Abstract

The number of motorcycles on the report of Indonesian BPS statistics from the Indonesian State Police between 2019 to 2021 by its type has increased annually. Routine motorcycle checks, services, and maintenance are essential to keep a motorcycle in good condition and more durable; therefore, buying spare parts is enlarged in line with the growth of public motorcycle ownership. The necessity of buying spare parts increases with the growth of public motorcycle ownership. Numerous stores in Ngawi offer motorcycle spare parts and check services for routine motorcycle maintenance. One of these stores is BM Motor. To develop an effective product-selling strategy, it is essential to forecast the daily turnover of the shop. To achieve this, the present research aims to analyze the daily turnover using Recurrent Neural Networks (RNN) and Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM). These methods were applied to a time-series dataset, allowing for an in-depth examination of the patterns and trends in the shop's turnover. The research compares several hyperparameter tunings and scenarios to optimize the models that forecast daily turnover data at the store. The outcomes presented that the LSTM model achieved a lesser MAE score of 0.087, while the RNN model scored 0.092. These findings proved that the LSTM model achieved lower MAE than the RNN model, it means LSTM is more accurate than the RNN model.

Abstract

Taxes is one of sources income for countries, in which taxes contribute 71% of total revenue. Taxes are considered as a burden by the company, it is necessary to do a strategy to reduce the tax burden. Reducing the tax will cause companies to be aggressive towards taxes. The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of liquidity, leverage and company size on tax aggressiveness in consumer goods subsector manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange during the period 2017-2021. The type of data used in this study is secondary data from financial statements and company annual reports sourced from the official website of the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX). Determination of the sample using purposive sampling method and obtained a sample of 120 based on certain criteria. The analytical method used is multiple linear regression using the Stata 17 program. The results of this study indicate that liquidity and firm size have no significant effect with a negative direction on tax aggressiveness. While, leverage leads to a positive direction and has no significant effect on tax aggressiveness.

Abstract

Firli Group is an e-commerce and digital marketing company. At every new employee recruitment, Firli Group is still manual or semi-computerized, making it difficult to determine prospective new employees. Therefore we need a system that can be petrified to facilitate decision making, namely by using the Weight Product Model (WPM). WPM is a model of Decision Support System (DSS), namely by ranking, this analysis is carried out with a sample of 5 people. Decision support system on the acceptance of new employees, is expected to help the company.

Abstract

Abstract

Abstract This study aims to analyze the transition of the United States government from the Biden administration to Trump 2.0, with a focus on the dynamics of US-China relations and the sustainability of the America First policy. Using the Foreign Policy Change theory, this study examines the paradigm shift in US foreign policy from the Democratic Party leadership in the Biden-Harris era to the Republican Party approach under Trump, particularly in the areas of economic, trade, and security policies. Drawing on Charles Hermann's foreign policy change model and Graham Allison's bureaucratic politics approach, this study examines how the administration transition influences the direction of strategic relations between the two world powers. The research findings show that Trump's return has the potential to strengthen the direction of unilateralism and strategic rivalry towards China, but at the same time opens up the possibility of forming a new order in international relations. This study provides theoretical contributions to the study of foreign policy change as well as practical implications for policymakers and diplomatic actors in responding to the direction of US foreign policy during the Trump 2.0 administration. Keywords: US Foreign Policy, US–China Relations, America First, Trump 2.0, Strategic Rivalry

Abstract

Dimethyl ether (DME, CH₃OCH₃), the simplest alkyl ether and a structural isomer of ethanol, has attracted considerable attention as a clean fuel and chemical intermediate. To enhance its production efficiency, process modifications were introduced and rigorously evaluated through simulation modeling. The methodology involved systematic optimization of operating parameters to achieve targeted performance criteria. A key innovation was the adoption of a series-reactor configuration integrated with an intercooler between reactors, designed to improve conversion and yield. The modified process demonstrated a substantial improvement in DME production, with yield increasing from 40.87% to 62.29%. These results confirm that the proposed process modification significantly augments both yield and conversion, thereby offering a more efficient and sustainable route for DME synthesis. Abstract

This study examines the impact of translation strategies, including procedures, methods, and ideologies, on the quality of the rhymed children’s story “Can You Count the Stars”? (2019) translated from English into Indonesian. It aims to determine how the implementation of these strategies affects the translation quality. To address the challenges inherent in translating rhyme, such as preserving rhyme patterns, meaning, and ensuring cultural relevance. Both translators applied procedures such as modulation of perspective and meaning scope, addition, omission, and the translation of figurative language. In addition, the communicative method and a domestication ideology were applied to facilitate comprehension among child readers. The analysis shows that the translation by Respondent 1 (TSa1) demonstrates higher quality than that of Respondent 2 (TSa2), particularly in preserving rhyme patterns and delivering the message, whereas TSa2 loses some poetic nuances. Among the procedures, addition was found to be the most effective in enhancing translation quality by enriching the text without distorting the message. This study concludes that the careful selection and application of translation strategies play a critical role in balancing rhyme, meaning, and cultural context in rhymed children’s literature and support previous research on the significance of strategy selection in achieving quality translations.
