Abstract

This article aims to analyze how the literature on digital marketing capabilities explains competitive advantage and to assess the extent to which Resource-Advantage Theory can be used as an integrative lens for understanding the relationships among resources, capabilities, and market outcomes. This study employs a systematic literature review approach following the PRISMA. The review was conducted through descriptive bibliometric analysis and keyword mapping using VOSviewer, based on metadata and abstracts. The findings show a significant increase in publications in 2024-2025, with dominant themes including digital marketing, competitive advantage, business performance, social media, big data/AI, data governance, marketing agility, customer experience, and sustainability. The review also confirms that the resource-based view and dynamic capabilities are the dominant theoretical foundations, whereas Resource-Advantage Theory has not yet been used explicitly. Accordingly, this study proposes a Resource-Advantage process model and a future research agenda that emphasizes innovation, trust, data governance, and sustainability.

Abstract

Entrepreneurial human capital has increasingly been recognized as a critical determinant of entrepreneurial success, innovation, and business sustainability. While previous studies have extensively examined entrepreneurial attitude and entrepreneurial skills, these dimensions have often been investigated separately, resulting in fragmented understanding of how they collectively contribute to entrepreneurial human capital. This study aims to synthesize existing empirical evidence on the roles of entrepreneurial attitude and entrepreneurial skills and to examine their integration within the entrepreneurial human capital framework. A systematic literature review (SLR) was conducted following the PRISMA guidelines. Relevant studies published between 2000 and 2025 were identified through searches in Scopus, Web of Science, ScienceDirect, and SpringerLink using structured Boolean search strings. After applying predefined inclusion, exclusion, and quality assessment criteria, eligible empirical studies were analyzed through thematic synthesis. The findings reveal that entrepreneurial attitude functions as a motivational resource that influences entrepreneurial intention, opportunity recognition, persistence, and the willingness to invest in entrepreneurial learning. Entrepreneurial skills, including opportunity recognition, decision-making, leadership, networking, and risk management, provide the operational capabilities required to transform entrepreneurial intentions into effective entrepreneurial actions. More importantly, the review demonstrates that entrepreneurial attitude and entrepreneurial skills are complementary dimensions whose interaction forms a stronger and more comprehensive entrepreneurial human capital than either dimension alone. This study contributes to entrepreneurship literature by proposing a multidimensional conceptualization of entrepreneurial human capital that integrates motivational and competency-based resources. The findings also highlight the importance of entrepreneurship education and training programs that simultaneously foster positive entrepreneurial attitudes and practical entrepreneurial competencies to enhance entrepreneurial performance and sustainable venture success.

Abstract

This research aims to systematically review the relationship between entrepreneurial leadership and innovation, focusing on key mechanisms and emerging research trends. A Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach was applied following PRISMA 2020 guidelines. Relevant articles published between 2019 and 2025 were collected from major databases, including Scopus, Web of Science, and ScienceDirect. After a rigorous screening process, 32 studies were selected for analysis. The findings reveal that entrepreneurial leadership significantly enhances innovation outcomes, including innovation performance, innovative behavior, and organizational innovation capability. The relationship is often mediated by psychological factors such as creativity, work engagement, and psychological empowerment, as well as knowledge-based mechanisms including knowledge sharing and organizational learning. In addition, organizational context and digital factors, such as digital capability and artificial intelligence readiness, play an important role in strengthening innovation. This study contributes by synthesizing current literature, identifying research gaps, and proposing directions for future research on entrepreneurial leadership and innovation.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the dynamics and trends of environmental communication research in sustainable development through the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach and bibliometric analysis using VOSviewer. Data were obtained from the Scopus database for the period 2017–2026 and analyzed using the PRISMA framework and the PICO approach to ensure the relevance of the literature. The results of the study show that there has been a significant increase in environmental communication publications in the past decade. The bibliometric analysis identifies four main clusters, namely strategic concepts, policy and impact, behavioral and social, and normative and institutional aspects. The findings also show the fragmentation of knowledge and the dominance of technocratic approaches that position communication as an instrument of behavior change. In addition, the environmental communication paradigm evolved from a linear model to a participatory, digital, and integrative approach. This research emphasizes the importance of developing a more holistic, critical, and multidisciplinary environmental communication model in supporting sustainable development.

Abstract

The advancement of information technology has transformed how governments communicate public policies, including environmental policies. In West Sumatra, environmental policy communication requires not only fast and open communication channels but also approaches aligned with the socio-cultural characteristics of Minangkabau society. This article examines the use of information technology in communicating environmental policy through a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) guided by the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) framework. From an initial corpus of 35 entries, 22 articles were retained for thematic synthesis. The findings show that information technology plays a significant role in expanding the reach of policy communication, enhancing transparency, accelerating government responsiveness, and opening spaces for public participation. However, its effectiveness depends on message quality, communicator credibility, public digital literacy, data openness, inter-agency coordination, and alignment with local values. This article proposes a conceptual model of IT-based environmental policy communication that is participatory, transparent, adaptive, and contextually grounded.

