Abstract

Environmental literacy is a part of education that helps students protect the environment by using or consuming nature and by understanding and solving environmental problems caused by actions that exploit the natural environment, forests, and other natural resources in the area. This activity tries to teach people more about the environment by growing hydroponically grown vegetables in the school to make the school a healthier and cleaner place. SDU Hamzanwadi has never enhanced environmental literacy through hydroponic activities; therefore, this should advance environmental preservation awareness. The method is implemented in three stages: 1) the planning stage includes field surveys, cooperation, and communication; 2) the implementation stage includes socialization and mentoring by the Lecturer Team in collaboration with Hamzanwadi University PGSD Students; 3) the monitoring and evaluation stage. The survey findings were shared with school partners, beginning with the principal and teachers. Then, an agreement is drafted pertinent to the school's conditions, notably hydroponics production. The outcomes of the activity demonstrated that 90% of the participants were able to conduct hydroponics directly. Some participants' mastery and comprehension reached 85%, and they could utilize the help material that had been developed. This is evident in the enhanced knowledge and abilities of the partners, as seen by the green and healthy plants. The production of hydroponics necessitates considerable skill and knowledge as well as a sizeable financial investment. Thus, careful planning is required. Hydroponics is not only an educational tool for environmental literacy but may also beautify and green the school environment.

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to develop learning media in the form of Busy Books to improve students' environmental literacy in science subjects for class V. This study uses the ADDIE development model that has been developed by Robert Maribe Branch, which consists of five steps, namely analysis, design, development, implementation, evaluation. The results of media validation get results in the "good" category with a score of 40 (33.96 X 41.88), while the validation results from material experts get results in the "very good" category with a score of 47 (X 41.88), and finally the validation results from linguists got results in the "good" category with a score of 40 (33.96 X 41.88). While the results of small-scale trials obtained scores in the "agree" category with a score of 32.8 (27.18 X 33.54) and the results of large-scale trials scored in the "strongly agree" category with a score of 36.8 (X 33, 54). Based on these data, the media developed can be said to be feasible to use.Keywords: Media, Busy Book, Environmental Literacy  Abstrak:Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan media pembelajaran berupa Busy Book untuk meningkatkan literasi lingkungan siswa pada mata pelajaran IPA kelas V. Penelitian ini  menggunakan model pengembangan ADDIE yang telah dikembangkan oleh Robert Maribe Branch, yang terdiri dari lima langkah yaitu analisis, desain, pengembangan, implementasi, evaluasi. Hasil validasi media mendapatkan hasil dalam kategori “baik” dengan skor 40 (33,96 X ≤  41,88), sedangkan hasil validasi dari ahli materi mendapatkan hasil dalam kategori “sangat baik” dengan skor 47 (X 41,88), dan terakhir hasil validasi dari ahli bahasa mendapatkan hasil dalam kategori “baik” dengan skor 40 (33,96 X ≤  41,88). Sedangkan hasil uji coba skala kecil memperoleh skor dalam kategori “setuju” dengan skor 32,8 (27,18 X ≤  33.54) dan hasil uji coba skala besar skor dalam kategori “sangat setuju” dengan skor 36,8 ( X 33,54). Berdasarkan data tersebut, media yang dikembangkan dapat dikatakan layak untuk digunkan.Kata Kunci: Media, Busy Book,  Literasi Lingkungan

Abstract

This objective of this research to analyze the factor that influence the reading difficulties of students with functional learning disabilities, and to assess the effecacy of employing flash card media based on local wisdom on the reading ability of students with functional learning difficulties. The descriptive qualitative research method was applied, employing a case study methodology. This study’s participants were five third-grade students from SDN 2 Kesik who had functional learning difficulties. Observation, interviews and documentation were utilized to gain data. Data were analyzed using data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion/verification. The findings indicate that using flash card media based on local wisdom is helpful for sharpening students’ memory as well as improving the reading skills of students with functional learning disabilities at the level of reading, identifying letters and spelling. This can be observed through the students’ improving reading skills indicators.

