Abstract

Abstract

Hospitals are complex, expert and capital intensive health care institutions. During the Covid-19 pandemic, many cases of health workers infected with Covid-19 were described by data on the death rates of health workers in various countries. The use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for nurses is very influential because it can prevent exposure to infectious diseases. the risk of contracting the disease in nurses will increase. The purpose of this study was to analyze factors related to compliance with the use of PPE for dental workers in hospitals during the pandemic. This is a quantitative research with a cross-sectional approach. The target population in this study were all 65 medical personnel at RSIGM Sultan Agung Semarang. The sampling technique used in the study was the total population. The results showed that the information provided, leadership and perceived benefits will have a positive effect on dentist compliance in the use of PPE, while imbalance, and the environment have no positive effect on dentist compliance in the use of  PPE. Information provided, imbalance, leadership, environment and perceived benefits together have a relationship with dentist compliance in using personal protective equipment.Doctors and dental nurses need to maintain their mindset that they will feel happy if the patient and himself are protected from the Covid-19 virus. It is necessary to know that the use of PPE does not hamper the services provided because PPE is only an additional tool for personal and patient protection against the Covid-19 virus.

Abstract

The low support on cross-sectoral commitment of village stakeholders to health programs was one of factors contributed maternal and infant mortality in Tegal Regency. Although village funds have been rolled out since 2015, its implementation hadn’t been optimal due to orientation focus on infrastructure development. The study aims to analyze perceptions and attitudes of village stakeholders towards village level resources and optimizing village funds for MCH programs based on 3 groups stakeholder (Decision Maker, Provider and Clients-Representatives). It’s quantitative research, population of all village level stakeholders with 300 people as samples from 30 selected villages. Data collected with interview using questionnaire and being analyzed with frequency distribution and statistically using Kruskal-Wallis test. Most of three group stakeholders had good perception of their health resources and positive attitude towards MCH programs, but different results were seen for attitudes towards optimizing village funds. Decision Maker group and Clients-Representatives group showed tendency refusing, while Provider group tend to agree on village funds optimizing for MCH programs. Statistically, there were differences in attitudes towards optimizing village funds for MCH program between three groups. Attitude differences was mainly due to lack of understanding from external health stakeholders about health programs, especially village’s MCH program.

Abstract

Abstract

The implementation of the recommendations is a continuous improvement effort in improving the quality of Public Health Center services and is related to the strategy for increasing accreditation status. However, a preliminary study in Magelang District showed that the implementation of the follow-up recommendations given by the surveyor to the administration and management group was only carried out by the Candimulyo Health Center. This study aims to analyze the implementation of recommendations in the post-accreditation Administration and Management group at the Candimulyo Health Center, Magelang Regency. This research is a qualitative research with a case study research design. This research started from August to October 2022. There were 6 informants in this study consisting of the Head of the Public Health Center, the Admen in Charge, the Head of Quality and the Admen Team Members as the main informants. Data collection techniques in this study are in-depth interviews. Data validation uses source triangulation with informant triangulation. Analysis of the research data is data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. The results showed that only 28% of the recommendations had been implemented. The administration and management team already exists but there are no standards regarding post-accreditation activities, no specific planning and no monitoring and evaluation mechanism. The implementation of the recommendations at the Candimulyo Health Center has not been optimal because there is no specific plan regarding follow-up and support from the health office through monitoring and evaluation. Further research is needed on factors related to the non-implementation of post-accreditation monitoring and evaluation at the health office level. it is advisable to make reference to post-assessment accreditation activities including planning for the implementation of recommendations. and it is advisable to develop a policy mechanism for monitoring the implementation of recommendations. Keywords:  Accreditation, Quality, Recommendation

Abstract

Abstract The hospital pharmacy installation plays an essential role in the hospital, where the hospital pharmacy installation manages the management and distribution of drugs. The achievement of quality indicators related to the waiting time for concoction and non-concoction drug services at the Outpatient Pharmacy Installation of X Kendal Hospital still needs to be consistent. Patients also complain about long waiting times. This study aims to determine whether the implementation of patient drug prescription services in the Hospital Outpatient Pharmacy Installation has been appropriately managed or needs improvement. This research is qualitative research with a phenomenological approach. Purposive sampling researchers selected the research subjects. The subjects in this study consisted of four primary informants and two triangulation informants. The results of the in-depth interviews found that during no initial check was made on the identity of the patient or the prescription received because due to the habit of piling up prescriptions, the dose given by the doctor was not correct. Hence, it had to be recalculated, the amount of drug stock in the system was not correct always the same as the available physical stock, lack of pharmaceutical staff during the drug preparation process, and there were medication errors in the drugs that had been prepared so that the staff had to re-prepare them, and errors in the drug delivery process due to staff negligence, causing longer waiting times for prescription services. Therefore, it was concluded that the implementation of prescription services at hospital X in Kendal district had not been managed optimally or appropriately. Hospitals still need to evaluate and improve the process of implementing prescription services to reduce waiting times. Keyword: Drug Prescription, Pharmacy Installation, Service
