Abstract

Based on preliminary research, results demonstrated that the learning process in the fifth grade still uses conventional teaching methods without using interactive learning media. This research aims to develop Monopoly Game learning media on biodiversity topics by using Research and Development (R&D), ADDIE model. This model consists of five stages: analyzing, designing, developing, implementing, and assessing. The subjects of the current research were fifth graders at a public elementary school in East Java province, Indonesia. Data collections included media and learning device validation sheets, observation during learning activities, and students’ test results. The data obtained was analyzed by using Likert Scale, especially on validation data and test results to determine the evaluation of the result of media use. From the validation expert, the result shows that the Monopoly game received 81.82% and 80.77% which was included in the very feasible category. Based on the results of students’ learning outcomes, it is proven that the influence of Monopoly media significantly improved the students’ learning outcomes, by 40.09% compared to conventional teaching which was only able to increase their grade by 31.02%. The results emphasize that monopoly learning media improves students' learning outcomes.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat secara nyata proses dan implementasi metode problem solving sebagai upaya meningkatkan kemampuan berfikir siswa pada mata pelajaran Ilmu Pengetahuan Sosial (IPS)di MI NU Tamrinul Aulad Kudus. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian lapangan dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Lokasi penelitian di MI NU Tamrinul Aulad Janggalan Kudus. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa: (1) Pembelajaran IPS di MI Tamrinul Aulad Kudus itu disesuaikan dengan Kurikulum KTSP, tetapi untuk kelas I dan IV sudah mulai menerapkan Kurikulum 2013, (2) Penerapan metode problem solving di MI NU Tamrinul Aulad Kudus menjadikan siswa lebih aktif berpikir, aktif dalam pembelajaran di kelas dan bersemangat, (3) Faktor pendukung metode problem solving yaitu: peran guru, kemampuan untuk memahami kajian, keaktifan siswa, keefektifan metode, kesiapan anak didik, dan kecerdasan siswa. Faktor penghambat metode problem solving pada mata pelajaran IPS, yaitu: kurangnya motivasi siswa, kurangnya dukungan guru, dan kurangnya konsentrasi siswa.Kata kunci: Kemampuan berfikir, Metode Problem SolvingThis study aims to clearly see the process and implementation of problem solving methods as an effort to improve students' thinking skills in Social Sciences (IPS) subjects at MI NU Tamrinul Aulad Kudus. This type of research is field research with a qualitative approach. Research location at MI NU Tamrinul Aulad Janggalan Kudus. The results of this study indicate that: (1) Social Studies learning at MI Tamrinul Aulad Kudus is adjusted to the KTSP Curriculum, but for classes I and IV have begun to apply the 2013 Curriculum, (2) The application of problem solving methods in MI NU Tamrinul Aulad Kudus makes students more active thinking, active in learning in the classroom and excited, (3) Factors supporting the problem solving methods, namely: the role of the teacher, the ability to understand the study, student activeness, the effectiveness of the method, students' readiness, and student intelligence. Inhibiting factors of problem solving methods in social studies subjects, namely: lack of student motivation, lack of teacher support, and lack of student concentration.Keyword: Thinking ability, Problem Solving Method

Abstract

ABSTRACT Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Raida Collection is a service business located in one of the Rembang Regencies engaged in the field of tailoring services. In the Pre-survey assistance conducted by KKU (Business Work Lecture) students of YPPI Rembang University, problems faced by MSME owners were found in the form of a lack of ability in knowing the importance of labeling and branding in their businesses. This assistance activity aims to advance the quality of branding and labeling in rural tailoring businesses whose branding has not improved enough. Based on the existing problems, the KKU program activities are to create a business brand identity and labeling on finished products. Therefore, the results of the pre-survey were compiled into a method for solving problems in the form of a qualitative approach through a) Student pre-survey to the owner's place by interviewing, asking for permission and compiling a program of activities to be implemented b) Implementation of the program to create brand and labeling designs c) Monitoring and evaluation of program activities d) Closing and withdrawal. Therefore, from the problem factors faced, a KKU program was created which. Program implementation, monitoring and evaluation and finally closing and withdrawal. The results of the community service program that were implemented showed that MSMEs already have an identity in the form of the Raida Collection business brand and finished product labeling. Abstract

