Abstract

Penelitian ini mengeksplorasi problematika dalam pembelajaran berpikir kritis teks eksposisi di MTsN 6 Malang. Berpikir kritis merupakan keterampilan penting yang diperlukan untuk memahami, menganalisis, dan mengevaluasi informasi secara objektif. Dalam praktiknya, pembelajaran keterampilan berpikir kritis melalui teks eksposisi sering kali menghadapi berbagai tantangan. Data penelitian dikumpulkan melalui observasi kelas, wawancara dengan guru, serta analisis dokumen pembelajaran. Temuan penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat beberapa problematika diantaranya pengembangan tujuan dan indikator dalam rencana pelaksanaan pembelajaran belum mengarah pada indikator berpikir kritis. Dalam pelaksanaan pembelajaran siswa belum terbiasa dengan pola analisis dan diskusi yang mendalam dengan berbagai sudut pandang. Dalam perangkat asesmen kemampuan berpikir kritis masih perlu ditingkatkan, terutama dalam variasi metode asesmen dan kualitas umpan balik yang diberikan kepada siswa.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui berbagai bahan ajar berdasarkan fungsinya, bentuknya, strategi pembelajaran, model dan metode yang digunakan pada pembelajaran materi cerita pendek kelas VIII SMP di Kabupaten Bondowoso. Jenis penelitian ini yaitu penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif. Data dikumpulkan melalui teknik observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi untuk memperoleh informasi mengenai perencanaan, pelaksanaan, serta evaluasi pembelajaran. Hasil penelitian diperoleh dari angket wawancara guru, kuisioner peserta didik dan pengamatan di kelas. Responden merupakan lima guru bahasa Indonesia dan 152 Peserta didik kelas VIII Fase D SMP dari sekolah yang berbeda di SMP Swasta Kabupaten Bondowoso yaitu yaitu SMP YIMA Islamic School, SMP Katholik Indra Prastha, SMP Islam Terpadu BIC, SMP Muhammadiyah Bondowoso, dan SMP Islam Darul Ihsan. Peneliti menganalisis data dengan langkah-langkah reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Implementasi pembelajaran merupakan tahap krusial dalam memastikan tujuan pendidikan tercapai secara efektif dan bermakna. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pada saat pembelajaran cerita pendek, selain buku utama dari Kemendikbud, guru juga memilih buku teks pendamping dari penerbit swasta yaitu dari penerbit Tiga Serangkai, Erlangga, dan Intan Pariwara. Lalu terdapat beberapa sekolah yang sudah mulai menggunakan bahan ajar digital dalam pembelajaran di kelas. Bahan ajar digital tersebut berupa power point, barcode dan ¬e-book. Stategi pembelajaran yang dipilih disesuaikan dengan kebutuhan pembelajaran. Selanjutnya, penggunaan bahan ajar materi cerita pendek berdasarkan model dan metode pembelajarannya yaitu model pembelajaran bermasis alam dan model pembelajaran outdoor learning.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui ragam bahan ajar menulis puisi dan menyusun konstruk bahan ajar menulis puisi. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan metode literature review. Teknik pemilihan literatur didasarkan pada kata kunci bahan ajar menulis puisi. Sumber referensi diambil dari jurnal nasional terakreditasi pada google scholar dengan spesifikasi yaitu: (1) terpublikasi dalam 5 tahun terakhir, (2) berkaitan dengan pengembangan bahan ajar menulis puisi, dan (3) penelitian dilakukan di tingkat SMP dan SMA. Hasil penelitian ini adalah ragam bahan ajar menulis puisi dengan menerapkan model pembelajaran (picture and picture, PjBL, HOTS, dan concept attainment), pendekatan pembelajaran (basis kearifan lokal dan menetapkan tema mitigasi bencana dan lingkungan), dan strategi pembelajaran (padanan kata, pemodelan, dan pembelajaran kreatif-produktif). Selain itu terdapat intervensi bahan ajar menulis puisi yang menggabungkan ketiga model tersebut yaitu desain pembelajaran diferensiasi dengan tema SMART, media foto berbasis pendidikan karakter peduli lingkungan, basis peduli lingkungan dengan model PjBL, dan model picture and picture berbasis nasionalisme. Implikasi dari hasil penelitian mengenai kajian literatur ini menghasilkan konstruk bahan ajar dengan pendekatan pembelajaran bermuatan pendidikan ekologi. Selain memudahkan siswa dalam proses menemukan ide dalam menulis puisi, bahan ajar menulis puisi bermuatan pendidikan ekologi mampu meningkatkan kesadaran ekologi dan mempersiapkan peserta untuk berkontribusi dalam upaya pelestarian lingkungan di masa yang akan datang.

