Abstract

The purpose of this research was to determine the position of a product and attribute of cassava chips in the market, such as cassava chips Ojo Lali, Dolphins, Grace, Leni Snacks, Qtela, Kingkong, and Primadona. It aims to determine the level of consumer preference towards a product. Besides there was still a lack of effort in developing the product by the manufacturer at this time. This research was conducted by using internal and external preference mapping among seven different brand of cassava chips products. Sensory analysis used was hedonic test and descriptive test involving Riau University students as respondents. The results of hedonic test were  analyzed using Agglomerative Hierarchical Clustering (AHC) and the results of the  descriptive test  were analyzed using  Principal Component Analysis (PCA). The sensory attributes used on the product chips were color, greasy, sweetness, bitter, salty, crunchy, brittle, thickness, taste cassava,and rancidity.  The conclusion of this results was product Qtela chips and  Leni Snacks.   keyword: Original cassava chips, preference mapping

Abstract

This research is aimed to find out the effect of yellow pumpkin flour addition toward the content of the nutrition in Sago Chips. From consumers’ point of view, the writer knew that there is the characteristic of censor attribute to the four treatments of sago chips product. This experimental research used Comprehensive Random Program with four treatments and four times tests such as KL1 (100% of sago extract and 0% yellowpumpkin flour), KL2(90% of sago extract and 10% yellowpumpkin flour), KL3(80% of sago extract and 20% yellowpumpkin flour) and KL4(70% of sago extract and 30% yellowpumpkin flour). The data was analyzed statistically by using ANOVA. If F arithmetic were bigger than or as same as F table so the analyze will be continue by using Duncan’s New Multiple Range Test in 5% level. The result of water level was 2.10-4.33%, the dust level was 20.19%-23.89% and the breed capacity was 38.92%-67.80% with unknown quality standard. Consumers’ fondness level toward Sago Chips based on preference mapping were KL1 (100% of sago extract and 0% yellow pumpkin flour) and KL2 (90% of sago extract and 10% yellowpumpkin flour) with had attributes qualitylike sago taste, sago aroma, yellow color and crispy. In the other side, the level of disfavor was KL4 (70% of sago extract and 30% yellowpumpkin flour), the chips from Air Tiris Market, which had attributes quality like garlic taste, garlic, and pumpkin aroma. Keywords: Sago chips, sago extract, yellow pumpkin flour, preference      mapping

Abstract

This study was conducted to determine the optimization of bioethanol production by fermentation techniques VHGF with free cell system to see the effect of combined treatment of unsaturated lipid concentrations (0.2% Tween80. And Ergoterol) the increase in bioethanol. This research was carried out experiments with four treatments and measurements in duplicate. The combination of ergosterol levels namely E0 (0 mg / l), E1 (18 mg / l), E2 (24 mg / l) and E3 (30 mg / l). Observations were made every 24 hours; include sugar, ethanol, cell number, and pH. Data were analyzed descriptively by using a tabular or graphical. The best treatment is a combination of E1 (0.2% Tween80 and ergosterol 18 mg / l), which produces the largest ethanol 17.57%. Abstract

The purpose of this research was to get the best of microalgae (Chlorella sp.) symbiosis with variation of Agrobost to decreasing  pollution level of palm oil mill effluent (POME) according to standard quality.  This research used a completely randomized design (CRD) with 5 treatments and 3 replications.  The  treatments  in this addition was microalgae Chlorella sp. as much 800 ml/L (Abundance of cells 6,3 x 106 cell/ml) of POME with some variations concentrations of Agrobost (0%, 1%, 2%, 3%, and 4%).  The data obtained were analyzed statistically using ANOVA and DNMRT at 5% level.  The result showed that the addition of Agrobost had significant affect for DO, Nitrate, and Phosphate.  The treatment chosen from the result of this research was the P4treatment showed the highest level of reduction which had the value of Phospate of 61,05%, Nitrate of 77,63%, and increases in the DO of 564,49%. Keywords: Palm oil mill effluent, microalgae Chlorella sp., Agrobost.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to knowing consumer interest level and attribute performance of marketing by using Importance-Performance Analysis (IPA) and to knowing consumer tendency base on consumer interest level and attribute performance of Pisang Goreng Kipas Kuantan-II. The data have been collected by share the question paper to the consumer in Pisang Goreng Kipas Kuantan-II market. Sample method in this research using convenience sampling, which do the sampling base on consumer permission to become participate. This research using a simple descriptive tabulation frequency analyse, Importance-Performance Analysis (IPA) and Multiatribute Fishbein method. The attribute which has interest level on average value that is package, taste, shop nametag, comfortable, mark, scent, nutrient contain, park area, and product availability with consumer interest value 5,65. The attribute which has performance attribute on average that is taste, mark, package, shop nametag, stoco limit, price, mature level around 5,53. The attribute which need to maintan base on Importance-Performance Analysis (IPA) is in Kuadran II that is taste , scent, package, mark, shop nametag, but the attribute which need to repair is in Kuadran I that is product availability, nutrient contain, park area, and comfortable. Consumer respon which analyse by using Fishbein attribute 562,29 which place on between scale good and very good. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merumuskan strategi pemasaran dodol buah di Kabupaten Siak. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode survei. Pemilihan responden pada penelitian ini dilakukan secara sengaja (purposive sampling). Penentuan responden berdasarkan kepakaran dan perannya dalam pengambilan kebijakan yang berkaitan dengan agroindustri dodol buah. Analisis data menggunakan analisis Multidimensional Scaling (Mds), prospektif dan Analitic Hierarchi Process /AHP. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa faktor penentu pengelolaan bauran pemasaran dodol buah terdiri atas; dimensi produk, harga, promosi, dan distribusi. Atribut pengungkit dalam pengelolaan bauran pemasaran dodol buah di Kabupaten Siak diperoleh bahwa tipe sebaran cenderung mengumpul di kuadran I dan kuadran III. Strategi pemasaran dodol buah di Kabupaten Siak kegiatan promosi terdiri dari semua kegiatan pemasaran yang mencoba terjadinya aksi pembelian suatu produk yang cepat atau terjadinya pembelian dalam waktu yang singkat.