At present, digital media plays an important role as one of the main sources of information and can also introduce new things to the surrounding environment. In this context, digital media acts as the main tool for disseminating popular culture and also functions as a medium for introducing popular culture to the wider community. communication involving both verbal and non-verbal expressions that include intercultural or cross-cultural aspects. The rapid progress of the era, coupled with the wave of modernization that is difficult to stop, and the shift in lifestyle from traditional to urban lifestyle, have affected all aspects of life by this modernization process. This factor is one of the causes of the emergence of popular culture. From one of these phenomena, the author wants to know how popular culture is viewed from the perspective of cross-cultural communication. The results of this study indicate that popular culture can influence cross-cultural communication at this time, and the media has an important role in the development of popular culture. So with this it is certainly important to understand how messages and information conveyed and received can be sorted by each individual with a background of different cultures in order to minimize conflict in cross-cultural communication. Abstract

Program Pengabdian Masyarakat bertujuan untuk memenuhi Tri Dharma perguruan Tinggi. Keunggulan program ini salah satunya membantu paguyuban dalam mengatasi masalah yang sedang terjadi. Permasalahan yang terjadi yaitu lemahnya pembelajaran literasi numerasi khususnya di Kelompok Belajar Taman Kanak-Kanak. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan pembelajaran literasi numerasi pada guru di KB TK Tunas Sumber Jaya untuk meningkatkan kemampuan literasi numerasi pada anak-anak usia dini karena pendidikan Taman Kanak-Kanak merupakan pondasi dasar yang sangatlah penting bagi proses perkembangan anak, sehingga sudah selayaknya anak mendapatkan fasilitas dalam pemenuhan kebutuhan di setiap perkembangannya. Rancangan prosedur kegiatan program PKM yang diusulkan dalam usulan ini meliputi tahapan: (1) persiapan; (2) pelaksanaan; dan (3) observasi serta evaluasi. Kesimpulan dari pengabdian menunjukkan pemahaman & keterampilan pembelajaran literasi numerasi guru KB TK Tunas Sumber Jaya mengalami peningkatan. Anak didik sangat senang, karena kegiatan literasi, numerasi dan life skill disampaikan guru dengan cara yang menyenangkan, mudah, menarik, dan menantang pemahaman anak.

Abstract

Indonesia is known as a country rich in local wisdom from various regions, inherited from ancestors who lived and endured to the present day. This study aims to explore the local wisdom values contained in the self-purification tradition at Belahan Temple in Wonosunyo Village, Gempol Subdistrict, Pasuruan Regency, East Java Province, and to analyze the relationship between humans and nature in the context of this local tradition. The research method employs a qualitative approach with data collection techniques through in-depth interviews, observations, and content analysis. The research findings reveal that the self-purification tradition is not only a series of rituals but also reflects cultural values passed down from generation to generation. The analysis of local wisdom values emerging from the self-purification tradition shows its connection to the concepts of sustainability, harmony, and respect for the natural environment. This research has significant implications for understanding the relationship between humans and nature, especially in the context of cultural sustainability and environmental preservation. The study provides new insights into how local traditions can serve as a means to enhance human awareness of the importance of preserving a harmonious relationship with nature.

Abstract

This study examines how colonial power is articulated through the form, spatial layout, and symbolism of Bogor Palace, and how post-independence transformations in function and discourse shape its new identity. As a colonial architectural legacy, Bogor Palace holds historical significance and reflects power dynamics, cultural representation, and spatial acculturation in both colonial and postcolonial contexts. The research highlights the importance of reassessing colonial architecture as a medium for representing power and ideology, especially in buildings that remain national symbols. Using a qualitative approach with literature review and visual analysis, the study applies Michel Foucault’s theory of power and discourse to reveal embedded power structures, and Erwin Panofsky’s iconography and iconology to decode visual symbols and meanings. Findings show that the neoclassical European style of the palace reflects colonial dominance, yet its adaptation through local materials, construction techniques, and climate-responsive elements indicates a complex process of acculturation. Initially marginal, local culture becomes integrated into the building’s design. After independence, the palace was resemanticized from a colonial icon to a national emblem, illustrating a shift in identity and power narratives. Today, restoration efforts not only preserve its historical value but also reaffirm role as a dynamic cultural space shaping Indonesia’s collective memory.

