Abstract

Multi representasi dapat digunakan untuk mengetahui tingkat pemahaman yang dimiliki oleh mahasiswa. Identifikasi pola kesulitan belajar fisika berdasarkan kemampuan multi representasi terhadap pemecahan masalah telah dilakukan melalui metode kualitatif model grounded theory, dan dilaksanakan pada mahasiswa pendidikan Fisika Unnes Tahun akademik 2016/2017. Bentuk multi representasi yang digunakan adalah verbal (V), gambar/diagram (D), grafik (G), dan matematis (M). Kemampuan multi representasi mahasiswa kategori tinggi, sedang dan rendah memiliki kecenderungan representasi matematis (M) secara berurutan sebesar 67,85%, 79,92%, dan 75%. Mahasiswa kategori tinggi memiliki pola kesulitan belajar fisika yaitu, merencanakan solusi (memahami bahasa soal dan menentukan tahap penyelesaian) serta melaksanakan rencana solusi (menentukan persamaan), mahasiswa kategori sedang memiliki pola kesulitan belajar merencanakan solusi (memahami bahasa soal dan menentukan solusi), melaksanakan rencana solusi (proyeksi gaya, menentukan komponen gaya yang bekerja pada benda, menentukan persamaan, pengaplikasian, perhitungan), dan mahasiswa kategori rendah yaitu merencanakan solusi (memahami bahasa soal), melaksanakan rencana solusi (menentukan persamaan, membedakan simbol-simbol fisika, pengaplikasian persamaan, dan perhitungan) serta tidak melakukan pengecekan dan evaluasi.

Abstract

This research is aimed to know which ability students can develop through inquiry laboratory activities in Archimedes? law learning and its application to cognitive learning result. This research used mixed method. The quantitative data which were pre-test, post-test, and students? worksheets were taken to know the cognitive learning outcomes of students. Qualitative data presented in this research were video assisted observations and interviews with students as learning process. Those data were used to analyze the ability in observing, questioning, hypothesizing, designing, experimenting, interpreting data, and concluding which students can develop through inquiry laboratory activities in Archimedes? law learning. The N-gain shows that the inquiry laboratory activities in Archimedes? law learning improves students cognitive learning outcomes in SMP Islam Al Azhar 29 Semarang, SMP N 18 Semarang, and SMP Islam Al Azhar 14 Semarang. The Students? ability in observing, questioning, hypothesizing, designing experiments, experimenting, interpreting data, and concluding can develop with inquiry laboratory activities in Archimedes? law learning.

Abstract

The development of technology needed humans that qualified and high in order thinking. Hyphotetical deductive thinking is one of high order thinking. It is appeared on students of senior high school in Tambakboyo by their scientific research. Result of observation physics teachers RPP still used to talkative methode. Understanding abstract concepts need laboratory activity to formed thinking student. This study aims to know correlation between hyphotetical deductive thinking and concepts understanding, profile of thinking and concept understanding. The subjects was selected using saturated sampling. Design of study using sequential explanatory. There is positive correlation between hyphotetical deductive thinking and concept understanding. Correlation category on XI IPA is medium and strong. Correlation both of them was influenced by another factors like the difficulty of students and trouble in lack of time when do hyphotetical deductive test and direct current resistive electrical circuits test is easy because this subject was learned in X class. Profiles thinking in XI IPA is dominant on transition and hyphotetical deductive thinking. Profiles of concepts understanding by XI IPA on good and good enough category.

Abstract

Wujud kearifan lokal dapat berupa tradisi, yang tercermin dalam nilai-nilai yang berlaku dalam kelompok masyarakat tertentu. Kearifan lokal lebih menggambarkan satu fenomena spesifik yang biasanya menjadi ciri dari komunitas masyarakat tertentu. Kearifan lokal dapat berupa pesan-pesan moral dan juga terkait dengan fisik. Misalnya, membuat bangunan rumah bulat (umekbubu), menggunakan sumber energi alternatif, menggunakan bahan alam sebagai pewarna alami, menggunakan tanaman tertentu untuk obat ataupun pembersih, dll. Umekbubu di Kabupaten Timor Tengah Selatan (TTS) merupakan contoh bangunan yang didesain berdasarkan kearifan lokal yang bisa digunakan sebagai sumber belajar fisika bagi siswa. Rendahnya motivasi belajar siswa dalam belajar Fisika menuntut guru untuk bisa menciptakan suasana belajar yang dapat meningkatkan motivasi belajar. Potensi lokal yang ada di lingkungan tempat tinggal siswa dapat diintegrasikan dalam materi  sebagai peluang untuk meningkatkan motivasi dan hasil belajar siswa dalam belajar Fisika. Fokus yang dilakukan adalah mengidentifikasi kearifan lokal yang ada di Kabupaten Timor Tengah Selatan, menemukan bentuk pengintegrasian kearifan lokal pada materi suhu dan kalor untuk siswa SMA, mengetahui peningkatan motivasi dan hasil belajar siswa SMA dengan pengintegrasian kearifan lokal tersebut ke dalam materi suhu dan kalor. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kombinasi (mixed method) model sequential eksploratory, yakni kualitatif dilakukan untuk menemukan hipotesis dan kuantitatif  dilakukan untuk menguji hipotesis dari hasil kualitatif. Pendekatan kualitatif menggunakan purposive sampling sedangkan pendekatan kuantitatif menggunakan pretest-posttest noermalized gain. Hasil identifikasi menunjukkan bahwa di Kabupaten TTS terdapat 6 potensi lokal yang masih dijaga dan dilestarikan hingga saat ini, dari 6 potensi lokal ini hanya 1 potensi lokal yang digunakan  sebagai bahan untuk diintegrasikan dalam materi suhu dan kalor yaitu Rumah bulat (umekbubu). Potensi lokal umekbubu kemudian diintegrasikan dalam bentuk bentuk bahan ajar berbasis kearifan lokal untuk materi  suhu dan kalor. Motivasi siswa dalam belajar fisika menggunakan bahan ajar berbasis kearifan lokal menunjukkan kategori tinggi. Hasil belajar siswa meningkat dengan nilai N-Gain sebesar 0,97 dengan kategoti tinggi.

