Abstract

This study aims to improve the critical thinking skills of fitth grade students at SDN 007 Bangkinang for the academic year 2022/2023, totaling 22 students. This research method is Classroom Action Research (CAR) which is carried out in two learning cycles. Each cycle consists of two meetings and four stages of learning namely: planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The time of the research was carried out in Desember 2022. Data collection techniques were in the form of documentation, observation and tests. The research instrument was in the form of observation sheets (observation sheets of teacher activities and student activities), test sheet evaluation questions, and documentation. While the data analysis techniques in the form of qualitative analysis and quantitative analysis. The results of the critical thinking skills of fifth grade studentss at SDN 007 Bangkinang in pre-action with an average score of 53.40 with a learning mastery percentage of 36%. In the first cycle of the first meeting, the average score was 71.13 with a learning completeness percentage of 45% and in the first cycle of the second meeting, the average value was 75.40 with a learning mastery percentage of 64%. In cycle 2, the first meeting also increased with an average value of 80.59 with a learning completeness percentage of 77%, and in cycle 2, the second meeting increased again with an average value of 87.22 with a learning completeness percentage of 86%. Thus, it can be concluded that the application of the Discovery Learning model can improve the critical thinking skills of fifth grade students at SDN 007 Bangkinang.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the low learning activity of fifth grade students at UPT SDN 005 Bukit Ranah. One of the solution to solve this problem is to use the small group discussion model. This study aims to improve the learning activity of fifth grade students at UPT SDN 005 Bukit Ranah with 34 students, with a of 18 male students ang 17 female students. The research method was classroom action research (PTK) implemented in two learning cycle consists of two meetings and four learning stages, namely: planning, implementing, observing, and reflecting. The time of the research was carried out in May 2023. Data collection technique using qualitative analysis and quantitative analysis. Based on the result of the learning activity of the fifth grade students at UPT SDN 005 Bukit Ranah in the pre-ativity with a learning mastery percentage of 41,17%. In the first n cycle I meeting I with a percentage of study completion of 44,11%, students who completed only 15 students and cycle I of meeting II increased with a percentage of learning completion of 52,94%, students who completed only 18 students. In cycle II meeting I also increased with a percentage of learning completion of 85,29%, students who completed only 29 students and cycle II of meeting II experienced another increase with a percentage of study completion of 91.17%, students who completed 31 students. So it can be concluded that by using the small group discussion model it can improve learning activity of fitft grade students at UPT SDN 005 Bukit Ranah. Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi oleh kesulitan siswa kelas IV untuk memahami materi pada mata pelajaran PKN. Hal ini diketahui dari hasil wawancara dan dokumentasi pada kegiatan dan dokumentasi pada kegiatan pra siklus. Hal tersebut disebabkan model yang digunakan guru yaitu cenderung ceramah dan penggunaan media kurang menarik antusias siswa. Dari jumlah 25 siswa masih terdapat 13 siswa mendapat nilai di bawah KKM. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas yang terdiri dari 4 tahapan, yaitu perencanaan, pelaksanaan, pengamatan atau observasi, dan refleksi, yang dilakukan dalam 2 (dua) siklus. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan yaitu data kualitatif dan kuantitatif, dengan cara pengumpulan data menggunakan tes, observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas IV SDIT An-Najiyah tahun pelajaran 2023-2024 yang berjumlah 25 siswa. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa: 1) Penerapan model pembelajaran Group Investigation dalam meningkatkan pemahaman siswa pada pelajaran PKN dapat dilaksanakan dengan baik. Hal ini dapat dibuktikan melalui hasil observasi aktivitas guru pada siklus I yang memperoleh skor sebesar 66,41(cukup) dan meningkatkan pada siklus II sebesar 87,12 (baik), sedangkan pada aktivitas siswa di siklus I memperoleh skor sebesar 63,46 (cukup) dan meningkatkan pada siklus II sebesar 97,11 (sangat baik). 2) Peningkatan pemahaman pada pelajaran PKN siswa kelas IV setelah diterapkan model pembelajaran Group Investigation) terlihat hasil nilai rata-rata siswa, pada pra siklus sebesar 59,39 (kurang) dengan persentase ketuntasan sebesar 42,81% (kurang), menjadi sebesar 70,3 (cukup) pada siklus I dengan persentase ketuntasan sebesar 52% (kurang), dan meningkat pada siklus II sebesar 84 (baik) dengan presentase ketuntasan sebesar 89% (baik).

Abstract

Proses budaya untuk meningkatkan harkat dan martabat manusia, dan berlangsung sepanjang hayat yang dilaksanakan di lingkungan keluarga sekolah dan masyarakat merupakan istilah dari pendidikan. Keberadaan pendidikan diharapkan dapat mempersiapkan pembelajaran, melaksanakan dan menilai hasil belajar para siswa dengan baik, dapat memilih dan menggunakan model-model interaksi belajar mengajar yang tepat Salah satu tindakan yang dapat dilakukan untuk mengatasi masalah pemahaman konsep materi penjumlahan siswa di sekolah dasar yaitu dengan metode gasing (gampang asik dan menyenangkan). Tujuan skripsi ini adalah untuk menganalisis konsep darimetode gasing untuk pemahaman materi penjumlahan siswa di sekolah dasar. Metode penulisan skripsi ini menggunakan pendekatan pada penelitian kualitatif yaitu studi kasus. Hasil penelitian keterampilan berhitung penjumlahan menggunakan metode gasing, siswa mampu menyelesaikan soal dengan benar dan tepat sehingga pretasi belajar siswa meningkat, terampilkan menggunakan metode gasing dalam penjumlahan dalam hal ini siswa tidak mengalami kesulitan dalam pembelajaran berhitung dan belajar secara mandiri langsung mempraktekkan penggunaan media pembelajaran. Kesimpulan terdapat peningkatan pemahamanan materi penjumlahan yang signifikan pada siswa di sekolah dasar setelah di ajarkan menggunakan metode gasing. Studi kasus ini hanya dilakukan pada siswa dengan masalah pemahamanan materi penjumlahan, diharapkan peneliti selanjutnya dapat melakukan studi kasus yang mendalam dan menerapkan metode lain yang lebih efektif untuk meningkatkan konsep pemahaman materi penjumlahan di sekolah dasar. Abstract The cultural process to enhance human dignity and worth, which occurs throughout life within the family, school, and community, is referred to as education. Education is expected to prepare students for learning, implement, and assess their learning outcomes effectively, as well as to select and use appropriate teaching and learning interaction models. One of the actions that can be taken to address the issue of understanding the concept of addition in elementary school students is the use of the Gasing method (fun, easy, and enjoyable). The purpose of this thesis is to analyze theconcept of the Gasing method for understanding addition material in elementary school students. This thesis employs a qualitative research approach, specifically a case study. The results show that students' arithmetic skills in addition, using the Gasing method, enabled them to solve problems correctly and accurately, thus improving their learning outcomes. The Gasing method in addition helped students overcome difficulties in arithmetic learning, allowing them to learn independently and practice using learning media. In conclusion, there was a significant improvement in understanding addition material among elementary school students after being taught using the Gasing method. This case study was conducted only with students who faced difficulties in understanding addition concepts. It is hoped that future researchers will conduct more in-depth case studies and apply other more effective methods to enhance the understanding of addition concepts in elementary schools.
