Abstract

Background: Switch on. Adolescence is also a critical period that must be properly addressed and addressed by adolescents. Changes in body shape, especially in the reproductive organs, invite many questions from adolescents, such as the presence of bleeding from the vagina for the first time (menarche), the first wet dream in boys (semenarche). Teenagers must be prepared to face puberty with various changes and the first experiences that occur. Teenagers need information that can solve the problems they face. Health education about sexual and reproductive health is very important to do, as an effort to increase knowledge in dealing with puberty. The sexual and reproductive health education program for adolescents in facing puberty is one solution that can be done to increase students' knowledge in facing puberty. This activity aims to increase adolescents' knowledge about puberty and maintenance of the reproductive organs as well as to form positive attitudes and behaviors in adolescents. Method: Providing health education to 120 grade 7 students in stages using podcast media, distributing leaflets and posters. Evaluate activities by measuring pre-test and post-test scores. Results: There was a significant difference in knowledge from before and after the program was implemented with a value of p = 0.000 (p <0.01) with a mean pretest score of 3.43 ± SD 2.36 and a mean posttest score of 7.26 ± SD 1.79. The mean difference is 3.83±SD 2.57. Conclusion: Sexual and reproductive health education is proven to increase students' knowledge in dealing with puberty and care for reproductive organs.

Abstract

The rising need for animal-derived protein has contributed to the extensive rearing of ruminant animals such as goats (Capra aegagrus hircus) and cattle (Bos spp.) across Indonesia. East Java Province is among the key regions that supply livestock products including meat, eggs, and various other animal-based commodities. However, with the growth of ruminant livestock farming comes an increased risk of infectious diseases, including anthrax. Anthrax is an illness caused by Bacillus anthracis, a zoonotic pathogen capable of infecting both domestic and wild animals especially herbivores like cattle, sheep, goats, and some bird species-and it can also pose a threat to humans. Hence, consistent efforts in disease prevention and control are vital to safeguard livestock from such infections. This research was conducted to assess whether anthrax infection was present in ruminant blood samples analyzed at the Veterinary Health Laboratory Unit (UPT) of the East Java Provincial Livestock Service located in Tuban, utilizing the blood smear testing method. Laboratory examination of ruminant blood samples submitted to the UPT Veterinary Health Laboratory in Tuban during November 2024 indicated that all samples tested negative for anthrax Keywords: Ruminants, Anthrax, Blood Smear Test

Abstract

The Merdeka Curriculum emphasizes student-focused learning, where student involvement in every stage of learning is the main thing. This study aims to describe the development of science process skills and students' responses to the applied learning methods. The method used in this study is quantitative descriptive with a pre-experimental research design, especially one group pretest posttest design, which involves one class, namely class VIII-B consisting of 24 students. Data was collected through two techniques, namely tests and questionnaires. The results showed that the application of the guided inquiry learning model during the three meetings succeeded in improving science process skills. The average percentage of post-test scores reached 96.04%, while the N-Gain score obtained was 1, indicating a high category. This shows a significant improvement in students' science process skills. The students' response to learning with a guided inquiry model on vibration and wave materials in class VIII-B SMP Labschool Unesa 2 reached 97.74%, which was categorized as very good. Thus, it can be concluded that the inquiry learning model guided on vibration and wave materials is effective in improving students' science process skills. Abstract

The process of composting inked waste paper can be done because inked waste paper contains organic material in the form of cellulose, hemicellulose, lignin and ash compounds. But unlike other organic materials inked used paper has undergone various chemical processes in its manufacture so it needs to be done soaking treatment in advance to reduce the content of various chemicals. In this case inked scrap paper is soaked with distilled water added with activated charcoal, corn cobs charcoal, PGPR and rumen liquid. The PGPR was then added to a phosphate buffer of pH 7 and incubated for 7 days at room temperature without exposure to sunlight. Rumen fluid is taken at the Jenu Slaughterhouse in Tuban Regency, this liquid is taken directly after the cow is slaughtered and put into a flask then phosphate buffer pH 7 is added and incubated for 7 days at room temperature and not exposed to sunlight. Provision of activated charcoal, corn cobs charcoal and PGPR can be done in the process of precomposting inked waste paper with a cow rumen liquid starter without causing pH and temperature fluctuations. Abstract

This study aimed to investigate the impact of implementing the Project-Based Learning (PjBL) approach on enhancing descriptive writing skills among tenth-grade students in the context of SMAN 1 Baros. Employing a quantitative methodology, the research adopted a pre-experimental design, specifically the Static Group Comparison Design. The sample comprised classes selected through cluster random sampling techniques, each with 30 students. The experimental group received instruction using the PjBL model, whereas the control class was taught through conventional instructional methods. Data were collected using a descriptive writing test validated by certified English teachers and assessed for internal consistency using Cronbach’s Alpha coefficient. Descriptive statistical results showed that the experimental group achieved higher post-test scores (M = 77.17; SD = 3.49) than the control group (M = 65.97; SD = 3.01). Tests of normality and homogeneity confirmed that the dataset met the assumptions necessary for parametric statistical analysis. Furthermore, an Independent Samples T-Test revealed a meaningful statistical distinction between the experimental and control groups (t = 13.298; p < 0.001), with a mean score difference of 11.20 points. These findings highlight the significant and positive effect of the PjBL model in improving students’ proficiency in writing descriptive texts and underscore its superiority over traditional teaching approaches in this educational setting.

Abstract

Aircraft accidents show that the industry is vulnerable to crisis and capture the complexity of crisis management and communication. This study examines the crisis response strategies employed by Sriwijaya Air in the aftermath of the SJ-182 plane crash on January 9, 2021. Utilizing the Situational Crisis Communication Theory (SCCT) framework, the research categorizes and analyzes the airline's crisis communication actions based on primary and secondary strategies. The content analysis of news articles from Kompas.com, Detik.com, CNN Indonesia, and Reuters, as well as posts from Sriwijaya Air's social media accounts, reveals the implementation of excuse, compensation, partial apology, and ingratiation strategies. The findings indicate that while Sriwijaya Air avoided denial strategies, its delayed response negatively impacted public perception. The study highlights the importance of prompt and transparent communication in crisis management. It suggests areas for future research, including examining internal decision-making processes and the long-term impacts on organizational reputation and resilience.
