Abstract

The existence of mobile devices and advances in technology has made mobile learning one of the learning trends in schools ranging from elementary to high school and even college in Indonesia. This content analysis research aims to systematically analyze trends in the development of mobile learning in Indonesia based on analysis of articles found in international and national journals. Based on the search results obtained 61 articles. Article analysis uses the Paper Classification Form (PCF) instrument which has been tested for validity and reliability. Based on the results of the analysis, the most widely used research method for mobile learning is Quasi-Experiment (44%) by testing the results of Research and Development (82%) of mobile learning products. Most mobile learning is for high school students (57%). Android Mobile Learning Apps (52%) are the most widely used mobile learning products in research. Learning outcomes (19%) are the most dominant bond variables related to mobile learning. This result can be used as a reference for research on the development of mobile learning media using the Android platform in science learning in schools.

Abstract

Critical thinking skills are 21st century skills that can be improved through the use of appropriate learning models and supported by the prior knowledge that students already have. One of the learning models that can improve critical thinking skills is the SET learning model through the Science E-Module. The purpose of this study was to show the effectiveness of the application of SETS-based e-modules in Natural Science (IPA) subjects with the topic of waves and sound to improve students' critical thinking skills. This study used a quantitative descriptive design with one-group pretest-posttest technique. The sample consisted of 29 students from class VIII.C who were selected through cluster sampling. Data were analyzed using the normalized N-gain method and paired sample t-test. The results showed that the average N-gain of students' critical thinking skills after implementing learning through SETS-based science e-modules on wave and sound material was 0.4, including in the medium category. The average critical thinking skills of students after the intervention (72) were significantly higher than before the intervention (51). In addition, students' response to the SETS-based science e-module on wave and sound material resulted in a score of 90.4% which showed very good criteria. Therefore, it can be concluded that the implementation of SETS-based science on wave and sound materials can improve students' critical thinking skills.

Abstract

This research aims to evaluate the effectiveness of using discovery-based virtual laboratories in enhancing students' scientific attitudes towards the topic of the photoelectric effect. The method employed a quasi-experimental design involving 12th-grade students at SMAN 2 Yogyakarta. The research design employed is pretest-posttest, nonequivalent multiple-group design. Subject selection was conducted through purposive sampling, resulting in experimental and control classes. The research subjects were from classes 12 MIPA 4 and 12 MIPA 5. Data were collected through questionnaires and observations of scientific attitudes. Observations during the learning process were conducted by three observers. The results of the study showed an improvement in the understanding of physics concepts and the development of scientific attitudes in the experimental group, with an average score of 89.36. The improvement in the experimental group was higher than that in the control group. These findings indicate that virtual laboratories based on discovery learning are effective in enhancing students' scientific attitudes. This finding highlights the potential of virtual laboratories in fostering scientific attitudes and assisting students in understanding modern physics, thereby stimulating their interest in the subject. The positive implications for physics education indicate that this approach can address students' challenges in learning physics conventionally

Abstract

Thinking styles and metacognition are related as they both have the same space in assessing one’s own abilities. Metacognition and thinking styles have an important role in unlocking the potential of physics problem solving. The objective of this study is to investigate the relationship between metacognition, thinking styles (particularly those proposed by Gregorc), and physics problem solving. The study involved a cohort of 364 students who were pursuing a physics degree at Tadulako University. The results indicated that metacognition behavior exhibited in the process of solving physics problems was classified as high category. The most dominant thinking style was abstract sequential, while the least was concrete random. The data analysis showed a significant difference in metacognition behavior between groups categorized by thinking style. Specifically, the concrete sequential (SK) group exhibited a significant difference with the abstract random (AA) group. These results provide further understanding of how metacognition and thinking styles play a role in physics problem solving. This study contributes significantly to comprehending the connection between metacognition, thinking styles, and the successful resolution of physics problems. The insights gained provide prospects for formulating more efficient physics learning methods that will ameliorate students' aptitude in tackling physics problems.

Abstract

Evaluation of suitability evaluation of physics education microteachig class to KKNI in Sunan Kalijaga Islamic University was done by stake model with quantitave descriptive analysis. Based on data analysis indicate that (1) the suitability of planning class to the achievement of KKNI Level 6 phisics education at 45.45% ( enough categorized); (2) the suitability of the implementation of class held on the achievement KKNI Level 6 physics education viewed through the achievement of the student's ability to KKNI Level 6 at 75.34% (very well categorized) and the role of the lecturer to the achievement of the students ability to KKNI Level 6 amounting to 55.01% (enough categorized); and (3) the conformity assessment of the achievement of the lecturers do KKNI Level 6 physical education by 72.73% (well categorized).

