Abstract

Generasi muda merupakan pilar utama dalam pembangunan bangsa. Namun, keberlangsungan bangsa menghadapi tantangan serius berupa penyalahgunaan Narkotika, Psikotropika, dan Zat Adiktif (NAPZA). Universitas Hamzanwadi melalui program Kuliah Kerja Nyata (KKN) berkolaborasi dengan Satuan Reserse Narkoba (Satres Narkoba) Polres Lombok Timur untuk mengedukasi pelajar di MTs dan SMA Darussolihin NW Kalijaga Selatan. Sosialisasi bahaya NAPZA di MTs dan SMA Darussolihin NW Kalijaga Selatan dilakukan melalui pendekatan kolaboratif antara pihak sekolah, pemerintah daerah, dan lembaga terkait. Sosialisasi ini dilaksanakan melalui beberapa tahapan strategis, melibatkan kolaborasi mahasiswa KKN Universitas Hamzanwadi dan Satres Narkoba Polres Lombok Timur. Satres Narkoba Polres Lombok Timur membawa pengalaman dan otoritas dalam memberikan informasi yang akurat mengenai bahaya NAPZA. Sebagai pihak yang berhadapan langsung dengan kasus penyalahgunaan NAPZA, mereka memiliki wawasan yang luas mengenai situasi di lapangan, termasuk pola penyebaran NAPZA dan dampaknya terhadap masyarakat. Abstract

This research is motivated by the still dominant use of conventional learning models that are centered on teachers, which has an impact on low motivation and student learning outcomes. This study aims to determine the effect of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model with the Mind Mapping strategy on student motivation and learning outcomes at SMA Negeri 1 Sekongkang. The research method used is a quasi-experiment with a purposive sampling technique, involving 52 students as samples. The research instruments are in the form of motivation questionnaires and learning outcome tests. The results of the analysis show that the PBL model with Mind Mapping has a significant effect on student motivation and learning outcomes, with a significance value of 0.000 (p <0.05) and an F value = 10.004. These findings indicate that the application of active and visual learning models can increase the effectiveness of learning.

Abstract

Partners are in the city of Mataram, namely the Nurul Islam Sekarbela Islamic boarding school. Starting from the problems of the boarding school, including the low level of independent health of students who are staying and also supported by economic needs in the management of Islamic boarding schools, on the other hand, the cottage has a fairly large yard/land but is still not managed optimally. In our service activities, we provide two things that become solutions to the problems of partners at the Nurul Islam Islamic Boarding School, namely by providing education on the application of land management / boarding school yards with the Agroforestry system. Agroforestry system is a system of land / yard management by combining farming, forestry and animal husbandry systems. This system will increase land productivity while conserving land, promoting aesthetics with flowering plants, and the farm that we will combine is trigona bee cultivation. In the aspect of cultivation, we will combine agricultural and forestry crops and choose bee-feeding plants, namely resin and pollen supply plants. Meanwhile, from the aspect of cultivation, the team provided assistance in providing flowering tree seeds of the Kaliandra species, etc. The service implementation team held technical guidance activities on how to plant on peat land for the right types of trees and planting patterns.

Abstract

Hand sanitizers are a community need during the Covid-19 pandemic. The availability of hand sanitizers is very small, so they are sold at relatively expensive prices on the market. One solution to the need for public health during the Covid-19 pandemic is to use hand sanitizers made from local materials that can be found in the surrounding environment. However, public knowledge about this is very low. For this reason, this service is carried out to provide knowledge and skills to the community on how to make hand sanitizers made from local materials that are environmentally friendly and economical, such as: betel leaf and lime. This service activity is carried out in 4 (four) stages, namely: 1) interviews and observations, to find out the initial conditions of the people of Karang Dima Village, Sumbawa Regency and local materials that can be used for making hand sanitizers; 2) socialization to the community about the importance of maintaining cleanliness; 3) training and hands-on practice of making hand sanitizers made from local ingredients and their packaging; and 4) assistance. The enthusiasm of the community during the training was very high, and the result of the training was that the community had qualified skills in making their own hand sanitizer, which was much needed.

Abstract

Bunut Baok Village is one of the villages located in Praya District, Central Lombok Regency. The majority of the people are breeders and farmers. Farmers leave behind mountains of cow manure, have a pungent odor, and pollute the surrounding waters, so that people feel disturbed. Meanwhile, farmers currently have difficulty obtaining fertilizer and the price is very expensive, because chemical fertilizers can boost agricultural/plantation yields. Communities generally use chemical fertilizers, where the excessive use of chemical fertilizers has an impact on environmental damage. For this reason, the community needs to be given knowledge about the processing and benefits of organic fertilizer packaged through community empowerment activities in the form of training and counseling so that they are able to process local waste into organic fertilizer that is environmentally friendly. Through this activity, it is hoped that the community will be able to take advantage of existing local potential and be able to carry out further innovations regarding organic fertilizers, even being able to be packaged and produced in large quantities to be used as a livelihood for the local community. This service activity is carried out in three stages, namely: 1) preparation, in the form of observations and interviews as well as identification of local waste as the main ingredient for making organic fertilizer; 2) outreach to the public about the importance of treating waste so that the environment is kept clean; and 3) training on processing local waste into organic fertilizer. The community is very motivated by this activity, especially because environmental pollution is reduced by waste treatment and can overcome the scarcity of fertilizer they really need.

