Abstract

Abstract

This community service aims to support local food security at Masjid Berkah Box through the implementation of Internet of Things (IoT)-based aquaponic technology. The activities began with location observation and identification of available resources. Next, the team designed an aquaponic system that integrates temperature, humidity, and water flow monitoring using sensors and the Arduino platform. The system implementation includes the installation of water pumps, filters, and sensors, as well as initial trials to ensure the stability of environmental parameters for the growth of fish and plants. Training and education were provided to the community on how to maintain the IoT-based aquaponic system, with the goal of enhancing knowledge and skills in modern agriculture. The results of the service showed a significant increase in participants' understanding and skills regarding aquaponic technology, as evidenced by pre-and post-training surveys. A total of 80.7% of participants felt they had a better understanding of the aquaponic concept after the training, and 66.19% felt more confident to engage in aquaponic activities. Periodic evaluations were conducted to monitor plant growth and fish health, which showed that the system operates efficiently and is capable of providing a sustainable food source. The implications of this activity include the utilization of previously unproductive land into valuable resources and improving the quality of life of the community by providing healthy food and additional income from the sale of aquaponic products. This program also contributes to reducing air pollution and mosquito populations in the vicinity of the mosque

Abstract

Serat Centhini (Suluk Tambanglaras or Suluk Tambangraras-Amongraga) is one of the greatest literary works in New Javanese literature. Its construction began in 1742 Java (1814 AD) during Sunan Pakubuwana IV. The main reference is the Jatiswara book which was made in 1711 Java or 1783 AD during Sunan Pakubuwana III. This article tracks the arithmetic information contained in Serat Centhini, including cardinal numbers, ordinal numbers, Javanese calendar, and candrasengkala. The research was carried out by using the literature study method of Serat Centhini which is translated into Indonesian and transliterated in Latin script. The results showed that Serat Centhini recorded quite a lot of mathematical information which was used in the daily life of Javanese people. The results of this study can be used as teaching materials for ethnomathematics.

Abstract

In writing the inscription, several things need to be considered, one of which is the number of years. One example of an inscription that engraves the number of years up to thousands is the Sirah Keting Inscription. The condition of the inscription when it was found was worn, including the year number. According to J. L. A. Brandes and W. F. Stutterheim, the Sirah Kĕting inscription dates to 1026 Śaka, while according to the reading of Louis-Charles Damais, the year number is 1126 Śaka. The correctness of the differences in the reading of the number of years can be traced by using the Bratakesawa Tabulation, Damais Tabulation, Zeller Formual, and Sivaraman Formula. The four methods used gave the same results. The missing number in the hundreds position is 1 so that the number of years inscribed on the Sirah Keting Inscription is 1126 Saka or 1204 AD.

Abstract

The Rajaban tradition is a tradition of religious rituals as an expression of gratitude and moments to commemorate historical events, one of which is the change in the direction of Qibla from Baitul Maqdis to the Kaaba in Mecca. Based on these problems, in this article, it is shown by using the study of Graph Theory, namely the eccentric digraph to determine the center of the earth's region. Data processing is done by making the Kaaba and the seven continents on the earth's surface as a point on graph G and the side connecting the points is the distance (in km) with physical boundaries between them being considered non-existent. The results of the discussion show that the Kaaba in Mecca is the center of the earth's area with ec(v1) = 12,039 = rad(G).

Abstract

In this study, mathematical concepts are used to explore the existence of mathematics in culture, especially in the Tasikmalaya group of geulis. By observing the current conditions, the activity of making kelom geulis is seen as a "mathematical-free" activity. It is still rare and there is still a lack of public knowledge about ethnomathematics which colors the activities of making kelom geulis as a motivation to investigate the mathematical knowledge contained in it. In addition, with the decreasing number of kelom geulis craftsmen as a result of the use of kelom geulis left by the original community producing these products. This study aims to determine and describe the ethnomathematics of the geulis group. The method used is qualitative with ethnographic methods. The subjects in this study were selected using a purposive sampling method with the research subject being a kelom geulis craftsman in the Tamansari (Gobras) area, Mulyasari, Tasikmalaya. Data collection techniques used are interviews, observation and documentation. The data analysis technique used in the research is data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. Based on the results of data analysis, it can be concluded that there are mathematical concepts in the geulis group, especially in the discussion of flat shapes such as rectangles, circles and triangles. This research also produces a linear equation that relates the length of the foot to the size of the geulis group.

Abstract

The development of student life is the responsibility of the parents who gave birth to it. If we empathize and can live the dynamics of a student's psychic life, we as adults will regret having treated a child or student incorrectly. This shows that we need to know about the world of children or students both at home and at school. So that we know how necessary parents, teachers, and anyone who is engaged in the field of education understand the stages and tasks of child or student development. In this study only focused on the role of educators and teachers for student development. The purpose of this paper discusses the school efforts to achieve student development into a better person. The method used in this research is literature studies with a focus on student development. The results show the role of the school is very important for the development of students to face the world of work in the future. The explanation presented in this paper, still seems to be dominated by the opinions or findings of experts from the West. Therefore, for further research, it is necessary to conduct a more comprehensive study, both textually and contextually.

Abstract

The Javanese calendar has been in use since July 8, 1633 AD, during the time of Sultan Agung. In the Javanese calendar, there is a cycle called kurup. Aboge is one of the kurup in the Javanese calendar, the third kurup after Awahgi and Amiswon. Currently, the Javanese calendar has reached the fourth circle, namely Asapon. Even though it is kurup, Aboge is special because Aboge is seen as a religious sect. Regarding determining the beginning of fasting and other religious holidays, Aboge has its own method based on the Javanese-Aboge Calendar, better known as the Aboge Calendar. This research was made to explain the inconsistency in determining the start of fasting calculated by the Aboge and Asapon calendars, compared to government regulations. The research method is a literature study and a case study surveying government regulation regarding the beginning of fasting and Eid al-Fitr. The study results show that both the Aboge Calendar and the Asapon Calendar are not appropriate when used as a guide for determining the implementation of religious holidays.
