dari penelitian menunjukkan behwa nilai rata-rata kelas XI MIPA 6 yaitu 70,0 dan nilai rata-rata kelas XI MIPA 5 yaitu 58,8. Hasil uji hipotesis menunjukkan kedua kelas homogen dan data terdistribusi normal. Menggunakan rumus t-test polled varians diperoleh  sebesar 2,2 dan  sebesar 2.0, sehingga  lebih besar dari , maka H0 ditolak dan Ha diterima, dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengeruh model pembeljaran berbasis masalah berbantuan media animasi terhadap hasil belajar peserta didik pada materi fluida dinamis.

Abstract

In the complex information era, critical thinking skills become very important for educators to be able to analyze and solve problems effectively. This research aims to improve the critical thinking skills of prospective physics teachers through the application of the Case Based Learning (CBL) model. The CBL model is implemented by exposing students to realistic and relevant case studies, which encourage them to carry out in-depth analysis of limited information. This research is Action Research. The research subjects consisted of 29 prospective physics teacher students who were taking professional education courses. The results of the research show that there has been an increase in students' critical thinking skills, with the average score in cycle 1 being 80.04 to 88.792 in cycle 2. This increase reflects students' ability to provide basic explanations, and further explanations, make conclusions, and plan appropriate actions. The more effective it is based on the problem analysis that has been carried out the better. These findings confirm that the CBL model is empirically proven to be used to improve students' critical thinking skills.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model problem based learning (PBL) terhadap keterampilan berpikir tingkat tinggi peserta didik pada materi momentum dan impuls kelas XI. Jenis penelitian ini adalah quasi eksperimental dengan desain penelitian non-equivalent control group design. Populasi dari penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas XI SMA Negeri 6 Mataram yang berjumlah empat  kelas. Sampel penelitian ini adalah peserta didik kelas XI.1 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan peserta didik kelas XI. 3 sebagai kelas kontrol yang dipilih dengan menggunakan teknik Purposive Sampling. Instrumen yang digunakan berupa esai sebanyak 9 soal keterampilan berpikir tingkat tinggi yang telah diuji validitas, reliabilitas, taraf kesukaran soal, serta daya beda soal. Hasil nilai rata-rata keterampilan berpikir tingkat tinggi posttest peserta didik diperoleh pada kelas eksperimen adalah 81,02 dan nilai rata-rata kelas kontrol adalah 73,07. Data posttest yang telah diuji normalitas dan dilanjut dengan uji hipotesis menggunakan uji-t  polled varians dengan taraf signifikan 5%. Hasil uji hipotesis nilai thitung  2,367 lebih besar dari ttabel 2,002  maka Ho ditolak dan Ha diterima. Berdasarkan kriteria nilai thitung lebih besar dari ttabel maka Ho ditolak dan Ha di terima. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh model problem-based learning terhadap keterampilan berpikir tingkat tinggi peserta didik Fase F pada materi momentum dan impuls di SMAN 6 Mataram.

Abstract

The application of the Project-Based Learning (PjBL) model in the Education Profession course aims to develop the competence of prospective high school physics teacher students. This study uses a case study design with 28 class IIA students in the even semester of 2024 in the Physics Education Study Program, FKIP, University of Mataram as subjects. Data were obtained through a learning outcome test in the form of 10 descriptive questions which were analyzed to see individual and classical completeness. Individual completeness is achieved if the student's score is above 75.0 and classical completeness is achieved if 85% of students get a score above 75.0. The results of the study showed an average score of 85.2 with 100% of students meeting the individual and classical completeness criteria. These findings indicate that PjBL is effective in improving the competence of prospective physics teacher students through scientific article review activities. In other words, student competencies have been successfully developed through the application of the PjBL model. The scientific article review project has developed critical and analytical thinking skills needed by students to support 21st century learning. The implementation of PjBL in this course is not only relevant to the vision of the Physics Education Study Program to produce professional graduates, but also supports the achievement of national education goals. This study recommends the implementation of PjBL in other courses and the development of further research related to its effectiveness in improving the innovative skills of prospective teacher students.

