Abstract

Natural disasters often occur in hilly areas in Lampung Province, namely landslides. Slides thatoccur due to increased soil pore water pressure. The GeoStudio SLOPE / W 2012 program cananalyze slope stability which can be modeled according to the original conditions in the field andcan determine the value of the slope safety factor. In this study, there are four cross sections ofslopes with four different layers with an angle of 30 ° each, and following a maximum height of 18meters.The results of the analysis of the GeoStudio Slope / W 2012 program using 4 methods of analysis, namely Ordinary, Bishop, Janbu and Morgenstern Price, obtained different safe factor values, theMorgenstern Price method and the Bishop method have a safe factor value that tends to be thesame and greater than the Ordinary method and the method. Janbu tends to have a smaller safetyfactor. The shape of the cross section of the slope in the 5 soil layers is the most safe factor, different soillayers, it can be seen that each layer of soil has different safety factors but does not differ muchfrom the others.

Abstract

The importance of soil as construction material needs to be considered carefully. With various soil conditions, a physical test is required to discover the characteristics of the soil and California Bearing Ratio (CBR) test in a laboratory to determine the bearing capacity of the basic land (subgrade). This research was conducted to assess the suitability of the CBR test value with two different compaction tools. The results of this study showed that the soils were classified into A-6 clay soil type. On the modified proctor compaction test, the maximum weight volume (γdmaks) was 1,70 gr/cm3, while the compaction with modified press tool obtained 1,75 gr/cm3. Based on the results of the values obtained from CBR standard test is 11,5% and 1,32% for the soaked sample .While the CBR value without immersion with modified press tool are 7,7% for 3 MPa, 16,2% for 6 MPa, 19,5% for 9 MPa, 20,5% for 12 Mpa. For the soaked samples are 1,53% for 3 Mpa, 2,7% for 6 Mpa, 3,56% for 9 Mpa, and 4,33% for 12 Mpa. In conclusion, the CBR value escalation is higher when using the modified pressure tool compared with the CBR standard method.

Abstract

This study aims to conduct a long storage study as an effort to overcome drought in the Cinta Manis area, South Sumatra. The research data used is the maximum daily rainfall data from 2009 - 2018 which was obtained from the Palembang Climatological Rain Station. From the research results obtained hydrological analysis data and hydraulic analysis. For hydrological analysis, statistical parameter methods are used to determine the planned rainfall. The results of this method were analyzed in harmony with the Chi Square test and the Smirnov-Kolmogorov test and the distribution type used was the Log Pearson III distribution. To calculate the water holding capacity in long storage, the cumulative storage volume analysis is used to analyze the volume that is bounded by a certain contour, with a simple formula published by the Manual of Sediment Control Dam Construction of the Ministry of Public Works. Based on the research results, it can be seen that the potential for long storage storage obtained from rainwater is 95771.18 m³ and water storage capacity in long storage which is 137334.43 m³ is able to serve 40.87 ha. The water storage capacity in long storage is able to irrigate the sugarcane fields in Rayon 1B and as a storage place for water reserves so that there is no drought when the dry season arrives. Keywords: long storage, rain, analysis

Abstract

AbstractThis research was conducted to study the tidal characteristics. The data used in this study are the hourly tide data measured in the field and the tidal data from the BIG with data length from 1985 to 1989 at the Tanjung Priok tidal station, Jakarta Province, Indonesia. This modeling is carried out using a data length of 30 days for a data term of 720. By using the observational data and applying it in the Anfor program which uses the least squares method, produces a tidal periodic model that is obtained using 9 tidal harmonic components. From the results of modeling and measured data it can be seen the correlation coefficient. Based on these results, it can be concluded that the measured tide data components with the BIG tide data components are similar. The average correlation coefficient between the two data sets was 0.9644. From this research it can be seen that the value of the tidal data is said to be very good. Keywords: daily tides, correlation coefficient

Abstract

Continuous waves crashing into the coastal area can cause abrasion on the coast and damage facilities and settlements in the area. Therefore, a coastal protection building is needed to reduce wave energy before arriving at the beach such as a breakwater. To design a breakwater it is necessary to pay attention to wave deformation, one of which is wave diffraction. Where the wave when obstructed by an obstacle will bend around the end of the obstacle and enter the protected area behind it. The complex phenomena of nature are described in terms of equations, but they are difficult to solve analytically. So in this study solved numerically with the help of a computer with 2D wave simulation software based on the principle of the hyperbolic equation propagation model. Then get the results in the form of diffraction coefficient values that are close to the results obtained in the physical model research that has been carried out. Changes in wave height occur after passing through the breakwater which indicates a change in energy from before and after passing through the breakwater.

Abstract

Loss of land due to coastal erosion that occurs naturally by wave abrasion. Therefore, to protect the coast from erosion or other matters, a breakwater is needed which destroys the energy of the waves before reaching the shore. This is the background of the author in taking the title of the thesis about the Performance Analysis of Wave Attenuation in the Hollow Type Breakwater Submerged Type 2-D Physical Modeling. The variables used in this study were incident wave height (Ho), calm water level (ds), and breakwater type. The results of this study indicate that the damping coefficient (Cr) was obtained using a sinking breakwater without a hole with a calm water level (ds) of 2 cm of 0.479 which is the most effective damping produced in an experiment using a breakwater that is free from calm water surface (ds). 2 cm. The wave attenuation obtained from the wave defraction test using 2 types of breakwaters resulted that the breakwater without the damping hole was greater than using a perforated breakwater.

Abstract

Subgradeis the most important part to be used as the focus and support of all construction loads that are on it. If the subgrade is clay soil that has a low carrying capacity and is very sensitive to moisture content, then nearby buildings will often suffer damage, such as land located in Marga Kaya Village. In this study using the method of mixing native soil with stabilization material in the form of uniform sand derived from Mount Sugih with a mixture variation of 5%, 10% and 15% of the dry weight of the soil. The test results showed cbr unsoaked and soaked maximum occurred in sand mixture 15% with CBR Unsoaked value of 13.2% and CBR Soaked with a value of 2.9%. Road pavement thickness on CBR Unsoaked and Soaked efficiently on sand mixture 15% with thickness D1 = 2.75 cm, D2 = 20 and D3 = 10 cm, and CBR Soaked with thickness D1 = 8.75 cm, D2 = 20 cm and D3 = 10 cm. The value of swelling decreased from 11.4% to 7.4% in the addition of uniform sand by 15%. DDT value is influenced by cbr value the greater cbr value then DDT will increase.

Abstract

This research was conducted to determine the impact of the areas where El Nino and La Nina were the most dominant. The data used in this study are daily rainfall data in 5 rain stations located in East Lampung. Data length from 1989 to 2018 at each station, this data was taken from the Mesuji River Basin - Sekampung (BBWSMS). This modeling is carried out using a data length of 30 years for a data term of 10957.By using observational data and applying it in 2 programs, namely the Fast Fourier Transform (FFT) and the Lomb Periodogram, it produces values that can be graphed for the spectrum of each of the 5 rain station areas, namely Jepara Lake, Labuhan Ratu, Taman Negeri, Kota Raman and Sri Gading. From the results, it can be seen which areas are predominantly affected by El Nino and La Nina. Based on the results of the two programs, both show that the rain station in the Lake Jepara area experiences more dominant El Nino and La Nina influences. Keywords: El Nino, La Nina, rain station, rainfall, Fast Fourier Transform, Lomb Periodogram
