Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh pentingnya kesehatan keluarga sebagai dasar kesejahteraan masyarakat, serta masih adanya keterbatasan pengetahuan dan kesadaran masyarakat dalam menerapkan perilaku hidup sehat. Kondisi tersebut mendorong perlunya peran pihak yang mampu melakukan pendampingan secara langsung, salah satunya Kader Surabaya Hebat (KSH). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan dan menganalisis peran KSH dalam menumbuhkan kualitas kesehatan keluarga di Kelurahan Wiyung Kota Surabaya. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis studi kasus. Informan penelitian terdiri dari KSH, petugas puskesmas, perangkat kelurahan, dan masyarakat yang dipilih secara purposive. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui wawancara mendalam, observasi partisipatif, dan dokumentasi. Analisis data menggunakan model Miles dan Huberman yang meliputi pengumpulan data, reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa KSH berperan sebagai pendamping, edukator, fasilitator, dan penghubung antara masyarakat dengan layanan kesehatan. Bentuk pendampingan meliputi kunjungan rumah, edukasi kesehatan, pendataan, dan pemantauan kondisi keluarga yang dilakukan secara berkelanjutan. Peran tersebut memberikan manfaat berupa peningkatan pengetahuan, kesadaran, dan perilaku hidup sehat keluarga. Meskipun terdapat hambatan seperti keterbatasan waktu dan partisipasi masyarakat, dukungan pemerintah dan kedekatan kader dengan masyarakat menjadi faktor pendukung utama. Dengan demikian, KSH berkontribusi dalam menumbuhkan kualitas kesehatan keluarga secara bertahap.

Abstract

Nonformal vocational training is increasingly required to prepare learners not only with technical competence but also with career readiness. However, limited empirical evidence explains how adult-oriented curriculum practices and learners’ self-regulation contribute to career readiness in nonformal vocational training institutions. This study aimed to examine the association between andragogical curriculum orientation, self-regulated learning, and career readiness among learners at LKP Lussy Surabaya. A quantitative ex post facto correlational design was applied using questionnaire data from 65 valid learners. Andragogical curriculum orientation was measured through self-concept, experience, readiness to learn, learning orientation, and learning motivation; self-regulated learning was measured through forethought, performance, and self-reflection; and career readiness was measured through concern, control, curiosity, and confidence. The results showed that andragogical curriculum orientation and self-regulated learning were positively and significantly associated with career readiness, with self-regulated learning emerging as the stronger predictor. Simultaneously, both variables explained 70.7% of the variance in career readiness. These findings indicate that career readiness in nonformal vocational training is shaped by adult-oriented learning experiences and learners’ regulatory capacity. This study provides an empirical basis for rethinking curriculum orientation beyond technical skill delivery toward stronger support for career readiness.

Abstract

This study was motivated by the low participation of older adults in health programs and the heavy digital administrative burden faced by the Kader Surabaya Hebat (KSH) in Gubeng Subdistrict. The central issue of this study is the role of KSH in promoting elderly health, along with the supporting and inhibiting factors. The objective of this study is to analyze the strategic role of KSH as agents of elderly health empowerment at the community level. The benefits of this research include theoretical contributions to the development of Non-Formal Education (NFE) and practical benefits for improving the quality of life for the elderly as well as optimizing government services. The theoretical framework of this study utilizes Role Theory, the concept of Andragogy, and Ecological Systems Theory. This research employs qualitative approach using a case study design. Research subjects were selected through purposive sampling involving community health workers, the elderly, health workers, and neighborhood association (RW) officials. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and document analysis, then analyzed using the Miles, Huberman, and Saldana model, which includes data collection, data condensation, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study indicate that KSHs perform a multidimensional role as health educators, facilitators of POSGA and R1N1 services, social motivators, and implementers of monitoring through the Sayang Warga (ASW) application. The effectiveness of these roles is driven by family support, intrinsic motivation, community solidarity through voluntary contributions (jimpitan), and interagency collaboration. However, there are obstacles in the form of digital administrative burdens (role overload), misalignment in coordination processes, and the declining physical condition of the elderly. The study concludes that strengthening the self-reliance of community health workers and simplifying the reporting system are crucial for sustainability.

