Abstract

Community service activities are carried out for school principals and teachers of Kindergarten, Elementary, Middle and High Schools in the city of Salatiga, Semarang Regency, Ambarawa, Boyolali, Nias Islands, Sulawesi, Maluku, Papua and East Nusa Tenggara. This activity aims to equip school principals and teachers in understanding the concepts and practices of implementing the activator school program and free learning curriculum. Activities carried out in the form of online webinars with lecture and discussion methods. The results of community service show that the satisfaction level of participants in the first stage was at a percentage of 93%, in the very satisfactory category, and the satisfaction level of participants in the second stage was at a percentage of 91%, in the very satisfactory category. This shows that the implementation of community service has an impact on increasing participants' knowledge in implementing the activator school program and the independent learning curriculum.

Abstract

Children??"s character education becomes the most important part of the Indonesian education system. The church as part of the community has a moral responsibility to take part in it. Union of Indonesian Baptist Churches (UIBC/GGBI) launched Sayang Anak Indonesia (SAIN) movement and start the socialization 2017 to all church member bodies. This movement is a biblical based holistic children??"s character education to children aged 0-15year old which promotes the local cultural wisdom the cultivate nationalism. The method used in this research is research and development. The subjects were pastors, parents, mentors, and children. The data analysis technique used is descriptive qualitative. The results obtained in this study are (1) the implementation of SAIN movement in the regions has not fully met expectations due to the lack of information and communication between mentor and the national team; (2) mentor needs a practical manual to implement SAIN movement; (3) the result of this research is developing SAIN website as the communication, information and curriculum discussion media for a mentor. Abstrak Pendidikan karakter anak menjadi perhatian penting dalam sistem pendidikan di Indonesia. Gereja sebagai bagian komunitas masyarakat memiliki tanggung jawab moral untuk ikut berperan serta. Gabungan Gereja Baptis Indonesia (GGBI) meluncurkan gerakan Sayang Anak Indonesia (SAIN) yang mulai disosialisasikan pada tahun 2017 kepada gereja-gereja anggota. Gerakan ini adalah pola pendidikan karakter kristiani kepada anak usia 0-15 tahun secara holistik dengan menggunakam kearifan budaya lokal sebagai bagian penanaman rasa kebangsaan. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah penelitian dan pengembangan. Subyek dalam penelitian ini adalah pendeta, orang tua, pamong, dan anak. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil yang diperoleh adalah (1) pelaksanaan kegiatan gerakan Sayang Anak Indonesia di daerah belum sepenuhnya memenuhi harapan karena kurangnya informasi dan komunikasi antar pamong maupun dengan tim nasional sebagai penggerak; (2) perlunya panduan praktis pelaksanaan kegiatan gerakan Sayang Anak Indonesia; (3) penelitian menghasilkan pengembangan website Sayang Anak Indonesia sebagai media komunikasi dan informasi serta diskusi kurikulum bagi para pamong.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to describe the implementation of the steps of the project based learning model in increasing the independence and learning outcomes of grade IV students of SD 2 Blotongan. This study uses two cycles, each cycle has procedures including planning, action, observation and reflection. Qualitative data analysis techniques in the form of independent data analysis and quantitative data in the form of data analysis of completeness of learning. The results of this study indicate the application of project based learning learning models can improve the independence and thematic learning outcomes. This is indicated by an increase in student learning independence in the pre-cycle by 50%, cycle 1 by 85% and cycle II by 100%. This resulted in learning completeness which increased to 85%

Abstract

This research aims to investigates the impact of community-based partnerships on teacher teaching quality and student academic achievement. This study used a quantitative approach with structural equation analysis. The target population was 5 Catholic Junior High Schools (SMP) and Senior High Schools (SMA) in the city of Sibolga Gunungsitoli, Nias, North Sumatra, with details of 28 teachers for Saverius High School, 27 teachers for Fransikus High School, 27 Kesuma Indah High School teachers, 27 teachers for Bunga Middle School, Mawar 28 teachers, Kesuma Indah Middle School 21 teachers, and Francis Middle School 20 (teachers), bringing a total sample of 189. Confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) and hypothesis testing used the structural equation model through AMOS version 26.00. The results showed that Community-based partnerships in education could significantly positively impact teacher teaching quality and student academic achievement. Through collaboration between schools, communities, and teachers, this approach allowed for improvements in the quality of teaching that directly impact student academic achievement. These findings also support the theory of motivation, which asserts that community-based partnerships can increase student motivation through quality teaching and support from community members.

Abstract

Teaching is a profession, so it is required to be professional. The meaning is that the teacher must have a special quality that has been determined. Even so, it cannot be denied that there are still many teachers who do not meet these qualifications. Therefore, teachers need to improve their quality or competence by participating in neuroscience training. The purpose of this study was to analyze neuroscience education training can improve teacher competence, especially pedagogical competence. This type of research is SLR. The data in this study are from both international and national journals. The results of this study say that: neuroscience training can help teachers understand the characteristics of students in various aspects. By understanding neuroscience, teachers become masters of learning theory and educational principles of learning. By understanding neuroscience, teachers become able to facilitate the development of student's potential. Based on these results, it can be concluded that neuroscience education training can improve teacher pedagogical competence.

