Abstract

Kerontokan buah tergantung pada kultivar, kandungan hormon, hara dan lingkungan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mengkaji pola kerontokan dan perubahan konsentrasi hormon yang terjadi dari beberapa kultivar pamelo berbiji dan tidak berbiji. Desain percobaan yang digunakan adalah rancangan acak lengkap dengan empat perlakuan, yaitu Adas Duku dan Bali Merah 1 (pamelo berbiji) serta Bali Merah 2 dan Jawa 1 (pamelo tidak berbiji). Variabel pengamatan terdiri atas jumlah buah rontok, initial dan final set, kandungan gula total, konsentrasi GA3, IAA dan asam absisat (ABA) buah. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa kedua kelompok (pamelo berbiji dan tidak berbiji) mengalami kerontokan buah pada awal perkembangan buah, namun kerontokan buah saat fase pematangan buah hanya pada kedua kultivar pamelo tidak berbiji. Initial set pamelo berbiji (28.76%) lebih tinggi dibandingkan pamelo tidak berbiji (21.75%). Final set pada pamelo tidak berbiji menunjukkan bahwa Bali Merah 2 (12.95%) lebih tinggi dibandingkan Jawa 1 (9.20%). Buah yang akan rontok dari pamelo berbiji dan tidak berbiji memiliki kandungan gula total <0.30%, sedangkan pada buah yang tidak rontok >0.30%. Konsentrasi GA3 dan IAA buah pamelo berbiji dan tidak berbiji mengalami peningkatan selama awal perkembangan buah (1 sampai 4 minggu setelah antesis = MSA), sedangkan konsentrasi ABA mengalami penurunan pada 3 MSA.

Abstract

Taksasi produksi sebelum panen kelapa sawit diperlukan untuk menentukan kebutuhan tenaga kerja dan fasilitas yang berkaitan dengan kegiatan panen. Penelitian dilaksanakan di Kebun Aek Nabara, Sumatera Utara yang dimulai dari bulan Januari sampai Mei 2021. Kegiatan bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi ketepatan taksasi terhadap hasil nyata produksi tandan buah segar. Taksasi produksi dipengruhi oleh populasi tanaman per ha, angka kerapatan panen, dan bobot janjang rata-rata. Hasil taksasi produksi menunjukkan nilai sebesar 27.085 kg dan realisasi produksi sebesar 27.577 kg dengan persentasi ketepatan sebesar 95%. Nilai taksasi yang akurat dipengaruhi oleh ketepatan dalam pengamatan kerapatan panen. Kehilangan hasil dalam kegiatan pemanenan masih dialami oleh perusahaan, yaitu sebesar 1.57 – 5.23 bondolan per pohon dan masih berada di bawah standar ketentuan perusahaan. Abstract

Teh merupakan salah satu komoditas perkebunan yang berperan penting dalam perekonomian Indonesia sebagai sumber devisa dari kegiatan ekspor. Pemetikan merupakan kegiatan pemanenan hasil dari tanaman teh yang dapat mempengaruhi kualitas dan kuantitas pucuk. Penelitian bertujuan mempelajari dan menganalisis pengelolaan pemetikan tanaman teh yang dilakukan pekerja dibanding standar yang dimiliki perusahaan. Penelitian dilaksanakan di Wonosobo, Jawa Tengah pada bulan Januari – Maret 2020. Percobaan disusun menggunakan uji t berpasangan dengan membandingkan umur tanaman terhadap mutu hasil petik tanaman teh. Hasil pengamatan menunjukan bahwa tinggi bidang petik, diameter bidang petik, tinggi jendangan, gilir petik, analisis pucuk, dan kapasitas pemetik telah memenuhi standar yang ditetapkan. Hasil analisis petik menunjukan perlu adanya peningkatan dalam teknik pemetikan di lapangan agar kualitas pucuk memenuhi standar yang ditetapkan. Kapasitas pemetik tidak dipengaruhi oleh usia dan lama kerja pemetik. Kata kunci: daun pemeliharaan, gilir petik, kapasitas pemetik

