Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk memperoleh deskripsi hasil analisis pemecahan masalah luas permukaan dan volume balok siswa kelas VIII SMPN 1 Palu berdasarkan tahapan Polya ditinjau dari kecerdasan visual spasial dan kecerdasan logis matematis. Subjek penelitian ini adalah satu siswa yang memiliki kecerdasan visual spasial dan satu siswa yang memiliki kecerdasan logis matematis. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa siswa yang memiliki kecerdasan visual spasial memiliki pemecahan masalah yang masih tergolong rendah. Pada tahap memahami masalah siswa mampu menentukan hal-hal apa saja yang diketahui dan hal-hal yang ditanyakan dengan tepat. Pada tahap menyusun rencana, siswa memiliki strategi pemecahan masalah yang kurang tepat. Tahap melaksanakan rencana, siswa melaksanakan rencana pemecahan masalah sesuai dengan rencana sebelumnya. Tahap memeriksa kembali, siswa melakukan penghitungan kembali terhadap jawaban yang telah diperoleh. Siswa yang memiliki kecerdasan logis matematis memiliki pemecahan masalah yang baik. Tahap memahami masalah siswa mampu menentukan hal-hal apa saja yang diketahui dan ditanyakan dengan tepat. Tahap menyusun rencana, siswa kecerdasan logis matematis memiliki strategi pemecahan masalah yang tepat. Tahap melaksanakan rencana, siswa melakukan penyelesaian sesuai dengan rencana yang telah disusun sebelumnya. Tahap memeriksa kembali, siswa melakukan penghitungan kembali terhadap jawaban yang telah diperoleh untuk memeriksa kebenarannya.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memperoleh deskripsi jenis-jenis kesalahan dan faktor-faktor penyebab kesalahan yang dilakukan oleh siswa kelas VIII SMPN 20 Palu dalam mengerjakan soal cerita volume prisma berdasarkan teori Newman. Jenis penelitian ini adalah deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Data yang diperoleh dari penelitian adalah hasil pekerjaan siswa dan wawancara. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa 1) subjek NI dan RV tidak melakukan kesalahan membaca. (2) Subjek NI dan RV melakukan kesalahan memahami dikarenakan siswa memiliki kebiasaan menyelesaikan soal cerita tanpa menuliskan apa yang diketahui dan ditanyakan. (3) kesalahan transformasi dilakukan oleh dilakukan oleh subjek NI terjadi akibat dari kurangnya latihan dalam mengerjakan soal-soal bentuk cerita dengan variasi yang berbeda yang membuat siswa merasa kebingungan ketika mendapatkan soal cerita yang belum dikerjakan sebelumnya (4) kesalahan kemampuan proses dilakukan oleh subjek NI dan RV disebabkan kurangnya pemahaman siswa terhadap materi prasyarat baik sifat, rumus dan prosedur pengerjaan merupakan penyebab terjadinya kesalahan kemampuan proses. Adapun kesalahan terakhir adalah (5) Kesalahan penulisan jawaban akhir, kesalahan ini dilakukan oleh subjek RV kesalahan ini terjadi dikarenakan siswa melakukan kesalahan pada tahap sebelumnya sehingga siswa tidak dapat menlanjutkan jawaban pada tahap selanjutnya.

Abstract

The objectives of this study are: (1) To describe the analogical reasoning of class XI MAN 1 Poso students in the material of geometric sequences from field independent cognitive style and field dependent cognitive style. This type of research is descriptive research using a qualitative approach. The subjects in this study were two students of class XI MIPA MAN 1 Poso even semester 2021/2022 consisting of one RM student with FI cognitive style and one FN student with FD cognitive style. The students' cognitive style data was obtained by giving the GEFT test, while the students' analogy reasoning data were collected from the analogy reasoning test and interviews. The results of this study indicate that (1) field independent cognitive style students' RM fulfills all stages in each indicator of analogical reasoning and can explain the analogy used, namely in the source and target problems there are similarities or analogies in the solution, namely using the nth term formula. in the geometric sequence, namely  so it is included in high analogical reasoning. (2) While the field dependent cognitive style students' FN tend to be less able to fulfill all stages of each indicator of analogical reasoning. At the applying stage, FN has not been able to apply the relational structure of the source problem in solving the target problem, and tends not to be able to explain the analogy used. because it can't explain the analogy used so FN is included in moderate analogy reasoning.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the mathematical problem solving of class XI students of MAN 1 Palu on the material of sequences and series in terms of learning styles. The subjects in this study were three students of class XI MAN 1 Palu with visual, auditory and kinesthetic learning styles. The results of this study indicate that (1) the subject of visual learning style understands the problem by writing neatly and mentioning the information that is known and asked from the question, SV makes a problem-solving plan using existing information and knowledge of sequences and series, SV does not implement a problem-solving plan, can only get the value of the second term and do not know how to find the value of another term, SV does not re-check the answer. (2) subjects with auditory learning styles understand the problem by reading the questions repeatedly aloud but the SA is not good at understanding the questions because they are still wrong in writing the known information, the SA makes a problem-solving plan using existing information and knowledge of sequences and series, the SA carries out the plan troubleshooting but an error occurred in the end result, SA did not recheck the answer. (3) Subjects with a kinesthetic learning style understand the problem by practicing using their hands and then writing and mentioning the information that is known and asked from the problem, SK makes a problem-solving plan using existing information and knowledge of sequences and series, SK implements a problem-solving plan properly and correctly, SK rechecked the answers

