Abstract

This research has found that the variables of self-efficacy and individual motivation do not partially influence discipline. However, these two variables have a significant influence on the discipline variable simultaneously at 39.4 percent. These two variables also influence employee performance. Then the combination of exogenous variables simultaneously has a significant influence on the performance variable of 67.9 percent. The contribution of this research is that every organization pays attention to employee character, self-efficacy, and motivation because it influences employee discipline and can improve employee performance in terms of productivity.

Work motivation serves as a key factor in enabling employees to perform at their best. This study explores the relationship between talent management, work motivation, on employee performance through a systematic literature review. The article aims to develop a hypothesis on the influence of these variables, providing a foundation for future research. Data sources include online academic libraries, Google Scholar, Mendeley, and other open-access research platforms. The study adopts a library research method, utilizing e-books and peer-reviewed journal articles to examine existing findings. The results indicate that both talent management and work motivation significantly impact employee performance. Effective talent management strategies contribute to better performance outcomes, while work motivation serves as a crucial driver in enhancing employee productivity and engagement.

Abstract

This study aims to implement the Six Sigma method on formal men's jacket products in the garment industry to increase the level of sigma. The methodology is based on the Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, and Control (DMAIC) approach. The new approach in this study is the determination of 5W+1H using a Focus Group Discussion (FGD) with five expert judgments. The design of this study has applied the Six Sigma method at the Measure stage. It is a measurement before improvement and after the Control stage as a measurement after improvement. The results of this study have increased the level of sigma from 3.5765 to 3.7839, so there is an increase of 5.48%. Increasing the sigma level contributes to a decrease in defects at the finish line by 44.09% every month. Implementing the Six Sigma method to the DMAIC approach has succeeded in increasing the level of sigma, automatically reducing the percentage of defects and increasing the productivity of formal men's jackets in the garment industry.
