Abstract

The implementation of Sexual and Reproductive Health (SRH) Education in Special Schools is starting to get special attention. Having a Special Program designed for Children with Special Needs is an important factor that SRH’s material must be taught in Special Schools. However, in reality this Special Program is not comprehensive in delivering SRH’s material, so that it is widely spread in several other subjects such as Sciences, Religion, Character, Sports and Citizenship Education. The research aims to see the implementation of the SRH learning model in an integrated approach with those subjects that conducted by teachers in West Java, East Java and North Sumatra. Research method uses the action research approach which focuses on four stages of research namely planning, action, observation and reflection. The subjects of the study are 41 teachers from three provinces who teach Sciences, Religion, Character, Sports, Citizenship Education and Special Program. The results of the study show that the integrated SRH model through special programs and subjects can be implemented properly. This can be shown from the number of teachers as many as 41 people who implement this integrated SRH learning model showing a presentation rate of 60.97% with good implementation results. This result calculated from total teachers spread across seven schools in West Java, East Java and North Sumatra.

The research method used is descriptive quantitative with One Group Pre-test and Post-test design. Data collection was carried out through tests with research subjects, namely six teachers from two elementary schools in Sumedang Regency. The results of this study indicate an increase in teachers' understanding of the learning characteristics of students with special needs with a percentage of 59.61%. So it can be concluded that learning videos are effective in increasing teachers' understanding of students with special needs. Abstract

Introducing money is a self-development skill for children with intellectual disabilities that is very important in their lives. However, this is often a problem and is misunderstood by children with intellectual disabilities. This confusion occurs because they are often presented directly as money, while their value and function are not well understood. As a result, the direct use of money as a medium becomes less attractive, has no meaning, and is only used as a toy that has no direction. The purpose of this research is to develop an Android-based learning medium that can help people with intellectual disabilities understand money as a whole. This study uses a mixed method with a sequential exploratory model design. This application test uses the Black Box, and the results show that the JARIMU application can be used operationally properly. Based on the feasibility test, the JARIMU application has a very good acceptance rate with a percentage of 86.029%. The implications of these findings are suggested to be applied by schools or teachers in introducing money for children with intellectual disabilities.

Abstract

Not every student gets a learning system that suits their abilities. Therefore, teachers need to know the stages of modifying the curriculum so that it is according to the abilities of students. This study aims to find the stages of modifying the Merdeka Curriculum at the elementary school level in the form of a learning program design in mathematics into fractional material that is adapted to the needs of students with learning disabilities. The research was conducted using the Research and Development research method, the development model carried out in this study used the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). The subjects in this study were one fifth-grade teacher and one slow learner who was in fifth grade at SDN 195 Isola, Bandung City. The results of the research found that after the modification of the curriculum, the subject's math score increased from 29 to 100. In addition, the subject dared to answer questions when asked to repeat the elements of fractions, another impression that the subject did not feel distinguished in giving teaching material.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is early to formulate a hypothetical program of family-based early intervention that’s considered feasible and expected to be effective improving expressive language skills in children with hearing impairments. The study used a qualitative approach with family research subjects of deaf children aged 6 years who still have residual hearing and domiciled in Bandung. Data collection techniques are carried out through observation, interviews, and documentation studies. Based on the results of empirical analysis of abilities, obstacles, needs of children, and efforts that have been made by the family and its results, and based on the results of theoretical analysis based on ecological theory of family roles and responsibilities, the program focuses on the application of intensive verbal communication in daily pragmatic life by all family members. In order for the program to be implemented properly by families, the principles of consistency, imitation, and attachment, as well as the application of transfer of knowledge and transfer of skills procedures are an important part of the implementation of this program.

Abstract

The existence of COVID-19 in Indonesia was officially announced by the president in March 2020 before the virus emerged in Wuhan China. School closure was conducted and the policy of distant learning was officially released by the Ministry of Education. This research aimed to find the challenges that teachers in Indonesia encountered during the COVID-19 pandemic outbreak and how teachers overcome the learning process challenges. The study was conducted towards primary school teachers in some provinces in Indonesia through an online survey with close-ended and open- ended questions. Our research findings showed teachers encounter challenges that include the disturbance in teaching and learning regarding accessibility, learning quality, school-home relationship, and technology awareness. Teachers also changed their ways of teaching by sending the learning materials via Google Classroom, WhatsApp (cross-platform messaging), and a few still conducted face-to- face meetings with strict policies.
