Abstract

Indonesia is a country located at the confluence of the Indo-Australian and Eurasian plates, which collide with each other, one of which is off the west coast of the island of Sumatra. This situation carries a significant risk of triggering a tsunami disaster. To minimize these risks, it is necessary to provide disaster awareness to all groups, especially students. This study aims to produce an e-booklet on integrated wave material for tsunami disaster mitigation on the outermost islands of Sumatra's west coast. The study employs a research and development methodology. The research instruments were questionnaires, interview guides, validation sheets, and questions. We conducted descriptive, quantitative, and qualitative data analysis. The research results led to the production of an integrated e-booklet for tsunami disaster mitigation, tailored to the region's potential in mitigation efforts. The level of disaster preparedness after using the e-booklet is included in the high preparedness category. The relationship between knowledge and level of disaster preparedness is linear. So that this e-booklet can be used as teaching material to provide disaster preparedness on the outermost islands of the west coast of Sumatra.

Abstract

Kebiul merupakan tumbuhan obat Masyarakat suku Serawai Bengkulu. Oleh masyarakat biji Kebiul digunakan  sebagai obat malaria. Biji Kebiul telah diteliti mampu menghambat perkembangan Plasmodium berghei pada Mencit. Tujuan kegiatan ini adalah sosialisasi hasil penelitian melalui Pelatihan Pemanfaatan Tumbuhan Sumber Daya Lokal sebagai Obat Malaria yang Berpotensi sebagai Obat Covid-19 pada Guru  IPA  di Kabupaten Kaur. Pada awal kasus pandemic covid 19  beberapa peneliti melaporkan bahwa klorokuin dapat digunakan sebagai obat Covid-19, Berdasarkan uji praklinik biji Kebiul, mampu menghambat  perkembangan plasmodium malaria secara lebih baik dibandingkan dengan klorokuin. Melalui gambaran penelitian ini dimungkinkan biji Kebiul mempunyai potensi digunakan sebagai obat Covid-19. Pelatihan ini juga dimaksudkan sebagai upaya membangun sikap konservasi (pemanfaatan sumberdaya alam secara bijaksana) tentang tumbuhan obat di lingkungan sekolah. Pelatihan  diikuti oleh 40 guru IPA, hasil pelatihan berjalan baik, peserta mengikuti kegiatan secara aktif, hasil evaluasi pemahaman materi juga baik, dengan kriteria nilai sangat bagus.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the diversity of bryophyta on the riverside Susup as learning material in the form of Learning Unit Books (BUP). The research method used is Research and Development which is limited to needs analysis and BUP design. Moss plant diversity samples were obtained using a purposive sampling technique. Found 10 families, 13 types of species and 80 total bryophyta colonies on the banks of the river. The diversity index (H') ranges from 1.474 - 1.911 which includes the medium category, the evenness index (E) ranges from 0.822 - 0.940 which includes the high category and the dominance index (C) ranges from 0.1550 - 0.3056 which includes the low category. These findings are then used as teaching materials for designing BUP for SMP.

Abstract

This research was carried out in September-October 2023 at the Bengkulu University ex-situ turtle conservation area, aiming to provide comprehensive knowledge about roaming patterns, active times, and movement areas in artificial habitats so that they can be used to develop effective conservation strategies for maintaining the preservation of C. amboinensis in the ex-situ turtle conservation area, Bengkulu University. This study observed 11 individual turtles (4 females and 7 males). This research uses literature study methods and direct observations in the field. The results obtained showed that C. amboinensis had: high mobility because all artificial areas were explored. The active time of C. amboinensis is in the morning and evening. The range of movement of males is greater than that of females. Mounting activity occurs spontaneously or directly when male C. amboinensis and female C. amboinensis meet in a certain area. The roaming pattern of C. amboinensis occurs randomly and the range of movement between male and female C. amboinensis is very different.

Abstract

The research objective focuses on testing the quality of Durian Skin Briquettes as an alternative environmentally friendly technology. The type of research is experimentation and development with models (R&D) . Data collection techniques are experimentation, documentation and literature study. The data analysis method in this research involves the application of quantitative and qualitative approaches. Durian skin briquettes are divided into 2 groups: A1 (90% yellow durian skin charcoal: 10% adhesive), A2 (90% green durian skin charcoal: 10% adhesive). Durian skin briquette test results comparing 90% green durian skin charcoal with 10% adhesive showed the best results with a total heat of 4748 k cal/kg. The conclusion of this research is that the resulting calorific value efficiency is 4748 k cal/kg in green durian skin briquettes.

