Abstract

The role of the teacher becomes an interesting topic to discuss, no exception related to performance. Teacher performance is related to the success of teachers in carrying out their duties and obligations. However, many factors affect teacher performance. This study aims to examine and analyze teacher performance with various factors that influence it. The method used is quantitative. The population was all 911 state junior high school teachers in Kudus Regency. The number of samples was 186 teachers. Data was collected through a questionnaire that has been tested for validity and reliability. Furthermore, the data were analyzed using path analysis by SPSS program and the Sobel test to assess mediation variables. The results showed that: first, the influence of the principal's leadership, teacher commitment and emotional intelligence of teachers to work motivation is accepted; second, the influence of school principal leadership, teacher commitment and emotional intelligence of teachers on teacher performance through work motivation is accepted; and third the influence of work motivation on teacher performance is accepted. Work motivation has also been proven to be able to mediate the influence of school principal leadership, teacher commitmen and emotional intelligence of teachers on teacher performance. The performance of state junior high school teachers in Kudus in carrying out their duties and obligations is influenced by a number of factors including school principal leadership, commitment, teacher emotional intelligence and work motivation. It is recommended that teachers can maintain and even increase commitment and understanding and management of emotions so that it can have an impact on the performance of each teacher.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of pedagogic competence, academic supervision, work environment on teacher performance through work motivation as an intervening variable in SMK Negeri Kabupaten Batang. Teacher performance is the result of work or work performance carried out by a teacher based on his ability to manage teaching and learning activities in the classroom. The population in this study were all State Vocational School teachers in Batang Regency as many as 277 people. The sample size of the study sample was 160 teachers. Sampling was done by proportional random sampling. The research instrument used was a questionnaire which first tested its validity and reliability. Data analysis for hypothesis testing used path analysis and Sobel test to test the mediating variables. The results showed: (1) Pedagogic competence, academic supervision, work environment, have a direct effect on work motivation, the effect is positive and significant. (2) Pedagogic competence, academic supervision, and work environment have a direct and indirect effect on teacher performance by mediating work motivation, the effect is positive and significant. Professional guidance provided by principals to teachers is an effort that provides opportunities for teachers to develop professionally so that they are even better in carrying out their main task of teaching in the classroom. These teachers become able and willing to improve and enhance the learning abilities of students.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to analyze the direct and indirect effect of the principal leadership, school culture and teacher pedagogic competence on teacher performance through work motivation as an intervening variable. This research employs a quantitative approach with path analysis as the data analysis. The sample of this research is 114 students, consisting of 8 public high schools in Pati Regency and taken using proportionated cluster random sampling. Questionnaires were used as the research instrument. The results show that leadership, school culture, teacher pedagogical competence, and work motivation directly affected teacher performance. While on the indirect effect, work motivation was able to mediate the effect of leadership, school culture and pedagogic competence on teacher performance. The conclusion is that there is a direct effect of principal leadership, school culture and teacher pedagogic competence on teacher performance, and indirectly, work motivation is able to mediate the effect of the independent variables to the dependent one.

