Abstract

Osteoarthritis is a progressive condition affecting the joints, where there is an accumulation of cellular stress, breakdown of the extracellular matrix, and gradual deterioration of the articular cartilage. This leads to the bones rubbing against each other, causing pain, stiffness, and impaired mobility. The Kwanyar Community Health Center documented a total of 194 instances of knee osteoarthritis between July and September 2022. The objective of this research is to examine the correlation between body mass index and smoking habits, as well as the occurrence of knee osteoarthritis in older individuals, using the Western Ontario and McMaster index. The study design employs analytics using a cross-sectional methodology. The survey had a total of 86 participants. There were 54 responders from whom samples were obtained. The sample approach employs probability sampling with the Simple Random sample technique. The data collecting method employs a questionnaire form. The statistical analysis employs the Spearman Rank test with a significance level of 0.05. The ethical testing of this study has been conducted by the KEPK STIKes Ngudia Husada Madura team. The study findings indicate that the analysis is conducted using the Spearman Rank statistical test, yielding a significant result (p=0.000) which is lower than the significance level (a=0.05). It may be inferred that there is a correlation between body mass index and smoking habits in connection to the occurrence of knee osteoarthritis in older individuals, as measured by the Western Ontario and McMaster index. For the aged, it is advisable to enhance their body mass index and modify their smoking habit as a preventive measure against knee osteoarthritis. The study aims to investigate the correlation between the respondents' understanding of body mass index and smoking habits, and the occurrence of knee osteoarthritis in older individuals.

Abstract

General Background: Quality primary healthcare services are essential in meeting increasing public expectations, particularly in remote regions. Specific Background: At the Sungai Boh Community Health Center, previous surveys reported low satisfaction scores, indicating persistent service quality issues. Knowledge Gap: Despite known challenges, empirical analysis across the SERVQUAL dimensions in remote health facilities remains limited. Aims: This study analyzes the quality of health services at the Sungai Boh Health Center based on five SERVQUAL dimensions: reliability, responsiveness, assurance, empathy, and tangibles. Results: Findings reveal that responsiveness and empathy are relatively strong, supported by staff commitment and routine training; however, service reliability and assurance are hindered by infrastructural limitations, incomplete medical equipment, and inconsistent discipline. Tangible aspects such as waiting areas and diagnostic tools remain inadequate. Novelty: This study demonstrates how geographical isolation interacts with human resource capacity and infrastructural constraints to shape service quality outcomes within a rural Indonesian health center. Implications: Improvements in supporting facilities, continuous professional development, strengthened SOP implementation, and enhanced coordination with local health authorities are required to ensure efficient, equitable, and patient-centered healthcare delivery in remote areas. Highlights:  Strong responsiveness and empathy improve patient trust despite limited resources. Infrastructural and equipment gaps remain major barriers to service reliability. Continuous training and strengthened SOPs are crucial for sustaining quality care. Keywords: Health Service Quality, Servqual, Primary Healthcare, Patient Satisfaction, Remote Health Centers

Abstract

This study aims to show how the government innovates in realizing sustainable development in transportation, and how the transition path of developing regions in this study focuses on the Batam city, accelerating change through public policy with a business approach. This study uses a qualitative descriptive approach, with primary and secondary data sources. Primary through observation, observation interviews, documentation, and focus group discussions. Meanwhile, secondary sources come from research results, literature studies, and documentation from the Batam city government and the mass media. The analysis technique uses triangulation assisted by the NVivo 14 tools application. The results of the study show that there are three programs that the government can utilize through a business approach to accelerate sustainable transportation, namely energy transition, mobility services, and multimodal infrastructure development. The energy transition can be carried out by implementing electric transportation even in long-term development. This step hurts the sustainability of electrical energy sources, but its externalities minimize the dissolution of fuel use. one of which is possible is park and ride which can connect the community with digital-based public services, and finally Batam City as an industrial city can utilize the private sector/companies as third parties (multilevel perspective), The interaction between the two will be on each other which can continue through integration to achieve alignment of goals according to the concept of sustainable development targets.

Abstract

This research investigates the effectiveness of the Electronic Court System (E-Court) implementation at the Kotabaru District Court in Indonesia, using the End User Computing Satisfaction (EUCS) model. The study aims to assess how well the E-Court system meets its objectives of improving judicial efficiency, transparency, and accessibility, and to identify the barriers that limit its full effectiveness. The research employs a qualitative descriptive approach, utilizing primary data collected through in-depth interviews, structured observations, and document analysis. Interviews were conducted with key stakeholders, including judges, court staff, advocates, and litigants, to gather insights into their experiences with the E-Court system. The EUCS model was used to analyze user satisfaction across five dimensions: content, format, ease of use, timeliness, and support. The findings indicate that while the E-Court system has significantly improved administrative efficiency, reduced time and costs, and enhanced public access to justice, challenges persist in areas such as ease of use, timeliness, and technical support. External factors such as poor internet infrastructure, geographic constraints, and limited digital literacy also hinder the system's full potential. The study concludes that the success of the E-Court system depends on overcoming these barriers through better technical support, improved user interfaces, and broader digital literacy programs. Recommendations are made for both local and national stakeholders to address these issues and enhance the inclusivity and accessibility of the E-Court platform.

Abstract

Diabetes mellitus is a health problem throughout the world, and its prevalence continues to increase every year. Diabetes mellitus is often not realized by diabetics because it does not produce typical symptoms in the early period. Diabetes is a non-communicable disease (NCD) because of 80% unhealthy behavior. The problem in this research is that the diabetes risk group cannot yet carry out independent early detection of diabetes; they are not aware of their health conditions related to the incidence of DM, so they have not made efforts to change behavior to prevent diabetes mellitus and reduce risk factors that can be changed. This research aimed to determine the effect of early self-detection of diabetes mellitus on the health behavior of DM risk groups based on the Health Belief Model (HBM). This quantitative research used a quasi-experiment design with a one-group pre-post-test approach. The sample was 100 respondents by purposive sampling. The data collection used questionnaires based on HBM. The research intervention was by teaching the use of the SEDAB application and educating on healthy behavior to prevent DM; the interval between intervention and post-test was 4 weeks. Analysis of research data uses the Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test. The research results show that the intervention has the effect of increasing perceived susceptibility (p-value=0.000), Perceived Severity (p-value=0.000), Perceived Barriers (p-value=0.000), Perceived Benefit Perceived (p-value=0.000), cues to action (p-value=0.017), Self-efficacy (p-value=0.000), and healthy behavior (p-value=0.000). Early detection of diabetes in diabetes risk groups is essential to prevent DM and improve healthier lifestyles.