Abstract

This study was prompted by the circumstances of student-athletes at the PKBM Homeschooling Daya Kreasi Prima in Surabaya, who have a rather demanding training schedule and consequently often experience fatigue, a lack of focus, and a decline in their interest in learning. These circumstances highlight the need for a teaching method capable of creating a learning environment that is enjoyable, flexible, and tailored to the students’ needs. This study aims to describe the implementation of the fun learning method, the learning interest of student-athletes, as well as the supporting and inhibiting factors in the implementation of the fun learning method in fostering the learning interest of student-athletes at the Daya Kreasi Prima Homeschooling PKBM in Surabaya. This study employs a qualitative approach using a case study design, with data collection conducted through in-depth interviews, participant observation, and documentation. The research subjects consisted of administrators, tutors, and student athletes. Data analysis was conducted through data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions, and also utilized data validity tests, namely credibility, dependability, confirmability, and transferability tests. The research findings indicate that the implementation of the fun learning method involves the stages of preparation, delivery and evaluation of the learning process. This is achieved through a relaxed learning atmosphere, the use of varied learning materials, educational games, quizzes, simple practical exercises, and a tutoring approach tailored to the circumstances of the student-athletes. The students’ interest in learning is evident through their enjoyment, engagement, acceptance of the learning process, and active participation throughout the learning process. Supporting factors include the tutors’ competence, learning media and facilities, support from management, an understanding of the students’ personalities, and a good relationship between tutors and students. Inhibiting factors include the students’ physical condition, fluctuating moods, an unpredictable study schedule, time constraints, demands on the tutor’s creativity, and the potential for monotonous learning. Thus, the fun learning method can foster learning interest among student-athletes if applied flexibly, adaptively, and in accordance with the students’ circumstances.

Abstract

Warisan budaya memiliki peran krusial dalam membentuk identitas sosial masyarakat di tengah tantangan arus globalisasi dan modernisasi yang berpotensi mengikis makna filosofis tradisi lokal. Salah satu bentuknya yaitu melalui implementasi cultural informal education yang dilakukan pada tradisi Siraman Sedudo yang dilaksanakan rutin di Desa Ngliman Kabupaten Nganjuk. Berdasarkan konteks penelitian ini memiliki rumusan masalah yakni berfokus pada implementasi cultural informal education untuk melestarikan nilai-nilai budaya masyarakat melalui tradisi Siraman Sedudo, nilai-nilai budaya yang diwariskan melalui tradisi Siraman Sedudo, serta faktor pendukung dan penghambatnya. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis penelitian fenomenologi digunakan dengan tujuan mengungkap esensi pengalaman hidup (lived experience) para pelaku tradisi. Lokasi penelitian berada di Desa Ngliman Kabupaten Nganjuk. Subjek penelitian terdiri atas tujuh informan yang dipilih secara purposive sampling, meliputi tokoh adat, perangkat desa, penggiat budaya, dan generasi muda. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui wawancara,   observasi, dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan model analisis fenomenologi yang dikembangkan oleh Clark Moustakas. Analisis ini dipilih karena penelitian ini berupaya memahami secara mendalam pengalaman, pemaknaan dan implementasi cultural informal education untuk melestarikan nilai-nilai budaya masyarakat melalui tradisi Siraman Sedudo. Sedangkan uji keabsahan data dalam penelitian ini diuji melalui persistent observation, prolong engagement, triangulasi dan member check. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tradisi Siraman Sedudo merupakan bentuk nyata implementasi cultural informal education yang berlangsung secara alami melalui keterlibatan langsung, pembiasaan, keteladanan serta interaksi sosial dalam kehidupan bermasyarakat. Nilai-nilai budaya yang diwariskan meliputi nilai spiritual, nilai kebersamaan dan gotong royong, nilai penghormatan kepada leluhur, nilai kebanggaan terhadap budaya lokal serta nilai etika dan sopan santun. Faktor pendukung meliputi loyalitas penuh pemerintah desa, resiliensi kelembagaan adat, konsistensi partisipasi masyarakat, keluarga sebagai agen transmisi nilai-nilai budaya, pemanfaat teknologi dan media sosial serta damapk positif nyata yang dirasakan masyarakat. Sedangkan faktor penghambatnya adalah pergeseran pola pikir masyarakat, munculnya pandangan yang mempertentangkan tradisi dengan agama, intensitas aktivitas dalam kehidupan sehari-hari, keterbatasan pemahaman tentang tradisi dan faktor alam. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut, disarankan bagi lembaga adat dan pemerintah desa untuk mengoptimalkan edukasi budaya yang lebih intensif dan adaptif, salah satunya dengan memanfaatkan media digital, membentuk kelompok pemuda pelestari budaya dan mengadakan program pelatihan untuk mengenalkan adat serta budaya lokal yang ada di Desa Ngliman.