Abstract

Hasil survei American Institute of Physics (Heuvelen, 2002) menunjukkan tiga kompetensi yang paling sering digunakan dalam kehidupan sehari-hari, yaitu kompetensi memecahakan masalah, bekerjasama dalam tim, dan berkomunikasi, yang kemudian dalam penelitian ini disebut trisula kompetensi. Untuk mengembangkan trisula kompetensi melalui jalur pendidikan, terlebih dahulu perlu diidentifikasi faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhinya, terutama dalam konteks pembelajaran sains. Variabel kemampuan berpikir, pemahaman konsep, dan trisula kompetensi telah diungkap dengan sampel mahasiswa calon guru bidang sains. Hasil analisis data dari ketiga variabel tersebut menunjukkan bahwa terdapat korelasi positif antara kemampuan berpikir dan trisula kompetensi, demikian juga pemahaman konsep dan trisula kompetensi, walaupun korelasinya lebih rendah. Hasil penelitian juga menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan (pada α=0,01) antara trisula kompetensi pada kelompok mahasiswa yang tingkat berpikirnya empirical inductive dan transisi, sedangkan antara yang kemampuan berpikirnya hypothetical inductive dan transisi serta antara hypothetical inductive dan empirical inductive tidak berbeda secara sigifikan.

Abstract

Hasil observasi di MTs NU Ungaran menunjukkan bahwa masih rendahnya hasil belajar dan tingkat kemampuan berpikir logis siswa, terutama pada tema penglihatan. Selain itu juga belum adanya alat peraga yang dapat menjelaskan materi penglihatan, sehingga menyebabkan kesulitan siswa dalam memahami materi atau konsep IPA tersebut, oleh karena itu perlu adanya pengembangan media pembelajaran, dalam hal ini adalah alat peraga yang dapat menunjang proses pembelajaran yang juga dapat menjelaskan materi atau konsep IPA yang bersifat abstrak. Selain penggunaan alat peraga perlu adanya penerapan metode pembelajaran, dalam hal ini penerapan alat peraga berbasis guided inquiry yang dapat menunjang peningkatan hasil belajar dan berpikir logis siswa. Desain yang diterapkan dalam penelitian ini adalah penelitian dan pengembangan (Research and Development). Penelitian dilakukan melalui tahap pengkajian masalah dan pengumpulan data, desain produk, validasi, revisi, dan tahap uji coba. Subyek penelitian adalah siswa kelas VIII. Hasil penilaian pakar terhadap alat peraga yang dikembangkan 92,7%, penilaian alat peraga berdasarkan tanggapan guru memperoleh persentase sebesar 82,9% dan rata-rata hasil pretest 42,34 dan rata-rata posttest 78,12 . Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa alat peraga yang dikembangkan layak dijadikan media pembelajaran dan dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar dan kemampuan berpikir logis siswa. The observations result from MTs NU Unggaran indicate that the achievement learning  and student logical thinking was low, especially on eyesight mecanism theme. There is no teaching aids that can explain the eyesight material, that makes students difficulty to understanding the science of matter or concept. Therefore, need for to development of instructional media, in this case especially for teaching aids that can support the learning process can also explain the science material or abstract concepts. Besides using the teaching aid,  there is need for the applicate of learning methods. In this case is the aplication of teaching aid that based of guided inquiry that can support the improvement of achievement learning and students' logical thinking. Design applied in this study is the research and development (Research and Development). The study was conducted through the stages of assessment and data collection issues, product design, validation, revision, and test phase. Subjects were students of class VIII. The result of practicability test eyesight teaching aid from science teacher questionnaire obtained percentage of 82.9%. the pretest average score is 42,34 and the posttest average score is 78,12. It can be concluded that the teaching aid were developed has worthy to increas the learning achievement and logical thinking of student .

