Abstract

Reading literacy is a prerequisite for achieving 21st century skills. To measure students' reading literacy skills, the Indonesian Ministry of Education and Culture released a Minimum Competency Assessment program known as AKM. This study aims to develop a reading literacy test instrument refers on Problem-Based biology learning for high school students. The test was developed using references from the AKM test model. The type of research used is Research and Development (R&D) with a 4-D model. In this study, the data collected were qualitative data and quantitative data. The qualitative data is the design result of a reading literacy test. The quantitative data includes the validity of the content of the instrument, the characteristics of the question items, the implementation of Problem-Based biology learning, and the level of student literacy ability. The data is analyzed descriptively using a variety of appropriate criteria according to the type of data collected. The reading literacy ability test refers on Problem-Based biology learning contains questions in the form of multiple choice (6 items), complex multiple choice (12 items), matching (3 items), short answer question (2 items) and essay (7 items). The question items are arranged with the content of the informational text and the context of the scientific text on the excretory system material. The validity rate is very valid (93.14%). The test questions have a "medium" difficulty level with a P value of 0.671. The differentiating index of the question item is included in the "good" criteria with a value of Rpbis 0.380. The reliability of the question item is very high (Alpha 0.854). The functioning of the choices is categorized as good. The percentage of implementation the Problem-Based biology learning is very high (100%). The reading literacy level of class XI students of Godong 1 Public SHS is dominated by the proficient level (54%) while class XI students of Semarang 12 Public SHS are dominated by an advanced level (46%). Based on the results of the research, it can be concluded that the reading literacy test refers on Problem-Based biology learning developed is very valid to be used in measuring high school students' literacy ability.

Abstract

Department of Biology, State University of Semarang (Unnes) is beeing committed to implement competency and conservation-based curriculum since the academic year 2012/2013. Character of the conservation values inculcated through integration in the learning process. This research problem is how to develop conservation based character education values. This research aims to generate value conservation character based learning of General Biology with a exploring environment (JAS) strategy. The research methodology uses a qualitative approach. As informants are faculty and students who teach and learn using competency and conservation-based curriculum for General Biology subjects. Data obtained in the form of descriptions of learning activities and interviews with informants. The data were analyzed later narrated. The results show the development of conservation-based character education values can begin of simple things that happen in the process of active and effective learning. Furthermore, teachers can pull things demonstrated by cognitive, affective and behavioral students of both positive and negative to the corresponding construct ten conservation value of character education.

Abstract

The academic purpose of kindergarten differs from any other academic puposes of schools. This fact implies differences in both learning process and evaluation. In kindergarten, the learning is thematic, and the evaluation is meant to know the students’ development. In schools, learning in each subject of study is independent, and the evaluation is to know how far the competence each student reaches. In addition, the difference causes to task of kindergarten teacher. So to evaluate kindergarten teacher needs special instrument of teacher’s performance appraisal which differs from any instruments related to teacher appraisals. This research is to formulate kindergarten teacher performance appraisal instrument (KTPAI). This research takes place in Surakarta which involve supervisor, headmaster, and teacher of kindergarten. Data evaluation of factual KTPAI and need asessment of KTPAI are compiled by supervisor and headmaster of kindergarten. The result of this research insists to develop factual KTPAI. Developed KTPAI is differences from factual KTPAI. The differences are: (a) comprehensive competence appraised, (b) distinctness in appraisal procedur and describer of each indicator, (c) compability of instrument with the kindergarten teacher’s task , (d) cohesiveness dan transparency in result of appraisal, and (e) certainty of appraisal result status, and follow up planning.

Abstract

AbstrakPembelajaran melibatkan interaksi dosen, mahasiswa, dan sumber belajar. Interaksi antara ketiganya membutuhkan strategi pembelajaran. Penelitian ini bertujuan menghasilkan strategi pembelajaran biologi di Jurusan Biologi Unnes yang telah berkomitmen mengaplikasikan kurikulum berbasis kompetensi dan konservasi dengan ciri pendekatan jelajah alam sekitar (JAS). Metodologi penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif. Informannya dosen dan mahasiswa yang mengajar dan belajar biologi umum, mikrobiologi, dan taksonomi hewan. Data yang diperoleh berupa deskripsi kegiatan belajar mengajar dan lesson study.  Data-data dianalisis kemudian dinarasikan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan pembelajaran biologi dengan pendekatan berpusat pada siswa yang dikhususkan pada kegiatan penjelajahan alam sekitar dapat dilakukan menggunakan strategi yang berbasis pada cara belajar siswa aktif dan kooperatif. Strategi-strategi tersebut adalah pembelajaran kontekstual, pembelajaran partisipatif, dan pembelajaran inkuiri. AbstractLearning involves the interaction of lecturer, students, and learning resources. The interaction between them requires a learning strategy. This research aims to generate learning strategies of biology in the Department of Biology Unnes which has committed to apply the competence- and conservation-based curriculum of features the environmental exploration (JAS) approach. The research methodology uses a qualitative approach. The informants are the faculty members and the students who, respectively, teach and learn biology, microbiology, and animal taxonomy subjects. The data obtained were in the form of description of learning activities and lesson studies. The data were then analyzed narratively. The results showed that the student-centered learning of environmental exploration may be conducted using active- and cooperative-based strategies. Examples of these strategies are contextual learning, participatory learning, and inquiry learning.

