Abstract

Orang Rimba (Suku Anak Dalam) has an excellent knowledge of medicine. They are able to distinguish between poisonous plants including processing them. The purpose of this research is to find out the Species of medicinal plants, part of the plants used and how to process the plants by the Anak Dalam Tribe. This research is a qualitative descriptive research. Data is taken through semi-structured interviews, participatory observations and documentation. From the results of research obtained 48 Species of medicinal plants. Of the 48 Species, 12 Species are utilized for fever medicine, 11 Species for skin medicine, 8 Species for stomach pain / digestive problems, 8 Species for birthing drugs, 1 Species of toothache medicine, 1 Species of canker sores, 1 Species of appetite enhancer drugs, 2 Species of cough medicine, 1 Species of flu medicine and 1 Species of malaria medicine. Parts of plants that are often used for medicine are leaves. Processing the plant into an average medicine by boiling and drinking boiled water plants. Keywords: Suku Anak Dalam, Local knowledge, medical plants   Abstrak Orang Rimba (Suku Anak Dalam) memiliki pengetahuan obat-obatan yang sangat baik. Mereka mampu membedakan tumbuhan beracun termasuk mengolahnya. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui jenis tumbuhan obat, bagian dari tumbuhan yang dimanfaatkan dan cara pengolahanny tumbuhan tersebut oleh Suku Anak Dalam. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Data diambil melalui wawancara semi terstruktur, observasi partisipatif dan dokumentasi. Dari hasil peneitian didapatkan 48 jenis tanaman obat. Dari 48 jenis tersebut,12 jenis dimanfaatkan untuk obat demam, 11 jenis untuk obat kulit, 8 jenis untuk obat sakit perut/masalah pencernaan, 8 jenis untuk obat proses melahirkan, 1 jenis obat sakit gigi, 1 jenis obat sariawan, 1 jenis obat penambah nafsu makan, 2 jenis obat batuk, 1 jenis obat flu dan 1 jenis obat malaria. Bagian tanaman yang sering dimanfaatkan untuk obat yaitu daun. Pengolahan tanaman tersebut menjadi obat rata-rata dengan cara direbus dan diminum air rebusan tanaman tersebut. Abstract

Understanding laboratory equipment is a fundamental competency in science education. However, students often face difficulties in mastering laboratory tools due to the lack of practical and reliable learning resources. Dependence on invalid sources negatively affects the quality of practicum and research. This study aims to develop and evaluate the feasibility of a digital encyclopedia on laboratory equipment as a learning resource to enhance the effectiveness of science learning. The research employed a Research and Development (R&D) approach using the 4D model: Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate. The Define stage involved needs analysis through surveys and interviews, curriculum analysis, student characteristics analysis, and formulation of learning objectives. The Design stage focused on creating a product prototype. The product was validated by four experts (a subject matter expert, a media expert, a language expert, and an instructional design expert). Practicality testing involved 28 students and 4 lecturers from the Biology Education study program. The validation results showed scores of 93% for language, 93.2% for content, and 95% for media, indicating that the digital encyclopedia is very feasible for use. Practicality tests resulted in a score of 96.2% from students and 88.33% from lecturers, indicating that the product is very practical, engaging, and effective in supporting independent learning. The final results conclude that the digital encyclopedia is both valid and practical as a learning resource. The study recommends further development with broader content coverage and the integration of Augmented Reality (AR) technology to enhance interactivity.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Teacher performance evaluation plays an important role in improving the quality of education through continuous professional development that supports enhanced competence and learning quality. This research was conducted using an in-depth literature study method on various scientific references related to teacher performance evaluation at SDN 73/IX Simpang Sungai Duren in Indonesia. The research stages included selecting relevant literature, collecting data through documentation, conducting qualitative analysis of 20 literature sources, and drawing conclusions based on four main research focuses. The results of the study indicate that the implementation of evaluation is still dominated by the top-down method, with the involvement of the principal and supervisor as the main evaluators, and minimal participation from students and parents. On the other hand, teacher competency achievements are classified as good in pedagogical and professional aspects, but are still weak in the application of learning technology and methodological innovation. The use of evaluation results is generally still administrative and has not been utilized strategically for career development or improving the quality of learning. Evaluation also faces various obstacles, such as time constraints, assessor subjectivity, and the absence of standardized standard instruments. Thus, a more participatory, fair, and sustainable teacher development-oriented evaluation approach is needed in order to support the transformation of quality education. ABSTRAK Evaluasi kinerja guru berperan penting dalam meningkatkan mutu pendidikan melalui pengembangan profesional berkelanjutan yang mendukung peningkatan kompetensi dan kualitas pembelajaran. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan metode studi literatur yang mendalam terhadap berbagai referensi ilmiah terkait evaluasi kinerja guru SDN 73/IX Simpang Sungai Duren di Indonesia. Tahapan penelitian meliputi pemilihan literatur yang relevan, pengumpulan data melalui dokumentasi, analisis kualitatif terhadap 20 sumber pustaka, serta penarikan kesimpulan berdasarkan empat fokus utama penelitian. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pelaksanaan evaluasi masih didominasi oleh metode top-down, dengan keterlibatan kepala sekolah dan pengawas sebagai evaluator utama, serta minimnya partisipasi dari siswa dan orang tua. Di sisi lain, capaian kompetensi guru tergolong baik dalam aspek pedagogik dan profesional, namun masih lemah dalam penerapan teknologi pembelajaran dan inovasi metodologis. Penggunaan hasil evaluasi umumnya masih bersifat administratif dan belum dimanfaatkan secara strategis untuk pengembangan karier atau peningkatan mutu pembelajaran. Evaluasi juga menghadapi berbagai kendala, seperti keterbatasan waktu, subjektivitas penilai, dan belum adanya instrumen baku yang terstandar. Dengan demikian, diperlukan pendekatan evaluasi yang lebih partisipatif, adil, dan berorientasi pada pembinaan guru secara berkelanjutan agar mampu mendukung transformasi pendidikan yang berkualitas.