Abstract

Kemajuan teknologi informasi dan komunikasi (TIK) membawa perubahan besar dalam dunia pendidikan. Dalam era digital saat ini, penggunaan teknologi dalam proses pembelajaran merupakan hal yang sangat penting. Ilmu pengetahuan dan teknologi berkembang sangat pesat termasuk dalam perancangan sebuah bahan belajar bagi peserta didik sehingga menuntut adanya suatu perkembangan dan peningkatan sumber belajar yang berkualitas. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan dengan beberapa metode yaitu presentasi materi dan praktek. Kegiatan ini merupakan kegiatan yang berupaya meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan guru dan siswa dalam penggunaan teknologi pada pembelajaran abad 21. Adapun praktek yang dilakukan menggunakan media elektronik berupa handphone yang dimiliki oleh masing masing peserta. Praktek yang dilakukan memanfaatkan aplikasi Canva yang dapat dimanfaatkan secara gratis bagi siapapun.  Melalui pengabdian masyarakat ini, diharapkan dapat membantu sekolah dan masyarakat dalam memanfaatkan aplikasi berbasis Android sebagai media pembelajaran yang efektif dan menyenangkan bagi siswa

Abstract

Pendidikan sebagai suatu hal yang harus ditempuh bahkan wajiib untuk didapatkan oleh setiap manusia. Karena dengan pendidikan, manusia dapat membedakan mana yang baik dan mana yang buruk. Maka dari itu, pendidikan harus diperhatikan lebih mendalam lagi supaya apa yang menjadi tujuan pendidikan secara nasional dapat tercapai sesuai dengan apa yang sudah direncanakan. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk mengembangkan media pembelajaran “bussy book” CALISTUNG untuk siswa slow learner kelas 1 sekolah dasar. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan yaitu jenis penelitian research and development (R&D) dengan desain penelitian ADDIE yang terdiri dari lima langkah yaitu: (1) analisis, (2) perancangan, (3) pengembangan, (4) implementasi, dan (5) evaluasi. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada peserta didik kelas 1 yang memiliki hambatan slow learner dengan jumlah 3 peserta didik. Instrumen penelitian pengembangan ini menggunakan lembar validasi dan angket respon peserta didik. Hasil uji validasi ahli materi dengan jumlah skor 32 berada pada rentang skor 32 >29,5 dengan kategori “sangat baik”. Hasil uji validasi ahli media dengan jumlah skor sebesar 68 berada pada rentang skor 68>63 dengan kategori “sangat baik”. Hasil dari angket respon peserta didik terhadap kevalidan dan keefektifan penggunaan media bussy book yang dikembangakn mendapatkan persentase sebanyak 100%  dengan kategori “sangat baik”. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan, media bussy book CALISTUNG untuk siswa slow learner kelas 1 Sekolah Dasar valid dan efektif digunakan sebagai media pembelajaran untuk siswa slow learner.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan membaca siswa Sekolah Dasar dengan metode membaca SQ3R berbasis cerita rakyat yang dapat diterapkan dalam membaca buku pelajaran. Langkah-langkah dalam metode SQ3R yaitu; (1) Survei (2) Question/ pertanyaan (3) Read/ membaca (4) Recite/ Recall/ menceritakan kembali dan (5) Review/ mengulas. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif. Sumber data penelitian ini yaitu kepala sekolah, guru dan siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakandalam penelitian ini yaitu observasi, wawancara, kusioner dan dokumentasi. Uji keabsahan data menggunakan triangulasi atau pengecekan data. Analisis data menggunakan model Miles and Huberman yaitu pengumpulan data, reduksi data, penyajian data dan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian dapat di simpulkan bahwa penggunaan metode SQ3R berbasis cerita rakyat dapat meningkatkan keterampilan membaca karena pengguaan metode SQ3R yang sistematis.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menghasilkan buku cerita anak berbasis Bahasa Inggris untuk memperkenalkan Bahasa Inggris sejak dini kepada siswa melalui kegiatan literasi. Model pengembangan dalam penelitian ini mengadopsi model   Borg & Gall model ini memiliki 10 tahap dalam pengembangan yaitu :penelitian dan pengumpulan informasi, perencanaan, pengembangan produk awal, uji coba lapangan pendahuluan, revisi produk, uji coba lapangan utama, revisi produk operasional, uji coba lapangan operasional, revisi  produk  akhir,  desiminasi  dan pendistribusian. Model tersebut disederhanakan menjadi 7 tahapan yaitu: penelitian dan pengumpulan informasi, perencanaan, pengembangan produk awal, uji coba lapangan pendahuluan, revisi produk, uji coba lapangan utama, revisi produk akhir. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah semua kelas 4 yang berjumlah 16 orang siswa. Data yang diperoleh dari penelitian ini adalah data kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Instrumen pengumpulan data meliputi lembar validasi dan angket respon siswa. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah rumus skala 5 untuk validasi dan angket respon siswa. Hasil penilaian kelayakan untuk ahli materi memperoleh skor 64 dengan kategori sangat baik, sedangkan penilaian untuk ahli  tampilan  memperoleh  skor 63 termasuk dalam kategori baik. Respon siswa terhdap buku cerita anak berbasis Bahasa Inggris dikategorikan baik setelah diberikan angket respon kepada 16 orang responden dengan perolehan rata-rata 60.81. Berdasarkan observasi oleh peneliti mendapat respon baik dengan skor 38.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the validity of puzzle media and the feasibility of mathematical puzzle media based on local wisdom in flat shape material in class IV in elementary schools and to find our student’s responses to the use of local wisdom based mathematical puzzle media in flat shape material in class IV elementary school. This research ures the ADDIE model research method which consists of five development stages, namely: analysis stage, design stage, development stage, impelementation stage and evaluation stage. The field trial was carried out in class IV of SDN 2 Korleko Selatan with 12 students as respondents. The data obtained in the research are qualitative and quantitative data. Data collection instruments include validation sheets and student response questionnaires. The results include: in media expert validation, they obtained a total score of 50, with an average score of 3.66 with good categories/criteria in the score range and 40.8 < 54, with and average score of 4.15 in the good category which is in the score range of 47, 58 58,74 in the good category. Therefore, the resulting learning media is suitable for use to obtain data in field trials. Based on the results of student responses carried out during field trials, the results of student response questionnaire on learning media had a total score of 700, indicating good students responses with an average of 47,58 X 58,7. in the good category.