Abstract

The aim of this study is to determine the effect of implementing the results of digital comic development in improving the information technology literacy skill of fourth grade elementary school students. This study used RnD method with the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation and Evaluation). The research subject was fourth grade students at Kuranji State Elementary School, Cirebon City. Furthermore, the data collection technique was the media expert, linguist, material expert validation questionnaire, test techniques and student responses. Aiken's validity results show the lowest index results from media experts, language experts and material experts of 0.67 and the highest index is 1. Furthermore, the results show that the student test instrument variables are declared reliable based on Cronbach's Alpha reliability calculations that is 0.937 with very high criteria. The Pearson Product Moment correlation coefficient value between the implementation of digital comic development results and students' information technology literacy skills is 0.693. Digital comics affect students' technological literacy skills 48.0%. Moreover, the average percentage of student responses to the implementation of digital comic development in energy sources science learning materials for class IV elementary schools is 94.4% with very high criteria. Digital comic media is feasible, and it has a significant effect on increasing the information technology literacy skills of fourth grade elementary school students.

Abstract

The research aims to analyze student learning outcomes, analyze student activities, analyze student responses and analyze teacher responses with a constructivist approach to discovery learning models. The form of research is pre experimental design, pre test-post test control group design. The population in this study were all junior high students of class VII even semester of SMP N 1 Brangsong, while the research sample was class VIIA and VIIB. Learning outcomes were analyzed using the t-test, while student activities, student responses and teacher responses were analyzed descriptively. The results showed that the gainscore of the experimental class was 31.54 while that of the control class was 25.92, while the significant value of the T-test was 0.000, the activity of the experimental class students was 93.6%, the student response was 89.69% positive while 10.31% was negative and the teacher's response was 85. 7% strongly agree. The conclusion of this study is that the results of student learning on ecology and biodiversity with a constructivist approach to the discovery learning model are better than the control class, the material for ecology and biodiversity with a constructivism approach, the discovery learning model makes students more active, students' responses Ecology and biodiversity material using a constructivist approach to the discovery learning model is positive and the teacher's response to the material on ecology and biodiversity using a constructivist approach to discovery learning model is positive, so it is very agreeable to be applied.

Abstract

Invertebrate learning should present real objects of observation in the classroom or laboratory. The average learning outcomes of class X students of Senior high school (SMA MIPA) in the 2021/2022 academic year for Invertebrates material is 68 and only 38% achieve KKM or minimum completeness criteria is 70. The value of attitudes and skills of students is also not optimal. The purpose of this study was to analyze the characteristics, validity, practicality, and effectiveness of documentary video learning media on invertebrate material at SMA Negeri 1 Pulokulon, Grobogan Regency. This research is research and development (R&D). Documentary videos are validated by experts and practitioners. Practicality is determined by the responses of students and teachers. The effectiveness of video documentaries was tested with the Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design. Data on attitudes and skills of students were observed by providing an assessment with a rating scale and then an independent t test was carried out. Classical completeness was analyzed by descriptive percentage. the independent t test was used to test whether there was a difference in the posttest mean between the experimental group and the control class. The results showed that the Invertebrates video material was prepared by considering format, content, language, and media engineering aspects, so that it spurred students in discovery learning activities, namely: identifying problems, observing, collecting data, compiling data, communicating, and concluding. The learning device in the form of documentary video learning media on invertebrate material is declared valid in the very good category. Documentary video learning media on Invertebrates material are stated to be practical. with very positive criteria. Documentary videos on Invertebrates are effective on cognitive learning outcomes, attitudes, and process skills.