Abstract

Kinerja guru akan menjadi optimal, bila didukung kompetensi supervisi kepala sekolah, pendidikan dan pelatihan, kompetensi profesional guru dan motivasi yang dimiliki. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh supervisi akademik, pendidikan dan pelatihan, kompetensi profesional guru terhadap kinerja guru melalui motivasi kerja sebagai variabel intervening di SMP Kota Pekalongan. Populasi penelitian ini adalah guru-guru SMP Kota Pekalongan, sampel diambil dengan teknik proportional cluster random sampling dari tiap sekolah pada empat kecamatan di Kota Pekalongan. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui kuisioner yang diberikan kepada responden secara langsung, dengan melalui uji validitas dan realibilitas. Teknik analisis data menggunakan regresi linier dengan uji prasyarat analisis dan uji t parsial serta uji path analysis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan: (1) Supervisi akademik, pendidikan dan pelatihan, kompetensi profesional,berpengaruh langsung terhadap motivasi. (2) Supervisi akademik, pendidikan dan pelatihan, kompetensi profesional dan motivasi berpengaruh langsung terhadap kinerja guru. (3) Supervisi akademik, pendidikan dan pelatihan, kompetensi profesional guru berpengaruh terhadap kinerja guru dengan mediasi motivasi kerja. Disarankan sebagai berikut kepala sekolah harus dapat meningkatkan supervisi akademik agar pencapaian tujuan sekolah dapat tercapai secara efektif dan efisien.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis dan mendiskripsikan pelaksanaan supervisi akademik, mengembangkan model supervisi akademik sesuai dengan kebutuhan guru, mengetahui keefektifan model supervisi yang dikembangkan. Model faktual supervisi akademik dinilai kurang efektif. Supervisi akademik yang sesuai dengan kebutuhan guru adalah supervisi akademik berbasis pelayanan prima yang melibatkan pengawas, kepala sekolah dan guru yang di supervisi mulai dri perencanaan sampai pada tindak lanjut. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Research and Development, yang dibagi dalam tiga tahap yaitu, tahap studi pendahuluan, tahap pengembangan dan tahap evaluasi. Dalam studi pendahuluan, dilakukan studi literatur, studi lapangan dan diskripsi analisis temuan. Tahap pengembangan, meliputi pengembangan konseptual, validasi model melibatkan ahli dan praktisi, sehingga menghasilkan model yang siap diuji coba (model hipotetik). Tahap evaluasi (uji coba terbatas) menggunakan one grouf pretest-postest design untuk mengetahui keefektifan model dan uji statistik menggunakan wilcoxon. Hasil uji coba menunjukkan keefektifan model supervisi, terjadi peningkatan kinerja guru dalam pembelajaran sebelum perlakuan (pretest) sebesar 59,61 % dan setelah perlakuan (postest) sebesar 74,8 % sehingga kinerja guru meningkat sebesar13,57 %. Tingkat keefektifan termasuk katagori sedang dan secara statistik menunjukkan keefektifan supervisi. Penelitian menyimpulkan model supervisi akademik berbasis pelayanan prima ini efektif untuk memperbaiki kinerja guru SMA di Kabupaten Lombok Timur. Disarankan bagi pengawas atau kepala sekolah bahwa model ini dapat menjadi pedoman dalam melakukan supervisi akademik.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di SMK Muhammadiyah 5 Babat Lamongan.Sumber data diperoleh dari : Tenaga Pendidik, Tenaga Kependidikan, Siswa, dan Orang Tua siswa, Dokumen EDS,Laporan Pertanggung Jawaban Keuangan Sekolah dan Dokumen Alumni Sekolah. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kinerja SMK Muhammadiyah 5 Babat Lamongan, secara keseluruhan berada pada kategori baik. Kinerja perspektif keuangan memperoleh nilai kinerja baik, untuk analisis 3E, secara keselurah belum memenuhi hanya 2E yang memenuhi syarat, yaitu memperoleh predikat sangat ekonomis, dan efisien. Untuk efektifitasnya belum memenuhi syarat karena memperoleh predikat kurang efektif. Kinerja pelanggan eksternal memperoleh nilai dengan kategori sangat baik. Kepuasan pelanggan internal memperoleh nilai kategori cukup baik. Sedangkan Kinerja perspektif proses bisnis internal menunjukkan kinerja cukup baik. Dari hasil penelitian ini diharapkan SMK Muhammadiyah 5 Babat Lamongan (1) meningkatkan kinerja pada perspektif yang berada pada kategori cukup baik menjadi baik atau sangat baik, (2) rating nilai evaluasi diri sekolah (EDS) hendaknya ditingkatkan agar dapat memperoleh rating di atas 2 bahkan mungkin bisa sampai rating 3.