Abstract

This article deals with the foundational base for integration of sciences trough interdisciplinary Islamic studies, with particular reference to UIN Malang and Surabaya. There are eleven IAINs/STAINs which have been transformed into UIN, each university has their own concept of developing Islamic knowledge. UIN Malang has the concept of pohon ilmu (the tree of sciences) and UIN Surabaya has the concept of integrated twin towers with three pillars. Although different in developing the concept, the two universities share the same perspective of perceiving the relation between general and religious sciences. The integration of science does not refer to the classification of its subject, but rather to the object of knowledge so that religious values can be transformed into different disciplines. It is hoped that in the long term UIN?with the foundation of the Qur??n and H}ad?th?can motivate the emergence of new sciences as blessing for the universe, or at least give new alternatives for the existing sciences, such as Islamic economics. The integration of sciences also needs to be articulated in learning models which are developed while emphasizing harmony between the intellectual tradition of higher education and local tradition of pesantrens.

Abstract

Several cases of juveniles have to some extent dominated mass media news recently and this worrying reality is contradictory to the purpose of education that teenagers are expected to achieve. In an attempt to solve this problem, various efforts have been made by educators and one of them is to promote prophetic-based education. This study was aimed at investigating prophetic education at Madrasa Muallimin/Muallimat (MMA) Bahrul Ulum Tambak Beras, Jombang. This research is qualitative descriptive using models of Miles and Huberman analyses. The data collected were analyzed through several steps namely reduction, presentation, and data verification. The results showed that the prophetic education was applied in MMA through internalizing Islamic values for students in their learning process. When it comes to internalizing values, MMA referred and addressed the local culture to cultivate for students. This process has been built since the establishment of MMA so that it has built students’ character which in turn gradually form the identity of the MMA among the society where it exists.

Abstract

This study aims to investigate how students search and process the information found on the Internet to meet the needs of their academic tasks as well as how they view such information compared to printed materials. The study was conducted targeting the student teachers at Primary School Teacher Education (PGMI) Program and Kindergarten Teacher Education Program (PGRA) in State Islamic University Sunan Ampel Surabaya. Such information search and processing are then later viewed through the lens of Blooms’ taxonomy. A qualitative method using the phenomenological approach is adopted in the study. Nine student participants of 1st, 2nd, 3rd-year classes were interviewed. The study indicates that the presence of the Internet as a source of learning has not shifted the role of the textbook as a primary source of information for the students while working on their academic assignments. It was revealed that the information search activities on the Internet have facilitated students to experience the four domains of the learning process in Bloom's Taxonomy.

Abstract

Minat baca siswa di MI Yaphiston Surabaya masih perlu didorong peningkatannya diindikasikan dengan sedikitnya prosentase siswa yang mengunjungi perpustakaan dan mengikuti kegiatan pembiasaan membaca. Hal ini dikarenakan keterbatasan buku bacaan non teks untuk peserta didik dan kurangnya pelibatan warga sekolah dalam menumbuhkan budaya baca siswa. Dengan pendekatan Community Based Research (CBR), proses pendampingan ini lebih menitikberatkan pada peran aktif komunitas sekolah dalam menyusun perencanaan, pelaksanaan, dan evaluasi hasil pendampingan ini untuk mewujudkan perubahan positif yang diharapkan. Tindak lanjut dari inisiasi ini adalah langkah aksi yang terwujud dalam bentuk: (1) pelatihan strategi pengembangan budaya baca dan pengelolaan perpustakaan bagi warga madrasah, (2) pelaksanaan program budaya baca di MI Yaphiston diantaranya adalah Iqra’ fis Shabah, Word board activity, kata estafet, perpustakaan terbuka, dan kunjung perpustakaan, dan (3) terbentuknya kepengurusan perpustakaan. Berbagai upaya tersebut berkontribusi positif dalam meningkatkan minat baca siswa yang diindikasikan dengan peningkatan pengunjung perpustakaan yang mencapai 90% (24-25 siswa dari 169 siswa melakukan kunjungan ke perpustakaan per hari). Lebih dari itu, madrasah semakin berdaya dalam mengimplementasikan Gerakan Literasi Sekolah secara berkelanjutan.