Abstract

This study evaluates teacher performance at MIS Al-Mukhlisin Jambi based on four core competencies: pedagogical, professional, social, and personal. It addresses gaps in current evaluation practices that remain administrative, exclude stakeholder input, and underutilize digital tools. Using a qualitative descriptive method, data were collected from six teachers, one principal, and ten students through observations, semi-structured interviews, and documentation. Analysis followed Miles and Huberman's thematic model. Findings show that 67% of teachers prepared structured lesson plans, yet 60% struggled with differentiated instruction. Only 40% regularly used digital resources, while 75% showed strong discipline and commitment. Authoritarian communication styles and limited stakeholder involvement were noted. The study recommends participatory, LMS-based evaluation strategies and enhanced evaluator training to improve teacher assessment and continuous professional growth. ABSTRAK Penelitian ini mengevaluasi kinerja guru di MIS Al-Mukhlisin Jambi berdasarkan empat kompetensi inti: pedagogik, profesional, sosial, dan kepribadian. Penelitian ini merespons kesenjangan dalam praktik evaluasi yang masih bersifat administratif, belum melibatkan pemangku kepentingan, dan kurang memanfaatkan teknologi digital. Dengan menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif, data dikumpulkan dari enam guru, satu kepala sekolah, dan sepuluh siswa melalui observasi, wawancara semi-terstruktur, dan dokumentasi. Analisis data mengikuti model tematik Miles dan Huberman. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa 67% guru menyusun rencana pembelajaran secara terstruktur, namun 60% masih kesulitan menerapkan pembelajaran berdiferensiasi. Hanya 40% guru yang rutin menggunakan sumber belajar digital, sementara 75% menunjukkan disiplin dan komitmen yang kuat. Ditemukan pula gaya komunikasi otoriter dan minimnya keterlibatan pemangku kepentingan. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan strategi evaluasi partisipatif berbasis LMS serta peningkatan pelatihan evaluator untuk memperkuat penilaian kinerja dan pengembangan profesional guru secara berkelanjutan.

Abstract

Tanah menjadi salah satu habitat mikroorganisme yang berperan penting dalam dekomposisi bahan organik, termasuk selulosa. Lingkungan tanah di sekitar kandang ayam mengandung bahan organik tinggi dan berpotensi sebagai sumber bakteri pendegradasi selulosa. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengidentifikasi karakteristik bakteri tanah di Muaro Jambi sebagai kontribusi dalam kajian mikrobiologi tanah. Metode penelitian meliputi pengambilan sampel tanah, pengenceran bertingkat, teknik kultur dengan metode spread plate, serta pewarnaan Gram untuk membedakan bakteri Gram positif dan Gram negatif berdasarkan morfologi dan sifat dinding selnya. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa bakteri gram negatif mendominasi hingga 80% dibandingkan bakteri gram negatif. Bakteri gram negatif yang ditandai dengan warna merah pada pewarnaan Gram, sementara bakteri Gram positif memiliki warna ungu. Morfologi bakteri yang teramati meliputi bentuk coccus dan bacil, menunjukkan adaptasi yang beragam terhadap lingkungan tanah. Temuan ini mengindikasikan keberadaan mikroorganisme yang berpotensi menghasilkan senyawa pendegradasi bahan organik yang sulit dipecah seperti selulosa dan berkontribusi terhadap proses dekomposisi di lingkungan tanah sekitar kandang ayam. Penelitian ini memberikan dasar awal untuk studi lebih lanjut mengenai potensi aktivitas enzimatik bakteri tanah dalam konteks mikrobiologi lingkungan.