(3) pimpinan sekolah hendaknya semakin akomodatif dan kreatif dalam menangani beberapa tenaga pendidik an kependidikan yang kurang puas terhadap situasi dan kondisi yang ada di SMK Muhammadiyah 5 Babat Lamongan, sehingga kinerja semakin lebih baik.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis kondisi faktual pelaksanaan supervisi akademik yang dilaksanakan selama ini, menganalisis model peningkatan kinerja guru yang sesuai kebutuhan untuk meningkatkan kinerja guru, dan menganalisis keefektifan model peningkatan kinerja guru berbasis demonstrasi mengajar untuk meningkatkan kinerja guru dalam pembelajaran. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian adalah Research and Development, meliputi tiga tahapan yaitu studi pendahuluan, pengembangan model, dan evaluasi model. Pada studi pendahuluan teknik pengumpulan data dengan wawancara (guru, pengawas dan kepala sekolah) dan studi dokumentasi, tahap pengembangan melibatkan ahli dan praktis untuk menguji validitas model, dan tahap evaluasi dengan uji coba terbatas menggunakan one group pretest-postest design, kemudian data diuji dengan uji wilcoxon. Hasil penelitian bahwa pelaksanaan supervisi akademik selama ini belum belum berjalan secara optimal. Model peningkatan kinerja guru yang sesuai dengan kebutuhan guru adalah model peningkatan kinerja guru berbasis demonstrasi mengajar. Hasil uji coba menunjukkan keefektifan model peningkatan kinerja guru berbasis demonstrasi mengajar. Melalui uji Wilcoxon didapatkan nilai Asymp.Sig. (2-Tailed) 0,018 yang lebih kecil dari 0,05 (p= 0,018<0,05) artinya Ha diterima (ada perbedaan antara rata-rata skor pretest dengan rata-rata posttest). Direkomendasikan agar model peningkatan kinerja guru berbasis demonstrasi mengajar ini dapat dilaksanakan oleh supervisor, sehingga akan dapat meningkatkan kinerja guru dalam pembelajaran. ___________________________________________________________________The purposes of this research were to describe the factual condition of the implementation of the academic supervision carried out so far, to analyze the model of teacher performance improvement as needed to improve teacher performance, and to analyze the effectiveness of teacher performance improvement model based on teaching demonstration to improve teacher performance in learning. The method used in this research was Research and Development. The study was conducted in three stages namely preliminary study, model development, and model evaluation. Preliminary study was data collection by interview and documentation study. The development stage involves experts and practitioners to validate models with document assessment. Evaluation stage by trial using one group pretest-posttest design, statistical test using Wilcoxon test was used to know the effectivenes of the model. The results showed that the implementation of academic supervision had not been run optimally. The performance improvement model that suit the needs of the vocational school teachers was teachers performance improvement model based on teaching demonstration. The results of model trials conducted by Wilcoxon test analysis showed that teachers performance improvement model based on teaching demonstrationeffective to improve the performance of vocational teachers in learning. It is suggested that this teacher performance improvement model based on teaching demonstration can be implemented by supervisors consistently by following the stages of the process from the beginning to the end, so that it will improve teacher performance in learning.

