Abstract

Supervision is carried out as an effort by people in authority in the world of education to supervise everything done by people related to the world of education, be it teachers, students, and so on. This paper aims to discuss the effectiveness of the implementation of supervision, with the method used is a literature review or literature study that contains theories relevant to the problems to be discussed, and the study describes the concepts and theories used based on the available literature, from books and articles that have been published in scientific journals. Supervision is carried out to find out what happens in an educational institution, such as if there is an inequality or problem in an educational institution, and the best way will be found to overcome the problem. This is an example of one of the importance of supervision. The effectiveness of the implementation of supervision will be carried out if it has gone through the planning stage, which, of course, has been mutually agreed upon by the people in charge in the world of education, so supervision is carried out in a directed and measurable manner by the agreed provisions to achieve the goals that have been expected together.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation process of the Cawisan tradition in Palembang City, identify the Islamic educational values contained within it, and analyze its impact on the community's social behavior. This research employs a qualitative approach with an ethnographic design. The study was conducted in the areas of Tangga Buntung, Kertapati (Kemas Rindo), and Seberang Ulu II (11 Ulu) in Palembang City. Data collection techniques included participant observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. Data analysis utilized the Miles and Huberman interactive model through the stages of data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The results of the study indicate that the Cawisan tradition is a form of local wisdom-based Islamic education that continues to persist amidst the modernization of urban society. This tradition is carried out through book recitations (kitab studies), tausiyah (religious lectures), remembrance of God, and religious discussions held alternately in mosques and residents' homes. The internalized Islamic educational values include aqidah (creed) values in the form of strengthening tawhid (monotheism) and faith; sharia (Islamic law) values through the habituation of worship and Islamic muamalah (social transactions); and akhlak (morals) values through the cultivation of etiquette, social solidarity, and ukhuwah Islamiyah (Islamic brotherhood). Furthermore, the Cawisan tradition is proven to have a positive impact on changing the social behavior of the community, particularly in strengthening social care, enhancing interaction ethics, and serving as a social control amidst the challenges of the digital era. This research underscores that Cawisan is not merely a cultural tradition, but a non-formal Islamic educational institution relevant to building the character of modern society.

Abstract

Budaya sekolah merupakan salah satu unsur penting dalam membentuk lingkungan pendidikan yang kondusif, aman, nyaman, dan berkarakter. Salah satu bentuk pembiasaan positif yang diterapkan di sekolah adalah budaya 5S, yaitu senyum, sapa, salam, sopan, dan santun. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh budaya 5S terhadap kepuasan siswa di MTsN 1 Palembang. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode survei. Populasi penelitian berjumlah 423 siswa kelas VII, sedangkan sampel yang digunakan sebanyak 206 siswa. Data dikumpulkan melalui angket, observasi, dan dokumentasi, kemudian dianalisis menggunakan statistik deskriptif, uji validitas, uji reliabilitas, uji normalitas, uji linearitas, serta regresi linear sederhana dengan bantuan perangkat lunak SPSS. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa instrumen pada variabel budaya 5S dan kepuasan siswa dinyatakan valid dan reliabel. Persamaan regresi yang diperoleh adalah Y = 7,887 + 0,481X, yang menunjukkan bahwa peningkatan penerapan budaya 5S diikuti oleh peningkatan kepuasan siswa. Hasil uji hipotesis memperlihatkan nilai t hitung sebesar 15,961, lebih besar daripada t tabel sebesar 1,652, dengan tingkat signifikansi kurang dari 0,001. Nilai koefisien determinasi sebesar 0,555 menunjukkan bahwa budaya 5S memberikan kontribusi sebesar 55,5% terhadap kepuasan siswa, sedangkan 44,5% lainnya dipengaruhi oleh faktor di luar penelitian. Dengan demikian, penerapan budaya 5S secara konsisten berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kepuasan siswa serta mendukung terciptanya hubungan sosial yang harmonis di lingkungan madrasah.
