Abstract

Pemahaman membaca merupakan keterampilan yang sangat penting bagi siswa. Namun, hasil survei PISA tahun 2018 bahwa kemampuan membaca siswa Indonesia masih rendah dibandingkan rata-rata OECD. Salah satu penyebabnya yaitu kurangnya pembelajaran literasi yang bermakna dan tersituasi. Maka, perlu dikembangkan model yang efektif untuk pembelajaran keterampilan membaca pemahaman. Artikel ini menjelaskan pengembangan keterampilan membaca pemahaman siswa menggunakan metode pembelajaran berbasis masalah (PBL) berbasis teknologi. Tujuannya adalah untuk memahami pentingnya keterampilan membaca pemahaman dan PBL, bagaimana PBL dapat digunakan untuk mengembangkan keterampilan membaca pemahaman, serta manfaat dan tantangan penerapan PBL. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa PBL dapat meningkatkan aktivitas dan kreativitas siswa dalam pemecahan masalah melalui proses membaca dan menulis. Namun untuk mencapai tujuan pembelajaran literasi, pelaksanaannya harus didukung oleh kurikulum dan fasilitas yang sesuai. Maka, penggunaan PBL dinilai dapat menjadi alternatif yang efektif untuk meningkatkan kemampuan literasi siswa. Kata kunci: literasi, PBL, membaca, teknologi.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the application of the Discovery Learning method in learning Indonesian at the high school level. The method used is a literature study by analyzing various current sources that discuss the effectiveness of this method. The results of the study indicate that the Discovery Learning method is able to increase student engagement, critical thinking skills, and creativity in understanding Indonesian language materials. Students are encouraged to actively find concepts through independent exploration, which results in deeper and more sustainable understanding. However, this study also identifies challenges faced, such as variations in student abilities and teacher readiness in managing the class. Thus, this study provides insight for educators to design more inclusive and effective learning strategies, and contributes to the development of science in the field of Indonesian Language and Literature Education. It is hoped that the results of this study can be a reference for educators and researchers in implementing more innovative methods in the learning process. Abstract

The rapid development of artificial intelligence (AI) is beginning to be utilized in the field of education. One AI platform that has the potential to support Indonesian language learning is ChatGPT. The purpose of this study is to examine the role, opportunities, and challenges of utilizing ChatGPT in Indonesian language learning in the digital era. This study uses a qualitative method with a descriptive analysis approach. The data in this study are written excerpts containing information about the role, opportunities, and challenges of using AI in learning. The data sources for this study are books, Sinta-indexed articles, and articles in national journals related to the use of AI. The data collection technique in this study used a literature review. Meanwhile, the data analysis technique used three main stages: data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The validity of the research data used source triangulation. The results of this study indicate that ChatGPT has a role as an interactive media, a digital learning assistant, and a tool for developing language skills. In addition, ChatGPT has the potential to support personalized learning, improve digital literacy, support flexible learning, and lighten the workload of teachers. Despite its potential and potential, ChatGPT also faces challenges in its implementation, including dependence on technology, academic ethics, access gaps, and issues of information validity. Therefore, ChatGPT must be used wisely, ethically, and responsibly.

Abstract

The development of digital media has created new forms of communication that enable people to openly convey information, ideas, and opinions through various platforms, one of which is podcasts. Opinions in digital media serve as a means of expressing perspectives, criticism, and evaluations of social phenomena, thereby influencing public perceptions. This study aims to describe the forms of illocutionary speech acts and the functions of opinions in the Close The Door podcast featuring Deddy Corbuzier and Dedi Mulyadi. The research employed a qualitative approach using content analysis methods. The data consisted of utterances in the podcast, which were transcribed into written form. Data collection techniques included observation, documentation, and note-taking, while data analysis was conducted through data reduction, classification, interpretation, and conclusion drawing. The findings revealed 70 illocutionary speech act data consisting of assertive, directive, commissive, and expressive acts, while declarative acts were not found. Assertive speech acts were the most dominant type, with 45 data points or 64.3%. This dominance indicates that conversations in the podcast are primarily used to express opinions, social criticism, arguments, and perspectives on various social phenomena. Speakers’ opinions are manifested through assertive speech acts aimed at convincing the audience of the views and beliefs conveyed. The findings show that language in podcasts functions not only as a communication tool but also as a medium for shaping public opinion and influencing people’s ways of thinking.

Abstract

This research explores the concept of historical glocalization in the context of the Sewawar Waterfall folktale and its impact on character education values in local communities. Folktale is certainly an important part of a society's cultural heritage and often reflects the values cherished by that society. This research analyzes character education values such as religious values, honesty, tolerance, love of peace, social care and environmental care reflected in the folktale of Sewawar Waterfall, as well as how these values experience a historical glocalization process in the context of local culture and history. This type of research uses descriptive qualitative with an ethnographic approach. Data was collected through interviews with local community leaders, cultural figures, Kuncen, and local historical documentation studies. The research results show that the character education values in these folktales have undergone significant adaptation according to the historical and cultural context of local communities, creating a unique form of historical glocalization phenomenon. The implication of this research is a deeper understanding of how character education values have played a role in shaping the cultural and moral identity of local communities, as well as their relevance in the current global character education context.
