Abstract

The purpose of this study is to evaluate the Sekampung Way Bridge, which is located on the Sumatra Cross Road on the border between Bumi Agung Village in Tegineneng District, Pesawaran and Mandah Village in Natar District, South Lampung, with coordinates 105°10'33.75"T 5°11'49.65"S, is in the process of being rebuilt to improve services to road users. In conducting a bridge planning study, river hydrological factors must be analyzed to take into account the flood level and vertical clearance, so that the bridge remains safe despite extreme flooding. According to the Highway regulations, permanent bridges are generally planned with a building life of 50 years, For rivers that do not carry drift, the minimum clearance value is 1.0 meter. Therefore, the hydrological analysis was carried out using the Nakayasu HSS method with a Q50 discharge of 426.96 m³/second in 2.7 hours. From the results of 1D and 2D hydraulic analysis using HEC-RAS version 6.4.1, it shows that the elevation of the flood water level with a 50-year re-period is at an elevation of +75.23 m to +75.38 m, while the base elevation of the Way Sekampung Bridge is at an elevation of +79.44 m. Therefore, the clearance of the Way Sekampung Bridge is 4.21 m to 4.06 m, so it can be concluded that this bridge is safe from flood risk with a 50-year re-enactment period, although the potential for flooding around the Way Sekampung river bridge area is large. This is due to the slope of the river around the location of approximately 2.5%.

Abstract

Abstract

The increasing volume of waste poses significant environmental and public health risks if not properly managed. The management of unprocessed waste may be initiated at the household level by applying principles of the circular economy. This study aims to investigate the integration of bioconversion technology using Black Soldier Fly (BSF) larvae with an IoT-based air quality monitoring system for tofu dregs waste management. A microcontroller-based device was developed to monitor and control humidity, carbon dioxide (CO₂), and Total Volatile Organic Compounds (TVOCs) using sensors and an adsorption-based scrubber system. The results indicate that CO₂ levels decreased from 1470–1747 ppm to 400–483 ppm, while TVOC levels were reduced from 163–346 ppb to 0–6 ppb after treatment, significantly improving air quality and minimizing odor emissions. The combination of BSF larvae-assisted bioconversion and automated emission control demonstrates a highly effective and sustainable approach to organic waste processing, reducing environmental pollution and generating valuable byproducts for economic utilization. This system offers a scalable solution for future applications in circular economy-based waste management.  In conclusion, this system offers a scalable solution for future applications in circular economy-based waste management.

Abstract

This study investigates the challenges faced by creative economy actors in Senggigi Tourism Village, West Lombok Regency, in maintaining their business sustainability. The background of this research stems from the decline in tourist visits following the 2018 earthquake, the Covid-19 pandemic, and the rise of competing destinations such as the Mandalika Special Economic Zone. These conditions have significantly impacted the continuity of local creative businesses. A descriptive qualitative method with a case study approach was employed. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation involving actors in the creative economy. The data were then analyzed using thematic analysis and the fishbone diagram to identify the root causes of the problems. The findings show that internal challenges include limited product innovation, uncompetitive pricing, restricted distribution channels, insufficient digital promotion, inconsistent service processes, weak branding, and inadequate managerial and foreign language skills. External challenges include natural disasters, pandemics, competition from modern destinations, shifting tourist preferences, inadequate government support, limited access to financing, and underutilization of technology and networks. This study finds that Senggigi’s creative economy can thrive by embracing its unique culture, innovating products, ensuring fair prices and quality, and connecting more with stakeholders. Strong business management, skilled people, and digital marketing will help meet global challenges. The study’s results show how the 7P marketing mix applies to tourism, and provide clear steps Senggigi Tourism Village can take to stand out in the world.

Abstract

Bridges represent a vital component of strategic infrastructure, facilitating the movement of traffic and the distribution of logistics. Bridges facilitate connectivity between disparate geographical regions. It is of the utmost importance to prevent damage and failure of bridge structures. Bridge structure failure is the formation of local scour at the pillars and abutments of the bridge. The objective of this research is to assess the safety of the Way Sumanda-Sukamulya Bridge in regard to the potential for scour at the pillars and abutments. Topographic surveys, instantaneous discharge, and riverbed sediment gradation were conducted for the purpose of collecting data regarding the potential for scour. Ten years of rainfall data were obtained from the Mesuji-Sekampung BBWS, which served to corroborate the design flood discharge. An evaluation of scour was conducted using the HEC-RAS 1D.  The scour depth at the pillars ranged from 1.60 m to 1.89 m, while the scour depth at the abutments reached 2.28 m to 3.17 m. It was observed that the outer bend of the river presented a greater scour depth than the inner part. It is imperative that the Way Sumanda Bridge be periodically assessed to ensure that the risk of local scour is kept to an absolute minimum.

