Abstract

This research was conducted at the Kisaran Regional Revenue Service Office (UPTD Pependa) to analyze the effectiveness of e-Samsat in increasing motor vehicle tax revenue, addressing the issue of low public participation in paying taxes through the e-Samsat application. The method used in this study was a qualitative research method with a descriptive approach. Data collection techniques used were field studies consisting of observation, interviews, and documentation. The findings indicate that E-Samsat is very efficient in improving internal administrative processes, reducing recording errors, and accelerating financial reporting. However, its effectiveness in increasing overall PKB revenue remains low, marked by minimal taxpayer participation (0.153%). This is due to uneven and ineffective socialization, as well as slow community adaptation due to low digital literacy, limited access to technology, and doubts about the security of online systems amidst rampant fraud and lack of education. The implication is that although E-Samsat is an efficient innovation, its full potential in increasing PKB revenue has not been achieved, requiring a more comprehensive and equitable socialization strategy, increased technological accessibility, and ongoing education to build public trust and digital literacy.

Abstract

This research aims to develop a model for Islamic securities crowdfunding in Indonesia. Respondents consisted of 9 experts, including regulators, SCF operators, academics, MSMEs, and representatives of the Islamic fintech association, selected through purposive sampling. This research uses the Analytical Network Process (ANP) approach model. The results indicated that the problems encountered in the development of Islamic crowdfunding securities comprise five key aspects: literacy, public trust, management, regulatory, and technological. The level of agreement (rater agreement) is W=0.3753086, indicating 37.5% sufficient agreement in determining the problem priority issues among informants. The most prioritized Islamic crowdfunding securities development solution is the literacy solution, followed by the public trust solution, the technology solution, the management solution, and finally the regulatory solution. The informants’ agreement level is W = 0.2938272. This means that the level of agreement among informants on the priority order of Islamic SCF development solutions is 29.3%, indicating a sufficient level of agreement. Alternative strategies for developing the most prioritized Islamic crowdfunding securities include increasing literacy, building ecosystems, securing government support, improving technology, and implementing business sustainability strategies. The level of agreement (rater agreement) is W = 0.3101343, indicating that the priority order of Islamic SCF development strategies is 31% agreement, which is a sufficient level.

Abstract

Home-based culinary MSMEs have seen substantial growth in response to economic instability and limited formal employment options. UMKM Mama Zahra, a local culinary business in Medan Tembung, has strong product acceptance but struggles with professional management and digital marketing. This study examines how the integration of the Business Model Canvas (BMC) and Maslahah principles from Islamic economics influences sustainable growth and managerial decision-making. Using a qualitative case study approach, data was gathered through in-depth interviews with the business owner and customers, participatory observation of operations, and document analysis. The data were analyzed using thematic analysis to identify patterns in BMC components and Maslahah dimensions (dharuriyyat, hajiyyat, and tahsiniyyah). The results show that Maslahah principles influence decisions in value proposition, customer relationships, and revenue streams by emphasizing ethical practices such as product quality, fair pricing, and customer trust. However, challenges in digital literacy and limited online marketing adoption hinder market expansion, weakening promotional strategies and scalability. For instance, the lack of social media presence and digital sales channels restricts customer acquisition beyond the local area, despite high customer loyalty. The study concludes that combining BMC and Maslahah principles fosters sustainable growth, focusing on economic viability, ethical practices, and community welfare. To enhance competitiveness and long-term success, targeted digital marketing training and continuous business mentoring are recommended for home-based culinary MSMEs.

Abstract

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of Locus of Control, Self-Efficacy, and Work Environment on Employee Performance at Bank Sumut Syariah KCP Karya. The background of this research is based on the phenomenon of declining employee performance in several branches, including KCP Karya, which is suspected to be influenced by psychological factors and workplace conditions. The study employed a quantitative approach using a survey method, distributing questionnaires to all employees (22 respondents), and analyzing the data with SPSS. The results show that, partially, all three independent variables—locus of control (p = 0.003), self-efficacy (p = 0.000), and work environment (p = 0.041)—have a significant effect on employee performance. Simultaneously, the three variables also significantly influence employee performance with a significance value of 0.000 (< 0.05) and an Adjusted R² of 81.9%, indicating a strong contribution of these variables to performance outcomes. The study concludes that improving internal locus of control, enhancing self-efficacy, and creating a conducive work environment significantly contribute to better employee performance. These findings have important implications for management in designing performance improvement strategies through psychological empowerment and workplace improvements.
