Abstract

Background: Non-communicable diseases (NCDs) are a health problem that is currently the focus of global and national attention. One of the NCDs that can be found is Diabetes Mellitus (DM). The chronic metabolic disease called diabetes mellitus is caused by an insufficient amount of insulin produced by the pancreas or the body being unable to adequately use the insulin it produces. Diabetes cannot be cured, but blood sugar can be controlled to prevent complications. Physical exercise or exercise is the third and very important aspect in controlling diabetes. One physical exercise that can be done is brisk walking exercise for 30 minutes. Objective: To find out whether the implementation of brisk walking exercise can reduce blood glucose levels in diabetes mellitus sufferers in Wall Village, Tejakula District, Buleleng Regency in 2023. The type of research used is quasi-experimental with a nonequivalent control group design. The sampling technique used was non-probability sampling, namely purposive sampling, namely 30 respondents (15 intervention groups and 15 control groups). The Wilcoxon test results obtained ????-value 0.001 < alpha (0.05), which means there is a difference in blood glucose levels before and after brisk walking exercise in diabetes mellitus sufferers. Based on this research, it is recommended that brisk walking can be used as a non-pharmacological therapy to reduce blood glucose levels.

Abstract

The existence of Sebangau National Park in Central Kalimantan is a government effort to save and protect ecosystems that have started to deteriorate in the Sebagau area due to logging, poaching, and forest burning for land clearing conducted illegally by the community. In addition to these problems, the existence of Sebangau National Park is also to minimize the impact caused by global warming in the form of high air temperatures, which can trigger forest and peatland fires which occur almost every year in Palangka Raya City. Forest fires can damage ecosystems, releasing carbon and greenhouse gases into the atmosphere so that they can pollute water, soil and air. In addition, the smoke produced can also interfere with public health. The involvement of Pentahelix actors in the management of the Sebangau National Park tourism destination in Palangka Raya City is to make tourism at this destination sustainable. This research is designed as qualitative research supported by quantitative data, often referred to as a mixed method. Data collection was conducted through observation, semi-structured interviews, document studies, and questionnaires. The analysis method used in this study is Interpretative Structural Modeling (ISM) to map the role of Pentahelix with three elements consisting of: actor elements, need elements, and constraint elements. The ISM analysis results identified the main actors in the management of the Sebangau National Park tourism destination in Palangka Raya City as the Sebangau National Park Office in Palangka Raya City (government) and the Getek Maju Mandiri Group (community). The primary need in management is the Pentahelix collaboration and sustainable ecotourism. The main constraints in management are the incomplete availability of facilities and infrastructure and the lack of coordination between the government, private sector, and community.

Abstract

Law is a science, although law has its own characteristics because the object of study is quite broad. Legal science as a science also undergoes a process. As a science that is Sui Generis, it can be said that law has a fairly broad field of study consisting of three layers, namely; legal dogmatic layers, legal theory, and legal philosophy, and the three layers of legal science have benefits for the development of national law. This study has two problem formulations: What is the role of legal philosophy in the development of the national legal system and how is the implementation of legal philosophy in solving legal problems. The method used in this study is the normative legal methodology, which examines legal issues from the perspective of norms. The role of philosophy of law in the development of the national legal system is the basis for the level of abstraction of theoretical reflection whose level of abstractness is at the highest level and therefore permeates all forms of theoretical legal exploitation and practical legal exploitation. The implementation of legal philosophy in solving legal problems is to provide a basis for every legal decision which is used as a reference for decision makers to solve legal problems in order to achieve justice in society and legal certainty. An example is the event of a norm conflict between Article 24 A of the 1945 Constitution and Article 251 of Law Number 23 of 2014 concerning Regional Government

Abstract

The pottery craftsmanship of Banyumulek, a cultural heritage of the Lombok community, has undergone a transformation over time. The embodiment of cultural concepts, ideas, and forms has transitioned from functional to aesthetic values, particularly due to the influence of tourism development in Lombok. This research employs a qualitative descriptive method to explore innovations in the form and function of Banyumulek pottery. Data was collected through observation, interviews, and documentation, focusing on various forms and types of pottery in Lombok. Key informants included business owners and pottery craftsmen in the Kediri District, West Lombok. Findings indicate a change in the pottery-making process from traditional to semi-modern. The forms of pottery have evolved from simple to more decorative, and their function has shifted from practical to aesthetic. This innovation is part of a continuous cultural heritage and plays a crucial role in Lombok’s tourism industry. Changes and innovations in Banyumulek pottery reflect economic and tourism growth and affirm the values of the social and cultural identity of the local community. This research highlights the importance of preserving cultural heritage and the adaptive nature of the craft industry in the face of changing times.

Abstract

Meta-figurative is a physical aesthetic discourse that reaches beyond the physical beauty of ideal bodies (skeletal construction, muscles, and skins). The interpretation approaches used new criticism, according to Culler (2001), that goal to identify what the works repress or illuminate by concealing and portraying society and social attitudes. Meta-figurative encompasses exploration pertaining to the interchangeable position and condition between tensions and pleasures of bodies in the social space. Fifteen Indonesian contemporary artists are: Mangu Putra, Entang Wiharso, Chusin Setiadikara, Agus Suwage, FX Harsono, Ivan Sagito, Heri Dono, Ronald Manulang, Nyoman Masriadi, Nyoman Erawan, Putu Sutawijaya, Laksmi Sitaresmi, Made Djirna, Ugo Untoro, and Bob Sick Yuditha have been conducting creative efforts and questioning about matters of the bodies’ position in the public space, conducting current interpretation through personal artistic and aesthetical language. There are five representation tendencies of meta-figurative paintings thematically, artistic images, and visual meanings: marginalized bodies, fictionalized bodies, bodies of expression, autobiographical bodies, and beyond famous portraits. Indonesian contemporary artists have made figurative subjects in their paintings to make statements, self-reflections, and moral voices of their country’s socio-political conditions, which are educational values of Indonesian Contemporary Paintings in social meaning. Poverty, corruption, and anti-democracy practices still part of Indonesian daily realities are area protests for contemporary artists.