Abstract

This training is a form of non-formal education that plays a crucial role in improving participants' vocational skills, particularly in the beauty industry as Make-Up Artists (MUAs). By participating in MUA training, participants not only gain insight into makeup but also gain practical experience that can serve as a starting point for developing skills in the beauty industry, both for personal needs and as a foundation for identifying career opportunities and businesses in makeup services. This research employed a qualitative approach with descriptive methods. The subjects included the owner, instructors, and training participants at Mefaza Mua Pandaan. Data collection was conducted through observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis involved data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. Data validity was tested through source and technique triangulation. The findings of this study indicate that the implementation of Make-Up Artist (MUA) training at Mefaza Mua Pandaan was carried out through the planning and implementation stages. Supporting factors for the training included adequate facilities, experienced instructors, and a conducive learning environment. Meanwhile, the obstacles faced included differences in participant abilities, time constraints, and difficulty in understanding certain make-up techniques.

Abstract

This community service aims to empower Package C students, particularly adult women at Anggrek Bulan Community Learning Center (CLC), Banyuwangi Regency, through entrepreneurship development training. The training focuses on business financial management, understanding market and business opportunities, and building business networks to support the development of agricultural businesses, specifically in cultivating golden dragon fruit. The implementation method involves several stages: first, socialization and discussion with the chairman of PKBM; second, identifying business development needs through the manager; third, training to enhance knowledge and skills in entrepreneurship; and fourth, mentoring, which is systematically conducted to assess the application of the training. The results of this initiative empower women by improving their entrepreneurial skills and addressing challenges they face in developing businesses. This training not only supports the personal growth of the participants but also strengthens local entrepreneurship, with a focus on agricultural business development. The research highlights the importance of continuous mentoring and skill enhancement for adults to overcome barriers to business success. Future recommendations suggest expanding similar programs to other regions to further empower marginalized communities and foster sustainable agricultural entrepreneurship.

Abstract

Program kecakapan hidup memiliki peran penting dalam meningkatkan kemandirian peserta didik pada satuan pendidikan nonformal, terutama bagi peserta didik yang membutuhkan bekal keterampilan untuk menghadapi tuntutan kehidupan dan dunia kerja. Salah satu bentuk program kecakapan hidup yang dikembangkan di PKBM Tunas Harapan Surabaya adalah pelatihan pembuatan anyaman rotan yang berorientasi pada pengembangan keterampilan produktif dan pemberdayaan peserta didik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji peran program kecakapan hidup pembuatan anyaman rotan dalam meningkatkan kemandirian peserta didik di PKBM Tunas Harapan. Penelitian menggunakan metode kajian literatur dengan mengumpulkan dan menganalisis berbagai sumber ilmiah yang relevan berupa artikel jurnal, buku, dan dokumen pendukung yang membahas kecakapan hidup, keterampilan anyaman rotan, dan kemandirian peserta didik. Instrumen penelitian berupa lembar dokumentasi dan analisis literatur yang digunakan untuk mengidentifikasi, mengelompokkan, dan menginterpretasikan data dari berbagai sumber. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa program kecakapan hidup pembuatan anyaman rotan berkontribusi terhadap peningkatan kemandirian peserta didik melalui penguasaan keterampilan vokasional, peningkatan rasa percaya diri, kemampuan memecahkan masalah, serta terbukanya peluang berwirausaha dan memperoleh penghasilan secara mandiri. Selain itu, keterlibatan peserta didik dalam proses produksi anyaman rotan mendorong berkembangnya sikap tanggung jawab, disiplin, dan kreativitas. Dengan demikian, program kecakapan hidup pembuatan anyaman rotan dapat menjadi strategi yang efektif dalam mendukung peningkatan kemandirian peserta didik pada pendidikan nonformal.