Abstract

Abstract The world is shocked by a global pandemic, known as covid-19 (Corona Virus Diseases-19). Almost all affected countries, including Indonesia. It affects all aspects of life, including education in Indonesia.Pemerintah enforce policies to work from home(WorkFromHome),worship at home, and learn at home. So that Teaching and Learning Activities (KBM) are replaced using online systems .  The application oflearning electronic(E-Learning) makes educators think seriously about the learning media that will be used. Various methods are used by Madrasas to facilitate these needs. One of them is making Madrasah Website as a learning tool that can be accessed by students from home.Keywords: Learning Media, E-Learning, Madrasa Website, Covid-19

Abstract

Some PTAINs develop a Ma’had in their campuss. This article is aimed at analyzing the integration of curiculum of UIN Maliki into those of its Ma’had which is called correlated curriculum model. Following this model, students of the Ma’had have to take several steps to complete their study. They have to obtain a certificate of completion of ta‘līm al-afkar al-Islāmī and ta‘lim al-Qur’ān which is required for enrolling in the Islamic studies program and taking comprehensive exam. The Ma’had applies Qur’anic-based learning system. This system maps the concept of science and the religious knowledge, integrates the concept of science and theose of the religious knowledge and elaborates the Qur’anic verses scientifically. The ma’had maintains the tradition of congregational pray, recitation and memorization of the Qur’an and promotes infaq and ṣadaqah. All these are to develop the Islamic culture among the academic community at UIN Malang.

Abstract

The essence of the title is an innovative inspiration for al-Dinul Islamic education with mobile learning quizizz at SMA SHAFTA Surabaya towards covid-19, the procedure for examining the culture of giving birth to procedures for changing policies as well as numbers covering a combination of teachers and students. In this combination, the teacher and student have other capacities and desires. Therefore, teachers and students have an appropriate understanding, there is feedback to realize educational procedures (transferring knowledge, levels, and skills as desired). Problems are always proven when education is running, not only for teachers but also for students. In this study, researchers focused on: 1) What are the problems of Islamic Education Teacher at SHAFTA SMA Surabaya? 2) How are the efforts to solve the problems of Islamic Education Teachers in SMA SHAFTA Surabaya?

Abstract

This study aims to examine online learning as a medium and innovation in active learning learning. Through this research it can be seen that online learning is distance learning that uses electronic circuits and is carried out through the internet media to convey learning content, interactions or guidance with teaching materials that suit the needs. The dynamics that occur in the digital era also function as a catalyst for the learning system revolution from what was previously manual and conventional to an effective and efficient system with the support of information and communication technology (ICT). The method used in this research is a case study with a research approach using qualitative methods that are used to obtain information in the form of interview data and documentation about the use of online learning in al-Quran hermeneutics courses on semester VI students of STAI Al-Anwar Sarang Rembang.

Abstract

From the fist decade when Soekarno declared Indonesia as Pancasila State, until 71th independence nowaday. Educationally, Indonesia had not an ideal concept how to indoctrine its form of pluralistic cultures and religions, which were emerged and lived in. Differently from another democratic countries, like USA, Australia, and Europian-Community, which faced the multi-ethnic diaspora, new social movement groups, and imigrant people, they reconcile the new concept of citizenship education system within social and cultural changs, as well as they faced. In facts, citizenship education often deliver as a political education as usual. There are no new approaches and systimatic curricular changes to adopt and adapt what presently heppend in the grassroot-society. So that, this articles will explore some progresive problems that shifted the pluralistic stance of Indonesian People. Eventually, in based on educational system and teaching learning posses in general school. The ultimate aims are growing approaches to teach pure Indonesian citizenship values, seem like, what democratic countries did for their citizen, after political abnormal contestation, such as the rise of radicalism, ethnic or racial conflict, and so on. Thus, this article also will focuss on ‘Ahok Tragedy’ which are re-contested a a living historical conflict; Islamic and Nationalist stance of Indonesian identity.

Abstract

This study aims to find out information on the perception of guardians of MI Nurul Huda 2 students in Mojokerto City in the use of Google classroom in learning the Qur'an Hadith in the middle of the Covid pandemic 19. The research uses an exploratory case study with a qualitative method approach to obtain information on student perception of guardians in the use of Google classroom on learning Qur'anic Hadith. In this study, there were 29 guardians of students in class 2 MI Nurul Huda 2 Mojokerto City. The instrument used was a questionnaire sent via online and interviews. The results showed that the guardians' perceptions of students regarding the use of Google classroom in learning the Qur'an Hadith were all stated to be an average of 60% of the socialization, planning and use, delivery of material and assessment of questions. And there are shortcomings namely the difficulty of the signal, spend internet pulses and alternately use cell phones at home. While the advantages can be seen directly in value after being corrected by the teacher, easier to use and understand the problem, and can increase knowledge in the development of technology learning.
