Abstract

Especially in Austria itself, it is estimated that in 2050 the Muslim population will be around 19.9% of the total population and the population increase will be second in Europe after Sweden with 30.6%. Interestingly again in Austria apart from being a secular country but it provides concern for Muslims to develop Islamic religious education there. Therefore, this study aimed to determine how universities in Austria prepared Islamic religion teachers at undergraduate level both in terms of models and curricula to face increasingly complex challenges and a growing number of Muslim citizens. This study used library research, while the approach used interpretative approach. The main reference source was the content on the university website that offers Islamic Religious Education programs. In addition, various sources lead to discourse and curriculum development in Austria. The number of data were displayed using descriptive statistics and described using descriptive qualitative. Then research design that would be carried out was to reveal the course content contained in the web and then reduced, especially in terms of the preparation curriculum for Islamic Religious Education teachers. Of the various courses presented were analyzed using content analysis where the important point was to take the most fundamental content that was related to the principles of curriculum development, namely contextual and responding to the challenges of the times. The results showed that the preparation of Islamic teachers in one of the colleges in Austria consists of undergraduate, graduate, and postgraduate degrees. Undergraduate program of Islamic Religious Education consists of two models, namely Bachelor’s Program Secondary School Teacher Training (General Education) – Subject: Islamic Religion and the specific name is Bachelor’s Program - Islamic Religious Education. In general, the content emphasis applied in the preparation of Islamic religious education teachers is still material-based.

Abstract

Pandai besi biasanya membuat pisau besar dari baja pegas bekas yang ditempa panas. Namun, proses penempaan membutuhkan lebih banyak energi dan peralatan. Selain itu, baja pegas bekas memiliki retakan mikro, deformasi, kelelahan, dan korosi. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengevaluasi struktur mikro dan kekerasan pisau yang tidak ditempa. Pisau dibuat dari pelat baja karbon kondisi baru (bukan baja bekas) dengan ketebalan 3 mm. Pelat baja dibentuk menggunakan gerinda tangan. Flame hardening pada pisau dilakukan dengan memanaskan baja menggunakan nyala api langsung pada suhu 800-900°C. Tiga jenis media pendingin yang digunakan adalah oli SAE 20W50, oli iso-rapid khusus untuk quenching, dan air dicampur 2,5% NaCl powder. Karakterisasi struktur mikro menggunakan mikroskop optik, dan uji kekerasan menggunakan metode Vickers. Hasil karakterisasi struktur mikro menunjukkan perubahan dari bainit menjadi martensit. Kekerasan tertinggi diperoleh dengan media quenching air dicampur 2,5% NaCl powder, tetapi menyebabkan retakan mikro pada baja. Kekerasannya adalah 810,09 HV pada sisi tebal dan 813,88 HV pada sisi tajam. Hasil terbaik diperoleh dengan oli iso-rapid karena menghasilkan kekerasan tinggi dan tidak menimbulkan retakan. Kekerasannya adalah 723,86 HV pada sisi tebal dan 728,53 HV pada sisi tajam.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the implementation of the market in the context of establishing entrepreneurial careers in early childhood at Aisyiyah Kindergarten Kartasura Branch (TK ACK). The research method uses qualitative phenomenological research case studies. The subjects of the study are teachers and students of ACK Kindergarten. The research informants were the principal, parents of students and the management of Aisyiyah Kartasura Branch. The data collection tool uses participatory observations, in-depth interviews, and document studies. The data validity technique uses triangulation of sources and methods. The data analysis technique uses an interactive analysis model. The results of the study show that the market day is in accordance with the internal spirit of the affiliate and in accordance with the vision, mission and goals of the institution. Parents' participation in setting up stands for children to sell merchandise. Students make their own items that will be sold on the minus one day of implementation. The implementation of selling students by practicing by writing down the type of products sold and the price with the help of parents, students practice price bargaining, and calculate returns and income from buying and selling. The skills that appear in Market Day can strengthen the mastery of 21st century skills: : Communication skills, Creativity, Collaboration, Social skills, Literacy skills, Social responsibility, Innovation skills dan Thinking skills.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the structure and dynamics of Muhammadiyah Australia College (MAC) spending as a community-based Islamic educational institution in Australia in the period from 2021 to 2023.  Using a qualitative descriptive approach and analysis of annual financial data, this study shows a significant shift in the MAC spending structure.  In the early stages of establishment in 2021, spending was dominated by external consulting services.  However, as operations develop, spending in 2022 and 2023 is more focused on internal expenses such as employee salaries, superannuation, educational infrastructure, and information technology.  Although revenues have increased significantly, faster growing expenditures have led to budget deficits that need managerial attention.  The results of this study underscore the importance of efficient, transparent, and strategic financial management in community educational institutions, as well as the need to diversify revenue sources and implement adaptive financial information systems.  These findings are expected to be a reference for similar institutions in improving the efficiency of spending and the sustainability of education operations in the diaspora.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the relationship between independent competency standards of students with career development, career shift trends, and the relationship between extracurricular activities and student career development in College. This research method uses document studies about the ins and outs of career development in College. I collected documents from the Guidance and Counseling Implementation Guidelines in Formal Education published by the Directorate General of Teachers and Education Personnel of the Ministry of Education and Culture in 2016, publications related to career development, and publications from McKinsey. It analyzed the data using descriptive qualitative analysis. The result of this research is that the standard of self-reliance competence has been optimized integratively by institutions in College through career service activities. These activities are extracurricular, co-curricular, extracurricular cooperation between lecturers. It can carry activities in College to prepare students to face the trend of shifting community careers at the local, national, and global levels.

