Abstract

In the context of globalization, company acquisitions are a common strategic move; however, the post-acquisition phase often brings challenges, especially in organizational culture integration and employee retention. This study explores how organizational culture integration after acquisition affects employees' decisions to remain in the organization. Using a qualitative case study approach, data were collected through in-depth interviews with employees who experienced the acquisition process at an oil and gas company in Indonesia. The findings reveal that transparent communication, recognition of employee concerns, and opportunities for growth significantly contribute to employee retention. Moreover, psychological and emotional aspects such as perceived security, cultural compatibility, and inclusive leadership emerge as key influencing factors. The study highlights the need for empathetic, structured, and inclusive integration strategies as part of effective human resource management practices to enhance post-acquisition employee retention.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effects of job burnout and cyberloafing on educator performance and the role of job burnout on cyberloafing, moderated by organizational commitment. This research employs a quantitative approach to validate hypotheses involving educators from the State University with Legal Entity Status in West Java, using a sample of 377 respondents and a questionnaire instrument adapted from various previous studies. Data was collected through questionnaires and analyzed using the Partial Least Square Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) technique with SmartPLS software. The results indicate that job burnout has a significant positive effect on cyberloafing, suggesting that higher levels of job burnout correspond to an increased tendency for cyberloafing. Meanwhile, organizational commitment is an effective moderator in reducing the negative impact of job burnout on cyberloafing, which in turn helps improve employee performance. Thus, the study demonstrates that job burnout increases cyberloafing behaviour and decreases employee performance, yet organizational commitment can act as an effective moderator to mitigate these negative impacts. The implications of this research suggest that educational organizations can reduce the negative impact of burnout and cyberloafing on educator performance by promoting organizational commitment. This can contribute to creating a healthier and more productive work environment.

Abstract

Human Resource Analytics (HRA) has emerged as a strategic capability that enables organizations to make data-driven and evidence-based human capital decisions. However, its adoption remains uneven and conceptually fragmented. This study systematically reviews the drivers, barriers, and ethical considerations influencing the organizational adoption of HRA between 2015 and 2025. A structured search was conducted exclusively in the Scopus database following the PRISMA 2020 protocol to ensure transparency and replicability. From an initial corpus of 295 records, 67 studies met the inclusion criteria after duplicate removal, relevance screening, and full-text assessment. The synthesis shows that the Resource-Based View (RBV) remains the dominant theoretical foundation, complemented by Technology-Organization-Environment (TOE) and Socio-Technical Systems perspectives. Technological readiness, top management support, and external support commonly enable adoption, while data quality, analytical capability, and privacy issues remain key barriers. Ethical and sustainability concerns – particularly fairness, transparency, and responsible data governance – are increasingly emphasized in recent studies. This review provides a structured synthesis and future research agenda bridging theoretical and practical perspectives, offering insights for strengthening analytics governance, organizational capability, and evidence-based decision cultures.

Abstract

This study aims to identify key factors influencing the success of digital transformation at IPB University, analyze the most influential factors, and propose an optimal strategy to improve its implementation. A quantitative approach was used by distributing questionnaires to 180 respondents consisting of lecturers and educational staff at IPB University. Data were analyzed using multiple regression with SPSS. The findings reveal that digital technology and strategy significantly influence the successful implementation of digital transformation. Digital strategy has the greatest and most significant influence on the dependent variable. This means that the better the implementation of digital strategy within an organization, the higher the level of success of digital transformation. This finding confirms that targeted strategic planning, the selection of appropriate digital initiatives, and the alignment of strategy with organizational goals are crucial factors in driving successful digital transformation. Furthermore, seven key determinants influence the success of digital transformation in higher education institutions: the use of future-ready digital technology, developed digital technology systems, and technology products with user-friendly designs and optimal functionality. Alignment of strategy with the university's vision, mission, and business plan, a clear and structured digital strategy, and strategies that support cross-departmental collaboration within the organization are key determinants of digital strategy. Strengthening digital leadership and governance was identified as the top priority strategies for strengthening internal digital transformation in higher education. This research contributes to the development of digital transformation strategies in higher education, supporting Indonesia’s 2045 vision.

Abstract

Currently, 70% of the composition of Indonesia Financial Service Authority (OJK) employees are millennials, therefore OJK has an interest in maintaining the commitment of these millennial employees to maintain OJK performance in the future. The purpose of this research is to develop HR management scenarios to increase the commitment of OJK millennial employees, which is preceded by a study on the effect of the generation gap, organizational culture, employee engagement, and location fit on organizational commitment using the Mann- Whitney test, PLS-SEM, and scenario planning. The results of the Mann-Whitney test show that currently there is a generation gap at OJK, further results from the PLS-SEM show that the generation gap, organizational culture, and employee engagement have a significant effect on organizational commitment, including the mediating effect of employee engagement and the moderating effect of location fit according to organizational commitment show the same result. Based on the test results, an HR management strategy was developed to increase the commitment of OJK millennial employees by using a scenario planning millennial approach in four scenarios: optimal, aggressive, selective, and minimal.

Abstract

Organizations are confronted with multiple uncertainties and unexpected changes, requiring them to survive and adapt in order to achieve long-term success. One strategic approach that has increasingly attracted scholarly attention is the strengthening of organizational resilienceNevertheless, academic studies on organizational resilience within the higher education sector continue to exhibit diverse developmental patterns and therefore require comprehensive mapping. This study adopts a bibliometric approach using data retrieved from the Scopus database. Articles were collected using the keyword string “organizational_resilience_AND_higher_education” within the subject areas of business, management, and accounting. All data were analyzed using VOSviewer software to map publication trends, author networks, institutional affiliations, and keyword interrelationships. The results reveal that the highest number of publications occurred in 2021, with a total of 50 articles. The most productive institutional affiliation was Technische Universität Dresden, with five publications. Furthermore, keywords with the highest total link strength included industry, COVID, organizational resilience, and technology. Author network analysis identified 14 interconnected authors within collaborative research clusters. These findings indicate a growing academic focus on organizational resilience in the higher education sector, particularly in response to global challenges such as the COVID-19 pandemic and technological transformation.

Abstract

Startups, as rapidly growing and dynamic organizations, face unique challenges in managing human resources, especially regarding generational diversity and the need for work flexibility. In this regard, the adoption of flexible working arrangements and women’s leadership are crucial elements thought to enhance employee performance. This study collected data through a questionnaire with 140 respondents. A quantitative method with descriptive analysis was used to depict the questionnaire data filled out by respondents and Structural Equation Modelling (SEM-PLS) was applied to analyse the relationships among the variables studied. This research examines the influence of women’s leadership and flexible working arrangements on employee performance while positioning a multigenerational workforce as a moderating factor within the proposed relationships. The results demonstrate that both women’s leadership and flexible working arrangements (FWA) each exert a positive influence on employee performance. Multigenerational does not moderate the relationship between women’s leadership and performance, indicating that leadership qualities such as inclusiveness, empathy and collaboration are broadly valued across generations. In contrast, multigenerational moderates flexible working arrangements on employee performance, highlighting the role of work flexibility in accommodating differing expectations and work preferences among employees from various generational backgrounds.