Abstract

Biological processing liquid sago waste is carried out by utilizing microlagae which are symbiotic with decomposer bacteria. The aim of this research was to get chosen treatment of microalgae Chlorella sp. as a reducing BOD, COD and Oil content in Palm Oil Mill Effluent with symbiotic mutualism between microalgae Chorella sp and Agrobost. This research used a Complete Randomized Design (CRD) with treatment 5 times and replication 3 times. This research was microalgae 800 ml/L (with abundance 6.883.000 cell/ml) in 6000 ml of total treatment solution with 5 treatments of Agrobost (0% v/v, 4% v/v, 8% v/v, 12% v/v, and 16% v/v). Data processing using ANOVA and DNRT 5%, the results showed that the concentration of Agrobost had significant affects for BOD, COD, oil and pH. The chosen treatment from the result of this research was 16% v/v which had the value BOD 89.10 mg/L, COD 297.67 mg/L, oil 2.85 mg/L, and pH 9.05.

Abstract

Biodisel methyl ester research has been used waste cooking oil and methanol with ash replenishment as acatalyst.This research was doing to saw the effect of catalyst concentration on biodiesel from used cookingoil. The research used a Completely Randomized Design with five treatments is M1 (catalyst 2 g), M2 (catalyst4 g), M3 (catalyst 6 g), M4 (catalyst 8 g) and M5 (catalyst 10 g) withing three replications. The data wereanalyzed using Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) and continued with DNMRT at 5% level. The research resultshas showed that the addition of a catalyst concentration of ash significantly (P<0,05) affected on the acidnumber, total glycerol content, density, saponification number, viscosity, iodin number, flash point and levelmethlyl ester, but did not significantly influence (P>0,05) on the water content. The best treatment is M5 withacid number 0,71 mg KOH/g, total glycerol content of 0,01%, density 0,88 g/cm3, viscosity of 47,94 cSt, iodinnumber 66,83 gI2/100, water content of 0,06%, flash point 249,33°C, saponification number154,84 mg KOH/g and levels of methyl ester 99,5%.

Abstract

ABSTRACTThis research aims to identify liquid smoke from young coconut fiber which containmuch water is differentfrom the others. This research was undertaken on these days in an experiment with using a Complete RandomDesign with five treatment three times repetition. Inhumanity in this research on KA1 (the level of water70%), KA2 (60%) the level of water, KA3 (the level of water 40%) KA4 (the level of water 30%) KA5 (the levelof water 20%). Parameter that observed is yield (chemistry), degrees acidity (pH), total amino tertitrasi,phenol levels, as well as the weight of. Data that was recieved by analyzed in statistics with is trial Anova. IfF count more than or equal to F table then continued with test DNMRT on a 5 percent. Results of the studyshowed that pyrolysis of young coconut fiber with the level of water 20% produce liquid smoke withcharacteristic yield (chemistry) 9.06%, the pH 2.6, the total amino 5.2%, the proportion phenol 0.660%, andthe weight of 1.009.Key words: liquid smoke, pyrolysis, young coconut fiber.

Abstract

ABSTRACTThe aim of this research was to get the optimum concentrations of NaOH as an alternative anticoagulant oflatex. This research was conducted at Laboratory of PT. Andalas Agrolestari, Kuantan Singingi on July toDecember 2014. This research used a completely randomized design (CRD) with two steps. The first step wasto know the ability of NaOH to latex stabilities and step II was to saw the ability of format acid for latexclumed after anticoagulant came in. Data obtained were treated by the analysis of variance (ANOVA) followedby Duncan’s NewMultiple Range Test (DNMRT) the level of 5%. The results showed that optimumconcentration NaOH was addition NaOH 5%. The addition of NaOH 5% had significant effect on theanticoagulant retention time, coagulant retention time, pH, ash content, volatile substance content, Po valueand PRI value, but had not significant effect on the dry rubber content and dirt content.Key words: Anticoagulant, coagulant, latex.
