Abstract

Critical and argumentative thinking skills are essential for students, especially in understanding and applying religious knowledge. In practice, however, teaching in many educational institutions still predominantly uses one-way or lecture-based learning models. This approach often leads to students being passive and less engaged in critical thinking processes, such as analyzing, evaluating, and constructing arguments based on facts and logic. As a result, students’ ability to build sound arguments and defend their opinions scientifically tends to be weak. This research aims to explore the development of effective learning models to enhance students' argumentative skills. Through this study, it is hoped that relevant and practical teaching strategies can be identified to optimize students' argumentative abilities, thereby creating a learning environment that supports the improvement of critical and analytical thinking skills. The research employs a qualitative approach with a literature review method for data collection. This approach seeks to examine various references and prior studies to identify effective learning models and strategies for developing students' argumentative skills. The findings of this research indicate that the jurisprudential learning model combined with a debate strategy can be an effective option for improving students' critical thinking and argumentative abilities. Through a structured debate process, students are not only encouraged to understand fundamental jurisprudential concepts but also become skilled in constructing logical arguments, confidently presenting their opinions, and responding to opposing views constructively. Therefore, this model is worth considering as an approach to fostering higher-order thinking skills among students.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the implementation of the tarekat-based dzikrullah model through the riyadhah approach in learning Islamic Religious Education (PAI) as a strategy to deepen spirituality and strengthen Islamic character in the midst of the challenges of the materialistic and secular modern era. This study uses a literature study method by analyzing theories and concepts from various sources related to the practice of dzikrullah, tarekat, and riyadhah, as well as their impact in the context of education. The results of the study show that the dzikrullah model which is carried out consistently through the approach of tarekat and riyadhah plays a significant role in improving the spiritual quality of students. This model is effective in creating a conducive learning environment, solemn, and focuses on the development of religious values. In addition, this approach also contributes to the formation of noble morals and spiritual discipline of students, which has a positive impact on their daily lives.

Abstract

In the context of modernization and globalization, elementary school students face challenges in preserving their understanding and practice of religious values amid the influence of external cultures. The Pesantren Kilat program at Elementary School is designed as an effective solution to strengthen students' religious knowledge and cultivate Islamic behavior from an early age. The program aims to deepen students' understanding of Islamic teachings and assist them in applying moral values in their daily lives. This study examines how the Pesantren Kilat program enhances students' religious knowledge and shapes Islamic behavior at Elementary School. Adopting a qualitative case study approach, the research explores the role of the program in enriching students' religious understanding and developing their ethics and morality based on Islamic teachings. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The findings indicate that the Pesantren Kilat program effectively increases religious knowledge and promotes Islamic behavior in students. The program helps students internalize and apply Islamic values in daily life by integrating theoretical and practical learning. Structured activities such as interactive lessons, worship, and behavior monitoring lead to noticeable improvements in students' religious adherence and social behavior, demonstrating the program's success in fostering spiritual growth and moral development. This study's contribution is to show that the Pesantren Kilat program is effective in improving students' religious knowledge and Islamic behavior through theoretical and practical learning activities. It has become an effective model for internalizing Islamic values and promoting spiritual growth and moral development.

Abstract

Child education in Islam plays a crucial role in shaping the character and morality of individuals from an early age. This article aims to investigate the concept of child education in Islam from the perspective of Ibn Sina, a prominent scientist and philosopher in the 11th century. A descriptive-analytical method is employed to analyze Ibn Sina's concepts related to child education. The research findings reveal that Ibn Sina emphasizes education as a holistic journey involving the development of each child's unique potential. He views education not only as the transfer of knowledge but also as moral and spiritual guidance. Ibn Sina's contributions to child education include character development, balance between intellectual-moral-spiritual aspects, and the crucial role of educators as moral role models. In the Islamic context, child education encompasses not only religious aspects but also moral values forming the moral foundation for future generations. Ibn Sina's concepts weave Islamic values with philosophical thoughts, providing a broad dimension to the understanding of child education in Islam.

Abstract

In the digital era, critical thinking skills have become an indispensable competency to face global challenges and filter abundant information. The Deep Dialogue model focuses on deep interactions between teachers and students, designed to stimulate analytical, reflective, and evaluative thinking. This article reviews various literature sources that discuss the application of this model in various educational contexts. Findings from the literature study show that the Deep Dialogue model can strengthen students' abilities in critical thinking, especially in terms of analyzing arguments, solving problems, and evaluating information better. However, to achieve full effectiveness, teachers are required to facilitate in-depth dialogue and use supportive digital technology. This research concludes that the Deep Dialogue model can be a relevant and effective learning strategy for developing critical thinking skills needed to face the challenges of the information age.

Abstract

Learning in pesantren with conventional methods is often faced with challenges in the learning process. The application of innovative learning methods is needed so that the learning process becomes more interesting and effective for students. This study aims to explore the implementation of the singing method in fiqh learning at Miftahul Jannah An-Nuriyyah Islamic Boarding School. The research approach used is qualitative with descriptive methods. Data collection techniques are direct observation, interviews, and documentation. The research subjects consisted of teachers and students in the pesantren. The results showed that the singing method was able to increase santri involvement in the learning process and help them get the material more easily and fun. This method also creates a dynamic learning atmosphere and makes it easier for santri to memorize and understand fiqh concepts. The main challenge in applying this method is the creativity for teachers in composing fiqh material into the form of song lyrics so that it is easier to understand and in accordance with the core of the material. The conclusion of this study is that the singing method can be an effective alternative in learning fiqh in pesantren, especially in improving students' understanding and memory of the material taught.

