Abstract

This article conceptually examines the role of Unique Selling Proposition (USP) and experience branding in building image and differentiation through product branding. In the context of increasingly fierce market competition, brands can no longer rely solely on product attributes or price, but need to integrate unique selling points (USP) with a holistic consumer experience (experience branding). Analysis shows that USP functions as a cognitive pillar that highlights the rational differences of a product, thereby strengthening brand image and differentiating it from competitors. On the other hand, experience branding acts as an affective pillar that builds image and differentiation through a series of sensory, emotional, intellectual, and behavioural experiences that are consistent across all touchpoints. The combination of the two creates a more comprehensive, sustainable, and relevant product branding strategy in today's experience-oriented market.

Abstract

This research aims to explore the social and economic impacts of implementing circular business models through a comprehensive literature review. Circular business models offer solutions to address sustainability challenges, by promoting the principles of recycling, reuse and waste reduction to optimise resources. The review shows that this approach contributes to economic sustainability by creating efficiencies in the value chain, while introducing opportunities for technological innovations that support better resource management. Moreover, from a social perspective, circular business models can create quality jobs, promote community empowerment, and reduce social inequality. However, the implementation of this model faces a number of challenges, such as organisational resistance, large investment needs, and complex policy adaptations. Thus, while the circular business model has great potential for positive impact, it requires cross-sector collaboration for successful implementation.

Abstract

Village economic development in Indonesia is hampered by the lack of adequate infrastructure and human resources (HR). Improving both is considered essential to facilitate sustainable economic growth at the village level. This research utilises an in-depth literature research method, where data and information are collected from various academic sources, including journals, articles and research reports related to village economic development. The main findings of this study show that infrastructure improvements such as access to proper roads, stable electrification, and internet connection trigger village economic growth by improving the distribution of goods, expanding markets, and increasing efficiency. Meanwhile, empowering human capital through non-formal education and specialised skills training increases productivity and innovation. These investments also show co-benefits, such as improved access to health and education services, as well as strengthening the rural tourism sector. Infrastructure and human capital limitations must be addressed simultaneously to trigger inclusive and sustainable rural economic development. This research confirms that strategic measures, including appropriate investment and empowerment programmes, are important in placing villages on an adequate growth trajectory and harnessing existing local potential into a tangible economic force.

On the other hand, factors such as limited digital knowledge, financial capacity for initial investment, and cybersecurity are major barriers. The study also showed a significant increase in sales and market expansion for MSMEs that managed to overcome these barriers and implement digital strategies well.
