Abstract

This study was motivated by river water pollution which has an impact on the health of residents who live along the Brantas River Watershed (DAS). Aim of this research is to determine the health awareness and vulnerability of women and their families who live in the Brantas Watershed. An ecofeminist perspective is used to explain women's awareness and participation in protecting the environment and river water. This research uses a descriptive method with a survey research type. The research was conducted in Surabaya City and Sidoarjo Regency. The number of respondents was 200 housewives aged 19 to over 55 years. The research results show that there are still 11.50% of women in Sidoarjo Regency, and 3.40% from Surabaya who use river water and consider it suitable for household needs. Women and their families are also vulnerable to disease, where 35.30% of children from respondents in Surabaya have experienced skin diseases, and 34.2% of children from respondents in Sidoarjo have experienced diarrhea. However, it turns out that women also care about protecting and preserving the environment. This study concludes that efforts are needed to increase women's awareness so that they can avoid behavior that is not beneficial to health, especially in their interactions with polluted river water.

Abstract

The police code of ethics is a set of behavioral rules that regulate the maintenance of the integrity and professionalism of the police institution. In practice, there are violations of the code of ethics by police officers, which can tarnish the professionalism of the police institution. This research focuses on ethical code violations that occur at the East Java Regional Police. This research is an empirical legal study with primary data in the form of interviews and secondary data including journal articles, books, and legislation. The research results show that the command law culture, which has been internalized by every member of the National Police in East Java Regional Police, is such that if higher-ranking police officers do not adhere to the code of ethics, this behavior is also followed by lower-ranking police officers. The influential factor related to code of ethics violations in East Java Regional Police is the leadership style of superiors, which is one of the reasons for the continued code of ethics violations by lower-ranking police officers due to their disagreement with the decisions made by their superiors. The recommendation of this research is that there needs to be exemplary behavior from superiors to ensure that members can adhere to the police code of ethics, thereby creating a culture of law that complies with the code of ethics for police officers. Additionally, the cultivation of a responsive and accommodative leadership style is necessary so that superiors can become wiser in giving directions or orders to subordinates.

Abstract

Program pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk memperkuat tata kelola dan kapasitas digital pelaku UMKM rongsokan di Kelurahan Kalidoni, Kota Palembang, melalui pendekatan ekonomi sirkular dan partisipatif berbasis komunitas. Permasalahan yang dihadapi mitra meliputi belum adanya pembukuan usaha, rendahnya literasi digital, serta belum dikenalnya konsep nilai tambah dari pengelolaan limbah. Metode yang digunakan adalah Community-Based Participatory Research (CBPR) yang terdiri atas tiga tahap: persiapan, pelaksanaan, serta evaluasi dan penutup. Kegiatan mencakup pelatihan pencatatan keuangan, digitalisasi usaha, branding produk, kampanye lingkungan, dan sosialisasi pengelolaan barang bekas. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pemahaman mitra dalam pengelolaan usaha, penggunaan media digital, serta tumbuhnya kesadaran terhadap nilai ekonomis limbah. Program ini memberikan dampak nyata dalam memperkuat kapasitas UMKM berbasis komunitas menuju pengelolaan usaha yang lebih adaptif, efisien, dan berkelanjutan.

Abstract

This study discusses the social meaning of reading sholawat nariyah 4,444 times. The purpose is to understand it as a social reality practiced in Badang Village during the COVID-19 pandemic. Sholawat nariyah is interpreted as a religious tradition that continues to be preserved and maintained. It uses a qualitative approach from the phenomenological aspect, with in-depth interviews and observations. The findings cover five categories of sholawat nariyah: as a symbol of religion, as a solidarity action, as sacredness, as collective awareness, and as a tool of power. This study concludes that the social meaning of reading sholawat nariyah for 4,444 times is social capital and cultural wealth in Badang Village. Sholawat nariyah is also as a social reality in understanding sholawat nariyah. Penelitian ini membahas tentang makna sosial dari bacaan sholawat nariyah sebanyak 4,444 kali. Tujuannya yaitu untuk memahami pembacaan sholawat nariyah sebagai realitas sosial di desa Badang pada masa pandemi COVID-19. Sholawat nariyah dimaknai sebagai tradisi keagamaan yang terus dilestarikan dan dipertahankan. Metode penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dari aspek fenomenologis, dengan wawancara mendalam dan observasi. Penelitian ini mengklasifikasikan temuan ke dalam lima kategori, antara lain:  sholawat nariyah sebagai simbol agama; sebagai aksi solidaritas; dalam kesucian; sebagai kesadaran kolektif; dan sebagai sebuah alat kekuasaan. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa makna sosial yang terkandung dalam bacaan sholawat nariyah sebanyak 4,444 kali merupakan modal sosial dan kekayaan budaya di desa Badang, sholawat nariyah sebagai ralitas sosial dalam memahami sholawat nariyah.

