Abstract

This research focuses on the shift in mosque empowerment models, particularly in terms of financial sustainability, rooted in Islamic economics and finance. By exploring the correlation of Islamic economics (Y), Islamic finance (Y), and mosque sustainability (Z), this research can utilize the mixed method approach of quantitative analysis to survey 200 congregation members, conduct in-depth interviews with five key informants, and employ PLS-SEM. This is the first mosque sustainability performance study to provide a quantitative analysis, along with PLS-SEM, and to correlate finance and economics in the Islamic context. Findings indicate that Islamic finance intermediates the influence of Islamic economics on mosque sustainability (indirect β=0.527; p<0.001). Islamic economics is explained to have a considerable direct influence on Islamic finance (β=0.782; p<0.001) as well as Islamic finance being the greatest contributor to mosque sustainability (β=0.673; p<0.001). This research affirms the four-dimensional sustainability pillar and the anticipation of mosque management to respond to the SDGs. This provided strong financial governance, partnership with Islamic banking, trained financial governance, and Islamic financial literacy courses.

Abstract

This study examines workplace factors—Locus of Control, Situational Leadership, Work Balance, and Workload—and their collective impact on Job Stress. The urgency of this research arises from the increasing prevalence of job stress that threatens employee productivity and organizational sustainability.    The study aims to analyze the direct and indirect effects of these factors in predicting and mitigating stress. A quantitative causal research design was applied with a saturated sample of 95 employees from various organizations. Data were collected through structured questionnaires as the primary instrument, and analysis was conducted using Structural Equation Modeling–Partial Least Square (SEM-PLS). The findings indicate that Locus of Control significantly predicts Job Stress, emphasizing the role of personal control in reducing stress. Situational Leadership positively influences Locus of Control, while Work Balance reduces Job Stress. Conversely, Workload negatively affects Work Balance, thereby increasing stress levels. Indirect effects were also observed, such as Situational Leadership reducing Job Stress through Locus of Control and Workload influencing stress via Work Balance. The implications suggest that organizations should adopt adaptive leadership, strengthen employees’ sense of control, and manage workloads effectively. These integrated strategies provide valuable insights for leaders, policymakers, and researchers to foster healthier and more productive work environments.

Abstract

The development of digital technology has changed the way adolescents access and understand religious teachings. Amidst the rapid flow of unverified information, Islamic Religious Education (PAI) plays a strategic role in shaping moderate character among digital youth. This study aims to analyze the role of PAI in fostering religious moderation, with a focus on learning strategies, the role of teachers, the use of digital media, as well as the challenges and solutions to its implementation. The study was conducted using a qualitative approach through case studies at MAN 1 and MAN 2 Sragen, using in-depth interviews, participant observation, and document analysis. The results show that the PAI curriculum in both madrasas has been integrated with moderate values such as tolerance, social justice, and respect for differences. PAI teachers play a crucial role as facilitators and agents of change, while the use of digital technology has proven effective in increasing students' interest in learning about contemporary religious issues. Students who participated in moderation-based PAI learning showed significant improvements in religious digital literacy, tolerance, and the ability to engage in dialogue amidst diversity. Challenges such as low teacher digital literacy and the negative influence of social media still need to be addressed through ongoing training and collaboration with various parties. This finding strengthens the position of Islamic Religious Education as a transformative instrument in forming a young generation that is religious, inclusive, and adaptive to social and technological dynamics

Abstract

This study examines the strategic role of Islamic digital leadership in human resource management at SMK Mandiri Pontianak, focusing on innovation and technological adaptation. A qualitative approach was employed, with data collected through in-depth interviews with the principal, vice principals, and IT staff. The findings reveal that the principal integrates Islamic values such as amanah (trustworthiness), musyawarah (deliberation), and ihsan (excellence) into digital leadership practices to strengthen governance, internal communication, and decision-making processes. The use of digital platforms—such as academic information systems and collaborative applications—is aimed at efficiency and reflects values of transparency, justice, and collective responsibility within the ethical framework of Islamic leadership. A participatory and innovative school culture is fostered through online teacher training and promoting spiritually grounded, technology-based learning practices. Challenges such as limited infrastructure and digital skill gaps are addressed through ukhuwah (Islamic solidarity)  manifested in peer support systems, such as more tech-savvy teachers assisting others, and communal sharing of digital devices. Capacity building was conducted through periodic in-house training, digital literacy workshops, and one-on-one mentoring, with post-training surveys indicating that 85% of teachers and 78% of administrative staff experienced improved digital performance. Moral and material support included the provision of internet quotas, recognition for innovative teachers, and spiritual motivation through Islamic-themed digital leadership meetings. The novelty of this study lies in the systematic integration of Islamic values into digital leadership practices within the vocational education context, expanding the application of transformational and distributed leadership theories through an Islamic lens. This research contributes to developing an Islamic value-based digital leadership model in vocational schools.