Abstract

Mutu suatu lembaga pendidikan dapat diukur dari tiga aspek, yaitu kompetensi, akreditasi dan akuntabilitas. Akuntabel tidaknya suatu lembaga pendidikan tinggi bergantung pada mutu lulusannya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk (1) mendeskripsikan peran, fungsi dan akuntabilitas penjaminan mutu terhadap akreditasi program studi, (2) menganalisis mekanisme pengajuan akreditasi program studi ke BAN-PT, dan (3) menganalisis korelasi akuntabilitas penjaminan mutu terhadap akreditasi program studi di Pascasarjana Universitas Negeri Semarang. Metode yang digunakan dengan pendekatan deskriptif kuantitatif, analisis korelasional Pearson. Jenis data yang digunakan adalah data primer dan data sekunder. Data primer berkaitan dengan akuntabilitas penjaminan mutu, sedangkan data sekunder perolehan akreditasi program studi. Hasil peneitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) peran dan fungsi penjaminan mutu terhadap akreditasi program studi di Pascasarjana Universitas Negeri Semarang sangat strategis dalam upaya peningkatan mutu pendidikan dan akreditasi program studi. Deskripsi dari dimensi perbaikan berkelanjutan, informasi dan target mutu, pelayanan prima pada pelanggan, serta pembuatan laporan-laporan menunjukkan sangat baik. (2) Mekanisme diatur melalui enam tahap dari melalukan pemantauan akreditasi program studi, proses penyusunan borang, pendampingan dengan perbaikan secara berkelanjutan sampai pada pengiriman dokumen akreditasi kepada BAN-PT. (3) Akuntabilitas penjaminan mutu terhadap akreditasi program studi berkorelasi sangat kuat yang menunjukkan bahwa akuntabilitas penjaminan mutu yang sangat baik akan meningkatkan akreditasi program studi di Pascasarjana Universitas Negeri Semarang yang sangat baik pula/ Disarankan, badan penjaminan mutu harus mampu mempertanggung-jawabkan kinerja akademiknya kepada pihak internal dan eksternal, yang merupakan salah satu ukuran adalah akreditasi program studi dan akreditasi institusi. Program studi yang akan mengajukan akreditasi baik yang baru maupun akreditasi ulang hendaknya selalu berkoordinasi dengan penjaminan mutu agar badan penjaminan mutu dapat kontribusi optimal sesuai dengan haparan program studi dan kepuasan stakeholder. The quality of an institution can be measured from three aspects, namely the accreditation, competence and accountability. An accountable of education institution rely on the quality of the graduates. This research aim to (1) describe the role, function and quality assurance of accountability towards accreditation of study programs, (2) analyze the mechanism of filing accreditation courses to BAN-PT, and (3) analyze the correlation of accountability quality assurance against the accreditation of postgraduate course at Universitas Negeri Semarang. The methods used by quantitative descriptive approach, analysis of correlation of Pearson. The type of the data was being used the primary data and secondary data. Primary data relating to accountability for quality assurance, while secondary data acquisition of accreditation of study programs. The results showed that (1) the role and function of quality assurance against the accreditation of postgraduate courses at Universitas Negeri Semarang was located in the quest educational enhancement and accreditation of study programs. The description of the dimensions of sustainable improvement, an information and target quality, an excellent service to customers, as well as the making of reports shows very well, (2) The mechanism was setting through six stages from the route the course accreditation, monitoring the process of the preparation of forms, mentoring with sustainable improvements to the delivery of documents to the accreditation BAN-PT, (3) Accountability assurance the quality of study programs accreditation against correlated very strongly which shows that accountability assurance of excellent quality will improve the accreditation of postgraduate courses at Universitas Negeri Semarang is excellent as well. The quality assurance agency was recommended, it should be able to responsible academic performance to internal and external parties, which was one of measure in the accreditation of institutions and programs of study. Course accreditation will submit both new and re-accreditation should always coordinate with the quality assurance agency in order to guarantee optimal quality can contribute in accordance with the expectations of the program of studies and stakeholder satisfaction.

Abstract

Academic supervision is a supervisory assistance service to teachers both individually and in groups. The number of supervisors who are not proportional to the number of teachers as well as limited time and space are the obstacles that exist in the implementation of academic supervision. The objectives of this research are (1) to know and analyse the factual model of academic supervision; (2) to develop hypothetical model of video conference-based academic supervision; and (3) to know and analyse the feasibility of the use of video conference-based academic supervision model.The method used in this research is RnD (Research and Development). The subject of this research is supervisors and teachers of SMK (Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan- Vocational School) in Wonosari sub-district, Gunungkidul regency. The data are analysed quantitatively and qualitatively. The final model of video conference-based academic supervision is obtained by describing the factual model of academic supervision, developing conceptual models, validating conceptual model, testing the hypothetical models, and formulating a final model of video conference-based academic supervision.The result shows that the factual model of academic supervision is less optimum because it is constrained by the number of teachers, limited time and quite wide location. At the development stage, it produces hypothetical models that have been validated by experts and practitioners. Then, the final model with feasibility test for supervisor and teacher resulted in very good category model. The conclusion of this research is that the model of academic supervision based on video conference is very feasible to be implemented.This research suggests that supervisors could immediately adopt a conference video-based academic supervision model to solve the current problems; the number of teachers to be guided, the limited time and the wide location.