Abstract

Fertilizer requirements for each rice variety are different from other varieties. Research on the optimum dosage of fertilization on new superior varieties is needed to obtain optimum growth and yield. This study aims to determine the optimum dosage of N, P, and K fertilizer for the growth and productivity of lowland rice of the Bioemas Agritan variety. The research was conducted at Banten Assessment Institute for Agricultural Technology, from February 2022 to June 2022 on soils with very low C-organic and total N conditions. The study consisted of three parallel experiments, namely the N, and P, K fertilization experiment using a single factor randomized  complete block design which was repeated three times. Fertilizer dosages consist of five levels, namely 0, 50, 100, 150, and 200% of the reference dosage. Determination of the optimum dosage based on the maximum value of the relative yield quadratic equation. The optimum fertilizer dosage for the lowland rice variety Bioemas Agritan is 140,93% of the reference dosage or equivalent to 422,79 kg ha-1 urea, while the optimum dosage of P2O5 and K2O fertilizer cannot be determined.ABSTRAK Kebutuhan pupuk setiap varietas padi berbeda antara varietas satu dengan varietas lainnya. Penelitian dosis optimum pemupukan pada varietas unggul baru diperlukan untuk mendapatkan pertumbuhan dan hasil yang optimum. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menentukan dosis optimum pupuk N, P, K untuk pertumbuhan dan produktivitas padi sawah varietas Bioemas Agritan. Penelitian dilaksanakan di BPTP Banten, pada bulan Februari 2022 sampai dengan Juni 2022 pada tanah dengan kondisi C-organik dan N total sangat rendah. Penelitian terdiri atas tiga percobaan paralel yaitu percobaan pemupukan N, P, K menggunakan rancangan kelompok lengkap teracak faktor tunggal yang diulang sebanyak tiga kali. Dosis pupuk terdiri atas lima taraf yaitu 0, 50, 100, 150, dan 200 % dari dosis acuan. Penentuan dosis optimum berdasarkan nilai maksimum dari persamaan kuadratik hasil relatif. Dosis pupuk optimum untuk padi sawah varietas Bioemas Agritan adalah 140,93% dari dosis acuan atau setara dengan 422,79 kg ha-1 urea, sedangkan dosis optimum pupuk P2O5 dan K2Otidak dapat ditentukan.

Abstract

Mining activities have a positive impact that can generate income for the state, but the activities also cause negative impacts in the form of soil damage, vegetation and animal losses to disrupt the ecosystems. Therefore, it is necessary to carry out a reclamation with revegetation using local plant species. PT Berau Coal has conducted revegetation using a local sugar palm plant (Arenga pinnata). The success of sugar palm plant growth in post-mining reclamation land is influenced by several factors, one of it is the symbiosis of the arbuscula mycorrhizal fungi (AMF) with the sugar palm planted by PT Berau Coal. The purpose of this study was to determine the diversity of indigenous spores in the arenga rhizosphere and root colonization of sugar palm plants. Identification of the AMF diversity was carried out by observing the soil taken from the palm rhizosphere with a depth of 0-20 cm and 20-40 cm. Isolation of spores using the wet pouring technique method with centrifuges and AMF spores were identified using the INVAM methods. The observation of AMF colonization on plant roots was carried out through the root staining technique with the Clapp modification method. The results showed that the AMF spores were found in 3 AMF genera at the observation site, namely genus Glomus (15 sp), Acaulospora (3 sp), and Gigaspora (1 sp). The highest spore abundance is genus Glomus sp at a soil depth of 0-20 cm. The AMF structures found colonizing the roots of sugar palm plants are hyphae, vesicles, and spores.

This research uses explanatory survey method by analyzing the effect of work motivation and work discipline as independent variable and performance of employee Regional Public Service Institution of HM. Ryacudu Hospital North Lampung as the dependent variables. The research population is 575 employees, while the sample is 10% that is 58 people. Data collection techniques used, questionnaires, interviews, observation and documentation. The analytical technique used to analyze data is the statistic formula of Multiple Linear Regression. The results showed that: (1) Work motivation positively and significantly affect the performance of employees of the Regional Public Service Institution of HM. Ryacudu Hospital North Lampung. (2) Work discipline has a positive and significant influence on the performance of employees of the Regional Public Service Institution of HM. Ryacudu Hospital North Lampung. Abstract