Abstract

This study aims to obtain a description of the application of differentiated learning to improve learning outcomes in the flat sided geometric material for class VIII C MTs Negeri 2 Palu City. The subjects of this study were 32 students of class VIII C. This research is Classroom Action Research which refers to the research design of Kemmis and Mc. Taggart. The results of the study show that the application of differentiated learning can improve learning outcomes in the flat sided geometric material for students VIII C MTs Negeri 2 Palu City by modifying the learning process based on the learning profile. This research was conducted in two cycles following the cooperative model syntax with a differentiated learning approach in the phase of organizing students into groups and the phase of guiding groups. In the organizing phase, the teacher groups students based on learning styles, namely (1) Visual groups, given teaching materials in the form ofpowerpoint, (2) the auditory group, given learning videos, and (3) the kinesthetic group, given teaching materials and teaching aids. Whereas in the group guiding phase, the teacher guides each group in different ways, namely (1) Visual group, the teacher directs students to draw geometric shapes on paper and then explains them, (2) Auditory group, the teacher re-explains the example questions in the video by easy-to-understand language, and (3) kinesthetic group, the teacher relates the learning material to the teaching aids used

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to describe of errors made by student in class XI MIA 1 Madrasah Aliyah Al-khairaat kalangkangan in solving narrative questions on arithmetic sequences and series based on newman’s stages. This type of research is descriptive using a qualitative approach. Subjects were 2 students drawn from 36 class XI MIA 1. The results of this study were (1) no reading error made by the subjects as they able to read out the questions given very well. (2) no of the subjects made a comprehension error, this could be seen during the interview, all research subjects were able to provide known and asked information from the questions. (3) Transformation errors were made by all research subjects. This transformation error is characterized by the subject failing to change the problem into the correct mathematical model and the subject being wrong in determining the formula to be used to solve the problem. (4) Process skill errors were made by all research subjects, this was indicated by the subject knowing the steps to solve the problem but was wrong due to the subject's error at the transformation stage and the subject could not carry out the mathematical calculation process correctly. (5) errors in writing the encoding error were made by all research subjects, this was indicated by the subject not determining the final result of the answer and the subject being wrong in determining the correct answer due to errors made in the previous stage.

Abstract

This research intends to describe the application of the Realistic Mathematic Education (RME) approach to profit and loss material of the VII B grade at MTs Nurul Falah Palu. This type of classroom action research (PTK). Design used in this classroom action research was Arikunto’s that consisted of planning, action, observation, and reflection. The Subject of this research were 20 students of class VII B MTs Nurul Falah Palu. This research was conducted in two cycles. The results showed that in the final test cycle I there were 11 students who completed and 9 students did not complete with a percentage of classical learning completeness reaching 55%, while in cycle II there were 16 students completing and 4 students not completing with a classical learning completeness percentage reaching 80%. The observation results in cycle I showed that the activities of teachers and student groups were in the good category, while in the second cycle the activities of teachers and student groups were in the very good category. The results of this study indicate that the application of the Realistic Mathematic Education learning approach can improve student learning outcomes on the profit and loss material of class VII B grade at MTs Nurul Falah Palu through the following steps:1) understanding the contextual problems, in this stage the teacher presented contextual problems in LKPD and students discuss in their groups to understand the problems given by the teacher, 2) Explaining the problem, the teacher provides help if its needed in the form of questions that can direct students to solve problems 3) solving the problem, students in each group work together to solve the problems through following working steps of LKPD 4) comparing, and discussing the answer, each of group representative presents their answer in order from problem solving and the other member of group compare the answer they have to answer presented by the other group, 5) concluding, teacher guided students to conclude material they just learn. The props used are play money.

Abstract

This study aims to: (1) Determine whether or not there is a significant influence of self-efficacy on mathematics learning outcomes for junior high school students in Toribulu District (2) To determine whether or not there is a significant influence of parental attention on mathematics learning outcomes for junior high school students in Toribulu District (3) ) Knowing whether or not there is a significant influence of self-efficacy and parental attention on the mathematics learning outcomes of junior high school students in Toribulu District. This research is an ex-post facto research. The population in this study were class VIII students of junior high schools in Toribulu District who were enrolled in the 2022/2023 academic year. The sample in this study were 64 students. The data analysis technique used is multiple regression analysis using SPSS 25. The results of this study indicate that at a significance level of 5% (1) there is a significant effect of self-efficacy on mathematics learning outcomes for junior high school students in Toribulu District of 13.2% (2 ) there is a significant effect of parental attention on mathematics learning outcomes for junior high school students in Toribulu District by 16.7% (3) there is a significant effect of self-efficacy and parental attention on mathematics learning outcomes for junior high school students in Toribulu District by 22.4%.

