Abstract

The study aims to design and develop a website-based learning medium called FIT-TRACK, which functions as a physical fitness program for PKP-PK personnel at Sultan Mahmud Badaruddin II Airport in Palembang. This website was developed as a solution to the lack of structured fitness programs and digital media that support independent training in the PKP-PK unit. The research method used a Research and Development (R&D) approach with the ADDIE model. Data collection techniques included observation, interviews, and questionnaires. Validation was carried out by two expert validators, namely material experts and media experts, and user feasibility testing was carried out by PKP-PK personnel. The results showed that FIT-TRACK was developed with an interactive and simple design using the Google Sites platform, with features such as: home (beep test, push-ups, sit-ups, planking), weekly schedule, metronome, and fitness assessment. The subject matter expert feasibility test scored 93.66% in the highly feasible category, while the media expert scored 90.65% in the highly feasible category. The respondent feasibility test on 22 PKP-PK personnel scored 60.9% strongly agree and 39.1% agree that the FIT-TRACK website is effective and easy to use. During the evaluation phase, it was recommended to develop the metronome feature and additional materials in accordance with NFPA 1583 standards. The success of the FIT-TRACK website has the potential to become a structured, flexible fitness program that supports personnel's physical readiness for emergency tasks.

Abstract

This research investigates the potential impact of implementing STEM learning with a scientific approach to improve critical thinking, creative thinking, and learning outcomes for Aviation Rescue and Firefighting cadets in the first aid course. Data analysis was performed using quantitative experimental and correlation analysis. The data was processed using IBM SPSS software with the Manova test, n-gain score, and correlation test. The sample in this research consisted of 45 cadets. The results of the MANOVA test show a significance value of 0.032 < 0.05, so the null hypothesis is rejected, and the alternative hypothesis is accepted. The n-gain scores of critical thinking show sixteen with medium criteria and seven with high criteria. The n-gain scores of creative thinking show seventeen with medium criteria and six with high criteria. The n-gain scores of learning outcomes show fifteen with medium criteria and eight with high criteria. The significance value of the correlation test is 0.000 < 0.05, so the null hypothesis is rejected, and the alternative hypothesis is accepted. This research concludes that STEM learning with a scientific approach influences critical thinking, creative thinking, and learning outcomes in the First Aid course. There is a correlation between STEM learning with a scientific approach and critical thinking, creative thinking, and learning outcomes in the first aid course.

Abstract

This study uses the weighting approach to evaluate decision-making strategies in order to rank the importance of the traits that a leader must have in order for the Cadet Regiment Commander to create a transformational leadership model. A decision support system's weighted sum or simple weighting method can be applied to issue solving through the use of Simple Additive Weighting (SAW). This kind of research is called mixed method, since it uses a survey methodology along with qualitative and descriptive quantitative research methods. The author, who is actively engaged in the research, is the research instrument in and of himself. The purpose of this study is to determine the respondents by means of a purposive technique, in which information for research objectives will only come from specific individuals or parties. The study's findings should determine which leader qualities are most important for creating a transformational leadership model. This will be done by applying the SAW method, which is based on five weighting criteria for transformational leadership: motivation and traits, knowledge, skills, and abilities, organizational culture, vision, and vision implementation. Of the five characteristics of the leader, motivation and traits are the criteria that are the top priority to be developed based on the respondents' assessment with a value of 22.3%. Where a leader must have the ability to achieve, ambition, persistence, passion, initiative, have leadership motivation and have the values of honesty/integrity, confidence, originality, creativity and flexibility/adaptability needed to set an example, encourage and motivate other cadets towards achieving the vision of the organization. Followed by weighting on other criteria such as knowledge, skills, and abilities at 20.5%, organizational culture at 18.8%, vision at 19.5%, and vision implementation at 18.9%.

Abstract

This study explores the use of a Decision Support System (DSS) to enhance Incident Commander (IC) leadership in airport emergency scenarios. Effective IC leadership is crucial in airport emergency management, requiring a diverse skill set. We investigate competencies related to command, operations, planning, logistics, administration, and customer service. Using a mixed-methods approach, we conducted a descriptive case study at Palembang Aviation Polytechnic. Primary data, including observations, interviews, and questionnaires, along with secondary data from internal documents, guided our research. Purposive sampling selected participants from faculty, Diploma Three Program trainees, and airport practitioners. Our findings highlight customer service as a leading criterion, followed by others, with logistics criteria being essential. This study contributes novel insights to airport emergency management by enhancing IC proficiency and emphasizing interconnected emergency management facets. It underscores the ethical imperative of IC leadership development, promoting safety and effectiveness in airport emergency response services.