Abstract

Technology-based learning media is favored by students. This research aims to produce a news summary writing page for grade VIII junior high school students with a text-based introduction strategy. The method used is Borg & Gall's research and development modified by the researcher. This study obtained an average score of 85% from validators, an average score of 88% from teachers, and an average score of 85% from students. The material on the page is organized based on the text-based introduction strategy, including the definition of writing the conclusion of the news, the stages of writing the conclusion of the news, and examples of news conclusions. Features in the learning page, namely the material menu, can be added images and videos, the discussion menu as a place to express ideas or ideas, and the assessment menu is used to collect the results of individual student assignments. The learning page is accessed offline using a local network connecting servers and devices.

Abstract

Teachers are required to have various competencies in the process of transferring knowledge to their students, as are BIPA teachers. Quality teaching competency is an important aspect in the successful achievement of student competency. Therefore, discussions on teacher competence are important as supporting the success of second language learning, in the context that will be carried out, namely the competence of BIPA teachers in writing scientific papers. This is done because writing skills are skills that are difficult to learn and teach. Additionally, consider BIPA which is increasingly popular for non-native speakers to follow. The objectives of this PKM are (1) to provide training in an effort to increase the competency in writing scientific papers of BIPA teachers, (2) to provide insight related to the use of technology in writing scientific papers. This activity was carried out at Yala Rajabhat University, Thailand. This location was chosen because it held BIPA learning and there were problems regarding inadequate insight in writing scientific papers in the context of Indonesian language and culture.The solution offered is to provide academic writing material (1) paraphrasing and quoting skills, (2) word or lexical variations, (3) active and inactive sentences, (4) thinking processes which include ability to understand written information, (5) structure and development of arguments in micro and macro stages. In addition, to achieve the second goal, provide insights related to the use of Mendeley, Vos Viewer, and Sciendiret and Scihub. It is hoped that these two indicators will be able to solve the problems faced by BIPA teachers

Abstract

Indonesian has become the official language of the UN. Many BIPA students want to learn Indonesian online. However, online learning creates obstacles such as time differences between teachers and BIPA students, internet connections, and providing less than optimal feedback. This research aims to develop m-learning with automatic feedback for BIPA level 2 learners. This research uses a 4D development model: define, design, develop and deploy. This study's instrument is  a questionnaire distributed to 2 validators and 18 BIPA learners. The results of this study are m-learning products that minimize internet connections; once installed, students only need to be connected to the internet when working on questions. In addition, m-learning is also equipped with automatic feedback that appears immediately after students answer questions. The results of the product trial show that students can use m-learning to learn anytime and anywhere, including in areas with minimal internet access. Automatic feedback in m-learning also helps students learn independently because they do not need to wait for feedback from teachers. The automatic feedback in M-learning is only for listening and reading questions while speaking and writing questions are still in the form of answer keywords or assessment rubrics that the teacher must correct. Based on expert validation and product trials with an average score of 88.8, we conclude that the development of m-learning is suitable for BIPA level 2 students.