Abstract

Pemerintah memiliki regulasi dalam mengatur seragam kerja yang digunakan aparatur sipil negara. Busana di tempat kerja merupakan hal yang tidak dapat dipisahkan dari pekerjaan. Penelitian terdahulu telah menunjukkan bahwa karyawan yang berpakaian profesional merasa lebih puas dan percaya diri, sehingga memberikan yang terbaik bagi organisasi. Penelitian ini berusaha untuk mengkaji pengaruh seragam kerja terhadap kinerja karyawan secara langsung, maupun melalui variable mediasi kepuasan kerja dan harga diri. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif, dengan sampel sebanyak 326 responden yang dipilih secara purposive dari aparatur di setiap perangkat daerah Pemerintah Provinsi Jawa Timur. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan kuesioner melalui google form, dan dianalisa dengan menggunakan metode Stuctural Equation Modelling (SEM). Penelitian ini menemukan bahwa terdapat pengaruh langsung antara seragam kerja terhadap kinerja karyawan namun bernilai negatif. Seragam kerja terhadap kinerja karyawan melalui mediasi harga diri terbukti memiliki pengaruh positif yang signifikan, sedangkan pengaruh terhadap kinerja karyawan melalui mediasi kepuasan kerja tidak berhasil dibuktikan.

Abstract

Education is a facility in improving the ability to meet various needs. Education in Indonesia has formal, informal, and non-formal education. The research conducted focused on formal education, namely elementary school education. Basic education is the basis of education that is the foundation for students in pursuing higher formal education. Students at the elementary school education level are the stages of child development who still need concrete objects or at the concrete operational stage. This stage is more about learning that uses concrete or real objects, so that students will get meaningful learning. Learning at the concrete operational stage requires a medium that facilitates learners in learning, especially in the use of image-space or visual-spatial intelligence. This intelligence can be built through learning that uses pictorial media and has meaning. If the media used is not suitable, there will be problems or problems planned. The research conducted will determine changes in behavior when learning to use comics at SDN Nagrog, Bandung Regency.. The research method carried out is to use the Class Action Research (PTK) method with the Elliot model which has several implementation cycles. The resulting research results are that there are changes in the level of student practice seen from the learning outcomes of cycle I, cycle II, and cycle III. Each stage has an improved level of learning outcomes, and conducive and active classroom conditions. Therefore, the regular use of comics on materials in elementary grades is very effective in changing the behavior of learners, so learning outcomes will improve. Abstract

The increasing need for water in the community must be followed by the availability of sufficient water and in accordance with health quality standards. The Regional Drinking Water Company (PDAM) is a Regionally Owned Enterprise engaged in the management of Water Resources. Like PDAM Tirta Betuah Talang Kelapa Branch which is the only source of clean water distributed to the local community. The existence of PDAM in the Talang Kelapat area is very much needed by the community, because before the PDAM, the community still depended on drilled wells and rainwater to obtain clean water. However, the problem that occurred in PDAM Tirta Betuah Talang Kelapat Branch is in the field of distribution or distribution of clean water to consumers. This study aims to determine how the management of clean water distribution in PDAM Tirta Betuah Talang Kelapat Branch. The focus of this study is the Analysis of the Management of Regional Drinking Water Companies (PDAM) in Clean Water Distribution in Banyuasin Regency, using George R. Terry's (1958) management theory which consists of planning, organizing, actuating, controlling.The research method used is descriptive qualitative, data collection techniques with observation, interviews, and documentation, which will be collected completely and then conclusions drawn. The results of the study regarding Management Analysis in the distribution of clean water at PDAM Tirta Betuah Talang Kelapa Branch have been running well, but have not been able to achieve the objectives. Because, there are indicators that are not optimal, namely from the planning indicator regarding funds or budgets due to the large number of customer bills in arrears, from the organizational indicator regarding inadequate supporting facilities and equipment, from the supervision indicator regarding supervision in water distribution activities that should be carried out routinely.