Abstract

This study aims to develop a science module as material for learning activities, especially in science subjects using the Borg and Gall research model which consists of 10 steps simplified into 7 steps, namely (1) conducting a needs analysis, (2) planning, (3) initial product development, (4) limited testing, (5) revision of product test results, (6) main product test, (7) final product revision. This study was conducted on class IV students with a total of 22 students. This research and development instrument uses validation sheets and student response questionnaires. The results of the media design expert validation test with a total score of "58" are in the range of 51 < X ≤ 63 with the category "Good". The results of the language expert validation test with a total score of "69" are in the range of X < 63 with the category "Excellent". The results of the material expert validation test with a total score of "72" are in the range of X < 63 with the category "Excellent". The results of the questionnaire of student responses to the validity and effectiveness of the use of the modules developed received an average score of "67.5" and were in the range of X < 63 with the category "Excellent". So that it can be concluded, the science module as material for learning activities is valid and effectively used in the learning process.Keywords:  Module Teaching Materials, Natural Sciences (IPA).

Abstract

This research was conducted due to problems found in the classroom, namely the low science learning outcomes of the students and the lack of understanding of concepts and the meaning of learning that fosters critical thinking skills, which causes students to be passive during the learning process. This research aims to improve the learning outcomes of 6th-grade students at SD Negeri 3 Sekarteja by implementing the Culturally Responsive Teaching (CRT) approach in science lessons, particularly on the human musculoskeletal system. The subjects of this study were 30 students in the 6th grade at SD Negeri 3 Sekarteja, consisting of 14 male and 16 female students. This research used the Classroom Action Research (CAR) method, conducted in two learning cycles: planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. Data collection techniques were carried out through tests and quantitative data analysis. The study results showed that implementing the Culturally Responsive Teaching (CRT) approach significantly improved students’ learning outcomes on the human musculoskeletal system. In the pre-cycle stage, student learning outcomes reached 53.3%. In Cycle I, there was an increase in student learning outcomes with a classical completeness of 70%. In Cycle II, there was a further increase in student learning outcomes, achieving a classical completeness of 86.7%. It proves that applying the Culturally Responsive Teaching (CRT) approach effectively improves student learning outcomes in science lessons, particularly on the topic of the human musculoskeletal system