Abstract

This study measures the effectiveness of the use of project-based learning strategies for learning to write essay texts that contain archipelago and maritime insights in grade XII students of SMAN Taruna Nala Malang. The low writing skills among students are the background of this study because students experience difficulties in organizing their minds and developing essay frameworks and have limited vocabulary. Students can increase creativity and independence as well as responsibility and confidence and critical thinking skills because project-based learning strategies are chosen. This study uses an experimental method and uses a one group pretest-posttest design. A total of 22 students in grades XII-4 of SMAN Taruna Nala Malang participated in the research. The results of the study showed a significant improvement in students' writing skills after the implementation of this strategy, with an average increase in pretest and posttest scores of 18.15. The normality test showed normal distributed data, and the t-test showed a significance of 0.02 < 0.05, meaning that there was a significant influence from the implementation of the chosen strategy. The effectiveness of this strategy is included in the medium category with an average n-gain value of 0.419. This study proves that project-based learning strategies are effective in improving essay writing skills with archipelago and maritime insights.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan meningkatkan kompetensi pengajar dan calon pengajar BIPA dalam memanfaatkan kecerdasan buatan (AI) untuk pengembangan media pembelajaran. Pelatihan diikuti oleh 32 peserta dan dilaksanakan melalui empat tahap: persiapan, lokakarya, pendampingan intensif, serta evaluasi. Peserta dikenalkan pada konsep AI, etika penggunaannya, dan praktik pembuatan media interaktif menggunakan aplikasi seperti Veed.IO, Plotagon, Adobe Express AI, Renderforest, Gemini, dan Invideo.ai. Produk yang dihasilkan meliputi video, animasi kosa kata, dan presentasi multimedia yang mendukung pengajaran BIPA. Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan skor rata-rata kebermanfaatan sebesar 87, kemudahan penggunaan 83, dan niat untuk menggunakan AI 83, yang mengindikasikan penerimaan positif terhadap teknologi ini. Umpan balik peserta juga menyoroti peningkatan literasi digital, kreativitas, dan kesadaran etis dalam penggunaan AI, dengan penekanan pada pentingnya menjaga keseimbangan antara inovasi teknologi dan nilai budaya. Temuan ini menegaskan bahwa pelatihan berbasis praktik dan pendampingan efektif dalam mendorong integrasi AI secara berkelanjutan dalam pembelajaran BIPA, sekaligus memperkuat kemampuan guru dalam menyajikan materi yang menarik, interaktif, dan bermakna bagi penutur asing.

Abstract

Story writing materials grounded in Bugis cultural values. The research addresses students' difficulties in idea formulation, plot development, diction, and lack of confidence in writing short stories, compounded by limited relevant textbooks. The study aims to describe teachers' concrete needs, strategies for integrating cultural content, and to formulate guidelines for developing contextual and relevant teaching materials. Using a qualitative method with interviews involving three Indonesian language teachers in South Sulawesi, data were analyzed thematically to uncover their views and experiences. The findings highlight four key areas: (1) student difficulties in short story writing; (2) textbook limitations; (3) the potential of utilizing Bugis culture as a contextual and relevant element in teaching materials; and (4) the urgency of leveraging digital technology as a learning support tool. These findings affirm that teachers respond positively to integrating Bugis cultural values and digital technology into short story writing instruction. This integration can enrich content, strengthen student character, and make learning more relevant to students' daily lives. Thus, this research contributes to the development of contextual teaching materials that appreciate local wisdom, emphasizing the urgency of a culture-based approach in Indonesian language learning. However, this study is limited by the number of participants and requires further comprehensive material development, validation, and field testing.

Abstract

Learning Indonesian for Foreign Speakers (BIPA) is closely related to cultural learning. Language acquisition requires not only fluency, but also an understanding of its cultural context. However, introducing culture to BIPA learners, especially through traditional media, such as images or textbooks, can make learning less effective and interesting. This study aimed to develop virtual reality (VR)-based learning media to introduce local Malang culture to foreign speakers. This study used the four-stage development method designed by Thiagarajan. Four stages are defined: design, development, and dissemination. The VR media were validated by BIPA experts and tested on seven learners from China, Taiwan, Vietnam, and Yemen. The product trial results show that the visual and audio quality received a score of (81.6), ease of use (80), VR's ability to provide a realistic experience of Malang cultural life (84), VR's ability to increase interest in learning Indonesian culture (85), VR's ability to increase cultural knowledge (82.5), suitability to needs (81.2), and VR's effectiveness as a cultural learning medium (82.5). This study confirms that VR is an engaging and effective tool for introducing local culture to BIPA students in line with their needs and expectations, especially those who are familiar with immersive technology.