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui ada tidaknya perbedaan yang signifikan antara pendekatan SETS dan CTL terhadap keterampilan proses siswa SMP pada pembelajaran IPA.Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah quasi experiment dengan desain nonequivalent comparison-group design. Populasi penelitian diambil dari siswa kelas VIII SMP N 1 Sewon sebanyak 215 siswa. Teknik pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan cara cluster random sampling. Kelas VIII B sebagai kelas eksperimen 1 (Science Environment Technology and Society) dan kelas VIII G sebagai kelas eksperimen 2 (Contextual Teaching and Learning). Instrumen yang digunakan adalah soal pretest, soal posttest dan lembar observasi. Untuk melihat perbedaan keterampilan proses siswa setelah diberi perlakuan digunakan uji Mann Whitney U Test karena pada saat uji prasyarat ada prasyarat yang tidak terpenuhi yaitu data tidak terdistribusi normal. Uji Mann Whitney U Test keterampilan proses siswa menunjukkan nilai Asymp. Sig. (2-tailed) sebesar 0,000 dengan taraf signifikasi 5%, sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan keterampilan proses yang signifikan antara kelas yang menggunakan pendekatan SETS dengan kelas yang menggunakan pendekatan CTL. Kata kunci: Pendekatan SETS, Pendekatan CTL, Keterampilan Proses Siswa

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan perangkat pembelajaran IPA dengan model keterpaduan webbed yang layak berdasarkan penilaian validator, dan mengetahui peningkatan kemampuan kognitif, sikap peduli lingkungan, dan keterampilan generik peserta didik setelah menggunakan perangkat pembelajaran IPA model webbed yang dikembangkan. Desain penelitian ini menggunakan model Research and Development (RD) dengan model pengembangan 4D yang meliputi empat tahap yakni define, design, develop, disseminate. Instrumen yang digunakan meliputi instrumen validasi perangkat pembelajaran IPA model webbed, lembar penilaian tes kemampuan kognitif, lembar observasi sikap peduli lingkungan, lembar penilaian sikap peduli lingkungan, lembar observasi keterampilan generik, lembar penilaian keterampilan generik, dan angket respon peserta didik terhadap LKPD IPA model webbed. Teknik analisis data secara kualitatif berupa komentar saran dari validator dan analisis secara kuantitatif berupa skor validasi, skor penilaian kemampuan kognitif, penilaian sikap peduli lingkungan, serta penilaian keterampilan generik. Hasil penelitian ini adalah dihasilkannya perangkat pembelajaran IPA model webbed berupa silabus, RPP, dan bahan ajar LKPD yang dinyatakan layak oleh validator dengan kategori sangat baik (A), perangkat pembelajaran IPA yang dikembangkan mampu meningkatkan kemampuan kognitif, sikap peduli lingkungan, dan keterampilan generik secara signifikan yang dilihat dari uji signifikasi U Mann-Whitney. Nilai signifikasi kemampuan kognitif sebesar 0.000, sikap peduli lingkungan sebesar 0.000, dan keterampilan generik sebesar dan 0.000.Kata Kunci: perangkat pembelajaran, webbed, kemampuan kognitif, sikap peduli lingkungan, keterampilan generikThis aims of this research to produce science learning devices with webbed integration model based on validator assessment, and know the improvement of cognitive ability, environmental care attitude, and generic skills of learners after using science learning devices webbed model of developed. The design of this research is using Research and Development (R D) model with 4D development model which includes four stages namely define, design, develop, disseminate. Instruments used include instrument validation science learning devices webbed model, cognitive ability test sheet, environmental care attitude observation sheet, environmental care attitude sheet, generic skill observation sheet, generic skills assessment sheet, and student response questionnaire to LKPD webbed model. Qualitative data analysis techniques include comments suggestions from validators and quantitative analysis in the form of validation scores, cognitive ability assessment scores, environmental care attitude assessments, and generic skills assessments. The result of this research is the result of science learning devices webbed model in the form of syllabus, RPP, and LKPD teaching material which is declared feasible by validator with very good category (A), science learning devices developed able to improve cognitive capability, environmental care attitude and generic skills in Significant from the Mann-Whitney significance test. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kelayakan modul IPA Berbasis Sains Teknologi Masyarakat Lingkungan (STML) pada tema “Briket Pelepah Salak Pondoh” yang telah dikembangkan. Tujuan lainnya adalah untuk mengetahui peningkatan keterampilan proses siswa setelah menggunakan modul hasil pengembangan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metodeResearch and Development (RD). Penelitian ini dilakukan di SMP N 1 Tempel dengan sasaran mata pelajaran IPA. Instrumen yang digunakan pada penelitian ini meliputi: lembar validasi Modul, soal pretest dan postest, lembar observasi keterampilan proses siswa, angket respon siswa terhadap modul, serta lembar keterlaksanaan pembelajaran dengan pendekatan STML. Sedangkan teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis deskriptif untuk tujuan mengetahui kelayakan modul berdasarkan saran dan skor penilaian dari validator, gain score peningkatan keterampilan proses siswa, peningkatan persentase keterampilan proses siswa tiap pertemuan, respon siswa terhadap modul berdasarkan saran, skor penilaian angket respon, serta persentase keterlaksanaan pembelajaran dengan pendekatan STML. Hasil penelitian dan pengembangan ini menunjukkan bahwa modul IPA hasil pengembangan layak digunakan dalam pembelajaran dengan kategori sangat baik. Selain itu, modul hasil pengembangan ini juga dapat meningkatkan keterampilan proses siswa dengan perolehan gain score dalam kategori peningkatan sedang.  Selanjutnya, berdasarkan hasil observasi diperoleh peningkatan hasil keterampilan proses dari kategori cukup menjadi kategori baik. Kata kunci: Modul IPA, Sains Teknologi Masyarakat Lingkungan (STML), Keterampilan Proses, siswa SMP