Abstract

Aims of this study explain 1) the process of implementing academic supervision that has been running in the city of Salatiga; 2) how to develop a web-based academic supervision model in improving the quality of education; 3) and find out the results of the effectiveness of web-based academic supervision models in improving the quality of education through limited trials. This type of research is Research and Development (R and D). This research development step uses the Borg and Gall model which is integrated with the PLOMP model. Data collection techniques using interviews and questionnaires. Data analysis techniques were obtained from interviews and analyzed using qualitative descriptive techniques according to Miles and Huberman consisting of data (1) data reduction; (2) data presentation; and (3) conclusions and verification. The results from the questionnaire are calculated to get an average value. Limited trials were conducted by 5 supervisors and 5 teachers with an average yield of 89.92% for supervisors in the excellent category and 89% for the excellent teacher category. Judging from the results of limited trials, this study was declared effective for use.

Abstract

This study aimed to know the management of school academic supervision activity that conducted by principal in the state primary school Pongangan, Gunungpati, Semarang area that included the planning, implementation, and the follow-up to increacse teachers’ performace. This research was conducted with qualitative descriptive method. The collecting data used interview, observation, and documentation. Research results revealed that (1) the planning of academic supervision by the principal at SDN Pongangan rated very good. (2) the implementation of academic supervision in SDN Pongangan a great fit the program, the schedule, the instruments that used according to the design, aspects that disupervisi votes had been lead on target academic supervision adapted to the needs of teachers and schools, the approach was with the program, academic supervision techniques used varied enough, the academic supervision of implementation constraints by the head of the school is the limited time; (3) the principal efforts made in the follow-up assessed academic supervision has been very good and hard-wired. Activities performed were: a) the beginning of each semester were held in groups/joint supervision of teachers meeting school/KKG school; b) performs the inverse to the teacher in order to reflect ourselves; c) implementing guidance on drafting/administration/creation of learning; d) emphasize on teachers that always paid attention to the discipline of work in carrying out the task of teaching as a teacher; e) provided guidance for teachers on how to teach in interesting and fun way; f) conducted coaching and guidance for teachers in the use of learning media, techniques/methods of teaching; g) provide a learning device formats that are new to the teacher, and taught how to fill them; g) For School Superintendent gave a complete written report in the end of years.

Abstract

This study aimed to develop a competitive strategy development model based on the new 7S's in Satya Wacana Christian High School (SMA Lab) Salatiga. Tthis study is research and development, where the study was performed only at the fifth stage, the potential and problems, data collection, product design, design validation, and revision of the design. This research was conducted in Satya Wacana Christian High School (SMA Lab) Salatiga. Interviews were conducted with principal, vice principals curriculum, student section, public relations, teachers, administration of the employees, students and parents to know the framework of the new strategy 7-S's on Satya Wacana Christian High School. While study documentation was conducted to determine the profile of the school, student profile, the work program of principals, vice-principals work program of curriculum, student affairs, and public relations. After the data collected, then the data was reduced, summarized, categorized, synthesized and presented in narrative form and tables. Model-based development of competitive strategy the new 7-S's on Satya Wacana Christian High School consists of four rare developments, the formation of the team, defining the vision and mission, the analysis of the new 7-S's, and strategy development. Formulation of a strategy based on the analysis of the new 7-S's on Satya Wacana Christian High School consisted of three frameworks, namely Superior Stakeholder Satisfaction which includes the satisfaction of customers and workers, positioning program, and strategic cooperative.

Abstract

This study aimed to evaluate the design, installation, process, product, and analysis of benefits and costs of the implementation of the Program Indonesia Pintar (PIP) in Improving Access to Education in SMP Negeri 7 Salatiga. This research type is evaluative research using Discrepancy Evaluation Model. Data collection techniques used interviews, observations and document studies. Data analysis through: data collection, data reduction, data display, and conclusion. Data validation uses source triangulation and technique. The research results: (1) design components are formulated with reference to PIP Juknis in 2015 covering aspects of objectives, processes, human resources, facilities and infrastructure, (2) installation components there is still discrepancy between PIP implementation objectives with PIP objectives in junior State 7 Salatiga, (3) process components, planned programs are running in accordance with PIP Permendikbud, although in the implementation there are inhibiting factors, (4) product components, the objectives achieved are learners can buy school purposes, paying school administration fees (5) benefit and cost analysis components, PIP funding benefits are great for underprivileged learners, although PIP funds are still very poor in meeting the educational needs of learners each year.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to (1) Explain the Implementation of Education and Training of young assistant teachers in Central Java; (2) Explain the weaknesses of the education and training of young assistant teachers in Central Java; (3) Describe the Educational Management Model and training of PAUD young assistant teachers through online media. Early Childhood Teacher Education and Training is a series of tiered PAUD teacher education and training owned by the Ministry of Education and Culture that can be organized by institutions that meet the requirements or have been designated as training providers. Online media used in this research are Information Systems and Video Conference Webex cisco meetings. The final product of this research is a model and supporting material in the form of a guide, which consists of a guide for participants, a guide for field officers and a guide for facilitators. This research and development uses a mixed method, using the seven steps of development from Borg and Gall, which is integrated with the ADDIE model. Data collection methods use instruments in the form of questionnaires, interview guidelines, and tests. The research subjects were organizers, field officers, facilitators, and training participants. Data analysis techniques using quantitative and qualitative descriptive. The results of the main trial phase showed that the education and training of PAUD young teacher assistants through online media was effective in increasing competency, this was seen from the increase in pre-test to post-test average points which rose 32 points and the graduation rate of participants was 98.2%.
