Abstract

Clean water is one of the basic needs that is needed and is an important concern in a residence for human survival. The condition of the springs is estimated to have experienced a decrease in water quantity due to human activities and changes in quality due to the change of dry and rainy seasons as well as traditional activities. This research aims to determine the quality and quantity of spring water based on physical, chemical and biological parameters based on RI Minister of Health Regulation No. 32 of 2017. These parameters are turbidity, color, TDS, temperature, odor, pH, Nitrate, Nitrite, Cr 2+, Iron, Mn, Total Coliform, E-Coli. The method used is a survey method for sampling and measuring discharge. The results show that the Total Coliform, E-Coli and Temperature parameters exceed the quality standards. This is an indication that there is a result of the dissolution of chemicals from the agricultural activities of local residents as well as the existence of the ruwatan tradition which uses organic materials put into ponds. Water quality that does not meet quality standards will affect public health and the surrounding environment.

Abstract

Abstract

Problems related to the sustainability of water resources often occur, both from the impact of the erratic change of seasons, the reduction in water catchment areas, to the many cases of water pollution in Indonesia. However, the main problem of all that lies in the community itself where awareness of the importance of conservation and management of water resources is still low. The selected study was located in Sengi Village, Dukun District, Magelang Regency, Central Java Province. The local community utilizes springs as the main water supply source, but the water management carried out by the community is still classified as less than optimal. Therefore, there is a need for conservation efforts so that the sustainability and function of these springs can be maintained properly. The results of the study showed that spring conservation was carried out by constructing a spring reservoir with a volume of 2 m3 for spring 1 and a spring reservoir with a volume of 5 m3 for spring 2. In addition, a social approach to the community in the local area regarding the preservation of the condition of the springs was also carried out. affixed area

Abstract

Post-mining land restoration is a crucial effort in maintaining environmental quality. In post-mining land restoration, there are revegetation activities by replanting plants consisting of the nursery process to direct planting on the revegetation land. This study aims to observe the growth of sengon butoh plants for 30 days using planting media consisting of topsoil, apu-apu compost, and water hyacinth compost on the land of PT. Vale Indonesia Tbk. which is dominated by oxisol soil with low fertility. Apu-apu and water hyacinth are utilized through an anaerobic composting process for 30 days. Observations of sengon butoh growth are carried out every 10 days. Pearson correlation analysis and one-way anova tests are used to analyze the data, with measurements of growth parameters including the height and diameter of sengon butoh plant stems. The results showed that apu-apu compost and water hyacinth compost were proven to be able to support the growth of sengon butoh plants in a mixed planting medium of topsoil, apu-apu compost, and water hyacinth compost. Apu-apu compost showed a moderate correlation to the increase in plant diameter. One-way ANOVA test with post-hoc Games-Howell indicated a significant difference between treatments 7 and 6 in the increase in sengon butoh height.

Abstract

Urban health resilience was increasingly recognized as a critical pillar of sustainable development, particularly in densely populated and disaster-prone cities. As part of the broader framework of urban resilience engineering, strengthening health systems was essential to prevent service disruptions and ensure continuity during crises. Emergency Medical Teams (EMTs) played a central role in this process by providing rapid, standardized, and sustainable responses. However, the Indonesian Emergency Medical Team (TCK-EMT Indonesia) had not yet achieved WHO verification, indicating persistent challenges in governance, operational readiness, and integration with urban health systems. This study applied the Edwards III policy implementation framework, which covered communication, resources, disposition, and bureaucratic structure, through a narrative literature review of national regulations, WHO standards, and After Action Reports from missions in Türkiye (2023) and Myanmar (2025). Findings revealed that although TCK-EMT Indonesia personnel demonstrated strong motivation and adaptive capacity, weaknesses persisted in communication delays, limited logistical self-sufficiency, and fragmented bureaucratic structures. These gaps undermined the ability of urban health systems to sustain essential services during disasters. Comparative insights from Türkiye and Myanmar highlighted how external facilitation, linguistic and cultural barriers, and governance fragilities critically influenced resilience outcomes in urban crisis contexts. The study concluded that strengthening TCK-EMT Indonesia was not only a step toward WHO verification but also a strategic measure for developing adaptive, integrated, and sustainable urban health systems. From the perspective of urban resilience engineering, enhancing EMT capacity constituted a pivotal effort to safeguard disaster-prone cities against increasingly complex health crises.