Abstract

Pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini fokus pada program pengembangan pengetahuan tentang branding di SMK Ma'arif 1 Kretek, Bantul, Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta. SMK Ma'arif 1 Kretek memiliki potensi unggul dalam bidang otomotif dan tata busana. Permasalahannya terletak pada belum dimaksimalkannya branding sekolah di media digital. Kegiatan pengabdian ini dilakukan dengan cara menyelenggarakan pelatihan dan pembuatan video profile sekolah yang melibatkan pihak internal SMK Ma'arif 1 Kretek, mulai dari guru, staf, hingga siswa-siswinya. Pelatihan yang dilakukan mengusung tema Brand New Day: Melangkah Menuju Era Digital. Program kegiatan ini dilakukan dalam tiga tahap. Perama, pra pelaksanaan yang mencakup observasi, wawancara, perumusan masalah, dan persamaan persepsi. Tahap kedua, pelaksanaan yang mencakup pelatihan branding melalui media digital dan pembuatan video profile sekolah. Tahap ketiga, evaluasi yang mencakup tinjauan ulang dari kegiatan yang diselenggarakan. Hasil dari kegiatan ini menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pemahaman terkait branding dari peserta. Hal itu bisa menjadi titik masuk untuk pengembangan branding yang berkelanjutan.

Abstract

Nutrisi pada susu sesuai dengan perkembangan dan pertumbuhan mikroorganisme mengakibatkan turunnya kualitas susu tersebut, sehingga diperlukan upaya dengan mengelola kualitas susu, salah satunya dengan membuat whey kefir. Pembuatan whey kefir memanfaatkan susu kedelai yang merupakan sumber nutrisi alternatif bagi penderita intoleransi laktosa, dan ekstrak bunga telang sebagai bahan antioksidan serta antiinflamasi. Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengkaji pengaruh perbedaan ekstrak bunga telang terhadap organoleptik dan derajat keasaman (pH) pada produk fermentasi kefir susu kedelai. Metode penelitian menggunakan model Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan empat perbedaan penambahan ekstrak bunga telang sebanyak 0%, 2%, 4%, dan 6%. Hasil uji pH dianalisis dengan ANOVA satu arah, sedangkan organoleptik dengan nonparametrik Kruskal-Wallis dan Mann-Whitney. Hasil menunjukkan penambahan ekstrak bunga telang berpengaruh nyata (P<0,05) dan tidak nyata (P>0,05) pada beberapa perlakuan terhadap nilai pH. Nilai pH antara 5,37 ± 0,020 hingga 5,42 ± 0,020, sehingga lebih tinggi daripada umumnya. Namun, ekstrak bunga telang berpengaruh nyata (P<0,05) terhadap organoleptik kefir. Nilai organoleptik warna antara 3,00 ± 0,379 hingga 3,00 ± 0,765; aroma antara 2,00 ± 0,0615 hingga 2,00 ± 0,626; tekstur antara 1,50 ± 0,571 hingga 2,00 ± 0,728; rasa dengan rentang 2,00 ± 0,714 hingga 2,00 ± 0,776 dan 3,00 ± 0,430 hingga 3,00 ± 0,507. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa perbedaan penambahan ekstrak bunga telang pada kefir susu kedelai hanya mempengaruhi organoleptik saja, tidak dengan derajat pH.

Abstract

This article examines concept of learning styles and the effect on students' critical thinking ability. According to United Nations (UN) critical thinking skills (critical thinking skills) is characteristic of the current era of globalization of society, namely the knowledge society (knowledge-based scoeity). But critical thinking is considered by most students is difficult, moreover, the lesson is still centered on the lecturer (Teacher Centered Learning) so that students are difficult to express ideas. So that students' critical thinking skills are still low. Learning style is considered to be a means to develop critical thinking abilities. It is based on the results of the study Nurbaeti, et al (2015) There is a positive relationship between learning style with critical thinking skills. Based on these descriptions, the necessary efforts to develop students' critical thinking skills by observing the learning style of each individual. Achievement of critical thinking skills of students affected by many factors, one of which is learning style. In addition to the use of appropriate teaching methods, learning styles also a motivating factor to achieve critical thinking skills. Because the student's learning style has a close connection with the achievement of the average value of critical thinking skills and cognitive abilities of learners