Abstract

Abstrak: Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk memperoleh deskripsi penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Numbered Heads Together (NHT) yang dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa pada materi luas permukaan dan volume kubus dan balok di kelas VIII SMP Advent Palu. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas. Rancangan penelitian mengacu pada desain penelitian Kemmis dan Mc. Taggart, yaitu: perencanaan, pelaksanaan tindakan, observasi dan refleksi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan model kooperatif tipe NHT dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa pada materi luas permukaan dan volume kubus dan balok mengikuti fase-fase, yaitu: 1) penyampaian tujuan dan pemotivasian siswa, 2) penyajiaan informasi, 3) pengorganisasian siswa dalam kelompok–kelompok belajar, 4) penomoran, 5) pemberian pertanyaan, 6) berpikir bersama, 7) pemberian jawaban dan 8) pemberikaan penghargaan. Kata kunci: Numbered heads together, hasil belajar, luas permukaan dan volume kubus dan balok. Absract: This research aim to obtain a description about applying the Numbered Heads Together (NHT) type of coperative learning model able to improving learning achievement of surface area and also volume of cube and beams in class VIII SMP Advent Palu. The research type at this research is a classroom action research. As the research design refered to the design of the research of Kemmis and Mc. Taggart that is planning, action, observation and reflection. The Result of research indicate that applying Model of Cooperative Learning of NHT able to improve result learn student at items surface area and also volume of cube and beams, is to: 1) conveying the learning objective and motivating, 2) presenting information, 3) organizing study group, 4) numbering, 5) questioning, 6) heads together, 7) answering and 8) giving appreciation. Abstract

Abstrak: Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk memperoleh deskripsi penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Numbered Heads Together (NHT) untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa kelas VIII E SMP Negeri 7 Palu pada materi operasi hitung bentuk aljabar. Jenis penelitian ini adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK). Rancangan penelitian mengacu pada desain penelitian Kemmis dan Mc. Taggart yakni (a) perencanaan, (b) pelaksanaan tindakan, (c) observasi dan (d) refleksi. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas VIII E SMP NEGERI 7 PALU yang berjumlah 20 orang yang terdaftar pada tahun ajaran 2016/2017. Data yang dikumpulkan pada penelitian ini adalah data aktifitas guru dalam mengola pembelajaran, data aktifitas siswa dalam mengikuti kegiatan pembelajaran, data hasil tes awal dan data hasil tes akhir tindakan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe NHT yang dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa pada materi operasi bentuk aljabar, yang mengikuti fase-fase NHT dengan kegiatan berikut: 1) menyampaikan tujuan dan memotivasi siswa, 2) menyajikan materi operasi bentuk aljabar, 3) mengorganisasikan siswa dalam empat kelompok belajar, 4) memberikan nomor kepada setiap siswa, 5) membagikan LKS ke setiap kelompok, 6) mengamati siswa mengerjakan LKS dan memberikan bantuan terhadap siswa yang mengalami kesulitan mengerjakan soal, 7) menyebutkan satu nomor kemudian siswa yang mempunyai nomor kepala sesuai nomor yang di sebutkan mempresentasikan di depan kelas dan siswa yang mempunyai nomor kepala yang sama dari kelompok lain menangapinya, 8) memberikan penghargaan kepada kelompok yang memperoleh skor perkembangan tertinggi. Kata Kunci: Pembelajaran Koopertif Tipe NHT , Hasil Belajar, Operasi Hitung Bentuk Aljabar. Abstract: The purpose of this research is to obtain a description of the application of cooperative learning model Type Numbered Heads Together (NHT) to improve learning outcomes of students of class VIII E SMP Negeri 7 Palu on a straight-line equation material. This type of research was the Classroom Action Research (CAR). The design of this study refers to the model Kemmis and Mc. Taggart who consist of four components, namely: 1) planning, 2) action, 3) observation, and 4) reflection. The subjects were students of class VIII E Negeri 7 Palu were 20 people enrolled in the academic year 2016/2017. The data collected in this study was data processing activities of teachers in teaching, student activity data in participating in learning activities, the initial test result data and the final test result data action. The results showed that the application of cooperative learning model NHT that can improve student learning outcomes in the straight-line equation material, by following the phases of the following: 1) presents the objectives and motivate students, 2) menyajikkan material operations algebraic form, 3) organize the students into four groups studied, 4) to give a number to each student, 5) distribute worksheets to each group, 6) observe students working on worksheets and provide assistance to students who are experiencing difficulties do the problems, 7) Mentions one number and then the student has the head number according to the number mentioned in the presenting in front of the class and the student who has the same head number from the other group has won it, 8) presented awards to the group that received the highest score of development.