Abstract

The technology in observing tides has developed, with the discovery of sensors that can make observations of tides automatically. one of the sensors that can be used for tidal observation is an ultrasonic sensor that works based on the principle of ultrasonic waves. Natural phenomena that occur such as sea level waves can affect the accuracy of tidal readings using ultrasonic sensors. This study aims to design an ultrasonic sensor-based tide instrument that can reduce sea wave interference and calculate the accuracy of the reading results of the instrument. Data collection was observed per 1 second, then the data was divided into several intervals, that is 1 second, 5 minutes, 15 minutes and 30 minutes. The accuracy of the instrument is calculated based on the observed manual data per 30 minute interval, after that the data will be tested for correlation and significance between the variables of closed automatic instrument, automatic open instrument and manual observed. This study produces equipment for automatic tide measurement that can reduce waves with ultrasonic sensors. The results of testing the data from 3 observations obtained accuracy of the closed automatic instrument has better accuracy that is 99.1981%, 99.3007%, 99.3156%. Keywords: Tides, Ultrasonic sensor, Microcontroller, Arduino uno.

Abstract

Natural disasters often occur in hilly areas in Lampung Province, namely landslides. Landslides that occur due to increased pore water pressure. The 2012 GeoStudio SLOPE / W program can analyze slope stability that can be modeled according to the original conditions in the field and can know the value of the safe slope factor. In this study, there were three cross section slopes with three groundwater conditions, namely the condition of the groundwater level at the base of the slope, half the height of the slope and following the maximum height of the cross section of the slope. Land property data needed include : cohesion, shear angle in soil and weight of soil contents. Slope stability is achieved when the retention force is greater than the driving force. The results of the analysis of slope stability show that the condition of the groundwater is very influential on slope stability, can be seen from the results of GeoStudio SLOPE / W 2012 analysis in simulation 1 and simulation 2 safe factor values obtained >1.25 that is  slopes are in safe status, while in simulation 3 the saturated condition has a safe factor <1,25 that is unsafe slopes or landslides, it is recommended to take care to prevent landslides. Key words : soil, slope stability, safety factor, geostudio slope/w 2012

Abstract

Rainfall in Bandar Lampung has a different distribution value for each station which is calculated to carry out the annual maximum daily rain forecast required in road planning, water building and drainage. Getting rain distribution values requires a method that meets the requirements of Cs, Ck and Cv. But this study reviews methods that have a correlation value close to the value of one. In this study, a validation test was carried out in advance to normalize values> 500 mm which were then calculated through the Normal, Log Normal, Gumbel and Log Pearson III methods. Look at the correlation value of each method with a scatter diagram. Analysis of the calculation of the rain distribution method at the Sukarame rain station (PH-003) Log Normal method has a value of 0.96 which has a correlation coefficient value that is closest to the value of 1 (one) among the other methods in all rain stations. Log Normal method has the best average correlation value that is 0.85 then the Normal method has a mean correlation value of 0.74 followed by Log Pearson III method with an average correlation value of 0.35 and the mean correlation value of the Gumbel method -0.01. The correlation value obtained using the Log Normal method is seen both at Sumberejo, Sukarame and Pahoman stations. However, at the Sumur Putri station the value of the Log Pearson III correlation, with the normal log method, the data correlation value is the best because the data fluctuations are close to the value of 1 compared to other methods. Keywords: Correlation, Rainfall, Normal Method, Log Normal Method, Gumbel Method, Log Pearson III Method.

Abstract

There are several factors that effect the level security of a slope. Such as the condition of a slope with large loads, steep slope and heavy rain condition. The landslide and slope would often occurs on some double track lines on Martapura – Baturaja train because of this things. Therefor, the reinforcement is needed so that the slope is more stable around the slope. The results of physical and mechanical properties of the soil are based on the results of laboratory tests and research in the field. so the PLAXIS program was used in analyzing the stability of the existing slope based on the data. From the results of the program calculation shows that the condition of the slope is not stable. because the safety value indicates 0,89 for saturated conditions and 0,67 for dry conditions and 0,91 for partially saturated conditions. Furthermore, slope stability analysis who was reinforced by a combination of soil retaining wall and borepile. there has been an increase in safety value of 1,30 for saturated conditions, 1,66 for dry conditions and 1,65 for partially saturated conditions. This shows that the slope is stable and the reinforcement design is safe and able to withstand landslides. Keywords : Analysis of Slope On Sandy Clay