Abstract

The presence of SMEs plays a crucial role in a country, as it demonstrates how entrepreneurship contributes to improved economic growth.Globalization has led to increasingly fierce business competition, requiring business actors to continue to innovate. However, in reality, the ability to innovate and competitiveness are major weaknesses for most SMEs, including those in Padang City. Therefore, business actors should apply intellectual capital. The application of intellectual capital can enhance competitive advantage through the creation of more innovative products, thereby positively impacting SMEs performance. The approach employed in this research is a Systematic Literature Review (SLR), focusing on articles published between 2020 and 2025. These articles were sourced from prominent online academic databases and accessed through the website https://www.sciencedirect.com/. Based on a thorough review of twenty-five articles in the database, it was found that the majority of researchers, 21 articles, identified three dimensions of intellectual capital: human capital, relational/customer capital, and structural capital. This finding aligns with the study by Sulastri, et al (2020), who also developed dimensions that can effectively measure intellectual capital in SME-scale companies, particularly in the city of Padang. In total, there are 22 statements that can be used to assess the intellectual capital of SME-scale companies.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the perceptions of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) towards knowledge sharing practices in Padang City. The research approach used is causal-quantitative, with primary data collection through distributing questionnaires to 90 MSME respondents. To support the empirical analysis, this study is also supplemented with secondary data through a systematic literature study of 12 relevant scientific articles, published between 2004 and 2024, and obtained from the Google Scholar and ScienceDirect databases. The results of the analysis show that the average Total Composite Rating (TCR) score for knowledge sharing practices is at 75.19%, which is included in the "quite good" category. Specifically, the knowledge donating dimension scored 74.93%, while knowledge collecting recorded a slightly higher score, namely 75.44%. This finding reflects that MSMEs have a positive level of awareness of the importance of knowledge sharing, but its implementation is still informal and has not been systematically documented. The results of the literature study support these findings, by showing that knowledge sharing practices in the global MSME sector tend to be unstructured and still lack technological support. Therefore, this study recommends the importance of developing a systematic knowledge sharing strategy and external support to build a collaborative culture in the MSME ecosystem

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to identify and analyze the relationship between internal marketing and marketing strategy through a systematic literature review (SLR) and bibliometric analysis, focusing on their application in Indonesia using ScienceDirect data from 2020 to 2025. Utilizing PRISMA and VOS viewer, the research narrowed down 105,612 records to 29 relevant articles in business, management, and accounting. Findings highlight that internal marketing, pioneered by Berry in 1981, enhances employee motivation and commitment, thereby strengthening marketing strategies to boost market share, customer loyalty, and competitive advantage. The analysis reveals a strong connection between the two concepts, particularly in fostering organizational culture, market orientation, and brand performance. However, gaps remain, such as the lack of direct measurement of internal marketing’s impact on performance metrics like ROI or customer satisfaction, and limited integration of digital technologies like AI. Notable contributions from researchers like Yonggui Wang (311 citations) emphasize the concepts’ significance, though the low publication count per author suggests a need for more collaborative efforts. The study recommends future empirical research to establish causal links and explore technology’s role in internal marketing, particularly in Indonesia’s service sectors like higher education, to enhance marketing strategies as of now.

Abstract

Live-streaming commerce has reshaped digital retail by integrating real-time interaction and immersive social environments that drive emotional responses and stimulate impulsive buying. Although the Stimulus–Organism–Response (SOR) framework and the Pleasure–Arousal–Dominance (PAD) model have been frequently applied in previous studies, their integration receives little attention, and the dominance dimension is often overlooked. Therefore, this study systematically maps the intellectual structure and thematic evolution of research to examine the relationships between social presence, affective states, and impulsive buying in live-streaming commerce. Using a bibliometric-based systematic literature review, 998 articles published between 2021 and 2026 were retrieved through Publish or Perish and Google Scholar. From this pool, 18 Scopus-indexed business and management studies were chosen as they met the PRISMA inclusion criteria. VOSviewer analysis reveals a strong empirical concentration on pleasure and arousal as primary mediating mechanisms, while the dominance is noticeably under-explored and the integration of SOR is often incomplete. This study enhances the PAD–SOR framework by demonstrating how the interplay between emotional arousal and emotion regulation influences impulsive purchasing in immersive digital commerce.