Abstract

The Teaching Practitioner Program is part of the Independent Learning-Independent Campus which is designed to bridge the gap between theory and practice in higher education. This article aims to analyze the contribution of the program in achieving the vision of Physics Education Study Program, University of Mataram, namely to develop physics education based on engineering of modern learning devices and media. This research was conducted in the even semester of 2023/2024 involving four collaborative courses with practitioners, namely School Administration and Management, Introduction to Core Physics, Thermodynamics, and Physics Learning Strategies. The research method used qualitative descriptive analysis based on final activity reports and interviews with students and lecturers. The results showed that the involvement of practitioners in teaching contributed significantly to students' understanding of the application of theory in the world of work, as well as the development of critical and adaptive thinking competencies. In addition, this program supports the mission of the Study Program in producing superior graduates who are able to develop modern learning media. It is hoped that the Teaching Practitioner Program will continue to be implemented as a strategic effort to improve the quality of physics education that is adaptive to the needs of the world of work.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the profile of student learning outcomes in the affective, cognitive, and psychomotor domains through the application of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model supported by three-dimensional media and interactive games in grades V and VI of SD Negeri 29 Ampenan. This type of research is a case study with a descriptive approach. Data collection was carried out using observation sheets to assess the affective domain, a final learning test to assess the cognitive domain, and a performance sheet to assess the psychomotor domain. The learning topics include 4 topics, namely Listening to folk tales., Pancasila in my life, Diseases affecting the musculoskeletal system, and Hearing because of sound. The learning implementation was carried out on July 23, 24, 25, and 26, 2024, respectively. The results showed that the application of PBL with three-dimensional media and interactive games had a positive effect on the three domains of learning outcomes. In the affective domain, students showed increased cooperation, responsibility, and discipline. The cognitive domain recorded a good understanding of the learning concept according to the topic. In the psychomotor domain, students were able to complete practice-based tasks with satisfactory results. These findings support the constructivism theory, which emphasizes the importance of hands-on and interactive experiential learning to enhance deep conceptual understanding. This study recommends the use of innovative media such as three-dimensional and interactive games in the PBL model to enhance students' learning outcomes holistically.

Abstract

Hasil belajar siswa kelas IV SD Negeri 2 Bruno masih belum optimal. Ketuntasan siswa dalam belajar masih perlu ditingkatkan karena masih terdapat siswa yang nilainya belum mencapai KKM sebesar 75. Tujuan kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa kelas IV SD Negeri 2 Bruno melalui penerapan model problem-based learning. Kegiatan dilaksanakan sebanyak 2 kali pertemuan, yakni tanggal 26 Agustus 2022 dan 13 September 2022. Pada pertemuan ke-1, materi yang dipelajari adalah Tema 4 (Berbagai Pekerjaan), Sub tema 3 (Pekerjaan Orang Tuaku), sedangkan pada pertemuan ke-2, materi yang dipelajari adalah Tema 5 (Pahlawanku), Sub tema 1 (Perjuangan Para Pahlawan). Peserta kegiatan meliputi seluruh siswa kelas IV sebanyak 24 orang. Nilai rata-rata siswa pada pertemuan ke-1 adalah sebesar 82,73 dengan ketuntasan belajar siswa sebesar 62,50 %, sedangkan pada pertemuan ke-2 adalah 87,08 dengan ketuntasan belajar siswa sebesar 91,67 %. Dengan demikian, kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat berupa penerapan model problem-based learning telah meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa kelas IV SD Negeri 2 Bruno, yakni pada Tema 4 (Berbagai Pekerjaan), Sub tema 3 (Pekerjaan Orang Tuaku) dan Tema 5 (Pahlawanku), Sub tema 1 (Perjuangan Para Pahlawan).

Abstract

Guru diharapkan dapat memfasilitasi peserta didik dalam pembelajaran untuk mengembangkan semua aspek tujuan pembelajaran. Tujuan kegiatan ini adalah untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar pada semua aspek yakni sikap, pengetahuan, dan keterampilan siswa kelas III SD Negeri 1 Bolali melalui model Problem Based-Learning (PBL). Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan sebanyak 2 kali pertemuan yakni tanggal 27 Agustus 2022 dan 10 September 2022 di kelas III SD Negeri 1 Bolali. Peserta kegiatan berjumlah 15 orang. Metode pelaksanaan yakni: 1) melakukan orientasi peserta didik pada sebuah permasalahan; 2) organisasi peserta didik untuk belajar; 3) melakukan pembimbingan kepada peserta didik; 4) melaksanakan pengembangan dan penyajian produk atau hasil karya peserta didik; 5) membuat analisis terhadap hasil pekerjaan peserta didik. Data tentang sikap dan keterampilan diperoleh melalui lembar pengamatan, sedangkan data tentang pengetahuan diperoleh melalui pemberian tes. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa pada pertemuan 1 terdapat 80% siswa memperoleh nilai pengetahuan di atas KKM, sedangkan pada pertemuan 2 meningkat menjadi 93%. Nilai rata-rata sikap pada pertemuan 1 sebesar 85, meningkat menjadi 90 pada pertemuan 2. Adapun nilai keterampilan siswa pada pertemuan 1 rata-rata sebesar 88, naik menjadi 93 pada pertemuan 2. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat peningkatan sikap, pengetahuan, dan keterampilan siswa kelas III SD Negeri 1 Bolali melalui penerapan model PBL.
