Abstract

Environmental awareness is a fundamental element in community-based regional development because it plays a role in shaping spatial identity, improving social order, and facilitating accessibility to an area. The community service activities carried out by KKN-T Group 25 aim to increase environmental awareness and identity in RT 33 RW 04, Pematang Gubernur Village, Bengkulu City through the creation of welcome signs. The method used is a participatory approach that directly involves the community from the planning stage to the installation of the sign, as suggested by community empowerment theory. The results of the activity show that the welcome signboard has increased residents' awareness of their neighborhood's identity and made it easier for visitors to recognize the RT 33 area. In addition, the active participation of the community in this activity has strengthened their sense of ownership and social responsibility towards the environment. Thus, the welcome signboard not only functions as a physical marker but also as a social medium that strengthens local community cohesion.

Abstract

Chronic kidney disease is a non-communicable disease whose prevalence continues to increase in Indonesia and has a significant impact on the quality of life of patients, especially those undergoing haemodialysis therapy. Long-term haemodialysis can cause anxiety due to lifestyle changes, dependence on equipment, and psychological pressure. This study aims to determine the effect of applying the Benson relaxation technique in reducing anxiety levels in chronic kidney failure patients undergoing haemodialysis, through Jean Watson's caring model theory approach. The study was conducted observationally on two respondents at Bhayangkara Hospital in Bengkulu City in 2025. The intervention was carried out over two days using structured Benson relaxation techniques, including components of a calm atmosphere, repetition of words based on beliefs, passive attitudes, and comfortable positions. The evaluation results showed a decrease in signs of anxiety such as restlessness, tension, and sleep disturbances, as well as improvements in physiological parameters. This intervention proved to be effective as a non-pharmacological therapy in improving patient comfort and calmness. The integration of Jean Watson's holistic approach strengthened the effectiveness of Benson relaxation in nursing care. It is hoped that these results can serve as a reference for nursing practice in managing anxiety in patients with chronic kidney failure.

Abstract

Bullying is the most common form of harassment among adolescents, linked to emotional and behavioral issues as well as mental health morbidity. According to data published by the KPAI, there were 17 cases of bullying in educational institutions at various levels in 2021, increasing to 21 cases in 2022, and reaching 30 cases in 2023. The KPAI also recorded that from 2011 to 2019, 574 male students and 425 female students were victims of bullying in schools. Other data related to bullying perpetrators also indicate that 440 male students and 326 female students have engaged in bullying behavior at school (Kemen PPA, 2022). The purpose of this study is to determine the relationship between bullying and self-esteem among students at State High School 04 Bengkulu. This research uses a correlational method to determine the strength and direction of the relationship. The sampling technique employed total sampling with a sample size of 129 respondents, who are students of State High School 04 Bengkulu. The results of the univariate analysis show that most of those experiencing bullying fall into the high category, with 28 individuals (21.71%), while self-esteem was categorized as low for 28 respondents (21.71%). The results of the bivariate analysis indicate a relationship between bullying and self-esteem, with a p-value of 0.000 < 0.05, which means that the null hypothesis (Ho) is rejected and the alternative hypothesis (Hı) is accepted, indicating a relationship between bullying and self-esteem among high school students. It is hoped that schools will pay more attention to the issue of bullying occurring in the school environment, as it can trigger low self-esteem

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of applying spiritual therapy through zikr on reducing emotional disturbances among patients with schizophrenia using the Betty Neuman Model at Simpang Nangka Community Health Center, Rejang Lebong Regency, in 2025. Schizophrenia is a chronic mental disorder characterized by emotional instability, requiring appropriate nursing interventions to manage patients’ responses to stressors. This research employed a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design, specifically a one group pre-test and post-test design. The subjects were schizophrenic patients experiencing emotional disturbances. The intervention consisted of structured zikr therapy based on Neuman’s system model. The findings revealed a significant decrease in emotional levels after the implementation of spiritual therapy. In conclusion, zikr therapy is effective in reducing emotional instability among patients with schizophrenia and can serve as a complementary spiritual-based nursing intervention.
