Abstract

To identify students’ creative thinking skills, appropriate instrument is needed. This study aimed to produce a valid creative thinking skills instrument. From several relevant studies, they only focus their research on developing skills instruments using a 4-D model approach and problem solving, while this research uses a project-based pursuit approach. The results of the validation of the three validators covering aspects of construction, substance, and language, revealed that the average score of the validation results for the construction aspects was 83% which was considered very valid. The average score of the validation results on the substance aspect is 86% with very valid criteria, and in the language aspect it reaches 85% with very valid criteria. Accordingly, this instrument of creative thinking skills is said to have been qualified with very decent and excellent quality for use in learning in schools to help teachers to assess students’ creative thinking skills.

Abstract

Critical thinking skill which is one of the important abilities in the 21st century is important to be trained in learning. The purpose of this research is to develop an AR-based worksheet on dynamic electrical material that is valid, practical, and effective to stimulate students’ critical thinking. The development model used the ADDIE model which consists of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation steps. The product developed was tested for validation, practicality test, and effectiveness test. The results of the validity test obtained a value of 81.80% with a valid category. The results of the practicality test obtained a percentage of 80.85% with good criteria. The results of the effectiveness test showed an N-Gain value of 0.67 with the moderately effective category. From the average pretest and posttest scores, it can be seen that the posttest average score increased by 39.04 which indicates that the use of AR-based worksheets can improve students’ critical thinking. It can be concluded that AR-based worksheets on the concept of dynamic electricity developed are valid, practical, and effective to stimulate students’ critical thinking.

Abstract

This study explores the integration of the Argument-Driven Inquiry (ADI) model with a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) approach in interactive e-worksheets to enhance students' scientific argumentation in food biotechnology education. Using a quasi-experimental pretest-posttest design, 60 ninth-grade students from SMPN 1 Tanjung Bintang were assigned to either an experimental group, using ADI-STEM e-worksheets, or a control group, using conventional printed worksheets. Data were collected through a validated open-ended test assessing scientific argumentation components: claims, data, warrants, and backing. Analysis of N-Gain scores, t-tests, and effect sizes indicated that the experimental group showed significantly greater improvement across all indicators, with a large effect size demonstrating substantial impact. The integration of ADI and STEM not only fostered deeper cognitive engagement but also improved students' ability to form structured, evidence-backed arguments. These findings highlight the potential of combining inquiry-based learning with interdisciplinary STEM content in digital formats to enhance higher-order thinking and scientific reasoning. The study contributes to 21st-century science education and calls for further research on its long-term and broader effects.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the effect of implementing the Guided Inquiry learning model assisted by the Phyphox application on Science Process Skills (SPS) and Learning Interest in the topic of Collisions. The research was conducted at SMAN 1 Banjar Agung using a pre-experimental method with a one-group pre-test - post-test design. The sample used was class XI.5 as the experimental class. The instruments used included essay questions to measure SPS and a closed-ended questionnaire with a Likert scale to assess Learning Interest. This research employed Normality Test, N-Gain Test, and Paired Sample T-Test to determine the improvement in students' SPS and Learning Interest. The results showed that the implementation of the Guided Inquiry learning model assisted by the Phyphox application had an effect on improving students' Science Process Skills and Learning Interest. This was indicated by the N-Gain values from the pre-test – post-test results and the learning interest questionnaire in the experimental class, which were 0.598 and 0.525, respectively. Furthermore, this was supported by the Paired Sample T-Test results, which showed a Sig. (2-tailed) value of 0.000 < 0.05 for the overall data. Thus, the Guided Inquiry learning model assisted by the Phyphox application is effective in enhancing students' Science Process Skills and Learning Interest.