The impact of this inadequate management of funds resulted in the absence of significant benefits in promoting the welfare of the community. In a report prepared by (Secretary General and BK DPR RI, 2020) it is explained that based on the mandate of Law No.21 of 2001 concerning Special Autonomy for Papua Province paragraph (3), the special autonomy fund is intended to finance education and health. Therefore, in remembrance of the law, the ideals of giving special autonomy are to reduce inequality, improve the standard of living, and the welfare of the people, especially in the Provinces of Papua and West Papua. However, these ideals do not seem to be running optimally, one of which is due to problems in the Otsus funding flow. Therefore, this paper is aimed at seeing how the Papua Special Autonomy policy program, especially in West Papua, is in the welfare of the community and what obstacles are encountered in terms of accountability. In this paper, the authors conducted research using qualitative methods with the stages: data collection, data analysis and report writing. For data collection, the authors use library research (library research). The existing data shows that even though there is a trend of increasing HDI in Papua and West Papua Provinces, the increase in HDI in these two provinces still occupies the lowest position among 34 Provinces throughout Indonesia. In the period of 20 years, the implementation of Special Autonomy still leaves problems, especially in the issue of special autonomy fund management, so that the impact of the ineffectiveness of the use of these funds has an impact on the slow growth of community welfare. Apart from that, the existence of political factors that often become obstacles to the management of these funds also presents a challenge in itself. This is based on the fact that the application of Otusus in previous years still experienced the same problems. Therefore, in the future we need a policy that can firmly regulate the performance audit of Otsus funds in Papua and West Papua. This is because one of the major problems that hinders the effective use of Otsus is about its accountability.

Abstract

This study discusses the performance of Ethaline Glycol/water (EG/H2O) fluids at a volume ratio of 40/60. EG/H2O fluids are widely used as basic fluids in cooling and heating system applications. The discussion of EG/H2O fluid performance is focused on the analysis of the heat transfer coefficient and pressure drop. The study used an experimental method using a suction test made of pure copper with an inner diameter, outer diameter and length of 16 mm, 19 mm and 1500 mm respectively. The EG/H2O volume ratio at 40/60 was selected as the input parameter. Other input parameters are variations in the fluid flow rate which are regulated using a control valve at fluid flow rates of 4, 6, 8, 10.12, 14.16 and 18 liters/minute. A 2-unit tubular heater with a total capacity of 2000 W was installed on the sides of the copper pipes. A voltage regulator with a capacity of 3000 W is used to regulate the electric power by regulating the supplied voltage. Ampere pliers are used to measure amperage at the setting used. The experimental results show that the performance of the EG/H2O fluid on the heat transfer coefficient increases as the fluid flow rate increases. The highest heat transfer coefficient rate was obtained at a fluid flow rate of 18 L/minute, while the lowest value was obtained at a fluid flow rate of 4 L/minute. Pressure drops fluctuations occur as the fluid flow rate increases. Even though there is a fluctuating pressure drop, this condition does not significantly affect the friction factor, because the fluid flow characteristics occur in a turbulent manner

Abstract

The direct seeding of rice (DSR) system has been widely practiced in various Asian countries because it is considered more efficient in water and labor and provides better benefits than transplanting systems. However, improvements in the management of this system practice are still needed, especially in cropping patterns and the use of appropriate varieties. This study examines the physiological characteristics, yield components, and yields of rice genotypes in transplanting and DSR systems. This research was carried out in the field with transplanting and DSR cultivation systems (drill and broadcast sowing) and used four superior lines and one national variety. A total of 25 treatment combinations were designed using a split-plot randomized complete block design (Split plot-RCBD) with three replications for each treatment. The results showed that rice grown with DSR had no different level of greenery and photosynthesis rate than rice in transplanting cultivation, but produced lower panicle length, the number of grains per panicle, the number of filled grains, and faster flowering time. Genotype IPB193-F-17-2-3 produced the highest productivity in wet DSR (drill and broadcast sowing) and dry DSR (drill sowing). Genotype IPB193-F-38-2-1 had the highest productivity in transplanting techniques and dry DSR (broadcast method). The productivity of the Ciherang variety in the DSR system (drill method) was not different from the transplanting system. This finding indicates that the direct seeding system using the drill method is promising for further development.

Abstract

The agricultural technology transfer and mentoring program in Pangelak Village, South Kalimantan, aims to improve the efficiency and productivity of paddy rice cultivation through the application of appropriate technology and environmentally friendly cultivation practices. This activity involved 4 active IPB students, 1 person as project manager, 1 person as supervisor, and 4 IPB lecturers. The mentoring implementation method consists of preparation, program implementation, and evaluation. The program implementation stage begins with preparation, which includes field surveys and FGDs to understand the needs and conditions of the community. The next stage is assistance and technology transfer, which includes assistance in paddy rice cultivation, bioimmunization of seeds, and making organic plant ingredients as alternative fertilizers. The evaluation stage includes conducting interviews and discussions with farmers after the mentoring and technology transfer activities. The creation of IPB 3S demonstration plots was carried out in the context of innovation adoption through training and direct practice to farmers on more efficient cultivation techniques and the use of organic fertilizers. The mentoring program can increase knowledge and skills on effective and efficient cultivation techniques to farmers, introduce the latest technologies and innovations in rice cultivation, increase the productivity of paddy rice and the welfare of farmers.
