Abstract

ABSTRAKRokok atau gulungan tembakau yaitu salah satu produk yang peringkat konsumsinya relative banyak di masyarakat. Rokok juga masih menjadi masalah dan prioritas nasional daripada upaya untuk mengatasinya karena melibatkan berbagai aspek masalah dalam kehidupan, yaitu aspek ekonomi, sosial politik dan terutama aspek kesehatan. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui hubungan tingkat pengetahuan, Jenis Kelamin dan persepsi gambar kemasan rokok dengan perilaku merokok pada siswa Madrasah Aliyah RM Fatahillah. Penelitian menggunakan metode cross sectional yang melibatkan 45 responden dengan menggunakan  total sampling, penelitian ini dilakukan dalam satu bulan pada bulan Agustus 2019. Penelitian ini menggunakan Analisis bivariat dengan uji Chi-Square, dengan membagikan angket dalam bentuk kuesioner.  Hasil uji statistik menunjukan p value = 0,025, pada α = 0,05 (p ≤ α) maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara pengetahuan tentang bahaya merokok dengan perilaku merokok pada siswa. Hasil uji statistik diperoleh p value = 0,832, pada α = 0,05 (p > α) maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa tidak terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara jenis kelamin tentang bahaya merokok dengan perilaku merokok pada siswa. Hasil uji statistik diperoleh p value = 0,014, pada α = 0,05 (p ≤ α) maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara persepsi tentang gambar kemasan rokok dengan perilaku merokok pada siswa.Kata kunci : Tingkat pengetahuan, Jenis Kelamin, Persepsi    ABSTRACTCigarette or tobacco rolls are one of the products whose consumption ranking is relatively much in the community. Cigarette is also still a problem and national priorities rather than efforts to overcome it because it involves various aspects of problems in life, namely economic aspects, socio-political and especially health aspects. This research aims to determine the relationship of knowledge level, gender and the perception of cigarette packaging image with smoking behavior in students of Madrasah Aliyah RM Fatahillah. The study used cross sectional methods involving 45 respondents using total sampling, this study was conducted in one month in August 2019. This study used sufficient analysis with Chi-Square test, by distributing questionnaires in the form of a questionnaire.  Statistical test results show P value = 0.025, at α = 0.05 (P ≤ α) it can be concluded that there is a significant relationship between knowledge about the danger of smoking with smoking behavior in students. The results of the statistical test obtained p value = 0.832, at α = 0.05 (> α) It can be concluded that there is no significant relationship between gender about the danger of smoking with smoking behavior in students. Abstract

Tomatoes are one of the horticultural commodity crops that are easy to obtain and have various benefits such as being a functional food ingredient and an active ingredient in medicines and cosmetics. Tomatoes contain bioactive compounds, especially vitamin C, which plays an important role as a source of antioxidants, anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, antifungal and anticancer. The increasing productivity of tomato plants is one of the targets for every horticultural farmer to distribute to various industries, both food and pharmaceutical industries. Tomatoes, which are one of the horticultural commodity crops, are easily damaged, have a short shelf life, rot and also wilt easily, which can be caused by attacks by pathogenic fungi, namely Fusarium oxysporum and Fusarium solani. The solution to overcome these two attacks by pathogenic fungi is to use herbal plant extracts which are quite environmentally friendly and have pharmacological activity in inhibiting the growth of pathogenic fungi, one of which is the ethanol extract of kecombrang flowers. This research aims to provide the latest scientific information regarding the potential of 96% ethanol extract from kecombrang flower plants with concentrations of 1%, 3% and 5% in inhibiting the growth of both pathogenic fungi. Tests for the inhibition of the growth of these two pathogenic fungi were carried out using the well method. The results of this research have proven that kecombrang flower plant extract has overall inhibitory power and a concentration of 5% is the optimal treatment in inhibiting the growth of both pathogenic fungi.

Abstract

Penuaan kulit merupakan proses biologis kompleks yang melibatkan stres oksidatif, penurunan kolagen, peradangan kronis, dan peningkatan aktivitas enzim pemecah matriks seperti MMPs. Dalam upaya mencari bahan aktif alami yang efektif dan berkelanjutan untuk kosmetik anti-aging, produk fermentasi susu seperti kefir dan yoghurt mulai mendapat perhatian. Keduanya mengandung berbagai komponen bioaktif seperti probiotik, peptida, eksopolisakarida, asam organik, dan senyawa antioksidan yang dapat menurunkan stres oksidatif, meningkatkan sintesis kolagen, serta memperbaiki fungsi barrier kulit. Kajian literatur ini bertujuan menelaah mekanisme biologis kefir dan yoghurt dalam memperlambat penuaan kulit, mencakup aktivitas antioksidan, antiinflamasi, modulasi mikrobioma, dan stimulasi matriks dermis. Berdasarkan hasil telaah pustaka terbaru, kefir dan yoghurt terbukti berpotensi besar sebagai bahan aktif kosmetik anti-aging yang ramah lingkungan dengan keunggulan pada keberlanjutan proses fermentasi dan pemanfaatan limbah biomassa. Namun, dibutuhkan penelitian lanjut mengenai formulasi topikal terstandar dan uji klinis untuk memastikan efektivitas serta keamanan penggunaannya.

