Abstract

This study evaluates the effectiveness of the Pakistani Method in enhancing Quranic reading and writing skills (BTQ) among students at Madrasah Diniyah Daarul Ilmi, in response to the widely reported low levels of Quranic literacy. The research employs a quantitative experimental design with a population of 50 students, all of whom were included as the sample. Data were collected through questionnaires, observation, and documentation, and analyzed using validity and reliability tests, normality tests, homogeneity tests, and hypothesis testing (F-test, t-test, and R²). The analysis results indicate that the data are valid and reliable, with a Cronbach’s Alpha of 0.879. Prerequisite tests confirm that the data are normally distributed and homogeneous. Hypothesis testing yields an F-value of 228.921 (p=0.00), a t-value of 15.130 (p=0.00), and a coefficient of determination (R²) of 82.7%, statistically confirming that the Pakistani Method has a significant and effective influence on improving BTQ skills. The discussion reveals that the strength of this method lies in its structured, integrative, and phonocentric approach, which simultaneously teaches reading fluency, mastery of tajwid, and Arabic orthographic competence. The conclusion affirms that the Pakistani Method is an evidence-based pedagogical alternative capable of addressing the shortcomings of conventional methods. The implications suggest that this method can be adopted in curriculum development and teacher training for Islamic religious education. Future research is recommended to examine the long-term sustainability of its effects and the method's adaptation across diverse educational contexts and institutions.

Abstract

The rising incidents of violence and discrimination under the guise of religion in Indonesian society emphasize the need for effective educational strategies to foster social harmony. This study investigates the implementation of religious moderation as a strategy for anti-discrimination education in Islamic school management, with a focus on SMAN 1 Ponorogo. Using a qualitative field research approach, data were collected through observations, interviews, and document analysis and analyzed using the Miles and Huberman model. The findings reveal that religious moderation, rooted in the concept of “wasathiyah” (balance), serves as a critical framework for nurturing tolerance, empathy, and respect among students of diverse religious and ethnic backgrounds. The school’s management plays a pivotal role in sustaining these values through strategic policies, including curriculum integration, multicultural education, teacher training, and clinical supervision. Student testimonies and teacher reflections illustrate the tangible impact of these initiatives, with students developing emotional resilience and forming close bonds across religious lines. The research highlights that religious moderation not only enhances school harmony but also has broader societal implications, acting as a preventive measure against radicalism and contributing to national unity. The study underscores the need for continued policy support, community engagement, and ongoing professional development to ensure the long-term sustainability of religious moderation as a cornerstone of peace education in Indonesia.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the model of integration of Islamic boarding school curriculum based on Islamic values and technology at Pesantren Sintesa Magetan, which combines religious learning and digital skills in one integrated education system. This study uses a qualitative approach with a case study method, collecting data through in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and documentation, involving caregivers, teachers, and students. The results of the study indicate that the Pesantren Sintesa curriculum integrates tahfidz teaching, book studies, and digital skills such as digital marketing, web management, and multimedia simultaneously, with project-based learning facilitated by mentors. This model is effective in improving the technical, soft, and conceptual skills of students, as well as forming graduates who are ready to compete professionally without losing their Islamic identity. The challenges faced include differences in basic digital skills of students, limited infrastructure, and the need for competent teachers, which are overcome through intensive mentoring and the use of online teachers. This study recommends strengthening technology-based teacher training, developing a flexible curriculum that is adaptive to digital developments, and replicating this integration model in other Islamic boarding schools to produce a generation of Muslims who are globally competitive. These findings are expected to be the basis for the development of technology-based Islamic education in the Society 5.0 era.

Abstract

The level of ability to read the Qur'an properly and correctly among students is currently an important issue for educational institutions. This research is urgent to find a structured way to overcome the difficulties of makhraj and tajweed that students often experience. This research aims to examine the application of the At-Tanzil method and assess its success rate in improving students' skills in reading the Qur'an. In addition, this study examines various factors that serve as both supporters and obstacles to the implementation of the At-Tanzil method, to improve the quality of the learning process for reading the Qur'an. This research will be carried out using a qualitative case study design in 2025 at SB At-Tanzil, Lembah Jaya, Selangor, Malaysia. The information collection process is carried out through observation, interviews, and documentation, and the data are then processed using an interactive model analysis, which includes the stages of data collection, data presentation, data reduction, and data conclusions. Based on the study's results, students' ability to read the Qur'an has increased significantly after participating in learning using the At-Tanzil method. The increase can be seen from the accuracy of the pronunciation of hijaiyah letters, the application of the tajweed law, and the fluency in reading the verses of the Qur'an. The gradual, step-by-step learning, starting from the basics and conveyed clearly and without hurry, is an important factor in the success of the At-Tanzil method. Some obstacles to applying the At-Tanzil method include the requirement that teachers attend training before teaching it. This is to ensure the learning process runs effectively and in a directed manner.

Abstract

School branding strategies are a key factor in the competitive landscape of educational institutions, particularly in attracting prospective students. This study aims to examine the school branding strategies implemented by the Insan Madani Integrated Islamic Elementary School in Madiun to attract prospective students, identify the impact of these strategies, and determine the supporting factors and challenges in their implementation. This study employs a qualitative method using a case study approach. Research findings indicate that Insan Madani Integrated Islamic Elementary School in Madiun implements a school branding strategy through character development, academic achievement, tahsin and tahfizh programs, extracurricular activities, and the use of digital branding. The implementation of school branding has had an impact on several aspects, such as increased trust and loyalty among parents toward the school, an increase in student enrollment, the establishment of a positive image in the public’s mind, and enhanced institutional competitiveness. This serves as proof that the Insan Madani Integrated Islamic Elementary School in Madiun has successfully established itself as a top choice and the first choice for parents. Factors supporting the institution’s branding include educators or teachers, an Islamic-themed environment, the involvement of parents or guardians, and adequate facilities and infrastructure. However, the obstacles or challenges faced include the emergence of educational institutions with nearly identical branding and the need to meet the increasingly diverse needs of students. This study is expected to enrich the discussion on the management of effective school branding strategies so that schools can excel and remain relevant within the community.