Abstract

Pelaksanaan perkuliahan pembelajaran IPA di SD dilakukan dengan model pembelajaran berbasis proyek (project based learning) untuk melatih kemampuan berpikir tingkat tinggi dan literasi sains yang menjadi ciri pembelajaran abad 21. Untuk mengetahui tercapai tidaknya capaian pembelajaran mata kuliah Pembelajaran IPA di SD pada Prodi PGSD FIP Universitas PGRI Semarang maka dilakukan evaluasi pelaksanaan pembelajaran menggunakan Model Countenance Stake. Evaluasi berdasar pada Permendikbud no 3 tahun 2020 tentang standar nasional pendidikan tinggi pasal 12 ayat 2. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kuantitatif dengan analisis proses evaluasi yang menekankan pada dua jenis tahapan yaitu deskripsi (descriptions) dan pertimbangan (judgments) serta membedakan tiga fase dalam evaluasi program yaitu: (1) persiapan (antecedents), (2) transaksi, dan (3) outcome dari program ini yakni hasil belajar mahasiswa. Hasil evaluasi perkuliahan pembelajaran IPA SD dengan Project Based Learning menggunakan Model Countanance Stake menunjukkan bahwa persiapan perkuliahan pembelajaran IPA di SD dengan model project based learning ditunjukkan dengan ketercapaian RPS yang dibuat mencapai 77,77% pada kategori baik. Proses pelaksanaan perkuliahan pembelajaran IPA di SD dengan model project based learning ditunjukkan dengan ketercapaian prinsip Student Centered Learning (SCL) dalam proses pembelajaran mencapai 80% pada kategori baik. Hasil belajar mahasiswa pada perkuliahan pembelajaran IPA di SD dengan model project based learning ditunjukkan dengan ketercapaian hasil belajar mahasiswa dari ke tiga aspek (pengetahuan, sikap, maupun keterampilan) telah memenuhi memenuhi kriteria sangat baik, antara sangat baik dan baik dan baik sebesar lebih dari 75%. Persiapan perkuliahan pembelajaran IPA di SD dapat diperhatikan terkait kelengkapan dan kejelasan sintaks model project based learning, serta pengintegrasian STEAM dan TPACK dalam pembelajaran. Selain berpusat pada mahasiswa, pada perkuliahan pembelajaran IPA di SD juga diharapkan memenuhi karakteristik proses pembelajaran sebagaimana dimaksud dalam Pasal 10 ayat (2) yang terdiri dari interaktif, holistik, integratif, saintifik, kontekstual, tematik, efektif, dan kolaboratif. Dosen dapat mengintegrasikan pendekatan pembelajaran dan penilaian yang dapat melatih keterampilan berpikir tingkat tinggi serta literasi sains mahasiswa.

Abstract

Argumentasi ilmiah merupakan keterampilan penting yang perlu dimiliki oleh guru. Perkembangan teknologi informasi dan komunikasi memberi ruang dalam berkolaborasi. Salah satunya menggunakan Trello. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui bagaimana pemanfaatan Trello sebagai ruang maya untuk membangun argumentasi ilmiah kolaboratif pada pelatihan guru Fisika. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kualitatif. Subjek penelitian adalah 35 guru Fisika MA yang mengikuti pelatihan jarak jauh secara daring khususnya mata pelatihan Termodinamika. Data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah catatan aktivitas (log activity) pada aplikasi Trello. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa platform Trello dapat digunakan sebagai ruang maya argumentasi ilmiah kolaboratif khususya pelatihan guru fisika. Tahapan penggunaan Trello dalam membangun argumentasi ilmiah kolaboratif dimulai dari stimulasi permasalahan, klaim setiap kelompok, pencarian bukti, melakukan gradasi bukti serta penalaran kelompok.

Abstract

Matematika memiliki susunan materi yang sistematis sehingga penguasaan materi prasyarat mendukung siswa memahami materi selanjutnya. Penilaian penguasaan materi prasyarat membutuhkan instrumen penilaian. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui bagaimana instrumen yang digunakan untuk menilai penguasaan materi prasyarat dan bagaimana tindak lanjut dari hasil penilaian. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dalam mengkaji artikel jurnal tahun 2021 hingga 2023. Terdapat empat artikel jurnal yang dianalisis dan disajikan dalam bentuk deskriptif. Keempat artikel dipilih dengan kritera terdapat pembahasan penilaian penguasaan materi prasyarat matematika di tingkat Sekolah Dasar. Hasil kajian menunjukkan: 1) instrumen penilaian penguasaan materi prasyarat matematika disusun dalam bentuk tes uraian dengan jumlah butir soal yang tidak banyak berdasarkan materi prasyarat yang telah diidentifikasi; 2) alat tes dibuktikan validitas isinya oleh pakar dan digunakan sebelum memulai pembelajaran; 3) penguasaan materi prasyarat dinilai dari kesalahan jawaban siswa; 4) tindak lanjut dari penilaian penguasaan materi prasyarat adalah merancang kegiatan belajar yang dimulai dengan pembahasan dan penguatan materi prasyarat. Hasil penelitian diharapkan dapat menjadi literatur pendukung dalam pengembangan alat tes penguasaan materi prasyarat matematika.
