Abstract

Liquidity risk is one of significant risk managed by financial intermediaries including Islamic Microfinance Institutions (IMFIs). The financial intermediaries accept short-term deposits and disburse these deposits in the form of long-term loans. This situation makes IMFI desperately need a lender of last resort (LOLR). Nevertheless, there has been no formal LOLR for Indonesian IMFIs. This study intends to construct the LOLR model for IMFI in Indonesia. This qualitative study applies a case study analysis. This study's subjects are IMFIs in East Java Province that was selected purposively with thirty managers as the key informants. Research findings show that the best model of LOLR is developing a secondary cooperative since the majority form of IMFIs in Indonesia are cooperative entities. With all members of a secondary cooperative deposit for reserve requirements, they can place excess liquidity in the secondary cooperative and ask for financial support.

The independent variable used in the results of this study is given an X notation, namely: Islamic leadership and Islamic compensation. The moderating variables are organizational commitment (Z). The dependent variable of employee performance (Y). Measurements in the questionnaire using a five-point Likert scale. The analysis technique used in this research is Structural Equation Modeling with the Smart PLS (Partial Least Square) program. The result shows that Islamic leadership significantly affects employee performance, while Islamic compensation does not. This research proves that commitment as a moderating factor for Islamic leadership and Islamic compensation in Islamic boarding schools is not optimal. In Islamic leadership, commitment weakens the influence of Islamic leadership on employee performance and strengthens compensation on employee performance.

Abstract

The central role of leadership in boarding schools and its relevance in the economic development of boarding schools through the efforts of boarding school cooperatives still need to be studied. This research aims to analyze the influence of influential leadership on employee commitment, employee commitment on the performance of Islamic employees, and leadership on the performance of Islamic employees on business ventures managed by boarding schools. The research method used is causal. The sample is 100 respondents. The Independent variable used is Islamic leadership. The intervening variable used is employee commitment. The dependent variable is Islamic employee performance. The data collection technique is a survey. The analysis technique used in this research is Structural Equation Modeling with SmartPLS (Partial Least Square) program. The results show that leadership has a significant effect on employee commitment. Leadership significantly affects the performance of Islamic employees in boarding school cooperatives. In contrast, employee commitment does not significantly affect the performance of Islamic employees in boarding school cooperatives. Good leadership will help cooperatives to get employee performance which will ultimately have a good impact on business performance. In addition, good leadership will help increase commitment. Even though commitment does not affect employee performance in this research, it is essential to create an employee program to increase their commitment toward boarding school cooperatives.

Abstract

Customers are the most important factor in business because it is undeniable that customers are a source of income and the main goal of business. Given this, an enterprise must pay attention to customer satisfaction for sustainable operations. Enterprises show their concern for customer satisfaction by continuously improving and developing their service processes, as it requires a significant investment, so it should be done following the customer's preferences. Therefore, a business needs to measure customer satisfaction with its service process. This study aims to measure customer satisfaction with the service process and analyze the results of these measurements to provide improvement suggestions for service processes that customers find unsatisfactory. This study also analyzes Green Practice because previous research stated that Green Practice can indirectly increase customer satisfaction with a service. The results of this study indicate that the quality of the board game café services as a whole is still not good. They still need improvement and determine the priority for improving service processes according to the level of customer interest. In addition, customers considered the Green practices of the café to be satisfactory, so it does not require much improvement.

Abstract

Transportation services are one of the prominent sectors in the movement of the economy. The current transportation system should be arranged in an integrated manner in a single national-scale system to balance the readiness of transportation services and public needs. A proper transportation system can lead to the realization of the goal of building a firm infrastructure and sustainable-inclusive industrialization in the future. Qualitative case study of an SME in Indonesia using the Servqual, Kano, and Fishbone diagram. These three methods can analyze the relationship between quality attributes and determine the factors that influence the quality of a product or service. This study obtained analysis results using the Servqual method that six attributes have the highest gap between reality and expectations. Based on the results using the Kano Model, three classification categories include ten attributes, namely (1) Category O (One Dimensional), (2) Category R (Reverse), and (3) Category Q (Questionable). In addition, analysis of 10 service attributes that are priorities for improvement using the Fishbone diagram produces four main factors (Man, Machine, Environment, and Method) that influence the quality of SME services. This study enriches reference material for considerations in improvement efforts of service attribute weaknesses for transportation service SMEs.

Abstract

The absence of a structured method for revamping current or introducing new production layouts in small and medium-sized enterprises may hinder the flexibility and competitiveness of the enterprise. This study aimed to assess the existing production layout and offer improvement recommendations for a small and medium-sized food enterprise in East Java, Indonesia. Data was obtained through interviews with the owner and observation at the production site. The research employed systematic layout planning, utilizing activity relationship charts and diagrams. The findings presented two alternative suggestions for the production facility layout, with the study recommending the second alternative based on an evaluation of criteria. The second proposed alternative exhibited a total material handling distance per week of 1,812 and a total material handling cost of 17,961.96 rupiah, lower than the first proposed alternative. The managerial implications of this study pertain to the construction of facilities with a focus on technical and hygiene requirements, the design and layout of buildings and rooms, and the requirements for machinery, equipment, and transportation to ensure product quality and safety.