Abstract

This research aims to develop e-booklet learning media for traditional fish preservation techniques on the coast Bengkulu City. This research uses the Borg & Gall model which is carried out to the fourth stage, namely 1) research and data collection (research and information ), (2) planning (planning), (3) developing a product draft (developing a preliminary form of a product), (4) field trials (preliminary field testing). The research instruments included observation sheets, teacher interview sheets, student readability test questionnaires and expert validation sheets. The research results show that the e-booklet on traditional fish preservation techniques on the coast of Bengkulu City as a learning medium for an additive material for students is very suitable for use based on the results of validation tests. Students' responses to the readability of the e-booklet on traditional fish preservation techniques on the coast of Bengkulu City as a learning medium for additive material for students showed the very good category. In conclusion, the e-booklet on traditional fish preservation techniques on the coast of Bengkulu City as a learning medium for additive material is very suitable for use in learning science and additive material for class VIII SMP.

Abstract

ABSTRAK Penelitian bertujuan untuk menghasilkan media pembelajaran berbasis android pada materi sistem gerak pada manusia yang tervalidasi. Jenis penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan (research and development) dengan model pengembangan Borg and Gall. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini berupa angket validasi ahli materi dan media angket persepsi siswa yang diberikan kepada 25 siswa kelas 8 di SMP 7 Kota Bengkulu. Teknik analisis validasi yang digunakan adalah formula Aiken V. Hasil validasi ahli materi, media dan praktisi menyatakan bahwa media pembelajaran berbasis android dinyatakan valid menurut para ahli dengan masing-masing skor 0,88 oleh ahli materi, 0,94 oleh ahli media dan 1,00 oleh praktisi. Respon siswa terhadap media pembelajaran aplikasi diperoleh persentase sebesar 84,48 dengan kategori sangat baik. Kesimpulan dari penelitian bahwa media pembelajaran berbasis android pada materi sistem gerak pada manusia yang dikembangkan layak digunakan dalam proses pembelajaran dan mendapatkan tanggapan positif dari siswa kelas 8.   Kata Kunci: Media pembelajaran; SAC; sistem gerak.     ABSTRACT This study aims to produce android-based learning media on motion system materials in humans which is validated. This type of research is a research and development with a Borg and Gall development model. The instrument used in this study was in the form of a validation questionnaire for material and media experts. student perception questionnaire given to 25 grade 8 students at SMP 7 Bengkulu City. The validation analysis technique used is the Aiken V formula. The validation results of material experts, media and practitioners stated that android-based learning media were declared valid according to experts with scores of 0.88 by material experts, 0.94 by media experts and 1.00 by practitioners, respectively. Student responses to application learning media obtained a percentage of 84.48 with superior categories. Conclusions from the research of android-based learning media on motion system materials in humans the developed one is worth using in the learning process and getting positive responses from 8th graders.   Keywords: Learning media;SAC; motion system.

Abstract

ABSTRAK   Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan bahan ajar e-komik berbasis Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) pada materi Sistem Pencernaan Manusia yang tervalidasi oleh para ahli. Jenis penelitian ini adalah Penelitian dan Pengembangan (R&D) dengan model pengembangan 4D. Bahan ajar e-komik diuji kelayakan oleh dua validator ahli materi, dua validator media dan dua ahli praktis (Guru). Instrumen yang digunakan dalam  penelitian adalah lembar wawancara, angket kebutuhan peserta didik, angket validasi dan angket respon peserta didik. Hasil validasi oleh ahli materi, ahli media dan ahli praktis termasuk dalam kategori sangat valid. Hasil respon peserta didik pada aspek materi, tampulan dan bahasa termasuk dalam kategori sangat baik. Berdasarkan hasil kelayakan dan uji respon dapat disimpulkan bahwa bahan ajar e-komik telah layak secara konseptual dan bahan ajar e-komik mendapatkan respon  positif oleh sebagian besar peserta didik kelas VIII SMP.   Kata Kunci: CTL, e-komik, pencernaan   ABSTRACT   This study aims to produce Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) based e-comic teaching materials on human digestive system material validated by experts. This type of research is Research and Development (R&D) with a 4D development model. The e-comic teaching materials are tested for feasibility by three material expert validators, two media validators and two practical experts. The instruments used in the study were interview sheets, questionnaires on the needs of students and questionnaires of student responses. Validation results by material experts, media experts and practical experts fall into the category of very valid. The results of students' responses to aspects of material, tampulan and language are included in the excellent category. Based on the results of the feasibility and response test, it can be concluded that the e-comic teaching materials are conceptually feasible and the e-comic teaching materials have received a positive response by most of the students of class VIII junior high school.   Keywords : CTL, disgetion, e-comic