Abstract

Tuberculosis (TB) remains one of the leading infectious diseases causing morbidity and mortality in Indonesia. Limited public health literacy regarding TB symptoms, prevention, and treatment adherence contributes to delayed diagnosis and poor treatment outcomes. This community service program aimed to improve public understanding and awareness of TB through interactive educational activities conducted at the Outpatient Unit and TB Clinic of UPT Puskesmas DTP Saketi, Pandeglang Regency. The activities involved 30 participants, including TB patients and their families. Interactive counseling sessions, audiovisual media presentations, and group discussions were used to engage participants actively. Evaluation results showed a 35% increase in participants’ knowledge scores, greater awareness of the importance of completing treatment, and improved communication between patients and healthcare workers. The implementation of interactive education proved effective in enhancing TB health literacy and supporting national TB elimination efforts at the primary healthcare level.

Abstract

Non-communicable diseases (NCDs) are major public health problems that develop slowly and are often asymptomatic in the early stages. The Baduy community has limited access to modern health services, resulting in a lack of routine health screening. This community service activity aimed to conduct health screening through uric acid, blood sugar, and blood pressure examinations as an effort for early detection of NCDs in the Baduy community of Kanekes Village, Lebak Regency, Banten. The activity methods included preparation, health examinations, health education, and evaluation. A total of 17 community members participated in the activity. The results showed that 41.2% of participants had elevated uric acid levels, 11.8% had high blood sugar levels, and 47.1% had high blood pressure. This activity increased community awareness of the importance of routine health checks and provided an initial overview of NCD risk factors. Health screening combined with education is expected to contribute to the prevention of NCDs and improvement of community quality of life.

Abstract

Tahun 2020 merupakan tahun yang berat bagi dunia ketika tiba-tiba muncul wabah Covid-19, yang awalnya muncul secara lokal di Wuhan-China, lalu menyebar ke berbagai negara dan memporak-porandakan sendi-sendi perekonomian dunia. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk melihat pengaruh penyuluhan kesehatan terhadap tingkat pengetahuan dan sikap tentang Covid-19 siswa SMK Budi Utama. Jenis penelitian ini adalah quasi eksperimental design (eksperimen semu), dengan rancangan non equivalent control group design. Penelitian ini menggunakan kelompok yang diberi perlakuan penyuluhan dengan metode ceramah dengan menggunakan media power point. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa Jurusan Asisten Keperawatan dan penelitian ini menggunakan total sampling yaitu 41 siswa. Berdasarkan analisis data didapatkan hasil bahwa tingkat pengetahuan siswa tentang Covid-19 meningkat dari 48% menjadi 57% siswa yang memiliki pengetahuan tinggi, selain itu juga didapatkan hasil bahwa sikap dari siswa meningkat lebih baik yaitu dari 78,04% menjadi 90,24% setelah diberikan penyuluhan. Hasil analisis bivariat uji beda 2 mean menunjukkan bahwa ada pengaruh penyuluhan kesehatan terhadap tingkat pengetahuan siswa SMK Budi Utama Panimbang tentang Covid-19 (p-value=0,000). Dan juga ada pengaruh penyuluhan kesehatan terhadap sikap siswa SMK Budi Utama Panimbang tentang Covid-19 (p-value=0,006). Kesimpulan penelitian ini adalah ada pengaruh intervensi penyuluhan tentang Covid-19 terhadap pengetahuan dan sikap siswa SMK Budi Utama Panimbang.

Abstract

The community service activities carried out in Sukalangu Village, Pandeglang Regency, had the main objective of increasing the utilization of local potential through the development of useful and economic herbal products. The potential of herbal plants in this village is quite abundant, but their utilization is still limited to traditional use for household needs. Therefore, a systematic effort is needed to enable the community to process them into products with added value. The implementation method of the activities included counseling on the benefits of herbal plants for health, technical demonstrations of making simple herbal products such as health drinks and traditional potions, and participatory assistance in the production process. The results of the activities showed a significant increase in community knowledge, with a 40% increase in understanding of the types, benefits, and processing methods of herbs. In addition, technical skills in mixing and processing herbs increased by 50% based on pre- and post-training evaluations. Furthermore, community interest and motivation to develop herbal-based businesses also grew, as demonstrated by the formation of small groups of residents who took the initiative to produce herbal products as household businesses. Other impacts that emerged were increased individual capacity, collective awareness to protect and utilize natural potential, and the opening of sustainable local economic opportunities. Overall, this activity makes a real contribution to supporting the independence of village communities through the utilization of local resources based on traditional wisdom.

Abstract

Smoking is one of the main risk factors for several chronic diseases that can lead to death. The negative health effects of smoking are considerable. Education about the dangers of smoking needs to start from school age. Fun educational media can be used to increase students' awareness of the dangers of smoking, one of which is the use of snakes and ladders game media. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the use of snakes and ladders game media on increasing knowledge of the dangers of smoking in students of SMKS Mathla'un Nawakartika Pandeglang. This community service approach is delivered through various activities, including site preparation methods, counseling methods, pre and post test methods, and the use of snakes and ladders games about the dangers of smoking. The results of the service showed that students of SMKS Mathla'un Nawakartika had low knowledge and awareness about the dangers of smoking before counseling. After counseling and snake and ladder games have been proven effective in increasing the average knowledge about the dangers of smoking in SMKS Mathla'un Nawakartika students, so that it can be used as an alternative learning media innovation in an effort to increase student knowledge.