Abstract

Dalam rangka pembinaan untuk menjadi guru yang profesional, diperlukan Pengembangan Keprofesionalan Berkelanjutan (PKB). Pengembangan keprofesian berkelanjutan merupakan salah satu dari unsur utama yang kegiatannya dapat diberikan angka kredit. Sementara masih sering dialami kendala yang terjadi disaat guru membuat proposal maupun laporan penelitian dalam pembuatan latar belakang, landasan teori, teknik pengumpulan data, analisis data bahkan dalam kaidah dan lain-lain, seperti halnya yang dialami oleh guru-guru anggota Musyawarah Guru Mata Pelajaran (MGMP) IPA Kabupaten Batang. Guru-guru masih mengalami kendala membuat rancangan maupun pelaksanaan PTK karena keterbatasan kemampuan guru maupun pembimbing yang berasal dari Guru Pemandu. Kegiatan di MGMP IPA SMP Kabupaten Batang, sebagai wadah pengembangan kompetensi guru, khususnya dalam pembuatan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) masih belum maksimal. Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan guru IPA dalam merencanakan, melaksanakan, melaporkan, serta mempublikasikan hasil PTK pada jurnal ilmiah. Strategi yang digunakan untuk mencapai tujuan pengabdian masyarakat ini yaitu pelatihan dan pendampingan penyusunan PTK bagi guru-guru anggota MGMP IPA Kabupaten Batang. Kegiatan pelatihan dan pendampingan dilakukan melalui tahap analisis masalah, paparan materi, diskusi dan pada akhir sesi dilakukan pendampingan dalam merencanakan, melaksanakan dan mengevaluasi kegiatan PTK. Pada akhir kegiatan pengabdian guru sasaran telah menghasilkan proposal PTK dan telah memiliki wawasan pengetahuan cara mempublikasikan pada jurnal ilmiah yang akan dituju.

Abstract

The research aims to develop a learning evaluation tool on Newton's Law material based on a four-level test to determine the quality of the instrument and the ability of the metacognition profile in students. The research design uses R&D (Research and Development) with the latest 4-D learning development model (define, design, develop, disseminate). The sampling experience was carried out at 3 state senior high schools in the ex-residency of Pati, namely SMAN 1 Juwana, SMAN 1 Kudus, and SMAN 1 Rembang with a total of 185 students as respondents. The results of the analysis at the small-scale test development stage resulted in an average validity of 87.26% by experts, a reliability value of 0.68 in the small-scale trial stage, and 0.74 in the large-scale trial. The difference power test on the small-scale examiner resulted in 16.67% of the total questions that could not be used for the next major testing stage. The results showed that for each indicator of metacognition abilities, 31% of students 'factual abilities were in the understanding category, 28% of students' conceptual abilities were categorized as understanding, 32% of students 'conceptual abilities were categorized as understanding, 14% of students' planning abilities were in the understanding category, In the research results for the ability indicator as high as 17%, and the evaluation indicator as much as 6% of students were categorized as understanding. Students in the category of understanding have the highest on the indicator of factual ability, while the lowest is on the indicator of evaluation ability. The research resulted that the four-tier test evaluation tool was feasible to be applied in high schools to be able to explore the profile of students' metacognitive abilities.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of ICT learning media The Heroes on students’ activities and learning achievement of fourth grade in SDN Tingkir Lor 02 Salatiga. The method was used Quasi Experimental Design with Control Group Pretest-Posttest type. Samples in this study were IVA and IVB class as a control class and an experiment class, respectively. Collecting data was used test to measure learning achievement and observation sheets for student activities during learning process. Data analysis was used independent t-test analysis, one-sample t-test, N-gain test, and simple linear regression using SPSS program. The observation sheets was analyzed using the checklist formula. Based on the analysis data shows the ICT media on the learning process is effective in the improving student activities and learning achievement. According to t-test analysis, experiment class has higher tvalue compare to the control class 0.41. Then, for the simple regression analysis has tvalue 0.848. The last, N-gain score of the experiment and control class was obtained 0.4 and 0.2, respectively, there are including low and medium criteria. Furthermore, due to the observation result, the observation sheet score on student’s activities was 20.4 with good criteria. The use of ICT media The Heroes has a significant effect on students’ activities as well as improving the learning achievement. The results of this study can be used to train students to find new knowledge, to improve their learning achievement, as well as to improve the quality of learning.

Abstract

Current technological developments have penetrated into human life, such as the development of a smart home called a smart home, that can provide convenience, comfort, safety and efficiency for users. Internet of Things (IoT) can be used in smart homes to control electronic equipment such as lights and home gates. This research designed an automatic controller and light gate based IoT (Internet of Things) smart home system using a NodeMCU microcontroller with a prototype method that aims to save electricity, make it effective and efficient, and make it easier for schoolkeepers to turn on lights and control the gate automatically through the Google assistant. The results of this study are in the form of an automatic light and gate control system using the Google assistant application based on the Internet of Things Using a NodeMCU v3 microcontroller. Can be concluded with the automatic light and gate control system using the google assistant application by giving commands to the google assistant connected to the NodeMCU V3 microcontroller, it can make it easier for school administrators to make efficient and efficient lights or gates using the google assistant application and can facilitate school administrators to maintain the security of the Internet-based school of Things.