Abstract

Himpunan Mahasiswa Program Studi Sistem Informasi (HMPS SI) merupakan organisasi mahasiswa yang berperan dalam mengelola kegiatan akademik dan non-akademik di tingkat program studi. Saat ini, HMPS SI belum memiliki sistem informasi berbasis website yang dapat mendukung pengelolaan kegiatan dan komunikasi organisasi secara optimal. Penelitian ini bertujuan merancang sistem informasi berbasis website untuk meningkatkan efisiensi pengelolaan kegiatan, memperkenalkan organisasi kepada mahasiswa, serta menyediakan fitur Pendaftaran dan Dialog Prodi sebagai sarana komunikasi mahasiswa dengan pihak program studi. Metode penelitian meliputi analisis kebutuhan, perancangan sistem menggunakan metode Prototype, implementasi dengan PHP, Laravel, dan MySQL, serta pengujian menggunakan Black Box Testing. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sistem informasi yang dibangun mampu mempermudah pengelolaan data organisasi, proses pendaftaran anggota, dan penyampaian aspirasi mahasiswa. Dengan demikian, sistem ini diharapkan dapat mendukung kinerja HMPS SI secara lebih efektif, efisien, dan transparan.

Abstract

This study describes the potential of plants and the culture of the people in Sumber Harum Village, utilizing medicinal plants around them, which shows the interaction of the community with medicinal plants. Data and information about traditional medicinal plants in Sumber Harum Village and how to use them have yet to be available and documented, especially regarding cultivated and wild medicinal plants. The purpose of this study is to identify the types of traditional medicinal plants, how plants are used by the Sumber Harum Village Community, and analyze community knowledge related to medicinal plants. The research method used is descriptive quantitative, with observation techniques, semi-structured interviews, questionnaires, documentation, collection of plant samples and identification of medicinal plants. Data were analyzed using the Local User's Value Index (LUVI). The research results found that there are 93 species of medicinal plants in Sumber Harum Village, consisting of 75 species of cultivated medicinal plants and 18 species of wild medicinal plants, each of which is grouped into 50 families. The way of utilizing medicinal plants is by boiling them, consuming them directly, pounding them, grating them, squeezing them, and pasting them. The LUVI value of medicinal plants has two categories; the highest value in the cultivation category is avocado leaves (Persea Americana P.Mill) with a value of 0.0689, while the highest type of plant in the wild medicinal plant category is ciplukan (Physalis angulate L.) with a value of 0.0033.

Abstract

This study examines the Principal's Strategy in Improving the Professional Competence of Educational Personnel at SMP IT Mutiara Hati Rimbo Bujang. The formulation of the problem in this study is to find out: How is the Professionalism of Educational Personnel at SMP IT Mutiara Hati Rimbo Bujang, How is the Principal's Strategy in Improving the Professionalism of Educational Personnel at SMP IT Mutiara Hati Rimbo Bujang, and What are the Principal's Obstacles in Improving the Professionalism of Educational Personnel at SMP IT Mutiara Hati Rimbo Bujang. This study was conducted using a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. The subjects of this study were the principal, head of administration, vice principal of curriculum and administrative staff. The object of this study is the principal's efforts in improving the professionalism of educational personnel at SMP IT Mutiara Hati Rimbo Bujang. In data collection techniques, researchers used observation, interview and documentation techniques. Then this study researchers used data analysis with data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. The technique of checking the validity of the researcher's data used data triangulation techniques. In this study, the author found that a strategy was needed for the principal to improve the professionalism of administrative staff, namely by conducting training, meetings, seminars, discussions and so on, and there were obstacles for the principal in improving the professionalism of administrative staff, namely inadequate human resources and inadequate facilities and infrastructure.