Abstract

ABSTRAK   Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan E-book bagi siswa SMP berdasarkan keragaman capung di Kawasan Persawahan Pagar Gading Kabupaten Bengkulu Selatan. Jenis penelitian ini adalah Reseach and Devolopment yang mengacu  pada langkah penelitian dan pengembangan Sugiyono (2017) yang telah dimodifikasi. Langkah penelitian disesuaikan dengan kebutuhan peneliti, yaitu potensi dan masalah, pengumpulan data, desain produk, validasi desain, dan revisi desain. Teknik pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini yaitu observasi, angket, dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data keragaman jenis capung dianalisis secara deskriptif. Uji validasi E-book meliputi aspek isi materi, penyajian, kebahasaan, dan kegrafisan. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ditemukan sebanyak 15 spesies capung dengan 5 famili dan 2 subordo, yaitu 9 spesies dari famili Libellulidae (Crocothemis erythraea, Crocothemis servilia, Diplacodes trivialis, Neurothemis ramburii, Neurothemis terminata, Orthetrum sabina, Pantala plavescens, Potamarcha congener, Trithemis aurora), 3 spesies dari famili Coenagrionidae (Agriocnemis femina, Ischnura senegalensis, Pseudagrion rubriceps), 1 spesies dari famili Platycnemididae (Copera marginipes), 1 spesies dari famili Chlorocyphidae (Libellago sumatrana)  dan 1 spesies dari famili Protoneuridae (Prodasineura verticalis). Hasil uji validasi E-book oleh ahli media 97,6%, ahli materi 96,4%, dan ahli praktisi (guru IPA SMP) 85,7%. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa desain E-book yang dikembangkan berdasarkan keragaman capung di kawasan persawahan Pagar Gading Kabupaten Bengkulu Selatan ini sangat layak untuk diuji cobakan sebagai media belajar keanekaragaman hayati SMP kelas VII.   Kata kunci: Capung, Persawahan, Pagar Gading, E-book   ABSTRACT     This study aims to produce E-book for SMP students based on the diversity of dragonflies in the rice fields of Pagar Gading, South Bengkulu Regency. This type of research is Research and Development which refers to the Research and Development steps of Sugiyono (2017) which has been modified. The research steps are adjusted to the needs of researchers, potential problems, data collection, product design, design validation, and design revision. Data collection techniques in this study are observation, questionnaires, and documentation. The data analysis technique for the diversity of dragonflies was analyzed descriptively. The E-book validation test covers aspects of material content, presentation, language, and graphics. Based on the results of the study found as many as 15 species of dragonflies with 5 families and 2 suborders, namely 9 species from the family Libellulidae (Crocothemis erythraea, Crocothemis servilia, Diplacodes trivialis, Neurothemis ramburii, Neurothemis terminata, Orthetrum sabina, Pantala plavescens, Potamarcha congener, Trithemis aurora), 3 species from family Coenagrionidae  (Agriocnemis femina, Ischnura senegalensis, Pseudagrion rubriceps), 1 species from family Platycnemididae (Copera marginipes), 1 species from family Chlorocyphidae (Libellago sumatrana) and 1 species from family Protoneuridae (Prodasineura verticalis). The results of the E-book validation test by media experts were 97,6%, material experts 96,4%, and expert practitioners (Science teachers of SMP) 85,7%. It can be concluded that the design of the E-book which was developed based on the diversity of dragonflies in the Pagar Gading rice fields, South Bengkulu Regency, is very feasible to be tested as a medium for learning biodiversity in SMP class VII.   Keywords: Dragonfly, Rice Fields, Pagar Gading, E-book

Abstract

The aim of this study was to determine the motivation of science teachers and students towards science after participating in the activity of assembling, simulating, and recording line follower robots as an effort to motivate middle school students and teachers towards science in Bengkulu Province. The research was done by direct practicing, where 60 students and 15 teachers of three junior high school (SMP): SMP Negeri 06 Seluma, SMP Negeri 02 Kota Bengkulu, and SMP Negeri 8 Rejang Lebong, were involved as the research subjects. The research activity concluded that the schools are ready to prepare simple electronics/robot laboratories for the three research subjects and the science teachers and students were motivated to learn science. It was seen from the score of 3.95 (scale of 1 to 5) for students, and for the science teacher, the score was 3.83 (scale of 1 to 5). The science teachers will follow up on robotics activities so that students will be interested in learning science at home and school.