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penerapan LKPD IPA berbasis siklus belajar Lawson terhadap sikap ingin tahu dan hasil belajar kognitif peserta didik.Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian quasy eksperiment dengan non-equivalent pretest-posttest control group design. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh kelas VIII SMP N 1 Sewon tahun ajaran 2017/2018. Sampel penelitian diperoleh metode cluster random sampling. Kelas VIII F merupakan kelas eksperimen, melaksanakan pembelajaran menggunakan LKPD berbasis siklus belajar Lawson sedangkan kelas VIII G sebagai kelas kontrol menggunakan LKS Sekolah. Instrumen yang digunakan untuk mengukur sikap ingin tahu peserta didik yaitu angket dan lembar observasi untuk mengamati sikap ingin tahu. Tes digunakan untuk mengukur hasil belajar kognitif peserta didik. Keterlaksanaan pembelajaran diukur dengan lembar observasi keterlaksanaan pembelajaran. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah independent t-test untuk mengetahui ada tidaknya perbedaan kemampuan kognitif awal peserta didik, paired t-test untuk mengetahui pengaruh LKPD terhadap kemampuan kognitif sebelum dan sesudah diberikan perlakuan dan uji manova untuk mengetahui pengaruh LKPD terhadap sikap ingin tahu dan hasil belajar kognitif peserta didik serta uji effect size untuk mengetahui besarnya pengaruh.Hasil penelitian terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan penerapan LKPD IPA berbasis siklus belajar Lawson terhadap sikap ingin tahu dan hasil belajar kognitif peserta didik.Kata kunci: Kognitif, LKPD, Siklus Belajar Lawson, Sikap Ingin Tahu

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui: (1) pengaruh model pembelajaran IPA berbasis problem based learning terhadap kemampuan memecahkan masalah peserta didik SMP; (2) pengaruh model pembelajaran IPA berbasis problem based learning terhadap pencapaian KKM peserta didik SMP. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian quasy experiment dengan desain penelitian pretest-posttest nonequivalent control group design. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa (1) ada pengaruh model pembelajaran IPA berbasis problem based learning terhadap kemampuan memecahkan masalah peserta didik dengan taraf signifikan 0,000 dan diperoleh nilai pengaruh sebesar 0,8 yang termasuk dalam kategori tinggi ; (2) ada pengaruh model pembelajaran IPA berbasis problem based learning terhadap pencapaian KKM peserta didik dengan taraf signifikan 0,000 dan diperoleh nilai pengaruh sebesar 0,6 yang termasuk dalam kategori sedang.Kata kunci: problem based learning, kemampuan memecahkan masalah, pencapaian KKMThe purpose of this research is to determine of: (1) problem based learning’s influence towards problem-solving skills of students VII grade in SMP, and (2) problem based learning’s influence toward KKM achievement of students VII grade in SMP.