Abstract

ABSTRACT The evaluation of teacher performance at MTs Laboratorium Kota Jambi focuses on three main aspects: lesson planning, lesson implementation, and assessment of learning outcomes. This evaluation is conducted twice a year to objectively assess teachers' abilities in designing, delivering, and evaluating the learning process. The research method used is a qualitative approach with a case study, which collects data through in-depth interviews with the head of the madrasah, teachers, and madrasah supervisors. The results of the study indicate that teacher performance evaluation at MTs Laboratorium has had a positive impact on learning innovation and improving the quality of teaching. However, the main challenges faced are teacher resistance to the evaluation process and limited time for comprehensive class observation. In addition, the high administrative burden also affects the smooth implementation of the evaluation. Nevertheless, teacher performance evaluations that are carried out transparently and systematically have helped the madrasah in formulating effective coaching programs. The results of this evaluation are also used as a basis for teacher capacity development through training and certification. This study recommends that further training be provided to the management team and teachers to improve understanding of evaluation indicators and improve evaluation implementation in the future. With better support in the implementation of evaluation and reduction of administrative burden, it is expected that the quality of education at MTs Laboratorium can continue to improve, creating a competent young generation ready to face future challenges. ABSTRAK Evaluasi kinerja guru di MTs Laboratorium Kota Jambi difokuskan pada tiga aspek utama, yaitu perencanaan pembelajaran, pelaksanaan pembelajaran, dan evaluasi hasil pembelajaran. Kegiatan evaluasi ini dilaksanakan dua kali dalam setahun guna menilai secara objektif kemampuan guru dalam merancang, melaksanakan, serta mengevaluasi proses pembelajaran. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kualitatif dengan studi kasus, yang mengumpulkan data melalui wawancara mendalam dengan kepala madrasah, guru, dan pengawas madrasah. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa evaluasi kinerja guru di MTs Laboratorium telah memberikan dampak positif terhadap inovasi pembelajaran dan peningkatan kualitas pengajaran. Namun, tantangan utama yang dihadapi adalah resistensi guru terhadap proses evaluasi dan keterbatasan waktu untuk observasi kelas secara menyeluruh. Selain itu, beban administrasi yang tinggi juga memengaruhi kelancaran pelaksanaan evaluasi. Meskipun demikian, evaluasi kinerja guru yang dilakukan secara transparan dan sistematis telah membantu pihak madrasah dalam merumuskan program pembinaan yang efektif. Hasil evaluasi ini juga digunakan sebagai dasar untuk pengembangan kapasitas guru melalui pelatihan dan sertifikasi. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan agar pelatihan lebih lanjut diberikan kepada tim manajemen dan guru untuk memperbaiki pemahaman terhadap indikator evaluasi dan meningkatkan implementasi evaluasi di masa depan. Dengan dukungan yang lebih baik dalam pelaksanaan evaluasi dan pengurangan beban administrasi, diharapkan kualitas pendidikan di MTs Laboratorium dapat terus meningkat, menciptakan generasi muda yang kompeten dan siap menghadapi tantangan masa depan.

Abstract

Evaluating teacher performance at SDN 219 Jambi City in an effort to improve the quality of education by assessing four main aspects: learning planning, learning implementation, evaluation of learning outcomes, and the influence of work discipline on teacher performance. The method used is a descriptive qualitative approach, with data collection techniques through in-depth interviews with one of the teachers at the school. The results of the study indicate that although teachers have been able to manage their classes well, there are several challenges such as time constraints, administrative burdens, and difficulties in implementing differentiated learning. Teachers have also used a variety of learning methods, but it is still necessary to enrich teaching materials with more interesting technology and learning media. The existing teacher performance evaluation is still quantitative and needs to be improved with more constructive feedback. In addition, good work discipline can improve teacher performance, but administrative constraints are still an obstacle. This study suggests the importance of providing training, relevant modules, and better time management to improve the quality of teaching. ABSTRAK Mengevaluasi kinerja guru di SD Negeri 219 Kota Jambi dalam upaya peningkatan mutu pendidikan dengan menilai empat aspek utama: perencanaan pembelajaran, pelaksanaan pembelajaran, evaluasi hasil pembelajaran, dan pengaruh disiplin kerja terhadap kinerja guru. Metode yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif, dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui wawancara mendalam kepada salah satu guru di sekolah tersebut. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa meskipun guru sudah mampu mengelola kelas dengan baik, terdapat beberapa tantangan seperti keterbatasan waktu, beban administratif, serta kesulitan dalam menerapkan pembelajaran berdiferensiasi. Guru juga sudah menggunakan metode pembelajaran yang bervariasi, namun masih perlu untuk memperkaya materi ajar dengan teknologi dan media pembelajaran yang lebih menarik. Evaluasi kinerja guru yang ada masih bersifat kuantitatif dan perlu diperbaiki dengan umpan balik yang lebih konstruktif. Selain itu, disiplin kerja yang baik dapat meningkatkan kinerja guru, tetapi kendala administratif masih menjadi hambatan. Penelitian ini menyarankan pentingnya penyediaan pelatihan, modul yang relevan, serta pengelolaan waktu yang lebih baik untuk meningkatkan kualitas pengajaran.