Abstract

This research aims to explore and map the wasatiyyah concept offered by Yusuf Al-Qardhawi to counter radical movements and acts of terrorism that have become a serious concern for the Indonesian government. These issues and discourses continue to haunt the dynamics of students' religious life on campus. This research uses a qualitative approach with a literature review method, which is carried out by analyzing and discovering the concept of wasatiyyah. The results of the research found that the wasatiyyah concept can prevent thoughts, attitudes, and acts of terrorism for students who can strengthen and strengthen the foundations of thinking about Islam that rahmatan lil alamin by upholding the principles of tolerance, mutual respect, and respect for each other in creating harmony between people. Religious communities, thereby bridging divisions and confusion in the thinking of groups that view Islam as extreme, as well as minimizing ideologies that are contradictory to the values ​​of Islamic teachings, such as radicalism, terrorism, and acts of anarchism.

Abstract

Providing an impact or contribution in increasing student learning motivation is the aim of this research, especially in the Islamic Religious Education subject at SMAN 13 Bandung through the application of a gamification model using the Kahoot application. This research was conducted as an effort to provide a contribution or solution to the problems of PAI learning in the modern era during the development of IT and student behavior. The gamification model was chosen because it was considered capable of attracting student interest and increasing interaction during learning. Pre-Experimental Design in the form of One Group Pre Test – Post Test is the method in this research. The sample consisted of 33 students from class XI-4 and data was collected through a motivation questionnaire with a Likert scale which was then analyzed using the Paired Sample T-Test statistical test. This research resulted in an increase in student learning motivation after implementing the gamification model with the Kahoot application, especially in indicators of student achievement, leadership and social relationships. In conclusion, gamification with Kahoot has an influence in creating an interactive learning atmosphere and supports increasing student motivation in PAI lessons. This emphasizes the importance of innovation in teaching methods to increase student engagement and motivation. Penelitian ini dilakukan sebagai upaya untuk memberikan kontribusi atau solusi terhadap problematik pembelajaran PAI di era modern di masa perkembangan IT dan perilaku siswa. Model gamifikasi dipilih karena dianggap mampu menarik minat siswa dan meningkatkan interaksi selama pembelajaran. Desain Pre-Experimental berbentuk One Group Pre Test – Post Test menjadi metode pada penelitian ini. Sampel terdiri dari 33 siswa kelas XI-4 dan data dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner motivasi dengan skala Likert yang kemudian dianalisis dengan bantuan uji statistik Paired Sample T-Test. Dari penelitian ini menghasilkan adanya peningkatan terkait motivasi belajar siswa setelah diterapkan model gamifikasi dengan aplikasi Kahoot, terutama dalam indikator prestasi, kepemimpinan, dan hubungan sosial siswa. Kesimpulannya, gamifikasi dengan Kahoot berpengaruh dalam membentuk suasana pembelajaran yang interaktif dan mendukung peningkatan motivasi siswa dalam pelajaran PAI. Hal ini menegaskan pentingnya inovasi dalam metode pengajaran untuk meningkatkan keterlibatan dan motivasi siswa.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the internalization of spiritual values in the Tokyo Indonesian School in the context of the multicultural environment of Japan. This study uses a qualitative approach with a case study method to explore how spiritual values, especially Islamic teachings, are integrated into education at the Tokyo Indonesian School, which has students from diverse cultural and religious backgrounds. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, participant observation, and documentation studies, which were analyzed using the Miles and Huberman model. The results of the study indicate that the Tokyo Indonesian School implements a holistic approach to the internalization of spiritual values with five main steps: i) religious education that focuses on understanding monotheism as the core of faith, ii) the habit of daily worship such as congregational prayer that strengthens discipline and spiritual awareness, iii) the implementation of the Madrasah Diniyah (Madin) program to deepen worship and religious knowledge, iv) the integration of universal values such as discipline, order, and hard work that are relevant to Japanese culture, and v) strengthening student character through teacher role models and harmonious social interactions. Moreover, Sekolah Indonesia Tokyo also strengthens students' spiritual relationship with Allah through religious activities at the mosque facilities near the school. It teaches Japanese cultural values that are in line with Islamic teachings. The implications of this study indicate that inclusive spiritual value-based education can shape students' character, enrich multicultural interactions, and maintain students' cultural and religious identities abroad.

Abstract

Dalam artikel ini, dibahas mengenai pentingnya hubungan antara integrasi ilmu dengan iman sebagai landasan utama dalam pembentukan kepribadian peserta didik yang ideal dalam konteks Filsafat Pendidikan Islam. Artikel ini dibuat dengan tujuan untuk mengeksplorasi bagaimana pendidikan yang menggabungkan aspek moral dan akademis dapat membentuk karakter peserta didik secara holistik. Pendekatan penelitian yang diterapkan dalam studi ini adalah studi kepustakaan, di mana peneliti menelaah berbagai referensi dan literatur guna memperoleh wawasan yang lebih mendalam terkait dengan topik yang dibahas. Temuan dari penelitian ini mengindikasikan bahwa pendidikan yang efektif harus menciptakan individu dengan akhlak mulia, penguasaan ilmu pengetahuan, serta pemahaman nilai-nilai agama. Penelitian ini menemukan bahwa hubungan antara pendidikan dan agama sangat penting dalam membentuk karakter peserta didik, serta menekankan perlunya pendidik untuk memahami karakteristik unik setiap siswa guna menciptakan lingkungan belajar yang efektif dan kondusif. Selain itu, hasil menunjukkan bahwa integrasi antara iman dan ilmu tidak hanya meningkatkan prestasi akademis tetapi juga membentuk sikap dan perilaku positif dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Simpulan penelitian menegaskan bahwa pendidikan ideal harus mengintegrasikan iman dan ilmu agar siswa dapat menerapkan prinsip-prinsip tersebut dalam kehidupan mereka, sehingga menjadi individu yang berkarakter baik dan bertanggung jawab