Abstract

Penelitian ini menggunakan deskriptif kualitatif lebih banyak menjelaskan, mendeskripsikan dan lebih banyak menganalisis dengan menggunakan pendekatan induktif. Penelitian kualitatif lebih mengutamakan proses dan makna yang didasari sudut pandang atau penilaian dari sisi subjek. Hasil penelitian ini adalah: 1). Kepala sekolah sebagai pimpinan sekolah harus mempunyai berbagai kompetensi dan keterampilan antara lain; keterampilan konseptual, keterampilan manusiawi, dan keterampilan teknik. Kegiatan pokok yang harus diemban kepala sekolah yaitu merencaranakan, mengorganisasi, mengkooordinasi, memantau, serta menilai atau mengevaluasi dalam bingkai manajemen sekolah. Ada tujuh peran kepala sekolah yang harus diamalkan dalam bentuk tindakan nyata di sekolah/madrasah yang disingkat dengan EMASLIM, yaitu peran sebagai educator, manager, administrator, supervisor, leader, innovator dan motivator. 2). Manajemen Sekolah di MIN 2 Surakarta meliputi: Manajemen kurikulum, manajemen sumber daya manusia, manajemen kesiswaan, manajemen keuangan, manajemen hubungan masyarakat, manajemen layanan khusus. Layanan-layanan tersebut harus di kelola secara baik dan benar sehingga dapat membantu memperlancar pencapaian tujuan pendidikan di sekolah. Pelayanan khusus atau pelayanan bantuan diselenggarakan di sekolah dengan maksud untuk memperlancar pelaksanaan pengajaran dalam rangka pencapaian tujuan pendidikan di sekolah. Berikut ini adalah jenis-jenis layanan khusus yang di sediakan sekolah: Layanan Bimbingan dan Konseling (BK), layanan Kesehatan Sekolah (UKS), layanan kafetaria sekolah, layanan asrama sekolah, layanan perpustakaan sekolah, layanan laboratorium sekolah.

Abstract

This research aims to describe the strategy of raising alumni donation in a higher education. A higher education for the developed countries has a big and important role, not only in producing competent graduates in their fields but also as the driving force for the development of economy and civilization. The government has an interest and encourages a higher education to play more role. Therefore, the government issues a policy related to the autonomy of higher education which is known university with status of legal entity. University of Indonesia is one of the universities that has the status. Consequence of the status is subsidy cuts. To overcome the problem, University of Indonesia looks for one of new sources which is alumni donation. The method used in this research is descriptive-qualitative. Collecting data uses the techniques of observation, interview, and documentation study. The result of research indicates that decisions taken by University of Indonesia as legal entity state university are strategic innovative, and attractive including the change of structure, innovation of programs, classification of alumni, and non-money donation.

Abstract

This research aims to investigate the extent of the management of the endowment fund of the University of Indonesia and its development between 2021 and 2024, while also seeking alternatives to increase the university's financial resources as government funding diminishes. The technique used is qualitative, with the consolidated financial statements of the University of Indonesia as the main source, along with other official documents that typically accompany audits. Field findings indicate that the total value of the endowment fund has consistently grown, from Rp 114.8 billion at the end of 2021 to Rp 136.8 billion four years later, an increase of nearly 19.16 percent—equivalent to an average of 6.4 percent per year. The largest contributor comes from the Purnomo Yusgiantoro Foundation, contributing 36.5 percent in 2024, followed by the alumni fund which provided 28.9 percent, plus contributions from corporations and other donors. The accumulated funds are primarily allocated for scholarships, accounting for 58.3 percent; cross-disciplinary research 15.6 percent; and the enhancement of academic infrastructure 22.1 percent. The researcher notes that the management of the funds is conducted transparently and professionally—together with BNI Asset Management, the average annual return is at 9.8 percent, surpassing prolonged inflation.

Abstract

Teacher welfare is a crucial factor influencing motivation, performance, and the quality of learning. While previous research has largely discussed the relationship or influence of teacher welfare on performance, there are still limited studies explaining the forms of welfare efforts undertaken by schools, particularly in private schools. This study aims to analyze the role of principal leadership in improving teacher welfare at Muhammadiyah PK Rabbani Elementary School. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach. The research subject is the principal as the primary source of information, while informants include teachers, employees, and educational staff. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews, participant observation, and documentation studies. Data validity was tested using triangulation. Data analysis was conducted through data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results show that the principal plays a significant role in improving teacher welfare, both financially and non-financially. Financially, the principal lobbies and negotiates for additional incentives for teachers despite limited authority. From a non-financial perspective, the principal creates a positive work environment, provides opportunities for professional development, and provides recognition and rewards for teacher achievement. In conclusion, effective principal leadership contributes significantly to improving teacher well-being, which in turn supports the quality of education in schools.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the financial management of the National University of Singapore (NUS) for the 2023–2024 fiscal year using a common size analysis approach. The data were obtained from NUS’s publicly accessible financial reports. Findings indicate that the largest expenditure component is Expenditure on Manpower, accounting for 52% of the total budget. This reflects the university’s prioritization of human capital development and staff welfare. The second-largest category, Other Operating Expenditure (34–37%), includes costs related to daily campus operations. Depreciation & Amortisation Expenditure accounts for 10–11%, while Scholarships and Interest & Borrowing Costs take up smaller shares. The observed increases across several categories suggest strategic adjustments made to support institutional sustainability, operational efficiency, and educational service quality. Moreover, NUS demonstrates a strong commitment to financial transparency by consistently publishing open-access financial statements. This study contributes to the discourse on higher education financial governance and provides a reference for other institutions seeking to strengthen accountability and sustainability in their financial systems. The findings highlight the importance of transparent, well-structured budgeting in fostering trust, institutional resilience, and long-term excellence in higher education