Abstract

Research on the impact of fiberglass boats has so far focused more on the impact of fiberglass on workers or boat builders. This study aims to provide an analysis of the risks involved in the manufacturing process for the community; the level of comfort and safety when using fiberglass boats; and innovations made to minimise risks and improve comfort and safety. The research approach used is qualitative with an ethnographic method. Data sources include interviews with craftsmen and fishermen in seven villages/areas, observations, documents, and documentation. Data analysis techniques consist of domain analysis, taxonomic analysis, component analysis, and cultural theme analysis. Data validity is strengthened using triangulation. The research findings indicate that: 1) dust from fiberglass boats during sanding in open areas/along the coast poses a risk of causing itching and shortness of breath among the local community, a problem that persists to this day; 2) fiberglass boats are uncomfortable to use, and according to some community members, the vibrations caused by large waves can have adverse effects on heart health; 3) the use of fiberglass boats is considered more risky in terms of safety in the event of an accident; 4) considering the risks, comfort levels, and safety factors, some fishermen have already implemented various innovations.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation of work discipline and its impact on teachers’ performance at SDN Kalirejo Bangil. The background of this research is based on the importance of work discipline as a determining factor in improving teacher performance, which directly influences the quality of education. The focus of this study includes the forms of work discipline implementation, supporting and inhibiting factors, as well as its influence on teachers’ performance in carrying out their professional duties and responsibilities. This research employs a qualitative approach with a descriptive design. Data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation involving the principal and teachers. Data analysis was conducted through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that the implementation of work discipline at SDN Kalirejo Bangil has been fairly well-executed, as reflected in punctuality, adherence to regulations, and responsibility in task performance. Supporting factors include the principal’s firm leadership, teachers’ internal motivation, and a conducive work environment, while inhibiting factors consist of limited facilities and high administrative workload. The study concludes that good work discipline positively influences the improvement of teachers’ performance, particularly in time discipline, teaching quality, and professional responsibility. ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan implementasi disiplin kerja terhadap kinerja guru di SDN Kalirejo Bangil. Latar belakang penelitian ini berangkat dari fenomena rendahnya kedisiplinan sebagian guru yang berdampak pada efektivitas proses pembelajaran dan pencapaian hasil kerja yang optimal. Fokus penelitian diarahkan pada bentuk penerapan disiplin kerja, faktor-faktor yang memengaruhi tingkat kedisiplinan, serta pengaruhnya terhadap kinerja guru. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis penelitian deskriptif. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi, wawancara mendalam, dan dokumentasi terhadap kepala sekolah, guru, serta tenaga kependidikan. Analisis data menggunakan model interaktif Miles dan Huberman yang meliputi reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa implementasi disiplin kerja di SDN Kalirejo Bangil dilakukan melalui pengawasan kehadiran, ketepatan waktu, tanggung jawab terhadap tugas, serta kepatuhan terhadap tata tertib sekolah. Faktor pendukung meliputi kepemimpinan kepala sekolah yang tegas dan teladan, serta budaya kerja yang kondusif, sedangkan faktor penghambat berasal dari motivasi individu yang fluktuatif dan pengawasan yang belum konsisten. Secara keseluruhan, penerapan disiplin kerja yang baik berkontribusi signifikan terhadap peningkatan kinerja guru, ditandai dengan meningkatnya tanggung jawab, produktivitas, dan kualitas pembelajaran. Simpulan dari penelitian ini menegaskan bahwa disiplin kerja merupakan elemen penting dalam membangun profesionalisme dan kinerja guru secara berkelanjutan di lingkungan sekolah dasar.
