Abstract

Occupational Safety and Health is very important in a company, especially in construction work. The creation of a sense of security and comfort at work is a demand for companies to be able to fulfill it in order to provide work safety guarantees for project workers and employees. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the process of implementing Occupational Safety and Health (K3) to Unloading Equipment Operators at PT. Pelabuhan Indonesia II (Persero) Palembang branch. The study used survey questions and direct interviews in the field, followed by identification of project locations, visual surveys in the project and documentation taking in the field. K3 implementation in the loading and unloading equipment operator at PT. The Port of Indonesia II Palembang has been running quite well because of the management's efforts to implement K3 rules in accordance with PP No. 50 of 2012, namely the loading and unloading operators are required to use personal protective equipment (PPE) and often carried out socialization about OSH. However, there are still loading and unloading operators who seem not to comply with the rules applied by management and even seem unconcerned with Occupational Safety and Health. The results of the questioner stated, 100% (Yes) because management has implemented K3 regulations namely providing personal protective equipment (PPE) ; 98% know what is meant by Occupational Safety and Health; and 100% of workers claim there is a guarantee of Occupational Safety and Health.

Abstract

Losses that arise due to the risk of transporting goods are losses that are often insured as insurance for the transportation of goods, whether carried out by land, sea and air transportation. Various losses may arise from the risk of transporting goods, becoming the object of transportation insurance. Specifically, risks are the possibility of an unwanted event that results in a loss in a certain period of time. The possibility of loss of goods in carrying out the transportation of goods as an object of transportation of goods insurance, cannot be separated from the existence of cause and effect as one of the principles in the agreement including insurance as a special form of agreement that the insurer will provide compensation to the insured due to a loss,

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe and analyze the implementation of policies for the development of Light Rapid Transit (LRT) transportation infrastructure in Palembang City and analyze the factors that hinder the development of Light Rapid Transit (LRT) as mass transportation in Palembang City. The research method uses the constructivism paradigm through qualitative research approaches and types with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation. The main finding in this study is the implementation of light rail transportation infrastructure development policies towards the development of mass transportation in the city of Palembang within the scope of public service standards, there are 6 (six) scopes of public service standards that must be set at least covering the fulfillment of service procedures, completion time, cost services, service products, facilities and infrastructure as well as the competence of service providers, from 6 (six) factors there are 3 (three) factors of which have been fulfilled. The novelty/originality in this study is supported by the latest observational data and studies that support the improvement of the implementation of LRT development policies in realizing the role of mass transportation in Palembang.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to describe and analyze the performance of the Light Rapid Transit (LRT) transportation integration, the South Sumatra LRT case study and the need for mode integration in realizing multimodal transportation. The research method uses the constructivism paradigm through qualitative research approaches and types with data collection techniques through observation, interviews and documentation. The main finding in this study is that the realization of passengers who integrate has decreased significantly due to the covid -19 pandemic with travel restrictions, although not as much as in early 2020 in 2021, passengers who integrate have increased. In 2019 the stations with the most passenger integration were at DJKA and Bumi Sriwijaya stations, in 2020 the most were at DJKA and Ampera stations, while in 2021 the most were at DJKA and Ampera stations. The novelty/originality in this research is supported by the latest observational data and studies that support the integration of Light Rapid Transit (LRT) in realizing the principle of multimodal transportation in South Sumatra.

Abstract

This study was conducted to determine the level of understanding of Palembang Aviation Polytechnic cadets on aviation fire rescue rules and regulations. Aviation fire rescue rules and regulation is one of the courses in the education curriculum of the Diploma III Aviation Fire and Rescue Study Program (PPKP) Palembang Aviation Polytechnic which was obtained in the first semester. The type of research used in this study is a quantitative type with a cross sectional research design. This study aims to see the average difference in the pre-test and post-test scores so that the paired sample t-test analysis test was carried out. The results of the study are expected to measure the level of understanding of cadets on aviation fire rescue regulations through a pre-test as the average basic knowledge of cadets of aviation fire rescue rules and regulations, then intervention through education and training of aviation fire rescue rules and regulations material and a reassessment is carried out to get the average post-test results. So that the success indicator data is obtained through the increase in the results of the pre-test and post-test.

Abstract

As educational institutions, libraries must innovate to provide higher-quality services. Libraries are no longer managed in the traditional way and are beginning to use information technology known as library automation. RFID technology devices are used to carry out the automation circulation service. This study was done to measure user satisfaction with the usage of RFID technology in library services as well as the efficiency of library services in assisting existing educational services. This kind of quantitative research employs observational methods, a descriptive study design, and the distribution of research questionnaires to participants. The usage effectiveness value for the research indicated that the combination of the cadet identification card and the library membership card into a single card was deemed to be effective and efficient at 96%, which was a considerable increase. The adoption of RFID technology has increased circulation service standards, is more flexible than traditional modes, and promotes digital-based libraries, with a level of customer satisfaction with the use of RFID technology devices in circulation services of 97.2%. The high value of effectiveness and user happiness with the application of RFID technology in library services are indicators of success.

Abstract

Game-based learning (GBL) is one of the learning systems that we often encounter among students these days. GBL utilizes games as a tool to achieve learning objectives where the games presented can be digital games, traditional games, or role-playing games. Previous research or relevant research has a crucial role in a research or scientific article. This research is useful to strengthen the theory and understand the relationship or influence between the variables studied. This article reviews the factors that influence Game Based Learning (GBL) in improving students' reasoning skills, namely needs, concepts and learning media in engineering and technology. The purpose of writing this article is to build a hypothesis of the influence between variables to be used in further research. The research methodology used is descriptive qualitative with the results of literature review articles in the form of: 1) needs affect game-based learning (GBL) in improving the reasoning skills of engineering and technology students; 2) concepts affect game-based learning (GBL) in improving the reasoning skills of engineering and technology students; and 3) media affect game-based learning (GBL) in improving the reasoning skills of engineering and technology students. This research is expected to provide a deeper understanding of the important role of reasoning skills in engineering and technology learning, as well as the benefits of GBL to improve these reasoning skills.
