Abstract

The Pancasila Student Profile Strengthening Project (P5) is a project-based co-curricular activity designed to build student character based on Pancasila values. The exciting issue of implementing the independent curriculum lies in students' character and soft skills development dimensions, framed in a competency and character-strengthening project following the Pancasila student profile. In the context of implementation in driving schools, P5 is the spirit for the real implementation of the independent curriculum. This article empirically examines the implementation of P5 and its implications for increasing students' learning motivation at SMKN 4 Malang to obtain a critical analysis that can analyze the implementation process within the framework of implementing a quality independent curriculum. Based on a qualitative approach with a case study type, this research found that students at SMKN 4 Malang who internalized and applied Pancasila values had higher learning motivation. The research conclusion is that through P5 habituation, the dimensions of independence and cooperation are proven to be key factors that increase students' enthusiasm and initiative in the learning process. This is proven by the successful achievement of work projects through the regular "Vocational School 4 Malang Learning Work Exhibition" with several indicators: 1). Student collaboration between departments in creating interactive reading book projects; 2). Cohesiveness and independence in working on project outputs according to each assignment through class collaboration between departments. Thus, developing the Pancasila student profile is important for forming student character and increasing learning motivation and the overall quality of education.

Abstract

This research focuses on the prophetic leadership style practised in two higher education institutions, namely Nurul Jadid University Probolinggo and Muhammadiyah University Malang. This prophetic leadership style is a leadership style that can develop, encourage and create superior (Islamic) educational institutional units that have other prestigious educational qualities. This research uses a qualitative approach with a case study type of research to understand the leadership phenomenon in these two sites. Data were collected through interviews, participant observation, and documentaries. Next, the data was analyzed using Miles, Hubermann and Saldana interactive analysis. This research concludes that the leaders of the FAI UNUJA and FAI UMM institutions have a prophetic leadership style, which is demonstrated through their roles as quality control, political power, and political will (goodwill). From this leadership style, prophetic nuances emerge in institutional governance, which refers to 4 (four) pillars: theological-monotheistic, empirical-demonstrative, rational-philosophical, and theoretical stakes. The four pillars of prophetic management in the two research sites ultimately gave birth to a prophetic leadership style, which is essentially based on the three epistemological frameworks of Burhani, Bayani, and Irfani.

Abstract

This study aims to describe how technology-enhanced Project Based Learning (PjBL) can transform Islamic Religious Education (PAI) for early childhood learners. Using a qualitative approach involving participatory observations, in-depth interviews, and documentation, this research analyzes the implementation of PjBL at TK ABA 2 Cepu through the Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge (TPACK) framework and examines its contribution to strengthening Islamic values and early childhood spirituality. The findings show that the integration of simple technologies—such as educational videos, digital drawing tablets, and interactive quizzes—effectively concretizes abstract religious concepts, enhances children’s participation, and reinforces character development and Islamic digital literacy. PjBL creates learning experiences that are more active, collaborative, and meaningful, enabling Islamic values to be internalized through contextual projects aligned with children’s developmental stages. These results affirm that purposeful technological integration can serve as an effective spiritual and pedagogical medium in PAI instruction and offer both practical and theoretical implications for developing PAI learning models in early childhood education.