Abstract

Environmental problems caused by household waste are issues that are often discussed. Instilling concern for the environment from an early age is very important for all parties, both from the school environment and the surrounding environment at home. This community service activity aims to provide education to MAS Al-Hamidiyah NW Sidemen students, Batu Layar District, West Lombok Regency about how to process organic waste so that it brings high value benefits from what was previously only as waste. The method used in this activity was training related to organic fertilizers, the content of banana peels, as well as demonstrating or practicing the material previously presented, namely on how to make liquid organic fertilizer from banana peels. Based on the results of the activities that have been carried out, it can be concluded that all participants who took part in the training could make their own liquid organic fertilizer, this can be seen from the patientness of the participants when practicing directly step by step the process of making liquid fertilizer.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe how to integrate local potential in the Curriculum Study Course to improve students' critical thinking skills. This research is a qualitative descriptive study using research samples from students of the Department of Biology Education, Faculty of Applied Science and Engineering, Mandalika University of Education. The instrument used is a critical thinking ability test sheet in the form of 5 essay questions. The results of the analysis show that the critical thinking skills of stage I students reached 47.5% (critical enough), increased in stage II to 75% (critical), meaning that most of the students were critical in identifying various problems related to the curriculum and local learning resources, analyzing and reviewing the applicable curriculum, and selecting solutions and making decisions which are then used in learning in schools.

Abstract

Based on the results of observations and interviews at MTs. NW Pengadang found that students' absorption in biology subjects was still lacking. This study aims to determine the effect of the Problem based instruction model combined with the Probing Prompting technique on critical thinking skills and cognitive learning outcomes of class VII MTs Biology students NW Pengadang for the 2017/2018 school year. The population of this study were all seventh grade students in the even semesters of MTs. NW Pengadang for the 2017/2018 school year. The samples in this study were students of class VII A as the experimental class using the Problem based instruction model with the Probing Prompting technique and class VII B students as the control class using the lecture and discussion method. Collecting critical thinking ability data using tests in the form of description questions. Measurement of students' cognitive learning outcomes using multiple-choice tests. The data analysis technique used descriptive statistics, namely the One Way ANOVA test with a significant level of 5%. Based on the results of the research on critical thinking skills, the control class has an average score of 53.24 in the less critical category, the experimental class has an average value of 67.18 in the critical category, the cognitive learning outcomes of the control class have an average value of 77, the experimental class has an average value 78.14. The results of hypothesis testing using One Way ANOVA with the help of SPSS stated that critical thinking ability has a value of > = 21,298 > 4,030 and for cognitive learning outcomes it has a value of > = 8,991 > 4,030. The results of the study can be concluded that: There is an effect of the Problem Based Instruction model combined with the Probing Prompting technique on the critical thinking ability and cognitive learning outcomes of the VII grade MTs Biology students NW Pengadang for the 2017/2018 school year.

Abstract

Local potential has meaning as a source or strength possessed by each region to be utilized in certain activities. The local potential that has been utilized in biology learning is the school yard area as a place for learning practices. The aims of this study are: 1) to identify what local potentials exist in SMA Negeri 1 Pemenang, North Lombok Regency; and 2) find out how to develop local potential in SMA Negeri 1 Pemenang, North Lombok Regency as the basis for the preparation of class X Biology LKPD. This type of research is descriptive research and development research. The development model used is a 4D development model which is modified into 3D, namely Define, Design, and Develop. The location used as a place of research is a live pharmacy, where a live pharmacy has several types of medicinal plants that are used as learning media. Based on the validation results from the validator, the results from linguists were 67.5%; material experts by 57.5%; and expert display by 42.5%; with an average of 55.5% in the eligibility category the Student Worksheet is quite valid.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to describe the influence of cooperative learning type Think Pair Share (TPS) based on local potential on student learning outcomes in professional teaching courses. This type of research is descriptive research with a qualitative approach. The sample for this research was students from the Department of Biology Education, Faculty of Applied Science and Engineering, Mandalika University of Education, which programs professional teaching courses. This research instrument is in the form of student learning outcomes questions consisting of 6 questions in essay form. Data on student learning outcomes were analyzed descriptively. The results of the descriptive analysis show that the average pre-test score reached 67, increasing to 89 in the post-test, so it can be concluded that there is an influence of the Think Pair Share (TPS) learning model on student learning outcomes.
